  1. It was a quiet night in Dragon's Hearth. Eyas was sitting there at a corner table, eyes flickering in the firelight, taking light sips of an ale. Vivian wasn't here, not at the moment. She couldn't help but feel like she was missing something without her here. Or... anybody. Really. She just wanted to get some good company and enjoy the night. But alas, nobody. At least, not at the moment.

Every time the door opened, her head snapped up, only to see it was somebody leaving or somebody that wasn't her love arriving. Eventually, she was halfway into the weak drink, and she decided something a little... punchier would make do. Of course that turned into something like whiskey, but hell she needed it anyways. Queue the worst tasting drink of her life. Not that it was bad or anything, but more so it was horribly overkill and that was entirely un-needed. Then again. Maybe some drink would make a night with Vivian feel better. Or at least more fun.

Then the door opened on up again. More people she didn't recognize, but screw it. She was here, busy getting shitfaced at a random pub in the middle of the town. Not her worst night.

  2. _____Another night Kaede would need to stay within the area of Astorea for the stubborn noble who failed to see the danger approaching. Kaede had no true proof of the threat to his lands, by the time she could get any solid evidence he would be dead along with most his people who like him did not listen to warnings of those who claimed to see the future. His dense mind going even further to accuse Kaede as someone trying to take his land while he ran from this ‘threat’. It was starting to look like another lost cause as Kaede lifted her hand ushering for another drink.

”I’m getting so tired of this stupid cycle repeating. Night after night I come here, and each time I get seven drinks and leave. It’s the same damn thing every FUCKING TIME!”

_____Kaede’s voice rose up from her table near the back. Mug slamming against the table as she tried to break the repeating loop she was stuck in. The future playing out in her eyes as it would keep doing so, up until the stubborn old bat was killed and his people the same fate for his refusal to listen to those who tried to warn him. As the waiter poured Kaede’s drink she simply mouthed a silent thank you and chugged down the liquid before slamming it down for another refill.

_____If she was going to be stuck here a couple of days anyways while trying to convince him the least she could do was enjoy her time here. Pouring back her drink Kaede sighed lightly and watched the world with fragmented vision. Countless routes the night could take, but none would surprise her. She could never be shocked while playing the game because her magic had a fucked up way of sparking up when she did not want it going. Hand waving as someone tripped over themself some distance away before pointing at another person as the got shoved against a wall. Same old tale, seen a thousand times already before it happen.

  3. Every once in awhile her eyes drifted towards Dragon’s hearth. Comet wasn’t a drinker by any means, but pubs were always interesting. She could escape in others misfortunes or gain information or enjoy a good times with a foolish group or two. As Violet friends often peer pressured her to socially drink. She knew more than enough the consequences of letting your mind succumb to the influence of alcohol. In-game - as a brave and confident Huntress - the pink-haired woman didn’t plan to follow the same lifestyle. She’d make good choices and remain better in comparison to anyone who dare compete. At a staggering, model-esque height naturally not a person in the room would attempt to lay a hand on Comet who felt appreciative of the admirable trait passed on to, seemingly, each and every member of the Palfrey family.

She allowed this bit of confidence in appearance to carry her into the pub. Her mind drifted to what those inside would think of her, what she should do, what- with a shake of the head these worries were temporarily cleared. A distraction would be needed in order to rid of them for the night. Yes, that’s all she needed. Company to serve as a diversion from penetrating ideas threatening to pierce her sensitive soul. Emerald eyes met sharp, expecting ones from across the room. They seem disappointed, and Comet decided that allowing another victim of life to ramble or seek solace in her or cry on a thin, bony shoulder if need be. Though the face stern all the while the pink-haired woman’s observant nature assumed otherwise. That feelings loomed beneath the surface. Why else would a decently attractive woman come to drink all alone, and whip her head up at the simple sound of a door swinging open? Putting two and two together she approached with a lazy grin, warm and welcoming and friendly. @Eyas Amari

“Mind if I join you? I mean I won’t drink but…" a loud voice from the back of the room had her pausing to turn and figure out who'd made such an aggravated sound. With a sigh she jerked a thumb back at the vocal woman (@Kaede Hoshi), still speaking to whom she'd gotten closer to, and suggested, "Or maybe we should head over there and give her company before the table breaks."

  4. By now, Eyas had a whole bottle of whiskey at her table that she was just drinking straight. Not really an alcoholic, just really needing to take some edge off things for a while, she blinked once or twice at Comet's approach. For a second, she'd thought Vivian had come and they might've had a nice night of drinking and screwing around. Instead, it was somebody more or less equally attractive, and for a few seconds the brawler was just tempted to say 'fuck it' and leave with her.

Then her attention was directed to a bang and an exasperated yell, and she locked onto Kaede. She'd... seen her before. Right? That uh. Lizard thing. She was decently strong, and not somebody she'd want to tangle with in a bad way. Maybe there was a GOOD way, but the drink was making her feel nice and fuzzy already, so she doubted that anything she did might've gone well. Unless these ladies liked half-drunk short girls who probably was going to say something stupid at any moment.

Casting a glance back to Comet, then to the bar, she paid for another bottle and stood up, a smile on her face as she pointed with her chin at the Yladian. "Migh' as well. Don' think nobody I'm lookin' for is comin'." Company was good. Company that wasn't going to get drunk with her and hype her up even more? Maybe even better. Who knew? Either way, they were gonna find out, and the brawler began her coordination-deprived walk on over to Kaede, putting the bottle down on the table and sliding it on over. "Min' if we join'ya?"

  5. _____The girl’s voice broke Kaede’s focus, her eyes closing as she moved to looked towards them before opening them slowly. The black orbs slowly pulling away to reveal her blue eyes and she sighed lightly waving a hand for them to sit down. She could not exactly tell them no, it was a public place, and she could use the company to keep her temper down and from using her magic to much. She abused it so much sometimes, and maybe this time around it would be wiser to think what route to go with the information she had and not try to test future routes.

”It is a public tavern. Besides I could use the distraction from working myself into the ground.”

_____Kaede’s voice was low as she held the bridge of her nose and sighed lightly. Looking up with a slightly forced smile that told she was already fairly close to burning herself out. A quick skim of her meters further told Kaede she was burning energy faster then she made first timers buckle. A light chuckle as the idea crossed her mind before she took a sip of her drink and set the mug down a bit further from the edge of the table so she could rest her head.

”So what brings two lovely woman to a tavern without someone to protect them, or with them at all?”

_____Kaede looked up with a faint smile, a small implication she was watching her surroundings enough to notice they two only recently met up before coming to Kaede’s table. It was not uncommon, rather it was the reverse since Kaede was used to going to other tables to try and make a bond with a girl or two when she visited busy taverns. Moving her head back to relax Kaede yawned lightly and tried to get a bit more of her energy meter back so she did not look half asleep while talking to two lovely woman.

  6. In Comet's eyes Kaede seemed to have less control but remained more of herself versus a drunken Eyas who would only get worse with each drink, most likely. She felt comfortable despite this view. More than enough times her "friends" would host parties and lose themselves to alcohol. Comet strayed away from such things aside from... that silly game of ale drinking, where a title to boast about could be earned. Looking back now she felt a fool.

However, values hadn't changed since then. Having fun, being emotional, feeling good; these small things could happen without consuming so many of this or that. More so the former than the latter. Troubling anxieties never truly would go away, and insecurity loomed over her heart at all times. The two women appeared amusing enough to make the night go faster. Comet waved in Kaede's direction before sliding into the seat of a chair across from the Elven female. Emerald eyes traveled to the long, pointy ears that were impressive in size compared to any other Yladian she'd ever seen. The unique appearance drew her in with a startling ease.

"I can take care of myself," the pink-haired woman smirked, crossing both arms over her chest, leaning back in the chair. "and I came to waste time, really. Usually I wouldn't approach anyone in a place like this but..." her eyes shifted towards Eyas' figure. "she seemed lonely. I could see it in her eyes. And you were clearly agitated about something. Never hurts to have a friend or two around for comfort, yknow?" Comet maintained a light-hearted tone so the others wouldn't take the words as hostile. The young woman happened to be completely sincere in the moment. A negative reaction from either of her newfound companions would be disappointing. Humiliating.
