    Little Runaways
All day, the children played and the town was merry. The sounds of laughter and fun plagued the ears of those all around; in the form of squeels and giggles. As the chilren were at play, running about, blessed with such a wonderous day. The parents sat comfortably cuddling as they watched their kids, drank their lemonade and conversed. It was quite the social gathering; one might mistaken such a feat as some sort of holiday. Few and far inbetween were inside their homes; from the cooks to the crafters. It seemed everyone was out an about, as if such a day could not be wasted.

As the scent of lilacs filled the air and the sun's warmth rained down upon all around it. It all seemed all to perfect; yet as the day dwindled down and the sun's kisses began to fade it grew quiet and folks seemed to be retreating back to their humble lives, what seemed like the prefect day for most; soon becam a nightmare for one family. This family in particular was that of the twins; Inna and Inza who seemed to somehow just disappear out of sight.

The plans were for the children to have a giant sleep over; once returning back to their home with their friends. But as they began arriving and their children remained missing something finally clicked and as such a panic began to occur. Contacting the other parents seeking to find the miscommunication and appearance of their kids seemed futile. With no real indication, their parents sought out the aid of the local authorities who said they couldn't do much til they were officially missing longer than a few hours.

A nightmare for any parent who has ever lost their kid; the thoght that those who are in charge to uphold the law, serve and protect you refused to aid let alone even lift a finger in search. But where they turned their backs, other hands reached out. A small child recollecting possible location would inform them of their children running off into the woods. The local families around would aid and assist in forming search parties, hoping to help the couple find their babies.

All through the night they'd search the nearby forest, with hopes of waking from such a nightmare to find their kin alive and well. But to no avail, did they wake. Hours passed as the search party died down, the constant howling and sudden shifting within the woods left many retiring early before the monsters and beasts made themselves known. But before they could dare return empty handed, the parents had come across an adventurer deep within the woods.

I'm sorry, but this was all we found. Was what he'd say as he handed over the teddy bear to the mother, and pulling the father aside to lead him to a path not far off. Torn and tattered cloth from a dress was apparent. The look of fear spread across his face as his jaw dropped and a few drops of blood seemed to run along the path. A look of sympathy passed as the male apologized and reassured him that they still could be fine.

Agreeing as his daughter was smart and would protect her son, he'd head back home with his wife to try and rest; the citizens returning to their home as the sun rose and the very next day began. Yet word spread quick and rumors arose, the partents offing their own children as a ploy to be free, others claiming that they were kidnapped by beast. But more often than not the tale of a wolf eating them. A sad but possible ending to our story.

Yet should any brave heroes arrive in Brisshal they'd surely overhear about such events and be prompted by an emergency quest. But as time has passed and more questions araised and a few helping hands seemed eager to help. None so more than the male Aaron Steele, a wana be hero with something to prove and a soft spot for kids; that and MILFs.

So it came to no surprise the otherwise, motivate and depraved knight would offer his services. Eyes gazing upon the figure of the mom then bac to her husband his mind raced with thoughts and ideas, unsure of how to approach the situation but still keeping civil, despite his desire to speak on matters otherwise inapproriate.

"I've heard of your misfortune, you have my sympathy. But I am willing to aid in your search. You can trust me Ma'am I will find your kids, just please give me some time. Know it may be more dangerous than you think. This is the second night and the forest can be dangerous. The sun is setting now, I best get a move on. I'll join the party you've mustered and will do my best."

He'd say as he bit his lip some and shook his head patting the father upon his shoulders,

"You are a lucky many, in more way than you know. But from one man to another, your lucky I came here when I did. I'l find your daughters; you have my word. I vow on my name, Aaron Steele, Adventurer extordinaire."

He'd say with a cocky grin as he shook on the contract accepting the quest being instantly logged into a party of four with the others who managed to make it into the same Que. A faint smile passed seeing their names as he chuckled. Scanning through it he'd activate the marker and place it by the forests edge, setting a meeting spot for the crew.
Making his way downtown, walking fast, faces pass And he's honor-bound; off to the forest to find the girls.

Once he arrived just outside the foreet the brave hero would lean against a tree waiting to meet with the others. His eyes scanning over the area; a feeling of not being alone sinking into the core of his being. A chill running up his spine as he felt eyes creeping in on him as well a cool breeze kiss upon his neck. He was normally not afraid of the dark, but something about this entire mission felt off. Wrong and otherwise preplanned to be riddled with danger and dark themes. All puns intended, this male felt like things would only get worse from this point forward.

With all this runing through his mind, it was clear he was drowning in thought. None the less once the brave souls arrived he'd shift his attention their way and smile, extending his hand to greet and introduce himself to each one.

"The name's Aaron Steele, I'll be your sword and shield for this quest, pleasure to meet you all. So if yall don't mind telling me, what else you know about this quest aside from lost kids, a dangerous woods and neglegant parents. I find this a bit odd, but hey I can't be too critical it's a game right?"

He'd ask curiously as a sudden howl could be heard, not far off in the distance, almost as if to let them know the race was on. A hunt, between them and the beast; could they save the kids? Were they even savable; or did they reside deep within the beasts themselves, waiting to be freed as they ventured into the night gutting the beast along the way. Little was known, except the longer this took, the more likely death was for not only the kids but possibly themselves.

[OOC: Please post up your introduction to the quest and the party. From there will the final and last member to post take the lead into the woods and carry on the story. I've set it but would like to see us all paint this beatiful masterpiece; I'd love combat to be done in an attempt form with rolls being hits and misses. Odds and evens; thoughts and opinons?]

  2. Catharina sat on the floor, crowded by children too anxious to sleep. Two girls had taken it on themselves to braid her hair while some boys had run off with sticks and brooms to simulate a sword fight. Only after she had refused to give her rapier away. Beginner gear or not, a six year old shouldn't play with a fancy BBQ skewer. The carpet was nice and soft under her butt, combing through the third girl in her lap. The red strands were beautiful and she was dutch braiding them as she waited for more volunteers for tonight's search.

The parents had been frantic. Walking infinite loops in the house to ignore the helplessness they much feel. Yet the forest was too dangerous for normal citizens without sufficient weaponry. The monsters too agitated to safely wander and search for the bodies of their children. Catharina wasn't sure if the twins would be alive and afraid or cold and lifeless. She truly hoped for the first, the thought of two children being eaten was nauseating. Just NPC’s, she thought when she had heard the story and took the quest. Not real, she thought when she waited for other players to help her on this venture. But here she was, braiding a kids hair because she had come crying downstairs because what if the wolf would come to eat her?

She hadn't any siblings in the real world. Too bad mother never wanted any other children.. Caterina had been consoling the parents and several adults until the stories became repetitive. The children, they were endless in their information. Of course, most of their intel was nothing more than their wild horrors and fantasies.

There were some interesting wild theories about enchantments, about hauntings and possessions. “Lately he has been having weird nightmares. Inna keeps finding her brother in the shed.” One girl whispered. “I heard he once was so terrified, he wet his bed.” Others said in a low tone and all the kids made a face of disdain. “Well, I think he is just a big baby. I think the wolves will feast tonight.” The snotty boy turned up his nose but one of the girl stepped on his toes with vengeance.

Play nice kids.” Cat smiled wryly as she smoothed the hair out from the girl in her lap. The girl had curled up against her chest. Slowly Catharina took the girl in her arms and moved her to the couch. She draped a big plait over the girl's shoulders when she heard a louder voice from the front of the house. Another adventurer?

Pale, spiky hair and relatively a giant compared to Catharine, introduced himself as Aaron Steele. A cocky grin plastered on his face, gosh they found another hero. Keep smiling.

Oh, thanks for joining! The extra hand will be necessary, the monsters are quite agitated at night.” Catharina smiled as she walked into open sight and waved cheery, taking his hand when offered and shook it firmly.

Catharina. The kids here had several theories, but most were outrageous. Eaten by wolves, witches and such. But Inza had nightmares lately and he kept wandering into the forest. His sister has been looking out for him, trying to keep their parents from worrying too much. But the other kids noticed Inna's worries.” She stroked her french elf braid and sighed. “I hope we will find them before anything bad happens to them. They are only 10.” She worriedly looked to the children in the other room.

(Ooc: Alright guys good to go that were some minor details I wanted to add)

  3. Magi Heart was coming!
The girl who spread love and justice!
Struck down evil meanies wherever they lurked!
Made friends with everyone that knew love in their hearts!
Then would go and make friends with meanies who learned their lessons!
The one and only, Magi Heart!!!!!

The girl was reciting lines over and over in her head as she headed for the quest location. Children vanishing? Was it a evil force at work? This was just like a episode of her favorite anime! This was it then.... she had a bit of practice with her bow. Even if she had failed the training test. This would be a fun way to relive a actual episode of magical girl anime with herself as the main character! Okay kids... your hero is coming! Wendy's heart was pumping even outside of the game. Magi Heart stopped in front of the door of the home in question. Remember to do this right! She straightened her skirt and made sure her bow was not present in her hands. She did not want whoever lived here to dismiss her as some kid either. She was a hero and tried to put on a determined look. Like those guys in detective films and police officer shows. Ready to defend the peace, yeah!

Knocking on the door, Magi Heart waited.

The door opened and a woman with a very stressful look and red eyes from what was probably caused from hours of crying stock her head out of it. She looked around and saw no one before looking down. Her fingers went to her mouth as she stuttered out what the little girl in the cute dress wanted. She also asked if Magi Heart had seen her two children? If she had been with them. Magi Heart was lost for how to respond for a moment. This poor game lady was really upset. The quest was about missing kids so of course they thought Magi may know something considering her age.

"Um... I'n sorry mam. I haven't seen them but I am here to help!"

She placed to fingers to her head and posed, not really aware that it was kinda offensive to be so light hearted right now. It was just a game though and that's what magical girls did.

"Could you let me talk to the other children? I think some other people had come earlier too."

Magi tried her hardest to do this right. The woman was obviously doubtful that a child would help save a child but she guided her to where the children were. Among them was a woman and a really big man. Like a giant tank man. Wowzers! Magi Heart gave a quick bow and another two fingered salute. Her eyes closed and she smiled to the children and her likely future party members.

"I'm Magi Heart! Don't worry kids! I'm a magical girl of love and justice! I'll help find you friends!"

  4. Dempsey waited outside, pacing a set route that covered a ten meter semicircle a short distance from the quest marker that signaled the groups meeting point. She received Aarons greeting with lukewarm enthusiasm, muttering to herself something about another idiot with a sword and shield. They were useful idiots though, performing a role that she herself cared not to. She was agitated at the notion of yet another quest spent surrounded by bumbling amateurs crashing nosily about while she did her best to maintain some sort of stealth. When she worked alone, she could pick and choose engagements at her leisure, and only strike when the advantage was hers alone.

Furthermore, she hated kids and only agreed to this quest because it offered her the opportunity to do what she did best; creep around at night and kill things. The rest of her group could sort out the details and worry about the kids. She wasn't here to make friends and play the hero. To her, this was simply another job. More money, more training, and one of many small steps toward reaching her ultimate goal.

She paused and looked up o the starry nights sky as the moon was momentarily obscured by a passing cloud. The rest of the group was still inside, hopefully gathering useful information from the locals. Maybe one of them would even have some inkling of how to track, so that why would only be sort of blindly crashing through the night forest, and only a little lost while doing so. luck was seldom as fortunate as this to her though, and she flicked her palm menu into existence to check her group once more.

Aaron was the prototypical fighter, Catharina seemed to be a swordswoman of sorts, though likely a caster hybrid, based on her stats. Magi was at the fight against the spider queen. although as competent as the rest, she was obnoxious to the point where Dempsey would rather have just about any other player on Terraspehere along for the trip. Way too into the whole magical school girl thing, to an extent that was borderline creepy. Finally, there was Alphabet. Alpha also had a talent for irritating Dempsy, but at least she didn't recite maho shoujo battle cries and sing all the damn time. This would be an adventure for sure.

She maintained her silent vigil until the group had gathered, and simply regarded them with a cool nod of her head as she asked "We ready to go then?"
