Magdalyn was no stranger to alcohol. Lena was in her mid-twenties, after all, so she had spent her fair share on bottles of fruity white wine. What better way to unwind after a particularly rough Tuesday in November? Wine was practically in a middle school teacher's job description. But this was not sipping wine in her PJs during a Netflix binge. It was not drinking to relax. This was drinking to drink. Jomei had suggested it, and after a bit of encouragement, she had agreed. So she found herself perched on the edge of her chair, her elbows on the table, a tall glass of ale clasped between her hands. The dress she had worn to to the event might have look out of place in any other bar, but here, it was just another costume. Besides, when the vast majority of the crowd was drunk, no one would notice her attire anyway. "Alright, Jomei," she stated, eyeing him across the table. She lifted her glass, and watched the amber liquid slosh over the lip of the cup. "To your health." Then, she threw back her head, and drank. @Jomei Wellness: - 10 Drunkenness: + 00 Thrown dice: 45 95 73 54 85 27 64 7 440 Win: 0 / Lose: 0
Jomei stood up from another victory at the drinking table, a hearty laugh bubbling up from the Yladian's chest. As he turned around, he saw a familiar head of blue hair walking by, in a dress that set the woman apart from her usual battle armor. With a grin, the man walked away from the tables and stepped in front of her. "Mags!" he said, a little more outgoing than the elven man usually was. "Come on.. I need someone new to drink with.. and I think you got what it takes." he said with another laugh, taking the girl's hand in his own and leading her back to an empty table, where another sixteen mugs of ale were set up for the next combatants. Despite a bit of pulling in the opposite direction, he encouraged her to play along. As she sat down across from him, Jomei took one of the mugs of ale in his hand, trying his best not to spill any of it, which did not work much at all. "Let's see what you got, Miss Magdalyn." he said with a playful wink and a chuckle, before tossing the drink back, and letting the amber alcohol flow down his throat. One after another, Jomei downed the cups of beer until the last drop of the farthest one hit his mouth. He then slammed the last cup on the table, wiping his lip of excess drink with his thumb. His hooded hazel gaze looked at the two women.. no.. one woman, who sat across from him, a smirk pulling at his lips. "Hmm, looks like I underestimated you." Mags grinned across the table at him. "To be fair," she confessed, "many people do. I'm a much bigger threat than most people assume." Then she laughed, enjoying the warmth that the first mug of ale kindled within her. "Besides, you are a lot further along than I am. How long have you been here anyway?" The goofy expression he wore, that crooked little smirk, suggested it had been quite some time. "I have to wonder how many people you've drank under the table," she continued, "or how many tables you've been put under." Something devilish flashed in her eyes. "In the spirit of you under a table, let's go for another round." She motioned for another, and the hurried waitress had to clear off the table before more glasses could be set down. Making room, Mags thought, amused. How many cups did a place like this go through on a night like this? Armed with more ale, Mags grabbed for another. Her gaze never left him as she downed her next drink, watching him over the rim of her glass. When she finished off another line, she slammed the last cup down, much in the same style Jomei did moments before. "Wooo," she exclaimed, giving her hair a toss. "That one was even better than the first." Wellness: - 10 Drunkenness: + 10 Thrown dice: 47 29 13 58 70 12 97 99 425 Win: 1 / Lose: 0
The man rested his arms on the table, his body leaning forward slightly, listening to Mags talk. "I've been here for.. a little bit.. not too long." His brow raised when she wondered how many people had drank him under the table, a more sober smirk forming on his lips at Mags bit of trash talk. In hopes to win another round of the game against him, she called to the bar wench to set up another round. His hazel eyes locked on Mags as the waitress cleared all of the mugs off of the table, refilling them with all of the various ales. "Pretty confident in yourself that you'll win again? Alright.. I'm game." As the steins were placed back in front of them once again, Mags took the initiative and lifted the first to her lips. Jomei did the same, both of their eyes locked as the drinking game seemed to turn into more of a race. The Yladian had no problems getting through the first seven mugs of ale, however it was on the last one that he felt a churn in his stomach. Barely finishing the mug, the man placed it on the table, his free hand clenching at his gut. "Oof." he grunted as he exhaled, looking back up at the blue haired woman. "I was wrong again, I suppose." he said with a laugh. Wellness: - 00 Drunkenness: +65 Thrown dice: 79 81 59 34 53 53 56 27 Win: 4 / Lose: 2 Result: 507
