It was a giant square. A giant square with a square-formed hole in the middle! That was, pretty much, the perfect description of the Mansion. A two-story building with its own garden at the center.

It was a weird case indeed. With someone as rich as "The Prism Collector of Stokbon" the mansion could, currently, not be touched by any legal authorities. At the same time, however, adventurous kids and teens entered the place however they liked.

Being in one of the finer districts of Stokbon, the only real challenge was getting past the security of the other rich snobs. Nobody liked some dumb 'average' kid of an 'average' family destroying the image of their noble neighborhood.

Yet, The Prism Collector's Mansion became an Urban Legend. Simply being known as 'that Mansion' or 'the Abandoned Mansion' everybody living in Stokbon, that had an open ear for gossip, knew about it.

Luckily, however, the device that Xsune set-up ages ago made it childs play to enter the place unnoticed. It was an essentially long-range invisibility spell, imprinted somewhere in the mansion that, well, allowed full invisibility to those that wore a special ring!

As the party of five entered the mansion from the front-door it didn't even seem like some creepy ghost mansion at all. Nobody ever mentioned something about ghosts anyways.

Sure, there was a lot of dust, not to mention the lack of candles or other unnatural lightning, but in the grand scheme of things, it all looked rather cozy. It was about to be half a year since the mansion was unofficially counted as abandoned anyways.

There was a corridor leading to the left and a corridor leading to the right as well as a staircase to the upper floor. Another door, behind the staircases, led to the inner gardens: Overgrown by vegetation to be an unrecognizable green mess.

Nonetheless, as usual as the entrance hall seemed. With the exception of various pictures, stools, and vases having been stolen, ransacked, or destroyed, the magical talented under them could actually feel something.

    Something unique.
    Something chaotic.
    Something different.

And as suddenly, just like that, the invisibility spell stopped working, even those without magic knew: they had been noticed.

    Meanwhile Somewhere Else

"Aaaahh, these kids are so boring to play with! Though the wannabe-though-guys sister is pretty cu-... Eh?... Eeeeehhh!?"

"What are you so surprised about?"

    "...They have come."

"They? You mean, they-papa-told-us-about-they rather than they-not-some-stupid-kids-they?"

    "...The special ones...
    A girl, her dreams corrupted...
A girl, searching for her true self...
    A girl, seeking friendship...
A girl, wanting to be someone different...
    A girl, ... ..."

"Wowzers! That was the longest sentence I've ever heard you say!"

    "..."

"Anyways, with them here, there's no reason to pretend anymore, destroy the spell!"

    "...Already done~"

"What about the barrier? Papa said they're strong enough to just blast through it!"

    "Already altered~"

"Altered? Like, made stronger? Just like that? But then why didn't you do it before?!"

"My magic is bound by rules, yet, is ultimately just magic. Having a rule that states 'This barrier is unbreakable' is way harder to maintain than 'This barrier can only be passed through specific means'. Both can be destroyed through sheer brute-force but..."

"AAAhhh forgive me that I asked, just be silent! Oh right, it was that riddle thing, right? It's totally that riddle thing! Hope they are too stupid to pass!"

"But they're our age, no? Maybe we can capture them and Papa can turn them into our Sisters, too!"

"No, they can not. Papa said they have a Mama that is really sc-... huh?"

"Hey, why are you crying all of a sudden? What about their Mama?!"

"I-I'm not crying, look at yourself, you're crying!"

    "..."

  2. img "Fu~ Fu~ Fu~" Megan cackled as they entered into the mansion. After her completely successful missions of attacking the lion's and stealing Celestine, Megan's spirits were higher than ever, and she wasn't going to be scared by a few cobwebs and spooky furniture. In fact, the mansion seemed very much like something out of video game. She could just imagine a primary villain learning about his tragic origin story here, before lighting the entire town on fire. Which of course meant these halls contained an untold number of secrets, and hidden passages. Such a building would be a perfect mystery liar for a budding dark witch as herself. After the events concluded here, she'd need to go out of her way to somehow steal the rights to the property. It should be a simple manner of placing a hex on the town's mayo-

Megan's rose began to glow a dim red, as it pulled her out of her reverie pulling her mind into the void. She needed to focus on the task at hand after all. With a squint, she eye'd make the various choices in front of them. They could head to the left, down a dimly lit corridor. Or they could head right, to another just as a dimly light hallway. There were options of taking the stairs to the upper floor, and moving past them to go back outside as well...but... they didn't seem like the right choice. So it really came down to a simple decision of right or left. At least in Megan's mind. Of which she was proud to speak of.

Fu, fu, fu so many choices! But upstairs and outside can wait until we search this floor I think~ So we should split up, some of us go right, the others go left!

Ignoring any kind of argument the others made, Megan flicked her staff before her, giving it a few twirls before slamming it back into the ground as she channeled her mana into it. Slowly but surely a magical circle began to glow dimly on the floor before her as Megan entered into a deep chant.
Skadi, daughter of Jazi, wife of Njror, and goddess of ice heed my call! Your contract is still not fulfilled, and I require your aid, so bring forth your vision so you may see around me!

Magical circle before the witch began to glow a dim blue, as an oblong object began to rise through its center. As it materialized from the floor, its form became clear. It was a floating eye the size of a beachball, encased in a sheath of ice that formed what looked to be an eye socket. It's blue iris scanned the room, for a moment before a monstrous yet distinctly feminine voice came from it,

You call me again so soon girl? Is your need so dire in this....abode?

The floating eye began to bob around the immediate vicinity as it apparently tried to grasp where it had been summoned into. Ignoring the eye's question Megan turned to the left corridor with a victorious grunt.

    We will go this way!

She announced thrusting her staff before her, as she began to strut forward into the corridor on the left. After giving an exasperated sigh, the floating eyeball followed in kind, ominously hovering behind Megan as they moved forward into the unknown.

  3. Alpha shivered at the peculiar presence that seemed to waft around the mansion like smoke to a candle flame. It was something unfamiliar to her and it merely reinforced the frightening image that lingered on the abandoned home. Was what she was feeling the work of the ghoulish undead attempting to impersonate the fires of life? Was it actually a sense of foreboding that consumed her, warning her of some danger present within this unusually empty foyer? Or was it the corrupted essence of magic belonging to a wicked witch or some sort of barely-humanoid monstrosity that was watching them from afar?

The ideas which kept coming seemed to throttle her heart without mercy, each new thought being much worse than the last. She could barely breathe and, by the time she had the mind to search for some purchase lest she collapse, she briefly entertained the thought that this foreboding omen that haunted her was a phantom fear with no basis. She was safe. Magi was here, as was Blank. The two strange women that accompanied them seemed friendly enough and, steeling her nerves, she placed a mask of indifference on herself.

"Ha...ha," her laughter seemed fake and lackluster even to her. Hector, who accompanied her on the trip for no reason other than for her own sanity (who would willingly visit a haunted house?), sniffed the proximity, completely ignoring her rapidly beating heart and the cold sweat which began to drip down her palms and head. "So, uh, nice weather we're having!"

There was a cheerful quality to her question that didn't belong but she ignored it, instead deciding to shrug and do a few arm circles to keep the blood rushing through her veins. It'd be easier to appear brave and cool if she wasn't pale from fright, after all. "Nice to meet'cha guys! Kinda spooky around here but hey! We have a lot of stuff in common already off the bat!"

She grinned and began to list everything she could think of, counting with her fingers as her list continued: "I mean, we're all cool! That's one. And we're girls. And we have awesome haircuts...well, I'm not sure about Icy there," she jabbed her thumb at the Megan who was, at that moment, laughing creepily. "Cause she's wearing a hat, y'know? Can't see what hairdo's under there, she could have a mushroom cut for all I know! Oh, that's another thing! None of us, except probably Icy, have mushroom cuts! And we don't have bowl cuts or funky afros or..."

She continued on with her long list of hair names, eventually stumbling to a stop when she ran out of fingers to count on. Without further ado, she took off her pair of bunny slippers and resumed her decadent list of similarities (or dissimilar haircuts) until, finally, Blank mentioned the dreadful words.

"Split up?!" Alpha stuttered, eyes wide as a rush of panic filled her. "I mean, that's a good idea and stuff but, like...uh, what if werewolves come out and ambush us! One-by-one! That's how the movies go. Number one rule in a horror movie, always stick to the group! And don't check out strange noises, don't ever lose your virginity to a jerk jock, and don't ever go swimming in a pool of sharks!"

Her frantic arguments to the contrary, however, were all for naught as Blank began to trot down to the corridor on her left, with the strange eyeball thing. And, with an audible gulp, Alpha braced herself and came rushing to Blank's side, Hector on her heels. "Buddy system!" Alpha shouted, feeling her nerves calm as she managed to reach Blank without any possessed puppets or shadowed eldritch abominations attacking her.

  4. img This was a first. Or a first in recent memory anyway.

Tenebris was with a PARTY this time. She had only been with someone else during some of Verm's crazy little training exercises. Which usually entailed getting really beat up and lost in massive labyrinths that seem to just exist for the purpose of grief. Not that it bothered Tenebris. She was curious if some of those places had actual entrances though.

The people persons she was paired with were all people she knew except one. Some blue haired doggy. For some reason she got weird feelings when looking at her. Magi was one of those dopes that would always have to touch a neko's ears. Always. There was also Snefrid being a wolf and causing a bit of trauma to Magi. It was the last big fight she ever had after all.

Damn that was so horribly kewl beans! How could she of not enjoyed that? They all just were suffering and then mercifully saving eachother! But now...

She had a job to do.

Stepping into the manor. Tenebris immediately noticed that her mana was clashing with something else here. It didn't matter if they were invisible or not. Xsune... pfft, that nerd wasn't so great. Tenebris would make sure she knew that too!

    "Okies... "

Gertrud appeared in her hand, the black bow glimmered in the dim lighting of the manor.

"I'm only going to go with a plan if I like it. Hehehe... I'm going to find out if there is anyone here who needs help. I mean... hehehe. If they are in heaven they can't tell anyone right? Not like angels are real, and if they were, they'd approve I'm sure *snicker*"

She saw Alpha and Blank going together. She looked left and at the stairs. Gosh this was going to be slow wasn't it? Then she focused on door in the back. She could smell the grass on the other side. If this place was like Vermillion's Manor then... Tenebris did not know why, no... she did know why. She had to see what kind of plants were there. She was born because of some plant. Finding more magic plants like that might help her understand some things about herself.

    "I'm going this way."

Tenebris said in a strangely calm voice as she headed for the door to the Gardens.

  5. Celestine trailed behind as the group of-- ...actually, what were they again? She definitely wouldn't call them anything like friends, especially considering the fact that most of their names eluded her.

There was 'Hat Girl' and 'Sprinkles' and 'Pink One' and supposedly there was another one coming to aid them soon-ish. A blissful smile crossed her face. It was the perfect party. Even better: they were headed into a supposedly 'haunted' house, which meant the scene was ripe for horror-induced cuddling.

So what if the horror induction was her fault? They didn't need to know that!

"Okay, Ghostie," Cel whispered quietly to what appeared to be her torso - a good distance from the rest of the group. "When I do a stepping to the insides of the door, you do a float of the downward and start the waitings until I am doing the signals."

Hands crossed behind her back in the most 'Imma casually do a walk' manner she could manage, Celestine stepped through the doorway into the mansion. All that was missing was a clique 'innocent whistle.' She shivered a bit as she felt something familiar phase out of her and into the floor. Luckily, her pet had been crazy-fast about it, so even if one of them was watching, she could just claim it was a trick of the light or somethin'.

Once inside, Celestine took a look around at the surprisingly bare room. Not half as creepy as she'd expected.... crud, that made things a bit harder.

"Eye am actually going to do an agree with you," Celestine called to the ice magician, placing a great deal of emphasis on the pun. "I will do a join of Pink One," she declared, following along just behind the pink-haired girl. Excellent: it would be juuuuust the two of them. Granted, she sounded a little absolutely nutso, but the girl was still well within the perfect size-range for good, solid, scare cuddles. Personality was just the icing on the cake. Which - to be fair - was often the best part, but the metaphor still stood pretty strong.

  6. The mansion hardly proved to be as frightening as the outside seemed. Not that Comet felt scared of things such as ominous or dark scenery. In fact, things that tested her bravery gave an effective adrenaline rush. Quite the opposite - it seemed - from most anyone else who would be forced into the same situation. The aging building hadn't been abandoned for long, anyhow. And if ghosts were a thing, well, she'd kill them. Comet rolled emerald eyes upon listening to one of the little girl's speak as nervously as she moved or looked. Certainly the sound penetrating silence would be comforting for anyone who dreaded hearing a noise created from an unknown source, so it was reasonable. But annoying nonetheless.

Catching sight of the Felis - from Reclamation that attempted to shove her away from Caccu - the Archer turned in disgust towards Blank and the rambler. It'd be better off to begin the journey, wherever it may lead, with them. Blank appeared to be a familiar face so she followed along the "buddies", sliding in next to them as the third piece to the puzzle. An awkwardly fitting piece at that.

Long and lanky and older... the list went on but Comet shook her head before waving towards them in a friendly fashion. "I'll tag along with you guys, then. Don't be so scared," she lectured (@Alphabet Chocolate) with a faint grin. "if you look past the age and creepy atmosphere this place is kinda nice." with a shrug she scuffed her boots on the floor at a steady pace. Hopefully the action would kick up soon. It seemed lately she relied on the adventures the game threw at her to keep herself entertained. At least the choice wasn't difficult to make.

The first rule in a horror story was to never split. Even a lover-pairing of two was 'split' enough to just die first! Good thing that this Mansion wasn't really spooky at all then, was it?

And even if some spooky ghost turned up, with @Magi Heart being one of the strongest, statistically speaking, there was surely nothing that could defeat them? But would the pink-hair truly protect @Celestine?

The 'Garden' was, simply, a mess. There was a heightened walkway that served to split the actual greenery and mansion wall from each other, but without anyone tending to it some plants had slowly made their way over the wooden, sodden floor.

Someone who was quite knowledgeable about plants could deduct that in just half a year, assuming the garden was tended to before, there was no way the plants would grow so wild and far! It was, ultimately, beautiful but also a mess. Flowers of all color variations made one wonder how cheesy the old man must have been. They were a girls thing after all.

With all the green in between, it was truly hard to find any sort of clues whatsoever without getting your own hands dirty, though!

Staying safe inside, the group of three went on their merry way. What was supposed to be an excitable ghost-story seemed to turn into a dull adventure, yay...! Dust, broken down furniture, actually barricaded windows. Who the hell barricaded the windows?! And so on.

Room after room, there simply seemed to be nothing there. Well, nothing out of the ordinary anyways. If one felt particularly hungry they always had the option to eat some lying around moldy bread and such, too!

It took a good 5 minutes of boredom until, suddenly, something actually happened! Was that... the faint crying of a girl's voice from that room? Clearly, they would investigate? It was awfully dark, too dark in fact. The kind of dark that someone like @Alphabet Chocolate would call 'spooky dark'! But with an adult like @Comet at their side, there was surely nothing to fear? It seemed to be, after all, just a little girl crying in a corner? Or... or was it... actually laughter?

With all this darkness going on in that room it was hard to tell except that it was a small frame that had her arms wrapped around her legs in fetal position. Sitting tight in that corner. Well, that and the fact that anyone with a magic mastery could tell that something was off in this room!

Too bad @Blank seemed to be spacing out a bit, maybe?

It all started with a small whisper that only the genius magician could hear:
    'Don't trust them.'
    'You think they're your friends?'
    'They're just using you.'
'Your rose stands proof to that.'
'A false power you don't deserve.'

With each whisper, the voices became louder.
With each whisper, the voices became clearer.
With each whisper, the voices became more.

Over and over again, they kept chanting same, similar lines. A headache-inducing mess. Yet, loud and clear for the ice-mage.

Until, suddenly, it all stopped, with one big tinnitus inducing boom. Ending in one sentence that burned into her mind for the rest of this adventure.

  8. Everything was shrouded in a cold, dark blanket. The artificial dusk that settled upon the room left an eerie shudder running down Alpha's spine, the feeling that something was just off was merely exacerbated by the presence of a wooden barricade apparent at every former window. And, in the middle of it all, was some sort of figure curled up in a ball at the corner of the room, its frame highlighted by the stray bits of light that managed to give it the barest outline. Terror and dread filled her in equal measure; something was stuck in her throat and, no matter how many shivering gulps she attempted to do, it wouldn't go away. Hector, for all his bravado, seemed to cower somewhat with his tail tucked between his hind-legs although his ego ensured that his face was as stoic as ever. If one looked closely at her companion, they'd notice a slight tremor at his paws. His hackles were raised and he stared at the humanoid figure with the barest sense of wariness.

"I-I'm totally not scared!" Alpha squeaked, her eyes wide and still tracking the still form in the room. She didn't know the pink-haired girl's name yet but it didn't seem to matter. Unsettled by this sudden encounter, she moved her eyes ever so slightly off the being, which she was certain was a poltergeist of some sort, to see how Blank was faring. The girl seemed unfocused, a bit off in her own world. Alpha had a lot of experience in that department but it was odd to see someone she knew to be a coldhearted (pun intended) and slightly phlegmatic person to have dazed out like this. Sure, Blank had her moments but, for the most part, Alpha had always seen the girl as resolute with a strong and sturdy presence in reality. She wasn't the type to daydream as far as Alpha knew.

"Uh, Icy?" she nudged the girl on the shoulder, her eyes retreating back to stare at the prone, fetal silhouette. "You there?" she waved her hand in front of Blank's face, using her peripheral vision as her guide. Unfortunately, Alpha's peripheral vision wasn't exactly perfect and, should Blank be unable to notice her outstretched limb, it would smack her straight at the cheek.

She wheezed. "Okie dokie, stay calm. Stay calm. Uh, Alpha is alright. Alpha's gonna be fine," she failed to notice herself speaking in third person. Her lungs drew in air like a motorboat running through the sea and, despite her deep, frequent breaths, she felt like there wasn't enough oxygen around her. "Okie dokie, I'm fine. We're fine. This is gonna be good. We just need...salt! Where's the salt? Does anyone have salt?!"

She twisted her head, frantically looking back and forth between Comet, Blank, and Hector, the latter pointedly ignoring her in favor of keeping an eye out on the intruding presence. "I watched a documentary about ghosts once on lifetime television!"

She paused and, with a flush (that wasn't from adrenaline) rushing to her cheeks, she flapped her arms in an attempt to explain herself: "All the good channels had commercials on, okay?!"

Alpha took both of her hands, and tried to rest them on Comet's shoulders, the height difference between the two forcing Alpha to stand on her tippy-toes in order to attempt and reach the woman. "Salt circles! And names! Ghosts have real names or something that you can banish them with!"

She turned around once more to face the nameless girl. Quickly, with only a hint of hesitation, she wiped the cold sweat dripping down her face and, with her stained fingers, held it out in front of her, as if it were a plausible shield to protect herself from any theoretical danger the small frame posed. "Begone! Go back to your underworld, you demonic creature of the night! Your name is...Nicole? Jeffrey? Damien? Clara? Harriet? Ivan? Bartholomew? Cookie? Taylor Swift? Tell me if I'm getting close!"

  9. img Tenebris' face did not hide it's disappointment. This garden was nothing like Vermillon's infamous Demon Rose breeding ground. It didn't help that she was not a naturemancer before or now. So this was pointless. Yay for hopeless wastes of time!

This place did annoy her for other reasons too. This greenery was growing everywhere. It was so full of life. How did this place even get this way? Did the old fogey just let his plants grow? It was a mess but strangely pretty. Pretty... she may have found it a nice thing and have thought to clean it up for him back then.

Back then... but not now. Now it ticked her off. It made her feel...unsettled. It was better to help a plant die quickly and to speed up that natural process anyway then to let it sit around blooming. It offended her. A beautiful life was a lie.

    "..."

She thought about the need to search the room and it gave her a idea. She wanted to see the extent of that power the weird tux guy gave her. She walked slowly through the room and began to cast a spell. Her Twintails began to blow as a dark circle appeared beneath her. A shadowy light rose up and basked her youthful face in a deathly hue. There was no need to disguise this spell. Her healing magic could be as bluntly lethal as it was meant to be!

"Magia power! Salving grief, curing pains, Love's going to smother you right into that light!"

She would make these flowers look so much better, so much prettier, so much deader!

    skill
    Fluch Der Liebe

Attempting to use her 'Heal' spell to rot away the greenery in the room.

  10. img Megan and company began to stalk through the deserted mansion without much luck. Several long minutes passed as they searched hi and low only to find nothing. Soon, lucky or not, they came to a room from which they heard a feminine wail. The group moved to investigate, but Megan held back as she heard something else. Something odd. Something whispering to her in a ghastly voice...that somehow seemed her own.
    'Don't trust them.'
    'You think they're your friends?'
    'They're just using you.'
'Your rose stands proof to that.'
'A false power you don't deserve.'

"Armed with the childish flame you call passion.
Protected by the ice-cold paranoia that doesn't even trust her own shadow.
Like that, you're doomed to be forever, truly, alone."

Struggling under the weights of the thoughts, she collapsed to her knees barely dodging Alpha's half-hearted attack. Clutching her head, Megan stared blankly forward seeing only her inner demons shining in the eyes of her supposed 'allies'. The rose on Megan's wrist began to glow brightly in a crimson hue that seemed to shine off the young girl's eyes.

    N-n-n-n-nooooo......

She whined as her Summon moved towards her, talking in a pleading voice.

You're being manipulated. You need to calm down.

If the summon's words could be heard, 'the girl with no name' made no indication of heeding them as despair clearly began to warp her features as she pushed herself up, standing shakily with staff in hand as Comet and Alpha drew further into the room before them. The power of the rose continued to course through her, but it did nothing to the feelings of abandonment beyond fostering the hatred that grew deep within her. In a moment of pure rage, she let out a yell so loud and full of resentment that even the duo that had been separated could likely hear it.

    AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHA!

    You'r- AHHHHHHHH

The summon's words were cut off as Blank, flicked her staff towards it forcibly supercharging the creature with mana.

I'll destroy it, I'll destroy it all!

The summoned creature warbled and screamed in pain as its form began to distort. Anyone with magic capabilities could see what Blank was doing; she was using her summon as a conduit to contain a massive amount of mana much more substantial than she would be able to hold usually. Slowly a magical circle began to grow from underneath the monster, expanding and spreading through the walls until it encircled the entire mansion, causing each room to glow an eerie light blue. All the while Megan held her staff before her chanting in an unknown dialect, over and over again as the mana continued to swell in the abomination in front of her, before being transferred into the circle.

  11. Celestine followed Pink One along close behind. The smell was the first thing that hit her. It was a POWERFUL flowery smell, which made sense as soon as she caught sight of the dazzling array of flora. Now this was pretty nice: a lovely, overgrown garden! Totally not the spooky scary mansion she'd expected it to be when she first caught sight of it.

    Actually...

    STUPID!
    HOUSE!

All she needed was the right atmosphere for ghostie to suddenly pop up and it'd be the perfect formula for scare-cuddling. The first room had been bad enough with it being bare and everything, but THIS!? A FLOWER GARDEN!? At this rate, they'd end up sharing a love-at-first-sight kiss before a proper scare clinging.

Cel sulked in the corner with a pout, glaring at the flowers around her. Flowers weren't cuddly... or were they? She picked a vibrant yellow one and rubbed the petal against her cheek. Actually, it did have a nice, soft feel to it, but yeah: not really what she was looking for. She tossed it.

"Okays, I have done enough of the flowerings. Time to be doing a leave I am thinki-- err...." she cut herself off as Pink One began to release some kinda crazy magic chant. "Huh... she must really be doing flowers a hate," Cel reasoned to herself quietly, taking the opportunity to sneak up behind Pink One. Her tail swished from side to side as she casually inspected the girl like a shopper eying produce at the supermarket.

Looking up, pink hair was always nice. It gave her a good, cutesy look. The personality was pretty good too: right on point with the girlish theme from what she'd seen so far.

The hairstyle was a-okay~! Twintails were adorable.

Prevailing ribbons around her outfit were also good, especially with the little dress. Frills were oh so important when pulling off that sweet, girlish look.

The voice that was chanting out random magical jargon matched up with the set pretty well too, yes. It sounded like there was just that tiiiiiny hint of nuts-o in there, which she'd note to herself as a bit of bonus flavor. If there was no harm to the overall product, she wouldn't touch it.

Her palette choice... eeeehhhhh, it wasn't really her favorite. Then again, she always preferred the innocent ones to the edgy, evil, dark-witch ones, and really, they both had their time and place.

    Celestine's Final Verdict: [IMG]

Having thoroughly stared the girl over for the entire duration of her spell (and then some), she just couldn't resist. Falling forward, Celestine latched her arms around the girl's torso and squeezed tight, rubbing her cheek against the back of her neck with a blissful smile. She was more-or-less blind to the chaos and death that might be spreading throughout the garden: when it came to a good cuddle-hug, any setting was fine~!

  12. With a shake of the head she allowed Alpha to be... herself. More focus had been placed on Blank's strange behavior anyways. Patting the candy-haired girl on her head, she shushed her. "We don't need salt. Anything in here can be killed as far as I'm concerned. Part of being brave is getting over fears. You work on that," her tone was stern at first but trailed off as emerald eyes caught sight of the chanting mage. Surely, the laughter caught the pink-haired woman off guard as she'd already taken out an arrow to pair with her weapon. The sudden appearance of an unidentified person and echoing of the cackles sent a shiver down Comet's spine. Nonetheless her position and look remained ones of absolute confidence. While, deep down inside a cold heart began to thud against her chest.

The situation wouldn't remain boring for long, she knew, and began to approach the huddled figure before Blank's drum-shattering scream filled her ears. Brows raised she turned her body before freezing, eyes wide. The crimson glow and unstable magic paired with a hectic Alpha twisted the room into a true nightmare. Though she felt far more scared of the mage's abilities versus any sort of silly demon or crying girl serving as distraction. Or perhaps an outside manipulation? As the floating eyeball briefly mentioned, she could faintly recall, before the moment escalated into a deeper issue. One as deep as the soul. With long and quick strides she'd attempt to get close to Blank; to snatch her staff with a rough pull or stop the slip of a girl with a more direct and less dangerous action.

In the end, however, Comet instead tried to grab onto a hold of the mage's shoulder before shouting loudly, "Snap out of it! You're not alone. Fight this... this stupid thing as hard as you can!" she ignored the massive monster being built out of... whatever force magic depended on as that seemed most likely to be it. Even the burning bright blue wouldn't stop possible prevention. Rather, the pink-haired woman felt obligated to try stop the source of such deadly things by talking. Or through other means if this one failed to work. Memories of an almost persuaded Seigi by darker powers than Comet knew of flooded the mind with an immediate concern. Hopefully, things would work in her favor.

"...??? What the hell did you do!? That stupid eye-patch girl is going nuts!"

    "..."

"Thirteen used Mind Crush! It was very effective! ... I found that one kinda cute, thou."

"She's gonna blow up the entire mansion, isn't she?!"

"Correction. She'll 'freeze' it. But as long as the basement stands there is no need to worry."

"But Papa will be mad if his house blows, uh, freezes...? up?"

"No. As long as the basement stands, there's nothing to worry about."

"Be reassured. That spell isn't enough to penetrate my barrier. Especially with Thirteen's link."

"It's not like I don't trust in your abilities, but just to be certain, cancel the other spell and pay full attention to the barrier. Thirteen, proceed as planned."

    "...Understood."

@Alphabet Chocolate attempts were in vain as @Blank seemed to... break? The damage was already done, the greatest ice-mage of all was going nuts. She kept charging and charging to do something to all of them?! Not all was bad, however, as at the very least the near complete darkness of the room seemed to vanish: Leaving just another dusty, plain guest room. Except, they still needed some salt? The girl was still there!

Unlike before, however, with the significant change of scenery, she seemed way less creepy than before. Her features were clearer. Long, brown, hair with a simple dress. Going from her fragile frame she couldn't be older than 10, maybe? Nonetheless, though, she was still curled up in a frightened ball of smol.

The adult in the party, @Comet , did the smartest thing of trying to snap Megan out of it asap. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn't? Because not long after she grabbed the magician on her shoulders, Comet could hear a voice, too.

Loud and clear, only for her to hear.

    "Violet."
The voice of a familiar male. Her father?

"Look at you, wasting your time in some silly game." Joined by the voice of a female that the woman, no, the girl, knew just too well.

Then, there was a distinct silence. A few good seconds, before they all joined in a chorus. The voices of her parents that expected her to be a model child. The voices of her teachers that couldn't see past facade. The voices of false friends she had to pretend to get along. And so much more...

    "You're such a disappointment."
    "I never liked you anyways!"
    "Such a fake!"
"Even after all this, you're still as weak as ever."

They continued and continued until, at the height of their yelling, a single whisper ended it all:

Meanwhile, as Blank's circle went through the entire manor, @Magi Heart went to work in the enclosed courtyard. Using her vile and twisted magic to create an Orchestra of rot and decay. It was, indeed, quite a musical piece as, suddenly, with the beautiful flowers and greenery crumbling into a dull black, a shriek could be heard.

It was music in Tenebris ears. The knew this kind of scream, it was one full of pain, full of torture, full of 'make it stop!'. But, as the garden continued to rot away, it did not stop.

    It was only the beginning.

A second one joined, then the third one. More and more screaming joined the Chorus. Wanting it to stop. Wanting her to end it. Unaware that these tortured pleas were a driving force to only make it worse.

At the height of the screaming that even muffled Megan's own madness, it was then that Tenebris, for once since her cursed existence, could experience the kind of happiness she truly wanted?

As the garden was decimated and gave vision to what was beyond, as the shrieks became muffled and silent once more - for a short moment even something akin to some simple baby crying - she could see it: A Testament who to this twisted man truly was.

Remains. Remnants. Remains of occult circles drawn in long-dried blood. Arms, Legs, Fingers, Remnants of body-pieces that were in a perfectly fine condition just seconds before Magi's magic made them rot. Severed tiny heads of people that @Celestine might have deemed cuddle-worthy, now shrunken to be simply disgusting. Unnatural, small, mounds of dirt right next to dug-up, empty ones. Pieces of doll-parts, wraps of bandages, various bones, runic devices she'd never seen before, and so much much more.

How did nobody ever notice this before?!

But, somehow, Magi knew. She actually did the right thing. Somehow, she could tell, these heads now beyond recognition, all had a gentle smile on their face... .

  14. Comet's words seemed to resonate within Alpha, managing to calm her somewhat. In the midst of her frantic impromptu exorcism, however, that went little ways ahead to stop the chaos that had blanketed the room. Blank was currently being possessed by some phantom that spoke a different language (the language she was chanting in sounded somewhat like a mixture between Spanish, French, Japanese, and Klingon); Magi and the blue-haired girl were nowhere to be found; and Comet's attempt to try and appease the currently feral girl (who may or may not have a bowl cut) seemed to fall short by at least a few miles or, if you were pompous and lived anywhere else in the world other than the good old United States, kilometers.

And all of that didn't even mention the brown-haired kid who might be a ghost of some sort. So, in short, Alpha was very, very displeased. "Oh my god, oh my god!" she cried, abandoning whatever ounce of professionalism she had to run around the room like a chicken with its head cut off. Hector was hidden somewhere in the room, probably with his head ducked down and behind his two paws (it was both surprising and terrifying how such a brute could be able to hide so successfully in a plain room). "I. Hate. Ghosts! Never again, guys! Oooooh, Vermy's gonna be so mad when she hears that Icy got possessed! Wait..." she looked over at Blank, who was gathering power. "I got it!"

It was a brilliant eureka moment for her and, as her face shone with pride and relief, she failed to notice Comet's current state of Hearing-Voices-No-One-Else-Can-Hear™, which was becoming a popular state of mind for 40% of everyone in the mansion today. When Alpha spoke up about her plan, it was more for her own ears than anything. Who wouldn't want to hear their own plans made from their own super smart mind? "Did you know that I was adopted? My grandpa found me in an alien shuttle as a baby! Not like Superman or anything—I had a monkey's tail! I was sent to destroy all of humanity from planet Earth but, before I could, I accidentally hit my head and forgot all about it! After, I didn't want to destroy stuff anymore so I became the world's first Consulting Detective for the Scotland Yard! But, the point of that story isn't so I can brag about my pureblood Slytherin heritage! The thing is, there's one thing that fixes all things! A fixer-upper for all upper-fixers!"

She grinned, her face positively mischievous. Slowly, she began to crane and crack her neck, her knuckles, and her wrists. There was a brief moment of silence as Hector listened aptly, having nothing else to do while retaining shelter from Blank's eventual spell of destruction. "Concussive therapy!" she shouted and, without another warning, she leaped up using her Acrobatic Finesse™ and braced her fist for kinetic impact. "Or percussive therapy! Whichever works! I'm gonna beat the sense into you, Icy! This is the fist of friendship and common sense! FALCON PUNCH!"

  15. img The garden had become a incredibly eerie sight to behold. Tenebris bathed in her newly acquired black magic, channeling it throughout the courtyard. Only to be followed by piercing screams and death on all sides. All the while Celestine cuddled her from behind. The mixture of affection and sadism would be unsettling for most normal people. Luckily enough, there was absolutely nothing normal about this place. The symbols left behind only confirmed that truth.

Tenebris was so enthralled by the experience that at first she ignored Celestine's hug. The mad girl was rarely given such a wonderfully griefful experience and this had left her with a strangely Magi like smile on her face.

"Mmmm.... that's better❤. That was pretty kewl beans."

Then her face grew dark as she continued.

    "..Get... off... me... I... "

She stepped hard on Celestine's foot and dug deeply with her Wing Shoes. Not caring if she broke her foot or not.

    "HATE THAT!"

She Shadow Stepped towards shade given by the manor walls. Materializing with a wide eyed and wild stare. She looked upon Celestine with a fury Magi could never showcase. Yet was quite easy to rile out of the Reverse Magi even now that she had settled into her own skin so to speak. A dark purple arrow aimed at her, fully prepared to fire.

"Don't touch me. I despise that kind of thing. That's not how you do things... it's a waste of time! This is what works. What matters."

She quickly gestured her head towards the decayed mess all around her.

    "Urgh... gee whiz."

She lowered her bow slightly but kept the arrow of magic in hand. These parts might have chaos energy in them. Or might have other uses. Tenebris was not a beginner anymore, she knew better than to miss a chance to pick up something if it was worth it.

The screams and strong feeling of magic being gathered throughout the manor meant little to her. She recognized Blank's magic but couldn't care less at the moment.

"We should look around. Some of this stuff is hehehe, kinda cute❤."

She dismissed her arrow as she scanned the area and looked for loot. Afterwards she would head back to the main hall if there was nothing. Not really caring about where to go next.
