Team Approach: Norfova Side of the Border
    ---

A few hours later into their journey through the grassy plains of Brisshal, the party of four met various fellow Players and NPCs along the way. Rumors of the murderous group had spread everywhere as bad news travel fast, virtual reality or no. From what was gathered so far, most of the clues seemed to point towards the direction of Norfova, a mountainous region West of Brisshal which was tainted by foul blood magic. Of course, the killers picked such an ominous location, the dangerous area would hinder search efforts. This also implied they were strong enough to fend off the various monsters and horrors roaming about.

"Uhm..." Aria gulped, really not liking the logs of information displayed on her player menu, enough to make her consider just calling the quest off. "No, you coward! Have some spine, damn it!" Nevertheless, she had to share with her companions. "So, guys, real quick. The killers and yes, plural, call themselves the... 'Convicted Saviors'." Oh wow, really? They couldn't pick a less 'look at me I'm good but misunderstood' name. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites, "They likely set up camp around West of this region, in uh..." She shuddered, "Norfova." She was a newbie, newbies shouldn't be going into a region clearly designed for veterans.

"We can take the route around the Brisshal side of the border which will take longer but much safer." The Felis paused, "Oooor... we can feel suicidal and take the Norfova side of the border which is shorter but uh... you know, monsters and... who knows what else is there." She chuckled awkwardly, "Not saying I'm telling you all to pick Brisshal but uhm... I'd highly recommend we focus our energy on the killers, yes? Don't waste them on monsters. Monsters that might be even more dangerous than our targets." Aria gulped as she looked over her companions, hopefully, they had some sense of self-preservation.

  2. Strong rains pounded heavily against the roof of the inn the party was within, a violent drumming that never ceased. This wasn’t anything nearly as comfortable as gentle rain during a kind night. The windows, shuttered against harsh winds, rattled in their frames, while a cold, damp draft escaped into the inn despite the best efforts of the innkeeper. The weather outside most definitely wasn’t pleasant, and Cain was simply grateful that they all made it to the village before the storm had really taken a turn for the worse. Seated on a circular table, the group of adventurer-investigators shared what they had learned from their investigations and from talking with others. Despite being an elusive murderer, rumors were still abound, and the one that was the most consistent amongst all that they have heard and gathered from other new players and the patrons of the inn they were at pointed towards the Convicted Saviors. A faction of murderers within the mountainous depths of Norfova. Blood magic had corrupted both the landscape and the beasts within it, turning into a hostile environment perfect for villains to hide out in.

“Your caution is rational, Lady Aria,” Cain acquiesced while cradling a mug of warm soup, “Under normal conditions, I’d be inclined to agree with your intelligent judgement. However, rumors are not something privy only to the ears of those in the background. These Convicted Saviors, this heartless band of criminals will no doubt be similarly aware of the rumors circulating one of their members. If their camp had a chance of being attacked by those on the side of justice, then would it not make sense for them to quickly relocate?”

A pause. Part of Cain knew that he was just pushing towards the more dangerous situation because it was more exciting and he would be travelling to a place he had never been to before, but the midnight-haired muse still found himself capable of agreeing with his own rationality here. Solaria of the Solar Saber was their leader, after all, and with the rest of them supporting her, this ragtag group of adventurers would definitely be able to make it through Norfova. Especially with these conditions.

“Time is of an essence, and we must act immediately, now that we have such information. Travelling on foot, the path through Norfova would definitely be the fastest, and though there will be monsters in our paths, please, recall this: even though we call them ‘monsters’ they are ‘animals’ as well. These craven beasts will hide from this horrid weather as we have, while the continuous downpour will also serve to mask our scent, hide our forms, and deafen our steps. If we travel with the storm and the night as our guardians, the cursed land of Norfova may be lacking in as much danger as it usually is.” Cain’s eyes met Aria’s, placing his hand comfortingly on her’s. “But if you fear these monsters regardless, Lady Aria, then there is no shame in abandoning this quest. The first concern is our own safety, after all.”

  3. "Aria makes a good point," Solaria mused, sitting with a finger at her lips. She tapped her lips gently a multitude of times as she thought it over. Sure, there was their own safety to worry about, and wasting energy was never a good idea, but like she'd also said...They had to focus on these 'Convicted Saviors'.

She listened to Cain's point of view. Like her, he seemed to be much more intent on speedily getting there to take on the problem at hand. Seeing what the main concerns were, the elf smiled, ears twitching as she beamed. "I think we should take the faster route rather than the safer route. While I'm not inclined to let people get harmed alongside me, the longer we take to get there the longer they have to get up and move their locale. We can't assume they don't know we're coming."

She leaned herself back against her chair, staring up to the ceiling and listening to the pitter patter above. The rain was like a lullaby, soothing her soul and helping her relax even in the stress of this dilemma. But healing was her job! She had to be sure to remember that.

"I wouldn't worry too much about our stamina, guys. If we take a small while longer- even just half an hour- I can whip up some energy drinks. I took both illumancy and alchemy for a reason, after all. If we keep enough medicine with us, even if I seem low on power to heal your wounds at a moment, I'll still be able to tend to your needs...And we can even make some poison to help add to our blades if a fight comes up!"

  4. Remembering his current power level of his character, he felt a safer route would be possible to prevent any casualties. But as he heard the others' suggestions on taking a route to Norfova, his eyes widened at their decision. Sure, it was the fastest route, but it's very hazardous to any newcomer to Terrasphere.

However, thinking logically from what @Aria, @Cain Darlite, and @Solaria's explanation, he knew there was no time to take the safe route to the Convicted Saviors and that the criminals will leave the hideout as soon they arrived there. Also, Solaria's mentioned Illumancy and Alchemy might be very helpful in the long run. Besides, being a mage meant that he has a low defense in exchange for high magic offense. So if he relied on her healing magic and potions he would be fine.

"With my current level right now, I would choose the safer Brisshal path. But if what Cain said is true, then I might go along with your plans with Norfova. But if we finalize this decision, then I prefer to stay at the back and use my ranged Arcanamancy magic to prevent any damage if we can agree on Norfova. That way, I won't be a burden to all of you in case we encounter a strong monster. Also, if I'm too close from a monster, I can use my Flickered Step spell. It's just a short distance teleportation spell, but it will help me out on some distance."

Most of his plans for the Norfova path are just suggestions. He can't expect them to work, but it was just the logical way to survive that path without putting a burden on himself and his party.

  5. Aaaah... bollocks, she knew it, there was no way @Cain Darlite would choose anything but the most 'exciting' solution, delving into no man's land with naught but bravery and determination. Sure this was a game, a virtual reality, everything here was mere fabrications fed into the players' brains. However, the pain, the terror, everything felt so utterly real, Aria wouldn't wish to deliberately thrust them upon herself. For all she liked about Cain, there was bound to be one or two clashing ideals and right now, she had just found one of them. Sigh, no one was perfect obviously.

"Nnngh..." The Felis hunched forward, her feline ears drooping as her torso and chin made contact with the wooden table the party were gathered upon. "Intelligent..." More like common sense, he was just flattering her now. What he said made sense, the killers weren't idiots and if they took too long, they'd already be gone by the time the party got there. Still, that was assuming they'd get there in the first place and not devoured by monsters along the way.

"Uuugh..." Aria wasn't in the mood for his suave talk, "Or they'd get us in the darkness..." She believed there were beasts out there specifically evolved to hunt in the darkness and rain, this was a fantasy land, anything could happen. "Eh?" Interestingly enough, what managed to flick her switch wasn't his logical arguments. "What did you say? Telling me to give up?" Aria raised back up, green eyes narrowing in offense as she flicked his hand away, "I'm not a coward, Cain." She pursed her lips, traces of doubt in her gaze, she didn't truly believe her own words but pushed through in the end, "I'm in, wherever we are going."

@Solaria 's agreement with the Muse further chipped away at her doubts, if the two most skilled members of the party were insistent on going there then so be it. "Haa... alright." The green-haired girl chuckled lightly, "That's cool, Solar, it looks like I'll be taking a lot of those potions. Well, just keep me from dying, please." Poison, huh? Neat. "Hmm... so I can be like one of those ancient tribesmen, dip my arrows in venom? Nice." At least she had something to look forward to, "Just teach me how to apply it later."

The arcanamancer @Jace Vale was in agreement with her, the Brisshal path would make sense considering their level but then, he too acquiesced to Cain's arguments. Either he made more sense or was incredibly charismatic, probably both. Well, she had to agree with Jace there, Aria was no frontline fighter either, her mastery certainly didn't warrant that type of play. "I'm with you there, Jace, we'll just stay and shoot things." Solar was the most capable fighter here anyway, no need to throw away her life needlessly (and save herself from some agonizing pain while she's at it).

"So... when do we depart? Please don't tell me it's right away... " She gave a worried glance at Cain, "It is, isn't it?"

  6. “Yeah, it is,” Cain replied, glad that Aria was so quick on the uptake. Rising up from his seat and downing the rest of his milk, the muse pulled his leather rain cloak from his inventory, before wrapping himself in it. Pinning it together with a brooch, the muse carefully tied his long hair into a loose bun, not particularly looking forward to untying it afterwards. With his own preparations set, the midnight-haired muse tucked his bangs behind his ears and pulled his hood over his head. The sound of heavy rain was rounded off by the thick, cured fabric, and for a moment, he was happy with that artificial tranquility.

    It wasn’t going to last.

“Alright, ladies, gentlemen,” Cain said dramatically, striking a pose with his finger jabbed towards the exit of the inn, “Onwards ho!”

The other, normal patrons within the bar looked at the tall wanderer, wondering whether the others were just as insane as he was.

    As expected, rain was wet.

It pounded, it stabbed, it blasted, it poured. It was as if someone had an idea of manifesting a waterfall over everyone’s heads, a steady stream of water blasting into them. Vertically when the wind calmed and more or less horizontally when the wind raged. Pushed and pulled in all directions by the capricious gale, the group of adventurers were continuously battered and beaten by the terrible weather. In Norfova, where the winds were naturally funneled into the mountains’ valleys and riverbeds, the storm only became more potent. Lightning arced through the sky, blue radiance scarring the sheer cliff faces, before the rumbling thunder caused one’s very organs to vibrate.

Uninhabitable and now dangerous, Cain lead the group up a steep goat trail, body pressed against the stone face as streams of water, during the path muddy and treacherous, flowed off the side, into a rocky ravine that fell into darkness. Magical light illuminated the path, but travelling was harsh regardless of whether or not they could clearly see the area around them. Gravel tumbled down from ahead, scattering harmlessly on the thick leather cloak that he wore, but the fear that it inspired was still there. What would happen if there was a rock slide? It would be…

Cain stopped, letting out a shaky breathe that turned white in the cold rain.

Before him was an even steeper incline, large, rain-slick stone jutting out of the side as if to convince them that the twenty foot climb was possible. The muse breathed into his hands, rubbing them together to get some life into them. Alright. Another day, another heart-pounding adventure.

“Looks like this will be a rough one,”
Cain shouted over the unending downpour. “Think I can manage, but does anyone else want help heading up?”

  7. Even Solaria wasn't as apt to rush in that quickly- she'd wanted to make some more potions first, but she at least had some, and she could probably make a few more while they took their shortcut to the enemy. She'd listened carefully to each person's notes about the order they'd go in for safety, and tried to take it all into account.

"I'm technically a healer, but since I can use my sword as well, I'll be closer to the front I guess? Just don't get too far away from me, you two. Otherwise healing you might be a bit difficult. Plus, safety in numbers."

    --

That the rain was still falling on them surprised her- she hadn't seen rain that often in the game yet, and to be honest, it just reminded her of how much she wished the weather were like this on that volcano and not on the road to Norfova.

To the elf's surprise, the musician in the group had opted to take the lead despite them having once told her 'she was the party leader'- but there was nothing bad about being second in line, where she was closer to both the front lines and those behind that might need her help with their health.

The incline that came down (or rather, up) the road surely surprised her, but she felt fairly confident in her ability to move about. "I should be okay to help people climb too. My movement skill is only trained a bit, but as long as I keep an eye on my footing, I should be-" Before she could finish her confident remark, she slipped from a rather slick rock, surprised as she found herself on her butt in moments.

"Okay...Maybe I'm not as okay as I thought I was with it. This rain is really getting to be a pain..." She laughed nervously, although she groaned as she stood back up, dusting herself off. "Er, let's maybe I'll ask for a hand...Though you only have two, and I don't know if all three of us will need one. This might take more than we anticipated...But we can't let the terrain slow us down too much, either!"

  8. Taking a quest in rain was not an ideal time for him. With the slippery rocks, mud, and the wind around them, he felt that the virtual reality version of mother nature can be a real hazard than the monsters. It didn't help that Norfova's barren and lifeless terrain lessen the mood around him.

Upon he sees the steeper incline stone that is blocking their way, Jace can agree on how difficult on climbing the stone due to the weather condition makes the rocks jutting out of it are too slippery for them to grip onto the surface of it. He would try his teleportation spell to get to the top, but from what he can remember of the skill description, it will only reach him at the mid-way point of the stone, which can cause him to slip back down to the ground. He can even tell upon seeing @Solaria slipping during her attempt to climb the wet stone.

"Considering that I'm starting to regret my choice of magic mastery, maybe I do need help about it," he said to @Cain Darlite's offer as he sheathed his staff on his back and started to climb up while he looked at his own climbing for safety. But as he did, he almost lost his footing from the slippery rock before he recovered as he gripped the rocks tightly. "J-Just so you know, I'm not a very good climber."

    OOC: @Aria

  9. Wet, dark, misery. As if the region they were heading wasn't dangerous enough, the oh-so-wise @Cain Darlite decided to travel under the pour of heavy rain. Aria didn't like rain in real-life, she certainly won't change her sentiment even if this was all 'virtual', all the discomfort certainly felt real enough to make her groan. "Ho..." She gave an unenthusiastic fist pump, like when her college friends decided that partying right before an important exam was a good idea. Ugh, come on, could she qui-... no, she would never live it down and besides, it'd only be a matter of time before those PKers came for her anyway, it was either her or them.

Their 'fantastic' journey took them though jaggy rocky terrain and never had Aria felt so thankful that she chose an agile Felis as her character race, even without any points in any mobility-related masteries yet, she could traverse the rough terrain better than everyone in the party except @Solaria . "I'm good." Aria shrugged at the Muse, he should help @Jace Vale instead.

Aria was already working on climbing the rocks as best as she could, taking lessons from previous experiences. "Damn... guh...!" She almost slipped but persevered though but not without grumbling and cursing under her breath, using slangs that might not even be 'thematically correct' with the Fantasy nature of the game. Screw that, she wasn't in the mood to 'roleplay' right now.

After a great amount of effort, scraps, and near-deaths later, Aria arrived at the top. "Hah..." She wiped her forehead, a gesture made useless due to the pouring rain then amidst it all, she heard rustles from the darkness around her. What the fuck was it now? Anxiously swishing her feline ears, Aria made full use of her Felis senses and Investigation Mode to spot any suspicious movements. "..." Nothing... but she did not like it one bit. She debated on pulling out her bow and quiver from her digital inventory but she still had to traverse this treacherous terrain and she needed all of her limbs lest she fell to her death. Gah, damn it... if this whole thing led to her death, Cain was sooooo much at fault.

  10. While Aria’s feline grace propelled her up the slippery incline with minimal problems, the others had their own share of troubles going up. Difficult at best, the wind and rain only multiplied the amount of danger they were in as they slowly made their way up that twenty-foot climb. There were many thick, sturdy rocks to rest upon, but it was still miserably cold, clinging onto wet stone with your bare hands. By the half-way point, Cain’s fingers had become numb from the extreme elements, and he closed his eyes, feeling that spark of energy once more.

Magic was fair, right? He should totally be allowed to creatively solve problems instead of just rely on brute strength and grit.

With a flash of purple light, Cain shifted ten feet upwards, landing on the edge of the wall. With his arms furiously windmilling, the muse managed to avoid falling backwards, before turning to Solaria and Jace who were still climbing down below. Pulling out a length of rope, the muse dangled it downwards, holding onto it while laying down on the ground. Though there was the possibility of him being dragged off the edge by the mass of others, he was fairly certain that they weren’t THAT heavy. “Hurry up and climb up,” the man called down, thankful that his cloak warded off most of the dampness pervading the ground, “Don’t wanna be lying down here forever!”

Whether they used his little rope trick or not, soon, the party was once again together on top, the path plateauing now. Futilely shaking off the mud and gravel that clung to his clothes, Cain rolled up his rope and threw it into the inventory once more, glad that none of them had to carry their own gear on their backs for this excursion. If they were weighed down with packs, this entire trip would have been an even greater hell than what it already was. A flask of lukewarm tea was chugged down, and the midnight-haired muse turned to Aria. Blind to the tension that was building up and too occupied to notice the shadows that continued to shift in the corners of his eyes, the muse said, “Alright, let’s get going, shall we? Looks like there’s a cave down the path too. Anyone down for a break from the weather?”

  11. No longer fighting to regain balance had taken more energy than the elf expected. She'd put a good amount, or so she thought, into her movement skills- so why was it everyone else had such an easier time dealing with the slippery rocks overall? Well, it wasn't like anyone had a really easy time- but she'd been the first to fall, embarrassingly.

Wait, what was there to be embarrassed about? They had much more pressing matters to attend to!

She hadn't quite noticed the shadows either, but her hair was a bit stuck to her face at this point, so she opted to blame the rain for her lack of visual stimuli. Squinting to see the cavern Cain had noted, she let off a somewhat goofy grin, hand soaring into the air to raise itself in reaction.

"I'm in! We should get dry before we catch colds, and considering we took a bit of a more dangerous route as is, the last thing we need is to let the rain help harm us further. We don't know what the rest of the terrain will be like, so letting it dry up a bit is probably a good idea. Plus...I can't see past my hair sticking to me. Anyone know some magic to get it out of my eyes more?"

Solaria had been the one to rush them just as much as Cain had, but she knew well that if they worked too hard too quickly, it would be bad for their health. "I know I wanted to get there as fast as possible...But it'll be equally pointless if we die before we get there from not watching our own health. Let's regroup in the cave, warm up, and start planning our attack out a bit more. Sound like a plan?"

  12. It was official: Jace was never an athletic-type of guy. However, with @Aria's help, he managed to climb up through the rock with only a few minor slips and trips from the slippery jagged rocks he held on. While it might be difficult for him to climb with his staff on his back, he has fewer worries about it due to not only the mentioned help but also his carefully placed footing on the rocks. He didn't have any climbing experiences, but at least he studied how to prevent an accidental fall back then.

Eventually, he sighed in relief once he reached the top. Unfortunately, he felt very wet due to the downpour around the bleak area. It didn't help that since his armor was basically made of cloth, most of it are now very wet. Although despite wanted to help @Solaria, he frowned at her out of guilt. "I doubt I don't have any magic to get rid of it. But you can borrow my handkerchief if you like."

He even gave the blue handkerchief (which he bought it as a way to dry himself from the heat or rain) to the Yladian before he also joined in the discussion with her and @Cain Darlite. "I second with Solaria's plan. Since I doubt some of us have Aeromancy or Pyromancy magic to warm us up very quickly, regrouping in a cave might be the best way for us to take a breather." He was a little relieved about the last part. Because he was also worried that they might make it worst due to Pyromancy's destructive abilities and Aeromancy just strengthens the rain when it fell into the hands of a newcomer.

  13. "Woah?! The fu-...?" Why was Cain suddenly there?! Aria was pretty sure he was behind her as he climbed slower than her, but... he was there, in the flesh! The Muse had somehow finished the climb at the same time, if not slightly faster, than herself. Just... how?! What magic was tha-... oh, right, Jace said something about a 'teleportation' spell earlier. Maybe that's what Cain did, like a magician, one moment he was there and in an instant later, he was over there. Intriguing, she should look into that in the future, would make climbing trees real easy. Right now, however, they needed to get through this damned jaggy terrain in this damned heavy rain!

"Haa..." Seeing that Cain was busy helping Solaria and Jace to catch up, the Felis Ranger decided to take out her bow and quiver then assumed overwatch duty. Her feline eyes had night vision but the pouring rain made it rather mute. However, she swore she saw something moving just now or was it just her mind going bonkers from all the rain? Let's hope it was the latter. Seriously though, were they really going to continue like this? Aside from lurking monsters, those Killers would just pick them off in the darkness. They must find shelter and continue the journey later.

"Yes!" Praise be Solaria! A cave was better than nothing, her logical deductions were met with no qualms from both Jace and Aria, screw whatever Cain think, majority wins. "I uh... I think I saw a cave somewhere over there..." The green-haired Felis squinted, yep, looks like one, not that far away. She wasn't sure herself but they had no choice really.

    ---

Moments later, Aria's little gamble bore fruit as the party entered a medium-sized cave, sheltered from the ceaseless rain. "Ha...choo...!" The Felis sneezed, holding her nose, then again and again. This game had a 'cold' debuff?! Well thank you, overly meticulous programmers. "R-right... ha... someone get a fire going, I'll uh... I'll keep watch." If they could catch a cold, she didn't want to find out whether the designers were cruel enough to put in 'Pneumonia' and 'Hypothermia' debuffs as well.

Holding her bow and keeping an alert watch, her eyes and feline ears swiveling here and there as the party worked on setting up a makeshift camp. Two fingers up her temple, green irises lighting up in Investigation Mode. The Felis detected nothing. Oh good, so those 'movements' earlier were just her being paranoid...

...at least until she saw glowing red fireflies from the dark corners around her.

"Oh..." No, those were not fireflies, they were eyes, blood-colored eyes of a mutated predator. "Blood Hounds. Monsters." as her Hunting-enhanced Investigation Mode-Vision reported in her UI...

    "Guys!! Blood Hounds!!"

    *WOOF!!!*

Fuck, they should have stayed in that inn...

    @Cain Darlite @Solaria @Jace Vale

  14. “Who needs magic when you can just tie it up in a ponytail?” Cain answered Solaria, chuckling even in the shitty weather and dangerous terrain. Maybe Solaria was his reverse then, a guy who played a girl and had no idea how to deal with long hair outside of letting it hang around awkwardly…but hey! No judgment! Under this foul weather, uniting for the same cause, they were all just friendly comrades, after all. With things more or less settled, and a definite need to at least warm up their bones after the harrowing climb, Cain lead the group down the path and into the cave.

Within the drafty, but waterproof shelter, the muse removed his drenched, leather cloak, shaking droplets of water off it, before taking his shirt off next, wringing it until drops of rainwater were squeezed out. It would have been nice if even one of them had a form of magic that enabled the usage of flames, but at least Solaria’s Illumancy could provide a form of flame. In such desolate terrain, after all, though the group of adventurers had a hoard of fire-starting kits, there wasn’t a single piece of wood nearby that hadn’t been thoroughly soaked. Ultimately, Cain had to settle for trying to draw the water out of his clothes while doing a couple stretches to warm up his half-naked body. With no long-lasting fire, and only painfully hard and miserably cold travel rations for food, there wasn’t much need for them to stay around for too long.

The brevity of their stay, perhaps, would have been a good thing, if not for the fact that the party hadn’t left in time. When Cain’s eyes caught the intense amount of animal refuse present within the den, as well as many tufts of fur and the stark bones scattered on the cold, rock floor, Aria had already noticed the original owners of the cave had come back.

No, not a ‘cave’, but a ‘den’ instead.

Lightning cracked, electric light revealing the massive, grotesque forms of the mutated beasts that emerged to claim the entrance of the den as their own, as if intending on using their bodies to trap the adventurers inside. Thrice the size of the average Brisshal wolf, the Blood Hounds snarled, saliva seeping through their wickedly barbed teeth as they paced about the entrance, eyes like fire. Their savage hunger, pronounced by how their bones stuck out from their bodies, only heightened their strength, and in the shadows of the five Blood Hounds were smaller, rounder imitations of the adults. Puppies. Their eyes not quite as red. Their teeth not quite as long.

Monsters befitting of the crude wasteland of Norfova, huh? Cain bared his teeth as well, pulling his flagpole out of the ether, the silver radiance of the magical instrument briefly illuminating the dark space as it pixelated into existence. A deep breath. The Royal Fiend Knight wasn't here.

    Calm yourself.

“We’re not fighting this,” he said, “Solaria, lead the charge out. Aria, Jace, stick close to her. I’ll cover the back. Three seconds to prepare.”

An aria easily slipped out of his mouth, the Song of the Cross echoing through the cave, punctuated by lightning crackling and thunder booming. The bodies of his allies lightened, their heartbeat quickening as their bodies became faster.

But that magic alone was what caused the first Blood Hound to launch forwards, feinting towards Solaria before twisting on a dime and propelling itself towards Jace instead.

  15. As @Cain Darlite mentioned the option of a ponytail, Solaria giggled. His hair wasn't too long to her, but then again, it was possible he had a different style in the real world. And, even if he didn't, there were things more common in some places than others. "I'd need a hairtie. This headband isn't the kind I can use as a makeshift one for that, unfortunately."

Though she'd slightly been regretting her style of choice, having not foreseen that the real world problems of long hair would affect her in a game, there were far more problems than just the green locks clinging to her skin. The closer they'd gotten to their salvation, the farther they got from safety.

"Murphy's law at it's finest, my friends!" Her joke held malice, like poison on her tongue. The red eyes that gazed at them were worrying. What they needed was rest, not more damage to their health!

With a swift and sturdy nod towards Cain for his plan, Solaria turned to look towards @Jace Vale and @Aria with stern solemnity. "Let's hurry out of here. Cain, don't get too far behind us!" Staring straight ahead of her, she dashed out of the area, trying to make sure every so often that the two Cain had put emphasis on, while also keeping an eye out for the muse.

Taking a breather when she thought they at least had a good distance between them and the enemy for a moment, she felt the fatigue getting to her. "How far do you think they'll chase us?"
