About
Rellan isn’t a complicated character. This is intentional, as Yuriko believes she spends enough time in real life overthinking things that should be really simple, but her brain refuses to process information in a ‘healthy manner’, as her doctor put it, so she obsesses over small things. Despite having a relatively normal upbringing Yuriko finds herself unhappy in just about all manners of her life. This line of thinking has forced her to be
very logical as Yuriko approached most manners in her everyday life in an almost clinical, cynical fashion. She isn’t robotic so much as sullen, though she doesn’t like showing it in front of other people.
Yuriko decided to remedy her ‘real life blues’ with virtual and online games when she tried one out when she was around thirteen and found how much she enjoyed it. She felt home in there, away from the constraints and continually restricting freedom of her real life. She also found to be very good at them and, more importantly, she was actually having
fun. Upon her decision to head into Terrasphere Yuriko decided she would do anything she could to be the very opposite of her real life counterpart, and is working towards changing the very base of her personality to be that of Rellan Shard.
