_____The setting could not be any more unsettling, the dark cold morning seeped into the flesh and bones of the morning travelers, the first tell tale signs of the approaching winter. Recent weather patterns further offsetting the scene as mist hung low across the sea and crept it’s way onto the island the group would set sail from. Drifting monotonously across the air numerous musicians played their eerie tones and songs alone the nearly vacant docks. Out in the distance, cloaked by the white vapor was the rumored ship, uninterested in docking and merely drifting outside the harbor of Druuk island. ”Travel log entry one hundred thirteen, I’m not sure how I ended up on a island while undergoing my search for Dormont but locals seemed troubled about a ship within the distance, any who sail near never returned and now it seems the ship blocks the route back to dunnstand so leaving for the mainland can not happen until this issue is resolved.” _____The dull voice came from within the mist, the figure sitting calmly on the dock while his feet soaked in the cold tides that brushed against the harbor. It would be hard to make out anything of the figure, his frame nothing but a average if not over average shadow. Two triangular shapes rested atop his head and twitched every so often. He seemed unmoving but was however writing on his scroll his many travel experiences. He spend a few more moments seated until he began to rise, his frame starting to tower over the once seated shadow. _____Morpheus was not exactly eager to be so far off his course, or the fact he now had to deal with this ship problem before anyone would be willing to take him back so he can try to return on the right track. The mist that seemed to cling to him began to break away revealing his black cat ears with blue stripes and his blue hair. The long blue coat and tan pants he wore had been custom made to fit his six foot higher and lengthy frame. _____He would be waiting for others to join him, this was without a doubt his best choice considering his current lack of any combat abilities. The most the felis had was the construction hammer at his hip and his mason chisel. Not the best items for combat at sea but he was not exactly here thinking such would have been his luck to undergo. Scratching the back of his head as he got his shoes back on and moved inland from the dock’s ledge. ”Over thirty thousand different simulations and due to the nature of the game I feel I'm still not accounting for every possibility regarding that ship… It could be merely a mirage, or a monster… This world has far too many unknowns and no seeming records of all things in a reachable location.” _____Morpheus began to mumble to himself as he walked around the docks waiting for anyone to approach, it was a good thing this chosen harbor was mostly vacant or more would spread rumors of the crazy felis, How the rumor even began was simply because Morpheus asked someone if he could overlook the droppings of their animals for research on fertilizer. Grumbling to himself as he picked up a small stone and threw it across the water, the light blop sounds hinted two skips before it sunk. _____Thinking back the felis wondered how he even agreed to get on a ship when Dormont should have only been west from where he started on the same piece of land. His right hand scratching his head as he recalled accepting some drinks after he finished helping someone repair their ship, then he woke on this dock and learned about the current situation, This was the reason he kept notes. ”I simply hope my worst case hypotheses are incorrect about this situation. The easier this task is, the sooner ships will sail me back on the right track. Maybe when I return there I can ask around to try and fill the gaps in my memory and record them for further tracking. Wishful thinking I suppose.” @Magi Heart | @Ozwin Ahab | @Corvella
There was a new quest in Terrasphere today. Yay? Magi was spending the day in the game since it was a day off from school. Trying to become stronger so that she could stop failing and be the magical girl she had set out to be. Helping people was the best way to that goal. It was what Wendy wanted to do also. When sailors were going missing. Just like that... poof, from going on board a mysterious ship at sea. It was going to be up to her to save the day! Maybe, probably better to just follow along whoever else takes this quest and help out from the rear. That was how Magi was doing most things up to this point. It all lead to the same thing though right? Her abilities were getting better maybe? It was hard to tell because the scale of the game seemed to keep going up too. It was not very fair but not much was turning out that way in general. Bringing her bow and some supplies she could gather for the quest. Magi made her way to the docks. It would be a lot easier to find than before when she was here, she was getting better with directions! That was a good sign. Magi began to quietly ask different NPC about where she could find a boat to take her to this mystery ship that was kinda 'eating people'. *Shudder* what a scary way to think of it Wendy... but it was weird. Maybe they just decided to all have a big party on the ship? Yeah that's it, and when more sailors would show up they would join in and have so much fun that they would not want to leave! Having convinced herself this would be nothing creepy, mean, or crazy. Magi Heart finally gained a little more gusto to do this. Maybe just maybe she could have fun here on that boat. Finally stop shooting things and then healing them just to shoot them again. Her current training pattern when alone. Magi frowned a little as she wondered around more. Most of these NPC were scared and did not want to go to the ship. What was she going to do? @Ozwin Ahab @Corvella
The weather isn't exactly the best for sailing, as the mist completely masks anything farther than fifty metres into a mere silhouette. But here she is, in the docks of Druuk Island. Last night was not particularly great after a supposedly short ship trip from Dunnstads turned into a seasick-inducing 6 hour of rotating your way back into Druuk Island because along the way some fisherman boats warned the ship she was in about something along a ghost ship. Still trying to overcome her seasickness, she sat around the edge of the dock and inhales deeply the chilly, shivering air of the morning. "This mission could not be more worse." The situation called for a group to be sent into the ship. An ideal choice for her would be a ship expert, a handyman, a signal expert and a muscle. Speaking of a ship expert, actually she knew a (self-proclaimed) man of the sea, which might help a lot in situation like this. Her team should be here soon, or earlier even. Did she wait in the wrong part of the dock? After looking for numbers and asking dockworkers, yes was the definite answer. She quickly made her way into a smaller shipyard, when she saw @Magi Heart asking around for a boat to take her into the ship. Another fellow player, perhaps? "Are you looking to investigate the mysterious ship too?" she approached and asked the girl "The captain of the ship that took me into this island sent me to deal with this business because apparently it disturbs our travel and his.. future business? Come, follow me." she leads the girl into what looked like the boat prepared to take them to the ship. But it looks so small and pathetic, she prays that it doesn't sink before they get there. According to the contact, more people are still arranged to be here. A familiar figure, hidden away by the mist was sitting around in the harbor next to the boat, skipping a stone as if he is waiting for someone, could be the investigation team. Corvella is sure that she had seen the blue-coated Felis somewhere, but if she hasn't? She walked towards @Morpheus and asked politely "Excuse me, are you getting on this boat to investigate the mysterious ship too?"
"Cowards the lot of you! Go hide behind your mothers' aprons!" Ozwin shouted at some sailors as he left the tavern. Try to get a few extra hands and they all start crying about ghosts. The people of this world lived near and killed honest to goodness monsters all the time and they were frightened into children by the mere whisper of ghosts. He came to this island mostly because he heard rumors that the general lawlessness produced establishments for uhh... that aside he came to this island for a good time and now there was adventure at his doorstep... he just couldn't find a ship to take him that way. Finally, finally! Someone told him a boat had been provided for any adventurers who wanted to take a crack at solving this issue and told him which dock to find it at. As he swaggered his way to the appropriate area Ozwin grinned broadly as he saw a familiar sight, @Corvella with her cute hips, sweet looking lips, and warm friendly eyes that made him want to eat her up.~ "Corvella~!" Ozwin cheered a bit as he practically began skipping towards her, at stark contrast with the rest of this currently dreary environment. "This golden haired miss bringing this poor sailor sunshine when clouds and fog make him on the docks stay, bringing me the month of May on this cold day, of course it would be Miss Corvella that makes me feel this way. <3~" He bowed and held his hand out in invitation for Corvella to allow him to kiss hers, simultaneously making a silly display of flirting with Corvella and practically announcing his status of a player character to anyone who knew the old, old song he was referencing. Whether or not Corvella denied Ozwin the honor of kissing her hand, Ozwin noticed the chibi next to her and went down to one knee to be eye level with the kid, ears telling him this one was actually a human child. A friendly smile on his face as he spoke "And who could this cute young miss be, ah but it is only polite to introduce myself first. I am known as Ozwin Ahab, just a simple sailor who likes enjoying life." He would also give this kid a polite peck on the hand but of course no where near as... ill-behaved as the one he would have given Corvella. "Oh hold on I think I still have some saltwater taffies here you can have." He had bought some earlier to share with the dock urchins and as a little sweet snack for himself. Standing back up he nodded politely at who he was guessing was another adventurer heading towards the ghost ship, and then went to inspect the... boat... "I thought they said they were providing a boat, not glorified driftwood..." Ozwin grumbled as he began to inspect the... craft thoroughly with the care of a proper sailor, even diving under the water a couple times. A few minutes later he hopped back up on the docks with the others grimacing, drying himself off with aeromancy and looking between the boat and the current condition of the sea. "The whole structure is shoddy, but the keel at least seems to be in good enough condition. I can get us there and back providing the weather doesn't stir up the sea much worse but I can't say I am terrible comfortable about the idea of the return trip." Gazing out to the sea once more he said, "This doesn't feel like the sort of sea to be relying on good fortune in, but this seems like the most valuable craft the people around here want to risk so at least it isn't a bunch of planks nailed to some barrels I guess? If you all are willing to take my word I can get us there in one piece at least hop aboard..."
”Your assumption is correct on this matter, however i’m merely doing such so I can get back to the mainland sooner. Although this ship is not much it’s better than swimming out that far I suppose.” _____Morhpeus mumbled mostly, his words likely unheard as he moved closer to the ship and yawned a bit not wanting to deal with the extremely talkative person. Thankfully it seemed they had someone who knew more about ships than Morpheus, now if it came to building one from scratch he knew nobody here could best him, but this was not a ship building quest. Ignoring the clear display of desperation for attention by the male was also a good call from Morpheus. ”In the event we do make it there is a decent chance another ship is nearby, it might need a few repairs but I know my way around broken things to fix it up maybe if the supplies are around it.” _____Morpheus moved the bag on his belt to allow it to rattle softly, reach into it to grab a few decent sized nails showing he would be ready if such was the good fortune for them. He would wait for the others to board the boat before undoing the ropes and getting on himself, using his moment to help push the boat out of the docks. However after a few moments he crossed his legs and began to write more in his scroll unless given a task. _____The sea was kind to them for the time being, the light waves brushing the boat’s sides gently and nothing seeming to cause them any trouble. However the closer they got to the targeted ship the odder things became. At first just a couple of fleeing fish, then debris from ships and lastly at the ship the mist seemed to move to reveal the horrible truth that awaited them. A seemingly empty battleship with smaller ships docked to its sides by rope ladders. Most seemingly in good condition but the ship graveyard around it hinted some did not have such fates. Morpheus’ senses alerted.
Ozwin's display of affection was too overwhelming, especially when there's other people there. Lucky for him, she isn't in the mood for drowning someone in the cold water of morning due to her lingering seasickness. She let him give a very quick kiss on her hand, which reminds her of royal visits and parties she used to attend with her parents, making her wonder whether he hails from the same royal background or just saw it from the movies of old. When Oz offers to give a kiss to the hand to @Magi Heart, she quips "You're going to kiss his hand too, aren't you?" pointing to the quiet Felis @Morpheus. He is particularly silent even in this situation. Good thing he balances the thing out in the team, though. Sometimes he is the type of the guy who gets the job done, we'll see soon... "Despite his looks, Ozwin here is actually a good guy. I'm Corvella, what's your name?" she tries to compensate the awkwardness in the air by introducing herself to Magi, despite the fact she already saw her name in her UI some time before. They are ready to let the boat into the open water after Ozwin inspect it and the others prepared for everything including supplies. She boarded the ship with everyone as it leaves the dock slowly. It might take some good minutes to even get clear vision of the mysterious ship, so she tries to get rid of her seasickness by walking around. Good lord the waves were kind to the ship, else this travel would be double as much as tiring. As Corvella walked around the ship, she spotted Morpheus sitting on his own, writing on his scroll. Interested, she attempted to get closer to see what is he writing. It would be rude if she just barge into his private space and take a look, so instead she took some distances from him, then squats and tries to introduce herself first. Okay, try to be polite and smile through the seasickness. "I don't think we're properly introduced yet. My name is Corvella." The mist thickens, especially when the mysterious ship is almost in sight. The waves become rough, and the fishes swam away and jumped out of water. Something is really wrong with the ship. Then as it comes into their vision, it reveals itself as a stationary, massive battleship. The ship doesn't look anchored, and wrecked ships are scattered around it, with some are docked, creating a horror sight of ship graveyard. A pirate ship? Impossible to tell unless they board it, as the top half of the ship is still covered by mist. She have a really, bad feeling about the ship. Corvella then suggested to the others to circle around the ship first to observe the situation, or maybe find survivors.
One thing came after another and Magi found herself on a boat heading for the mystery vassal. The group she was with was pretty friendly overall. None of them seemed to be bad people. Corvelia was the nicest and it looked like she was playing a knight! Knights were always heroic characters. There was a really flirty guy who made Magi blush and bite her lip some. This was just a video game but for a boy to kiss her was... ummm... she did not know what to say. It was something that shot her with a lot of emotion. Magi did not talk all that much anymore, but this actually broke through her shell a lot. Although whether in a good way was not known right away. Morpheous was like a sailor version of Roland in personality, at least to the young girl. He was kind of the calm smart guy. She would rely on him to lead the way most likely. Magi had lost the resolve to be a leader. She just lacked direction and power for that right now. "I'm Magi Heart... a magical girl who cures the evil hearts of bad guys... and stuff like that. I'd like to help if I can." Magi said half heartedly. Her blushing continuing for a long while after Ozwin's gesture. His offer of candy was really enticing too. Magi could not resist. "*Blush* You do? Wow! Cool beans!" Magi immediately cheered up for the candy. Grabbing the taffy and immediately nomming on it. The rest of what happened would leave her as a spectator. She was here to support and to help people, but what most adults did otherwise did not concern her. It was not going to be relatable to her after all. She thought more about how she could help here and if she could use some new moves she had been practicing. A fog began to roll in, but Magi was not afraid of it. Not with friends around, if that was what they were. At least they were not killing each other. Finally things were actually kind of normal... Wendy liked that. Liked that a lot. @Corvella @Ozwin Ahab @Morpheus
Ozwin hummed cheerily as he knotted and unknotted ropes, adjusted the moth eaten curtains that someone had dared to call sails on this boat, and thought of ways to tease Corvella as well as send her playful winks occasionally, partially as a teasing revenge for the 'despite his looks' comment. Ah even sailing a bucket such as this was enjoyable with a pretty miss on board. He did occasionally take a look at the other two passengers, one a rather odd and quiet fellow and the other a cute kid. He always had a soft spot for kids and this one was adorably playing a magical girl, she and his little sister might get along. He occasionally ruffled her hair lightly out of habit as he passed her on the ship. The mopey quiet guy... well he was a bit of a bummer but better than the troublemakers he had the displeasure of meeting lately, even better if he could use those tools of his. More than enough people could swing a sword and such but he hadn't seen much in the way of craftsmen. As the fog rolled in Ozwin grimaced and slowed the speed of the boat considerably, gracefully coasting them through what was beginning to be a tragic graveyard of ships. It was such a pitiful thing to see... The fish also started bothering him. The waters... didn't feel right. "If there is such a thing as a ghost ship we are probably about to see it," Ozwin grumbled... Until he saw it. "She's... She is beautiful... Look at her... armored beyond most but a sleekness to her design that would suggest she can keep a terrifying chase... The number of cannons would be enough to capsize a lesser ship... But there is something... wrong? Aside from her apparently being a ghost ship? Ah I'm not smart enough to stand around and make the call." Ozwin brought them alongside a boat that was in much better shape than their current one and seemed properly tied to the ship they were going to investigate. Boarding the other ship, Ozwin pulled at and tested the rope before beginning to climb it with a sailor's know how. "I will signal if the coast is clear, but if you hear me yelling that is a good sign not to climb the ropes from this side at least. Good selection to choose from here if we make a retreat... If something else hasn't already chosen them" Who the hell was he trying to be right now? Spooky story telling sailor #1? 'The First Victim?' Anyway he climbed aboard the ship... and despite the air... it seemed rather normal initially... Just something was off was all. Before signalling the others up he decided to look around the nearby corners to make sure there was no ambush set up, even activated his hunting enhanced investigation mode giving his eyes a yellow glow... But he didn't see anything. He went back to where he climbed up and lit up his hand with some aeromancy sparks and Morse code if any of those below happened to understand such. "Clear. Caution." Ozwin felt compelled to look behind himself suddenly as he swung his trident around... Nothing? He could have sworn that someone had just... Had just what actually? Said something? Breathed on his neck? The sensation of cold wet fingers on his neck despite it being dry when he checked? He unintentionally shivered. Dammit all this was a real ghost ship wasn't it. No he could just be letting stories get to his head. He stepped back to where the rope the others would be climbing up was and stood guard against the rest of the deck. What was it about this ship that felt so off? Out of place really... He heard something again but no matter where he looked there wasn't a source... Instinctively Ozwin shot his fist against his own throat just as a rope began to wrap around him seemingly on its own power. The rope couldn't strangle him but it was able to muzzle him as he tried to call and warn the others and pull him to the ground dragging him towards a door that led deeper into the ship. Before it could pull him through it though he managed to flail enough to get his feet braced on both sides of the portal and strained with a loud, furious, and painful groan as the ropes continued to pull and constrict him.
Morpheus would not fully break his focus from his writing with the older female seemed to speak to him. His writing was a mix of drawings of each person present in great detail and some facts about them one could tell at a glance. ”Morpheus.” Just his name before he returned focus to his scrolls and kept writing, now adding a name to the picture of Corvella before Morpheus took notice of the ship, his ears twitching atop his head as he stood up some time after Ozwin had already gone up. ”He says ‘Clear, caution’ Morse code using lighting, rather unique.” The feeling in the Felis’ mind would not settle as he moved to grab his hammer and busted open a barrel on their ship taking the parts to the other shipped Ozwin connected them to and started building and repairing it. When he heard the sound of Ozwin getting dragged along his ears and tail shot up and he moved as fast as he could. Hands reaching into his bag to pull out large framing nails and slamming them just enough into the haul of the large ship to use as quick scaling tool. His frame hopping over the side of the and rushing towards Ozwin throwing three of his framing nails questionably towards the sailor, the first two hitting the door frame, and the last cutting the rope enough so it tore when Ozwin got the ability to resist the dragging. Morpheus panted lightly, his hands slightly bleeding from the framing nail climb without even getting time to get his gloves on. The ship began reacting to the new threats in the area as it shook and more ropes began to move, Morpheus now falling prey to the drag as he went towards the front of the ship and was thrown off. His legs still bound by the rope as he was swung towards the front of the ship before it opened up and he was thrown inside. All Morpheus could do was growl as he rolled along the tongue of the monster and got his gloves on, clearly not focused on the right priorities as he was split from the others and left in the stomach of the beast. Thankfully his fall was broken by part of a ship and not the acid below it. Shaking a bit as he looked around with dull eyes. ”Threat level currently minimal, area has roughly thirty minutes before no longer safe to stand on, stomach fumes have about a hour to become lethal, but likely forty-five minutes before knocking me out.” Morpheus opened his UI and sent party request to each person in the group before sending a quick message he was alright for the next thirty minutes or so before he had to start worrying. With that they could also see his health tick away at a very slow rate, with things in order he had to get to work using anything he could to turn the tide. His mind was clicking well enough, arms reaching into his bags to see what he still had for parts and picking out parts of drifting wood and harpoons to get something going. Morpheus did not know if he could use everything as well as he wanted but finding the base of a harpoon gun and across the stomach the other half he figured luck was on his side. His skill with a hammer and quick thinking would no doubt be placed to the test as he checked the damage and cut what parts he could not use from each item. The scraps he gathered being trimmed down by chisel and hammer. ”Calculating total length of wood needed, calculating the spring of the harpoon gun… need more resistant to pierce anything and keep it going to cause internal damage. I always wanted to take a harpoon gun apart…” His words faint and using the minimal of his precious air, he still needed to speak to fully remember his math and calculations but as he quickly began to tighten the draw of the weapon to the very limit he still needed more. Taking a look at his twelve harpoons he had to make a risk run of the machine. Setting three harpoons close together before hammering a nail into their wood to give it better chance to cause some damage. His test shoot worked, however as the harpoon lodged itself in the stomach of the beast and caused bleeding he had something new to note. Sitting down as he watched the blood fall into the stomach acid and cause it to become fast acting and more lethal in the air. If anyone ended up in here with him they might have asked if now really was the time to sit and admire the chemical reaction and writing about it. Thankfully he was alone it seemed, and the others would know he did something to make the monster ship angry as it howled out in pain, that and his hp gauge was dropping a bit faster now. Oh what Morpheus would do for some extra draw on this weapon, but so far nothing around looked like it would hold beyond one shot. Grabbing his remaining tools to make two more heavy harpoons and load his light one into the weapon aiming at another location inside the beast. Morpheus got some good news from this shot as it sailed through the stomach and into some of the monster’s kidney or some other organ, it just told him to aim the other way really. The felis stopped mid turning of his raft to wonder how everyone was doing up above. Opening his UI and starting a party voice chat like nothing was trying to kill them or anything. ”I don’t suppose any of you carry some heavy wire with you? Likely not if you find any try to throw it into the monster’s mouth I’m a bit short from getting a good shot at the heart right now. Oh and how is it going up there anyways?” Relaxed and composed as loud sizzling could be head in the background, a light curse from Morpheus as he pulled his tail out of the stomach acid and decided to work and host the call between his group.
Morpheus answered short and clear without stopping writing. She really wanted to look at what he is writing on the scroll, but that might be rude to him. Usually people write journals or poems on their travel. But now at least she know his name, Morpheus might be a nice guy after all. Some other people reacted to her attempt at introduction by just shooing her away. Some time later, Ozwin has already made his way up into the ship while rest of the group waits for his signal. The mist don't look like it's going to lighten up soon, made her wonder if he is going to just scream from up there. Sometimes, the tension is waiting is more than every person thought. What if he got caught by whatever lurks there? She doesn't believe in ghost, but in fantasy world everything is possible. Just split second after her worrying thought, a lightning sparks from where Ozwin made his climb. Morpheus was able to interpret the message as "Clear, Caution." Phew. Now the boats are tied around, she might follow him up the deck. A sudden loud scream, obviously Ozwin's, made her stop and ready her weapon, but Morpheus jumped first and he was fast to climb aboard to help Ozwin. It seems that she better off down here, @Magi Heart could use some protecting while she casts one or two of her spells. It's not until that she saw a person being thrown into the front of the ship that she start to panic. To add, the ship start to move on its own, scattering ropes around and crushing several boats that was tied to it, making it near impossible to climb aboard now. It was clear that this ship is a gigantic mimic monster, feeding off ship parts to make up for his own. Now she really hope Magi could blast this thing to oblivion before anything worse happen. She had to take the boat away from the monster to avoid risking it being destroyed, along with her and Magi of course. She really want to get up there to help @Ozwin Ahab, but leaving the little mage on her own could prove dangerous. She questioned whether a illusion magic would work to a monster of epic proportions, but it looks like she had to try. In midst of the bizarre noise of the monster, the wind and the mess of really rough waves, a notification popped up. A party request. Then a party message from Morpheus. It looks like it was him that was flung away by the numerous flailing ropes of the ship. He managed to survive in the belly of the beast thought. Just as she found a way to help Ozwin with her illusion magic, another voice came from her head. It's actually a call from @Morpheus, and he sounds eeriely calm. A heavy wire? She's seen wires on the boat and also the same floating by the wreckages on the sea, but she wasn't sure if that's he is referring to. She quickly searched in the toolbox in the middle of the monster-induced storm. Steel wire, found it. "Found some heavy wire on the boat. Might not be want you want. Throwing it anyway, worth a try." She shouted in the party comms to make sure her voice is heard through the noise of everything that's happening. She redirects the boat into the front of the monster without getting attention from it, now that it seems more calmer than it was. She begins to recite an Illusion spell incantation, concentrating as long as possible as she draws an incantation sign behind her shield, hoping for the monster to not notice the spell light coming from her. Then she lets out a beam of reddish energy to the thing. "Rage" The collosal monster roars as it suffers from a blind frenzy, flailing around its body. Hope this will help Ozwin up there, she thought. Without wasting the chance, she threw the wire into the opening mouth of the monster, hoping that it will go in. On a second thought, the making the monster frenzied might not be the best course of action for both Corvella and Magi.
Ozwin had gone up onto the big ship.... and shortly afterward things got really, well, insane was the only word that could describe it. Maybe zany if you just found it funny. This was not very funny though. The ghost ship turned out to be some kind of giant monster! It literally ATE the Morpheus guy and Ozwin was in big trouble too! Magi had just thought not too long ago about a ship that ate people... gee whiz, she did not expect it to be for real! The ship began to rock around wildly as the creature made it's true nature known. Magi fell into the side of the boat hitting her side hard and dropping her taffy Ozwin gave her overboard. Her candy! Urgh... that was mean! Magi pulled herself up and saw that Corvella had tossed some kind of wire into the big killer boat things mouth. Then the knight cast a spell and the monster became even more furious! Gosh, that was probably not the best idea! The magical girl held on for dear life as the boat they were on thrashed around. Was she useless here too? Panic mode was setting in. Magi was always goofing stuff up. There had to be a way to help? She pulled out her bow and tried to fire but stopped. It was not going to do anything to something this big! What was she doing? "....Yellow...Heart... Power.... Protect our pure hearts!" She placed both of her hands to her chest and then shot them into the air. a sphere was generated all around the boat. It would hopefully prevent the boat from falling apart. She strained to maintain the spell but she had no choice. Hopefully Someone had a idea because Magi sure did not! Sometimes though, the girl would be hit by a ingenuity that she was completely unaware of herself... but it was not triggering this time. @Ozwin Ahab @Corvella @Morpheus
Nope-nope-nope-nope-nope-nope. Ahh why does the doorway smell like meat? The smell of meat isn't one Ozwin wants to be pulled kicking and flailing into. The rope! As soon as the rope was damaged Ozwin gave an even rougher tug trying to get himself free finally getting the damn thing to snap. He rolled out of there, recovered his trident and began tearing at any ropes that got near him only to see the quite cat guy be pulled off to... what the hell is that thing! This wasn't a ship! Not even of the ghost variety! It was a huge ass monster! Nope-nope-nope-nope-nope-nope. Okay so this was mildly more concerning that the idea of ghosts, but the situation was still salvageable. This was a sea monster apparently after all. This was supposedly what he wanted to be an expert at. It was trying to eat them sure but it didn't seem to be going all out yet so maybe... Why was it so pissed all of a sudden?!? Huh wait was that alert there before? A party request? A message? Wire? Chat hiistory had a vocal message... Ahh! Yelling. Corvella found some? This was going a bit quickly for him. Strategies were a very minor aspect of who he was... He stood cross armed thinking for a bit, chewing his lip with his eyebrows furrowed... Ah too much thinking. Ozwin looked at the door where he was initially drug towards and ran through it. Sure enough the meat smell got stronger and there were more fleshy bits eventually... Best to just stab and tear as much as he could while seeing where this path led. Wasn't like the beast could get any more pissed. Oh almost forgot. Party chat... party chat how does one... ah here we go. He typed a short message and continued running and stabbing down the hall. "Went in its head I think, stabbing everything I see that looks fleshy."
_____When the steel wire fell down Morpheus had to hop across the boiling acid to catch it before jumping back to his shrinking platform Hand spinning the wire as fast as he could around other small scraps of it he could get his hands on and wrapping them around his current weapon to add more weight to launch the Harpoons. Taking aim again with another single round and shooting it as his ears range at the cord snapping the projectile out. _____The girl’s outside would soon see the eye of the monster pop out and a harpoon hanging from the now bobbing piece of the monster. Morpheus grinned slightly before wrapping ropes loosely around his ankles and attaching them to the tri harpoon he had set up. He did a few quick numbers to judge his chance of not dying, as the result came back fifty/ fifty he pull the cord and braced himself in a cannonball pose, his bag tightly wrapped at his center. _____A few moments later he would emerge from the empty eye socket moving to undo the rope before he started to arc downward and threw his bag towards the boat before nose diving into the water. Poking back up a few moments later holding his tool belt to prevent losing any of his nails or his hammer as he swam to the ship. ”Remind me to never try and get swallowed again…” _____Morpheus’s health bar was blinking faintly as he laid across the deck reaching to hold his bag of notes and scrolls. If he just focused on getting into the right dive position he could have lowered his damage taken, but his notes would have been lost at sea. Taking a few minutes of what he called deserved rest before going around the ship to fix any damage it might have taken so far. The good news was that he also opened a quick escape route for Ozwin, that was if the male was not hit by one of the two harpoons that sailed through the head of the monster or Morpheus as he was escaping the stomach in dangerous highly suicidal flare and fashion.
The enraged monster soon turned its gaze on the boat and ready to attack @Magi Heart's protective shield, but just moments later the right eye popped out with the insides of the monsters brain part flying out along with a harpoon. Ew, gross. At least the protective sphere protected them from being sprayed with monster blood and brain. Corvella sat down on the edge of the boat, begin to build up nausea again. "Alright, will think twice before fighting big sea monster again...." The monster have seem died from combination of severe internal bleeding caused by Ozwin and Morpheus and the eye pop. Its remains float rigidly in the water, allowing them to bring the boat closer to have a postmortem inspection. Looking closer, the monster ship actually has no working part of any ship at all; all of the parts are just mimic trick. It's more organic on the insides, while real woods were actually part of the outside shell. It is a miracle that they survived against something like this. She didn't feel like she was doing something useful though. She walked up to Magi and smiled to her "You did a good job protecting us." Soon @Morpheus showed up from the eye socket and threw his bag towards them. Corvella then helped him up the boat before looking for the missing Ozwin. She hadn't heard from him after he goes on his stabby streak. Worried, she called @Ozwin Ahab through the party channel voice chat. "Oz? You there?" as she bring the boat circling around the now-dead monster.
The ship rocked and swayed but Magi was determined to not let the shield drop. Much like the time she almost drowned trying to save the fighters in the siege, and the time she expended everything she had until she went unconscious to save that one guy from the burning ship. Magi Heart, even with so much working against her, including reality, would do anything even die to help people. The fear that she felt when she died before. It's why she was determined to stick to her ideals! She could not let the nice knight lady and the sailor who gave her candy die! And... and not that other guy either! "Urgh......." She strained as her energy levels dropped. Then she noticed a stop to the rocking. She opened her eyes that had been closed tightly for focus. The monster ship thing... was missing a eye now! Morpheus was back too! Cool beans! Did she actually do well this time? Her training to get more powerful was working! Or was it the bonds she was forming with friends here? It was just a game but maybe there were hidden moddy things or whatever they are called? Magi smiled meekly at Corvella's praise. That was rare. No one ever seemed to praise her for doing her job as hero. It often just got lost in whatever crazy stuff was going on. So now what was going to happen/ There was still a big mean ship and it looked unhappy to lose it's lunch and eyeball. @Morpheus @Ozwin Ahab @Corvella
