  3. Lucia noticed the current, it wasn't going to be fun, she tried to brace herself, but hadn't really been that strong of swimmer from the start. The crash of the wall at her back was unpleasant and painful as well disorientating, but not something she couldn't deal with after the raid. It had been far less painful then absorbing dark powers into her body or being struck by lightning. Trying to get her bearings once more, she shot Jack a glance, hoping he understood her intention before she started forming hand-gestures while keeping herself upright.

Slowly but surely the Lavender glyph began to carve itself once more into the air. The gentle purple glow of her spell taking shape as she began to try and construct a barrier to create a safe space from the water. She didn't have enough speed to construct it entirely on her own however, she could only hope others would help fill in the blanks of her barrier as she continued making hand gestures in an effort to expedite the process even a little.

  6. The reek of iron and copper was permeating through the room now as the battle came colliding into the middle of the hall. Aeiou’s vision slowly refocused, dodging just milliseconds in time as spells and arrows streamed by. His trusty steed plowed onwards, instilling new faith in those around them. Suddenly allies were charging down the lines, creating a thin but growing line through the enemy. Aeiou’s eyes grew wide as the heat rose as adrenaline pumped. Blood showered across his front and he found himself wiping his eyes clear just in time to see a rush coming down the hall. Right towards them.

Regret. Regret was a thing being felt right now.

”Owowowowowow.” Aeiou’s cry was met with the raging water as it plowed through them. His tiny hands wrapped themselves around the Admiral’s head and struggled to keep their grip as water forced itself into Aeiou’s nose and mouth. With a forceful cough, he focused his energy and let out a warbled chant, forcing a barrier to bubble around Aeiou and the Admiral, slowly expanding against the rapids.

  10. Magi Heart watched when the entire floor imploded and dozens of people fell to their death. Just like that. Yep Wendy learned awhile ago that this was not a kid's game. It did not seem like good guys received any buffs for being heroes. That was how her favorite anime and manga worked. The power of love and friendship would push the heroes to victory over the evil guys. Always. This was war though... it was really hard to tell if she was even fighting for the good guys here. These guards were fighting for a evil tyrant king right? They did mean things and enjoyed it right? This was not curing them though... it was killing them. Magi Heart was not a killer. Was she?

Having no choice but to follow others into one of the other two wings of the castle. Magi would head east. It just seemed to have less scary people in it. Then again, she was not as easily scared anymore... more like just kinda in awe of things. She had a lot of work to do if she wanted to bring love and justice to people. Was the real world like this too? Yes probably... she just kinda ignored it. Someone had to stand up for this right? Wasn't that a magical girls job?

The next room had enemies too. So she had to shoot them. It was just a game after all. Shoot the man Magi. Shoot them over and over....

    "gruglegurglegurgle"

The sound of people drowning quickly would present itself to the girl when WOOSH went a tide of water right into her. She opened her mouth but no sound came out as she focused on holding her breath. This reminded her of the clockwork place. The evil snake monster that tried to drown her then too. That turned out to be a trick... this probably was real though. Game real anyway. Magi Heart had to focus and not mess up anymore!

She mouthed her magic with her hand over her mouth as she swam forward. Her small body making it easier for her to get past people in a hurry. She would try her best to save as many as she could. Magi Heart had to save these people, she just had too! Even if she died again she had to be useful!

Casts Yellow Heart Power to create a BARRIER for as many as she could to prevent drowning.Ignoring herself and focusing on @Aaron Steele .

  13. The enemy forces seemed to be retreating into rooms or running down the other stairwell, allowing the siege forces to really press forwards and fill the hallway with their numbers. It was crowded, but it was necessary, and the few straggler enemy soldiers would soon either surrender or be put to the sword and stepped over. At least, that had been the theory. But then a mage had appeared in her vision and several messages from Steel had popped up as she, alongside their squad leader, saw water begin streaming towards them in a deadly torrent. Behind them, the end of the hallway exploded into rubble and trapped them like rats to be drowned. Damn it! If she got "fear of water" over this she'd be the worst Admiral ever... She already spent too much time on the land as it was.

Steel's message had been... something. But in case anyone behind her was missing the bigger picture of what was heading their way, she shot them a rapid message.

Anyone here ever seen the Shining? Think bloody hallway.

Watching the water come, she braced for its impact, feeling its cold and overpowering force nearly sweep her off of her feet. It was the heavy armor that saved her from being crushed, but it was that same armor that kept her from getting any air unlike the others who were able to swim to the ceiling, catching last gulps of breath, before everything flooded completely. She saw that her weapons were still bathed in holy light from Jack and, not one to waste a gift, continue to clobber enemies while she let the nerds figure the drowning shit out. Although she did raise one concern to them...

Uh... By the way. What do we do if the hydromancer freezes all of us in here?

But he couldn't do that. Right?

  16. With the level quickly flooding, the light radiating from Jack’s person slowly became smothered before subsiding entirely. Mentally cursing the enemies for the large amount of fluids sent surging into the corridor, he’d gripe a bit silently. Shouldn’t death by drowning be a war crime of some sort? If it wasn’t, he’d have to keep note to use such a tactic for future reference. Unfortunately the guild currently lacked any truly proficient hydromancers currently.

No longer needing to focus his energies on not drowning thanks to the erected barrier, he’d quickly begin mending the wounds of those around him with a brief incantation. Light would dawn down from an unknown source, washing away their pain and easing their breathing patterns once more.

  19. The rush of water slammed Sera into a wall, and her mouth opened in a gasp of shock and pain. Water rushed in, filling her lungs, making her cough, which only made her situation worse. She fought, hard, trying to get herself under control. The feeling of dying while not being completely in control of your body was terrifying. Her eyes burned, not just from the water but she knew she was crying too. Panic flooded into her just like the water. What would dying do to her baby?

Just then, @Aaron Steele tapped her foot, motioning to the door. She steeled herself, the thought of the baby and his presence giving her the strength to pull through. With a wordless chant, she gathered up energy, preparing to destroy the door so that all the water could flood out. If this didn't work, she knew she could die. Might die. Would die. It had to work.

Her mind raced. What would work the best? Aeromancy's electricity would hurt everyone, and it's air would be useless. Hydromancy would be difficult with this much water already. Geomancy would move slow. Pyromancy would fizzle. Illumancy wouldn't be solid enough. Arcanamancy might disperse since it was pure mana. She frowned as she realized she would have to use naturalmancy and rot the door. She thrust her hand forward, moving her chant as best as she could while trying to keep more water out, and holding on to consciousness. As the spell launched toward the door, her vision darkened. It had to work...

With might and effort, you and your group had somehow managed to swim to the other end of the series of corridors to reach what appeared to be a strange, plugged up hole. At that moment, the Elven reinforcements arrived, they managed to break through the collapsed wall at the entrance into your section to drain the water from the entire eastern wing. Finally, you can breathe!

With your attention turning back to the plugged up hole, several mages began working together (they would invite you if you were a magic practitioner) to use magic and unplug the hole. Through combined efforts, your group forged a path down to the 2nd level.
