The heat of the day was sweltering lying on the body like a blanket, inescapable and almost unendurable. The sweat is pouring off his body in small trickles on to the ground beneath it. Heat and discomfort, however, were some things that could be ignored with the proper focus. It was that focus that he was trying to attain he had only started training in this forest a few days ago. There was progress he was able to walk a bit quieter than when he had begun, but he was still a far way off. Every other step of so a rabbit would run from out a bush because he disturbed the leaves. He wasn’t nearly quiet enough, but he could hear something. A thumping that seemed to be echoing throughout the area in almost a pattern. Whatever it was, however, it bore investigating for if nothing else just to identify the sound.
Working his way towards the doing his best to muffle the sound of his footsteps keeping his body low to the ground. Moving half in the shadows of the trees both to avoid the sun and to lower his visibility it wasn’t his best, but he was getting closer to the source of the sound. Now he could tell that there was a pattern that seemed to be repeating itself over and over, with only the faintest pauses in each set. The sound was leading him to a cleaning; it appeared that it was human-made the forest just kind of stop at that area.
In the center was a girl with what seems to be a spear attacking a dummy with both precision and speed. She was handling such a large weapon with practiced ease. The fury that was unleashed upon the dummy was a surprise considering that it came from such a small frame. Watching her entire routine from the edge of the clearing avoiding a little of the heat in the shade of a large oak. He would have been content just to watch until he sees her fall into the ground. Running over to where she seemed to have fallen over stopping just a few feet away.
“You seemed to have over worked your body but that was an excellent display. But I wouldn’t suggest you do that in a fight until you build up your endurance or muscles, however.”
