Personality
For most of his life, Eli has proven himself to be a natural at a lot of things, and for the few exceptions, tremendously lucky to cruise right through them. Because of this, Eli has never had any reason to doubt himself. This confidence has allowed him to stand on his own and take responsibility for his own actions, every decision that he has and will ever make.
Unfortunately, Eli is also more than perfectly capable of crossing the line between confidence and arrogance, putting all of his chips on himself and branding everything else as intellectually inferior. Emotional considerations in particular have always been illogical for Eli who tends to dismiss those who beat him with them as stuck in a baser mode of thought, regardless of actual intellectual merit. Along with his extremely critical, sometimes neurotic level of perfectionism, even the closest of friends often stay far from him, sometimes even permanently.
That makes it somewhat hard for him to get along with new people, especially those who value stability and safety over self-determination, and for any sort of romantic relationship to ever involve him. Not that Eli wants a romantic relationship. On the contrary, Eli prefers the world of ideas over the world of humans, and while he's terrible at social cues, he's pretty much the most intellectually receptive person you'll come across, especially when it comes to new ideas.
Positive: Confident, Independent, Open-minded
Negative: Arrogant, Judgmental, Overly Analytical
Biography
Eliodoro "Eli" Leone was born the eldest child and only son of a sea captain and a restaurateur. Because both of his parents spent more time with work than with him, Eli spent most of his childhood on his own. At first, he thought it was tragic, envious of his peers who all had their parents' attention 24/7 and furious at his own parents for putting money before him. As time passed by, however, Eli understood that his parents, both born out of poverty, were just doing what they thought were best for their family and that he didn't actually need anyone else but himself. All on his own, Eli proved himself to be more than capable of handling anything and everything life threw at him.
In time, however, Eli grew bored of life itself. He didn't want to stop living. He just became too complacent, too disinterested. Everything that he ever wanted to accomplished, he already has. Everything he ever wanted to experience, he already has. There was nothing left for him to do, nothing left for him to work for. That was, until he received an invitation from Terrasphere. To this day, Eli still has no idea who sent the invitation to him. His parents weren't that knowledgeable with this kind of technology and his sister was never a fan of these games. Whoever it was, they did Eli a huge favor, something he knows he can never pay back.
