  1. Magi Heart looked at the targets placed all around. They were varying size bulls eyes all over the plains. Wendy made a look of worry. A drop going down the side of her head as her pigtails seemed to droop a bit in unison. Oh boy... this quest will be kinda hard. She needed to practice how to use a bow a lot more, so when Magi Heart saw that a quest was up for practicing archery. The magical girl wannabe leaped at the chance! After seeing how she was doing in the very few battles she was a part of . It became obvious to the young player that she was a total noob at this game. Her mobile game experience was not translating well to this full dive stuff. So she made the choice anyone who wanted to get better would make! Practice, practice, practice! She took herself and her bow to this area to try her best!

Now though... it looked intimidating. She saw the instructor standing nearby. He had a clipboard in his hand and was taking notes. She really wished there was someone else in this quest to help. All the instructor did was say to shoot the targets with her bow and he would grade. That was not what she thought it would be. Could he have just given her some tips or something? Well, maybe cause archery was really just pulling a string and letting go? The tutorial systems in this game were not newbie friendly it seemed. Oh well! Wendy was still pumped to be a good magical girl and protect the weak while finding love by daylight! She would have to do this, yeah! Go Magi Heart! For world peace!

"Okay... here goes! For love and justice!"

Magi Heart raised her Love Bringer bow and placed in her first arrow. She had to hit each target with the amount of arrows she was given. There were twenty of them all over the field and she was not allowed to move from where she started. This was going to be hard. She was given a hundred arrows though so hopefully she could hit at least half of these things. Aiming as carefully as she could. She fired at the closest one. It was on even ground and the shot was accurate. Hitting just a bit off center. Yay! She made the first one. Now for the next. Magi Heart began to feel confident about this now... and ... missed. Crud buckets! Magi Heart Had to try again, and she hit another one! This one was a bit higher up but the same distance as the first target. Okay, two down many more to go!

Minutes would pass as the beginner archer/magical girl began her training. Arrows flew every which way. Then over into hours as she went from fat pulling to tired slow arrow shots. Hitting trees, the ground, a bird... sorry birdy! Maybe, maybe on occasion... she would hit targets. With each new one she missed more and more dramatically. Her short arm going behind her back faster and faster as she went through her given one hundred arrows. Her arms were getting really tired and her eyes hurt. This was slowly becoming less fun and more of a chore. Grinding sucks, like really sucks badly. How could rpg fans deal with this? It would feel good to get better though. So Magi Heart kept right on firing.

With one last tired pull of her arrow string. The last arrow was fired at target number nine. It missed. Sigh...........

    "Awww crud!"

The instructor shook his head and told her she had failed. She would need to retake the quest again in one month if she wanted a retry. No thanks mister! She was not sure she wanted to this again! It really sucked that she had failed though. Magi Heart tiredly logged off and would hide her VR equipment in the usual place before going to bed. Wowzers, it was like P.E. to play this game sometimes, but it sure was fun to be a magical girl in training!

  2. Wendy was kinda addicted to this game she realized as she logged back in. Materializing again where she left off in Brisshal. Her archery practice yesterday did not go so well for her. She really needed a lot more practice but maybe not the same kind. She did not want to get bored because grinding really was not all that fun. Magi Heart would practice some more just bit with the local wild life today. She tried to avoid shooting any cute things though! Only aiming for mean looking wolfies and stuff like that. Magi Heart would go into a small forested region not too far from a local village. Climbing a tree to get a good shot if anything appeared she would not feel bad about shooting... she had to keep reminding herself it was just a video game. They were kinda here to be shot at. Yep no worries!

The climb up the tree was tough but fun. Wendy used to love climbing in the jungle gyms! She was getting a bit old for that now but she missed it a lot! Grasping the tree bark she started to slowly make her way up until she reached a good branch for her to perch on. Balancing herself as she made her way along the large branch. Magi wobbled a little as she took her bow out of her inventory, making it appear in her hands. She knelt down and practiced what she imagined to be a cool hunters pose with it. Being a forest elf character would have been almost as cool as being a magical girl Wendy thought to herself as she aimed around the arrowhead at things.

Magic Heart caught sight of a fruit tree across the way. Ooooh.... apples? She was not sure what kind of fruit it was or why it was all alone in this forest, but it would be fun to try and shoot at the fruit! Magi Heart would start aiming and firing at the fruit over and over. As usual it did not really go very well. This time though. Wendy was not going to tire she promised herself. Shoot, shoot, shoot. Her arm moving quickly to and fro to grab arrows and they just flew through the air. She did hit some fruits as time passed and she laughed and shot a fist in the air in triumph.... unfortunately that made her lose her balance and she would fall from the tree with a yelp and hard thud in the grass. It hurt pretty bad.

Her health meter started blinking from taking significant damage from the fall. Her head was dizzy. Maybe she should have focused a bit better. Crud. She shook her head and cast a heal spell on herself to feel better. The energy made her feel ready for more though, so she would climb the tree and try some more! This would continue for some time into the afternoon... and yes, Magi did fall about three more times.

  3. "AHHHHHHHHH!"

Magi Heart was running. Yes she was running very, very fast. Her bow dropped from her hand as she jumped over branches and made her way around the trees of this forested region in Brisshal. Her breathing was heavy and sweat was dripping down her face. Behind her not too far away was the object of her terror.... a large and very angry boar. It was probably twice the girls size and it's entire body was a bright red, fueled by pure fury. It snorted and snarled as it busted it's way through the woods after the girl. It's eyes like little fires and a small plus on the right side of it's head.

"I'M SORRY MR BOAR! SERIOUSLY! NO MORE ARROWS! AHHHHHH""

Magi Heart had made a mistake. Really, it was just a tiny one! The boar got so mad so fast! It must have hurt but she did not expect it to not even get damaged! Magi Heart had been trying to learn to hunt with her bow. As always, avoiding the cute and innocent looking creatures. Instead aiming for the ugly big mean thingies. Unfortunately that led to her firing from a tree at this giant boar and... well... it really did not turn out all that well. Her shot was true and her arrow hit it in the back... before just bouncing right off. Magi had a very bad feeling when the animal stopped drinking the nearby pond water and looked up at her with it's beady little eyes. When Magi saw them squint and fire burn as it became a redish color. Her twin tails would go limp in realization that maybe... she did a bad thing here. The boar snorted and squealed as it charged the tree she was on. Slamming the trunk hard with it's head. The ensuing vibration would knock her off and then... the chase was on.

"Oh... gee whiz... what am I going... to do?"

The magical girl was not going to be defeated by a giant piggy was she? This was bad, really bad. She was itring out too. The boar refused to give up. Then Magi thought of something. It was a gamble but she had nothing to lose right now! She had magical light powers now right? So, why not try something? She felt sorry to do this to Mr. Boar though. She already hit him with a arrow... wait. She was being chased right now so probably best to just do. Yeah. Practicing magic was not something she did a lot, so hopefully this worked out.

Magi Heart would suddenly skid to a stop with the heels of her feet digging into the ground and waving her arms around for balance. She then spun around and tried to catch her breath as the boar charged ever closer. Okay time to try! She shot both hands forward and shouted!

    "White Clearance Light!"

The girl suddenly burst with light as if she was a living light bulb. Rays extending around her as she closed her own eyes to keep from going blind. The boar glared right at it and made a frightened squealing as it ran away blinded by the light. The brightness would fade from the girl as she leaned against a tree trunk and wiped her forehead with relief. Whew.... Wow that was pretty useful. Maybe she should come up with a better name though. White clearance light kinda sounded like she was working for walmart. The thought made the tired girl giggle as she sat down and generated a sandwich as her lunch for the day. Would this feed her the same as a sandwich in real life? Regardless it was very tasty!
