GENERAL SKILLS

You Gotta be kidding me

(Self-Buff) Destiny curses her poor fortune while torn between doing the right thing and the smart one. This involves a lot of muttering and shouting at herself in an attempt at self-motivation. Incantations: Goddamnit, Dammit, Damn, Christ, Hell No, Heck, Fool, Crap.

Run Like Hell

(Mobility) Channeling the spirit of her ninja faceclaim, Destiny courageously bolts from the scene and sprints away from whichever monster or forest animal triggered this ability. She can't help if you lack her sense of self-preservation and fail to do the same, dammit!

Hajimikise Berry

(Consumable) A bright red, phallic berry, the size of a small child's palm. Consuming it and failing to resist its effects will make one fall madly in love with the first person they lay their eyes upon after consumption. *Obtained from the Inverted Spire. Stored here.

 

HUNTING

Inquisitive Eyes

(Utility, Perception) A constant pain in Destiny's retina. Increasing her awareness of the world around her, sensors constantly track and alert her to unusual sounds, movements, and other activity. Passive markers are simple plus-signs (+) unless Investigation Mode is triggered to add labels or additional captions.

Track Record

(Stealth, Mobility) At base level, Destiny can use her Investigation Mode to enhance and identify visible footprints of any people, animals, or monsters she has encountered before. While following a trail, Destiny can conceal her presence to a certain degree by using the environment around her.

Net Loss

(Range, Utility) Composed of fishing netting balled around crossbow bolts, this trap is rigged to fire a net into the air, falling and entangling anything below it. It only works because the net itself is so damn big it doesn't matter how far her aim is off. Since she crafted this one, Destiny is able to detect and dismantle similar traps.

Soft Spot

(Range, Buff) Destiny's Investigation Mode identifies and targets any weak points in enemies that might have been previously revealed to her from similar encounters. Of course, she has to make the actual shot on her own, but sharing this information with other players when this ability is triggered can be a valuable support action.

 

BEAST TAMING

(Utility) Destiny shouts at an animal in an attempt to get it to do something she wants. The animal will understand her directions and respond by doing whatever it was going to do anyway. Sometimes, if their interests coincide, miracles happen! At its present level, this ability only works on non-aggressive animals, not monsters.

Peggy

(Pet, Harmonic Magic) A one-legged blackbird who is probably the closest thing Destiny has to an actual animal companion. Peggy is a resilient songbird who constantly seems to be in the way of Destiny's arrows. He responds well to whistles and can mimic simple note-patterns, extending the range of Destiny's sonic spells.

Special Delivery

(Pet, Utility) For having only one leg and limited brainpower, Peggy is surprisingly strong and able to carry messages, items, and even spare ammunition back to Destiny. Des never trained him to do any of this, she thinks he's just trying to build a nest on her with random things that catch his eye.

(Support, Summon) Uttering the hallowed True Name of her most powerful beast companion and unofficial boyfriend, Destiny summons @Philadelphia, the King of Eagles (assuming he's close enough to actually hear her shouting for help.)

 

RANGE

Hand Crossbow

(1H Weapon) Kept loaded and mounted on her forearm, this small, light crossbow is the perfect weapon for quick-draws or light combat. Destiny uses it ambidextrously and stocks the bolts separately from her main arrow quiver. Currently saving up to buy a second one for the other arm, but what's the hurry?

Black Chitin Longbow

(2H Weapon) Formed from the shiny black carapace of the giant ant which crawled out from beneath the Bandit King Erasmus's courtyard. This is otherwise a standard longbow, requiring time and range to line up an accurate shot as well as upper body strength just to draw. Destiny seldom has either.

Shoot and Run

(Standard, Careful) What did you expect? While moving, Destiny shoots her weapon repeatedly and hits the target somewhere nonlethal on its body, sacrificing accuracy for mobility. Heart, liver, gut—we try not to do gut-shots here, actually—it doesn't matter, just run already while it's distracted! Go go go!

Headshot

(Critical) The stars aligned and some critter or another actually kept its damn head still enough for Destiny to line up a perfect shot right through the eye. Turns out she had plenty of practice while fighting a certain beast, a snow-quilled guardian with five hollow sockets in its smooth red face...
