Personality
Fiora isn't the kind of person you'd expect to play an MMO, especially not one that causes harm. She's admired by her peers, found attractive by men, and has a large amount of friends. She's well-off and has good education and a good future. She acts confident and outgoing, willing to be friends with anyone and help them. She's always a ray of sunshine in conversations, and avoids negative topics like the plague. Her friends even jokingly call her a Mary Sue, something she takes as a compliment.
But that would just seem a little too perfect. When everyone's gone and nobody's looking Fiora Grants, the perfect young girl, is actually a sadist. While the word sadistic is thrown around a lot, Fiora finds she fits it just a bit too well for a joke. She enjoys seeing others in despair, and watches any kind of media involving serious emotional harm. Though she'd never enjoy something as grim as suicide, she almost gets a sick pleasure from humiliation and bullying. She's extremely ashamed over her outbursts of sadism, so makes up for it by over-working herself to be perfect in everyone's eyes. She puts on makeup, always acts cutesy, works waitress jobs, bakes for others. She keeps telling herself if she does these things it'll all be okay. But she'll always double back and spiral back down.
Fiora's high understanding of human beings causes her to manipulate others into liking her more, even if she doesn't feel good about doing it. She's willing to lie her way through life to get others to like her, and thinks it's okay to unhealthily wear her heart on her sleeve while also reveling in fictional despair. She fears she may do things to real people, and even finds herself fantasizing about close friends and what they'd be like in true despair.
Fiora has a fantasy of all of her problems being cured by a one true love, and often seeks romance with strangers over the internet. She's commonly studies or watches TV when she's alone, trying to avoid her dark urges. Fiora is especially good at baking, a hobby she partakes in to appeal to others. She also has a knack for writing poems, something she does often to vent her troubles without making it obvious what. She loves writing in general, but doesn't share her work, whether it be due to a modest want to keep it a hobby or an egotistical cry for attention she doesn't know herself.
Positive: Hardworking, Intelligent, Romantic
Negative: Sadistic, Manipulative, Lying
Biography
Only a year after Fiora was born her parents gave her up to live in a foster home. She doesn't remember either of them, and it's not really important the kind of people they are. They simply weren't able to raise a child. So being raised in a foster home required Fiora to be somewhat of a big sister to everyone, even if she was the same age. Her foster parents were pretty old people, and required a lot of help with the things they did, and Fiora took it upon herself as soon as she could to help. She didn't really know why, she just helped to help. She wasn't the only one helping by any means, there were many volunteers and other kids her age or older that would help, yet she still felt like she wanted everyone to depend on her.
Around her 13th birthday her foster father passed away due to natural causes and caused a lot of grief throughout the home. He was a kindhearted man that wore his heart on his sleeve and put everyone he met before himself. his death was painful for everyone, even Fiora. She watched the despair spread through the home she lived in and fill all the people around her. She couldn't stop smiling as she watched, and she didn't know why.
As she grew up and graduated her school she was able to leave her foster home and stay at her college's dorms. But the event still haunted her. Even while she tried to be the best person she could be on the outside, her desires for the feeling she had before kept coming up. She'd felt it before when helping others get through hard times, but nothing like what she had before. She used the internet to get the same feeling, but nothing could replace real humans in true despair. Finally she got an email to try out a new MMO. Cerise was never a gamer, but something so realistic it could be like a second world for her. A place she could see others in despair and never be found out. How could she resist?
