    ❰ 1107 / 2000 HP ❱
After clearing the prisons in one way or rather, most of the teams were able to meet up together in one of the garrisons where their equipment was held. Armed with their old equipment again, they set out into the eastern wing, zeroing in on the exit. Standing in their way, however, was the Warden of the Prison, who supposedly came together with the ring-eyed army that took over the prison a few weeks ago. He wield a staff that had a golden phoenix on one end, which he used for fire spells, and a rocky shard on the other, casting earth spells.

After the party was caught by the Warden's Earth Grasp, they began the fight on a strong foot. However, as his health approached the halfway mark, Hasc summoned a fire boar and cocooned himself in an earth dome afterward.

The boar went on a complete frenzy, charging through the party. Despite @Astor Balthas and @Ilusa Nakhalee best attempt to keep the boar in place, it knocked him aside and sent everyone in its way flying. It also spread fire on his path. Knowing that he had screwed it up, Astor immediately summoned rain to contain the fire...

"Shit, the boar is going on a rampage, hurry up and get out of the way!!!"

Although Astor shouted to the rest of the party, it was far too late, the boar was already tearing through the players, knocking them left and right, spreading nasty wyldfire among his group. He grimaced and quickly got up and began casting Rain.

    "Allura metara helzone felir"

  5. A lot had happened in the span of a few minutes. The warden had created an eye that had froze most in stone, while his guards pushed outwards. Swiftly Roland had brought his assault to the warden's minions seemingly killing them outright, while healers managed to free those who had been encased in stone. He had hoped the fighting would be mostly over at that point but the Warden summoned an awful firey boar, that ran amock goring and knocking the others over. Ignoring the fire spewing from the pig, Roland charged forward, slashing both of his blades at the beast, aiming for its torso, and hoping the attack would end with some roasted bacon on the floor.

Kyupin reels back as boar tusk clips her side, eyes pinching at the pain. Vulcan, ever faithful, immediately retaliates against the boar, jaws snapping at it. He manages a bite before the boar is rushing away again. Kyupin pulls her bowstring taut and lets loose an arrow, watching it soar through the air and stab into the thick, earthen wall. Lowering her bow, she turns her gaze to Vulcan, looking over his exhausted form. "Thanks, buddy," she mumbles, scratching behind his ears in a moment of fondness, before snapping back to attention. It would do no good to get herself killed this late in the game.

  12. They were all too weak to keep standing up against a full internal assault's requirements, but there was no choice to be had. The burning bite of the fire before and the flames spread by the rampaging summon were both soothed by Astor's casting. It was nice to see the "king" finally making efforts to contribute to a fight. Perhaps being tortured under their hands at the behest of the Warden had taught him some things in the game would do him well to take seriously.

Not that she was glad he was tortured. For all her distaste of the man, it still left a bitter lingering in her mouth like bile and in her mind like the heavy slick of a nightmare in her mind knowing that he and Kyupin had writhed and screamed beneath their ministrations.

She'd have them all slaughtered for it. Starting with the beast who gored and trampled and set Naixi alight. It could not be allowed to stand and the singular Precision Shot she fired was more than enough to blast apart the beast leaving it near nothing standing before them. Now it was only the dome left to weather. The Warden could not run and soon he wouldn't be able to hide either.

With the fiery boar creature out of the equation, the only thing standing in front of the party were the warden, shielded by his dome and his guards.

Too many damage were sustained in the previous boar rampage, and we won't know what's coming next. After analyzing the surrounding in investigation mode for a bit, Corvella raised her shield and moved further to the front, ready to react should another strike be cast.

Ursula was knocked back with ease by the fire boar that the party failed at stopping its imminent charge. "Fuckin' ugh! If dealin' with a ton ol' guards and a shitless mage ain't enough, we have to deal with a fuckin' boar!" she complained as she stood up once more. Her current options weren't exactly great - she either dealt with the fire boar or the coccoon. Given her specialization in dealing with explosive addons on her beloved pickaxe, her choice was obvious.

The blacksmith rushed forth while reloading the charges of her addon. A loud click could be heard as she succeeded, pickaxe descending upon the earth coccoon. "If theres somethin' I'm good at, it's blowin' up rocks!" she then pulled the trigger mechanism, her weapon generating a blast upon the coccoon.

  18. Instinct told him to resurrect Naixi, to repay the lioness for all her hard work in the past, to give Ashiore something to smile about. But greed, no, fear of the mounting possibility of a certain other’s death kept him from say those sacred words, right as that grand revival song came off cooldown. There was no hatred there, as the rain soothed his burns, soaking his scorched, bloodied banner. No inciting incident that would call out his habit, his love, of indulging in his impulses. Steel struck against stone, the hollow flagpole resonating with the impact, a clear pang against the din of battle.

Light shimmered from the soaked banner as healing words mixed with the constant rain. They rang clear over the death throes of the flaming boar, clear over the melee of guards and the flash of magic. A scintillating aura descended upon Kyupin, Gwyn, and Ashiore’s body, wounds soothing as the rain dance continued, droplets of water flicked horizontally with each swing. This was all he could do. As long as the fight continued like this, as long as they all lacked so much in terms of health, Cain would continue to work his healing magic.

To continue to dance; to continue to speak.

“Ashiore, Naixi didn’t offer her heart to you for you to crumble apart afterwards.”

    What was he even saying?

“She wouldn’t have passed away if she wasn’t confident that you’ll be fine without her.”

    What was he even doing?

“So pick yourself back together. Naixi’s still watching!"

He knew exactly what he was doing.

"C'mon, Ash! Show her your fangs!”

She couldn't believe that Naixi was dead.

The fight raged on around her--vaguely, she realized that that board was extinguished, that the rocky dome enveloping the warden was battered down, that a few more guards fell in the commotion. It was all filtered through an awful, warped lens.

She heard Cain though, his words breaking through the haze. He was right. She had to... had to pull herself together. Everyone was still here, they still weren't done.

Okay. She could do this. Getting up, she set her eyes on the dome, slowly tracing a spell in the air. The moment that warden and his blasted staff emerged, she'd be ready.

It was no secret that Alphabet Chocolate had a certain fondness towards Roland that bordered on a parental worship. The man had been there for her during tough times and they had seen through a good many fights together; it was only natural for her to develop an attachment. It was only through this bond that she managed to tear herself away from Naixi's body, the lion growing cold and stale as time passed, and get back into the fight.

As much as she wanted to scream. To cry and shout at the unfairness of it all, she had urgent and pressing matters that brought her out of her depression and agony. "D-don't worry, Rudolf," she said, her voice cracking with a wavering smile. "I've got your back!"

Though they tried, they did not manage to hold back the rampage. She saw it goring Astor and then a hot and piercing pain spread from her gut up to her lungs and then to her all nerves. There was a feeling of heat, as if fire latched onto her and the force of the attack, threw her away. In the air, Ilusa tried to use all she knew in her life to make her fall a controlled roll.

She succeeded, rolling on the hard ground but not receiving additional damage, even though she left a red trail in her roll. Panting in pain she rose from her knees looking around, as rain fell and the fire on her clothes died into nothing. It seemed everyone got hit by the beast. It seemed that the main enemy hid himself behind a dome. It seemed the guards were still open to attacks. It seemed the boar was being attacked.

She glanced at the people, checking the health bars of everyone. Astor was fine. Roland was.. Fine, but for a tank too low. There was also a dying pet and that potion chugging muse who were in red; but the muse could deal with his own health. After that.. Eleanor, was the one who was hurt the most and whom she could reach.

“Trülfar bärnoi dunhyohan-turya, moitrashnahya prëhär.” Words of power flowed, light lit her wand. She touched her own stomach then chest, feeling the wetness there. It was fine, she did not have the bleed effect. Visually it looked horrible, she was not losing more health. “Imsemne ho gresi hjaltär.” The spell was chosen. “Renta rura vresti lupre.” The targets were chosen. “Ghu-” Yet as she took a next breath her lungs lurched. “D-Drestau.” She finished the healing spell, paller than normal.

Swept up with the recoil of her previous attack, Eleanor was quickly caught off-guard. While the Warden, her primary target, had retreated behind a earthy barrier of sorts, a flaming boar had emerged, charging through the ranks of her and her allies. Very narrowly evading the boar's rush. The madness of combat was no doubt upon them, and the detective was once more in the thick of it.

Very briefly, she allowed her gaze to waver away from her enemies for more than a split instance, landing upon @Kyupin Felnya. Silently, she breathed a sigh of relief. Regardless of whether the comrade had been damaged, mentally or physically, it was nice to know that the friend was still alive. Though the thought of allies and rejoicing faded from her mind as quickly as it had come, her gaze refocusing on the hostile guards surrounding the warden's defensive cocoon.

Incoming healing from @Ilusa Nakhalee was much appreciated and welcomed. Without the help of supports she had met along the way, there was no chance Eleanor would have made it this far.

Setting aside odds or chance of survival, Eleanor sent out a charm, the projectile arcing out into one of the armored foes, before another was propelled another behind it, the paper talismans made much more powerful as they radiated with violet arcanamancy. She did her best to continue putting pressure on the enemy, knowing that there was no way in hell this conflict could be resolved with words.

The Earth Dome that the Warden cocooned himself into slowly rose up from the ground and floated into the air where it pulsated dangerously, its surface expanding and contracting rapidly as though it was a heart beating out of control. Then, it exploded in an instant, scattering sharp spikes that covered every inch of the room.

After the Warden revealed himself, Ashiore used a spell to yank the staff out of his grasp, she succeeded. However, the staff was far too powerful for her to wield and ended up burning her hands. Fortunately, it was but a minor burn.

Abel who had been hovering around the Earth Coccoon took damage, but made the mistake of looking directly into the Warden's eyes. In an instance, he grabbed his head and roared in pain, before he turned toward Ashiore and lunged at her. He succeeded in closing the gap between himself and Ashiore taking the staff from her and throwing it back to the Warden. The Warden used his levitation to catch the staff with no effort.

Smaller Boars finished materialized and rampaged through the room, goring people on the way, spreading fire yet again.

As the Warden appeared, Ash tried the vine trick again, yanking the staff right out of his hands. Fortunately, it worked, and she didn't even mind the slight burning sensation on her palms, or the shards of rock from the exploded dome. Unfortunately, she was so full of angry satisfaction that she didn't expect Abel to wrestle the staff out of her grip, tossing it right back to the Warden.

Gritting her teeth, she tried to pat out the flames on her clothes, she surveyed the battlefield. Oh no, things weren't looking good at all. Most everyone was set on fire again, but there were a fair number who looked worse off: Cain, for one. Corvella looked like she'd need some healing after shielding quite a few others. And-

Her heart almost stopped as she saw the condition that Kyupin's wolf Vulcan was in. The sight of Naixi's charred body flashed through her mind, and she had to resist the urge to look at the trampled corpse that she knew was there. She couldn't let that happen. Not again.
