This is the communication thread for the following DM Challenge:
Beware The Forest

This thread exists separately from the main play thread so your character can communicate with other people outside of the strict cycle limitation.

Rules

Short dialogues, one sentence action, 100 words max.
Use [*b1]text[*/b1] for action coloration, if you'd like.
If you would like to talk with someone, tag them.
Bubbles denote conversation had within proximity of your party + NPCs.
Text denotes conversations had via the "chat box" through the UI.

Eyes narrow at @Destiny Divebird, ears pinning back in mild annoyance and displeasure from the way the other player is addressing her. Gee I wonder, not sure if it might be the bow on my back... She's glaring defiantly now, still trying to decipher what to think of this other player.

…Naw, just since the disappearances started happening now that I think on it. Everything was all quiet and calm before then. But, uh, whatcha mean talk to em? Dem nature spirits? Oh, I dunno. We ain't got no druids living in the village and them type don't come outta the forest for anything...

Yeah, deer n wolves real common around these parts. Sometimes we get some big ol cats that appear around fall, but they don't stay around. Got some wild boar in the forest, ain't seem em in a bit tho. Flying squirrels too. They done gone missing as well.

Yes’m. Some o’ dem animals started going missing before the people did. Couldn’t find no mating grounds or dens or tracks o nothing. So, people started goin in deeper and deeper and now they just ain’t coming back no more…

Wait… the folk were nature spirits? She blinks, unsure if Caroline’s misunderstanding her question or if the folk that passed by and rented no room before going deep into the forest were spirits. Or did I misunderstood you somewhere?

Oh. I dunno to be honest. They looked humanoid, but they wore these real long brown robes and kept their faces and their hands covered. Sounded human. Spoke Common so I thought'n they was human. Some eccentric types, ya know, we get em sometime. And they had plenty of gold so I didn't even bother questioning it further.

Were they looking for anything in particular when they passed through? One eyebrow was rising as she spoke, Milah's mind working overtime now trying to find as many links and connections as possible. Or do you think it was just a coincidence they went into the woods shortly after?

Mmmm, no. Not that I recall. They were lookin to talk to some nature spirits. Spent loads of time out in the forest. Didn’t see em after that.

Is anybody else getting the feeling that all the fauna and flora are a little off? Those wolves had some weird like fungi growing out of them. Maybe those nature guys got their spell all backwards. Might need to call a pyromancer in haha.
