"Oh?" A curious murmur broke the lips of the young vixen, tapping her finger upon them directly after. Snapping her fingers above her head with her right hand she grinned with a perverted stare, placing her left hand upon her waist. "Lovu Triangle!" She'd shout, the Lady Alva looking down and blushing in response a small grunt of dismay escaping her lips.

"Yes." The lady spoke, her gaze drifting off to the window near they stood. "I have put myself in quite the disposition. I never wished for it to turn into this..." Lady Alva's words would fade. "M-my husband was never adequate with certain... things." Her face grew red once more as she skipped upon using other words in place of things, though it was unlike her to do so.

Eliah gulped with shock, flinching in fear of hearing anything else come from the mouth of the lady that she didn't want to here. "Oi!" She'd exclaim, flailing her arms in a signal to seize the old people dirty talk. While Eliah was rather old in comparison to the other adventurers, it was her races longevity that seemed to keep her appearance as young as it was. Though she still had the drive to partake in such activities that the lady spoke of, a very large drive. She wasn't one to dwell on other's intimacies. "Enough, enough! Let's get on with it, what do you need me for?" Eliah insisted on the conversation to move forward.

The Lady's face still red she'd let out a sigh before it seemed to dim back to her original pale skin tone. "R-right..." She seemed to be off in another world. With a good cause, too, it would make sense for the lady to be distraught as this was all a little bizarre and likely a lot to take in. Wedged between two men, one that loved and cared for her through his undying support and hospitality. Meanwhile, the other held the romance and quenched her thirst for a prosperous love life. Eliah couldn't think of doing such a thing, as it seemed far too dramatic for her, but she admired the woman for getting what she wanted out of life.

A bright smile followed by a hum would break the moment of silence as the Lady Alva seemed to come back from her mind. "Yzak, my husband, has been sending letters with threatening words attached. I've read them while he has slept." Eliah hummed in interested and confusion. "As unlike my husband as it all is... I fear that he will follow up with these words." She paused clenching her long flowing fuchsia dress, "Though, he would never do such a thing himself. He hasn't the skill..." Her words would drift once more, as she looked outside of the window in paranoia. Eliah would follow her gaze and stretch her body in front of the window to see what she was looking at: nothing. A sigh of relief released from the lady's scared mouth. Eliah huffed crossing her arms as she grew impatient with the lady. "I wish for you to watch over his home, it wouldn't be for a couple of days. Aft--"

"You want me to watch his house for two days? Lady are you crazy? What am I supposed to do for those two days, when do I eat, when do I sleep?" Eliah queried with excitement, though her tone wasn't exactly pleasant. Lady Alva flenched as the vixen seemed to growl at her.

"I-I'm sorry. I will be sure that you are met with the items required for you to stake out his home." Lady Alva struggled through her words, bowing her torso in forgiveness. Eliah would roll her eyes, and rub her chin. She debated on whether or not it would be worth her time. Sure, she was to get paid for it or whatever but surely she could have spent two days making way more money than she would be getting here in the dungeon. Eliah looked at the distressed woman once more, her head was draped in shame as she fiddled with the lining of her dress.

Sucking her teeth Eliah caved, rolling her eyes once more. "Alright, alright. I'm in." While Eliah didn't like the fact that she was missing out on getting stronger in the dungeons and collecting loot, she felt bad for the lady and couldn't help but give in to her pleas of help. It was rather pitiful, to be honest. Although, Eliah could only imagine if it was her in the same position. The thought of that even happening to her made Eliah grow sour about it once more as it was something she would never get caught up in, but who knew. Sometimes things happen that you would never think would happen, things tend to happen so fast you lose sight of what is right and what is wrong. That's how she saw it at least.

Nonetheless, she'd have to put her better foot forward here and tough it out. After all, she might find some action in it.

  2. Korra sat through the whole explanation largely quiet apart from the Lute in her hands that occasionally let off a gentle sound with every stroke from her slender fingers. Throughout the story and the woman's excitement about the Lady's ordeal, Korra spent her time lazily laying out across the ground, her magical companion propping her up into a seated position. Her Lute was firmly wedged between her smooth thighs to keep it up right as she tinkered and played with both hands lazily drifting in and out of the conversation as it went by. The creature supporting her was naturally a horse-like beast in appearance, though it bared some resemblances to Korra because of her clothing style. She was content on the floor, idly spending her time listening until they came to talk about certain 'inadequacies'.

A tired sigh crossed her lips as she finally spoke out in response. "Why look for guys at all then? When it comes to 'certain things' who would know better then someone with similar tastes?" She complained. Glossing her lips with a sweep of her tongue to moisten them at the thought of company, her gaze turned up towards the two while Eliah was trying to silence the client. "I'm sure even your husband would have agreed to that sort of request-- though I guess it's too late to turn back the clock for that sort of thing." She ended up heaving a heavy sigh, it was clear that she seemed to feel she missed out in some way. There was a measure of disapproval and irritability that flickered across her face before she mellowed once more and returned to idly plucking notes of her lute.

While they continued though, the more flustered Eliah seemed to become, Korra ended up licking her lips a second time from some sort of anticipation. As if she were a wolf eyeing a plump and oblivious rabbit, her gaze narrowed, but she remained relaxed and limber as she had been since she got here. Even if Eliah seemed to struggle with the moral dilemma of the woman, Korra seemed to view it as childish; If one can't please you, find someone who can. If one can't support you emotionally, find someone who can. If they can't agree to share, then find people who can! Weren't there plenty of people out there? Why be so jealous and fierce for one person? Korra might consent to such heated emotions if it were a collection of committed individuals, but a simple couple was nothing to get feathers ruffed over.

Hearing her request though, Korra's fingers stopped for a moment, sliding down the strings of her lute idly, the thought of protecting an adulterer seemed troublesome. A frown painted her face as she spoke with a furrowed brow. "We'll be protecting the boyfriend then, not the husband? I don't understand, why not just settle down with the one who survives?" She asked with a tilt of her head, the creature behind her turning it's head up briefly from the movement before resting down once more. Korra seemed to have a great deal of trouble following the logic of this mission, though that was just her own unique outlook on life no doubt. "Or just sit them both down and tell them there's no reason they can't share-- I mean, it's not like there's only one..." Korra started going into some expletives that could potentially even be unwelcome, but even so she took the time to describe the nature of such a relationship unless silenced or stopped in some way.

While Eliah seemed distressed over two days though, Korra was clearly unbothered. Her strength didn't grow from life or death experiences, only her wallet. Even then not by much considering her role as a career supporter, there was no big loss for her who specialized in support. Instead, if she did lose anything, it would perhaps be the time she wouldn't spend playing for lovely maidens at the bars, or at the fountain, or in the labyrinth. It was no big loss for her though, there would always be others to serenade and arbitrarily confess undying love for. This was the kind of life Korra lived one step at a time. "I've no problem waiting for a few days. Are you sure he's the one who's going to send assassins though? Why not the other one trying to get rid of your husband to keep you?" She asked with a perked brow, as if she would no doubt kill the husband herself if she were in his shoes, as if this were the natural line of thinking and logic one should follow.

Though hearing Eliah agree, and show a measure of concern for what she should do for two days, Korra stretched out a lithe and delicate arm, gesturing at her with a waving hand, her melodious voice calling out even as she beckoned to the girl with a mellow grin. "I can think of a few things to kill time. Nice things--"

Looking back, the girl that happened to be her partner for this escapade had some extremely fair points. Even though they were out of Eliah's reach in terms of her own preferences she could bring herself to the same level of thinking that Korra was on, as she had been through plenty of "boy troubles" in her life. Sometimes she had just wished that she was just not physically attracted to them and preferred females instead, but she didn't and couldn't really bring herself to promote such an, what she considered to be at least, odd thing as homosexuality. Though she wasn't entirely certain this was what Korra was talking about, she had a fair bit of insight that this is what was to hold true. Eliah wouldn't mind though, she didn't judge people for the things they couldn't control as that would be completely disgraceful. Didn't mean she was going to treat her special or anything because of it either, though.

Then came the bit of logic that led Eliah to think for a moment. Yes, why wasn't the other guy trying to do something about all of this? And if he wasn't trying to retaliate what kind of display of love was that? He was just going to sit back and let a bunch of women protect him, what is this? Last time she checked, women weren't that high on food chain in society just yet. While they weren't treated like utter trash they definitely weren't as entitled as men were and men were to hold a rather high standard for the head of their household, so what the hell was going on here? Was had this become an ensemble of women protecting one man. Her thoughts would trail off in digression as it wasn't a matter of why she was doing it. It was a matter for what, and at the moment that was gold. Though there was something fairly fishy about all of this. She just couldn't place her finger on it, nor would she put much effort into doing so.

Eliah's would expose her "good" side to Korra flashing a wink to tease the girl before expelling a giggle and a grin. Eliah knew good and well what she meant, and she figured she'd play along for grins until she grew tired of it or it irritated her. Though she wouldn't respond verbally, she'd leave it to Korra's imagination to ponder on her response. Nonetheless, she'd turn back to the Lady Alva who had been writing on a piece of parchment the house number and directions to get there. As she finished a small tap of the quill at the end of her sentence would solidify the letter, she'd hand it over to Eliah. It would read the address and have a post script message below it. As she read it her face would grow red before she was thrown into surprise by a small spritz of perfume being blasted onto the parchment by the Lady. Eliah would look up at the woman red-faced and then look back down. The Lady would grin and then wink at Eliah, shooing her away with her hand. Stuffing the message into her bag she turned to Korra, her face returning to it's normal appearance. That god-awful resting bitch face of hers.

She'd look to the door and head that way. "Let's go." She'd say as she'd open the door and walk right out. Their destination would be the Upper Quarters.

  4. Korra only flashed a faint sneer in response to the lady's efforts to spritz a letter with perfume. The gesture itself was something that Korra looked down on to a certain extent; in her gaze that was rapidly cooling, she saw a game being played, a drama. A great many people misjudged people for her reputation as someone who chased after girls, before all else her intentions were all unnaturally pure, the power of warm company was what she desired to her core. These games and lures though were something foul in the bard's eyes, such feelings should be open, blunted, expressed, but this felt far too suppressed, hidden and sneaky for her. She did love and adore women and girls naturally, but this was a feeling and desire she wore on her sleeves, nobody out there would not understand the type of girl they were getting into when they approached her, but this lady was different which earned a twinge of ire from Korra who found love and relations to be a lovely thing. She restrained her opinion though, her feelings as everyone began to get ready for the journey, Korra herself reached up to the creature at her back's mane to pull herself onto it's back.

Naturally she intended to ride Kirin along the way, Korra was someone with a weak stamina and lacked tenacity after all, she could be called lazy in some circles but she simply had a weak constitution. Though Korra caught Eliah's attempts at teasing, she'd get a toothy grin in return, Korra was no doubt someone who should never be allowed an inch if there wasn't interest. It was largely because once there was a whiff of hope, she simply wouldn't let go if she could sink her teeth into it. "Careful dear, I wouldn't recommend playing with fire~" She teased Eliah back, a playful provocation, clearly trying to call Eliah's bluff. Korra had a playful grin on her face, one that seemed to say 'I dare you, but you wouldn't dare' without words. This wasn't Korra's first time unraveling someone's preference to reach out for their heart within, but such a process was something that would no doubt happen slowly and over a long period of time. She was content with waiting and provoking Eliah stimulating her competitive side by calling her bluffs and teasing her for not daring to go further.

Though as they walk, Korra wasn't one for idle conversation, small talk simply wasn't for her, she was far too direct a person and didn't really understand casual pleasantries. Instead, she pulled the lute down from her back, fingers delicately plucking a few strings. Though the atmosphere about Korra was as warm as ever, her gaze was still somewhat frigid from the earlier discussion. As she plucked a few strings, she began murmuring a few lyrics for the lady and Eliah to hear. "There'll be girls across the nation who'll eat this up, babe I know that it's your soul, but you should bottle it up and get down to the heart of it; know it's your heart, you're running out of your luck don't make me tell you again my love-- love love love love~" The lyrics might perhaps be enigmatic, but her gaze listed slowly towards the woman, then back towards Eliah as if trying to gauge their reactions. Whether or not the subtext was picked up on or not, Korra wasn't particularly interested, but it was filled with red flags and cautions.

"I am aiming to be somebody that somebody trusts with their delicate soul. I don't claim to know much; It's as soon as you start to make room for the parts that aren't you, it gets harder to bloom in a garden of love-- love love love~" Her song continued, she idly stroked the strings, the song was mellow, calming, but the underlying message became somewhat clearer as she continued. Her frosty gaze remained sharp even as the Kirin carried her along. The creature itself already used to Korra's nature, it was unperturbed by her efforts of provoking Eliah and cautioning the lady. Though even as she did continue her cautionary tale through song, she playfully wondered just how worked up Eliah would be from her challenge. The thought made her moisten her lips once more with anticipation.

    Summer - Afternoon

Eliah would snicker at the playful banter that exited the girls mouth, she hadn't even come to know her name yet. Seemed they both weren't too educated on the fundamentals to social interaction, though Eliah wouldn't extend any sort of effort in the manner. It was futile to her at this point, she wished to get the job done and go on with her life. As grueling as the task was to her, having to sit at some random man's house for two days. Though, she was sure that the two would engage in some sort of conversation during the time, or not. Who knew. Nonetheless, the grin that she received from Korra would send shivers down her spine, causing her to shudder slightly. This girl was a lot more to handle than Eliah had thought, she thought it would be best to just chill out on the sexual tension for now as it would likely fall into something she didn't want to be a part of. For now, at least. In result, Eliah would nervously laugh before looking off to another direction.

She thought it was odd that the girl road around on a mythical creature everywhere, it wasn't something that you saw everyday. Though, in a sense, it was pretty nifty. It just wasn't something Eliah could see herself doing unless it was something kin to the species that she was as she would at least be able to level with the beast on a spiritual level of some sort or something. Nonetheless, she was rather fit and preferred venturing around on her two legs, or on all fours if she so pleased which was something she typically would only do if she were to run or be engaged in combat.

Things remained rather quiet for a small amount of time, though things seemed to liven up as Korra began strumming away at her lute once more. She'd then come to find words to her melody and sing them aloud. They didn't make much sense to Eliah, but she enjoyed the girl's voice at least and it was nice to not walk in an awkward silence. She could only think that the words had something to do with her sexual yearns or something. She didn't look too far into it, it came to be white noise after a while. Something that helped with the extremely long walk, but just not in her general taste as she wasn't much for music in the first place. She always saw it as white noise or just noise in the background.

Though the second verse seemed to catch her ear, twitching as it rang through. Her forehead puckered as her mouth set to a hard line. Raising a finger her mouth would flop open as though she was about to say something. Her face and hand would rest like this for a moment as the lyrics carried on, when they came to an end she'd speak up. "Doy-uhhh... not too subtle there, are you?" She queried bluntly before letting her hand and arm fall back into their normal positions in movement. "There's something about those lyrics that just seem to be pushing toward something recent..." Her gaze would run to the corners of her eyes to the girl upon the horse, her lips pressed together. She felt as though her previous words would come to haunt her eventually. Seemed fun, but she should probably be cautious the girl seemed rather determined right off the bat. Especially if she was able to see through Eliah's playful tease.

The group would continue on their small escapade to the far off land of the Upper Quarters. The lady would draw to a stop a block or so away from the destination. "This is as far as I may go... Unfortunately, I cannot bare to see my love again if things were to grow grim." She paused for a moment as her hands fiddled with one another at her bust. "I'm counting on you." She'd say looking up at the two before turning away and going back home. Eliah would send a nod, reassuring the lady that they had things under control.

She'd look up to Korra, "What have we gotten ourselves into? This is gonna be a shit show." She'd look ahead, before pulling the small piece of paper back from her pocket, being sure not to read the post script attached to it again as it was just too much for her. Her gut told her that things had a possibility of getting messy, which would likely result in their stake out being cut shorter than they intended. Such, gave Eliah a further sense of hope as she carried on.

  6. Korra only let out a chuckle, but it wasn't quite the mellow or melodious chuckle she'd used thus far. It was a bit more frigid, cold and harsh but rather then explain it, she simply continued, plucking a few more strings as she continued her song with a firmer tone of voice even if the tempo hadn't changed. "We can understand the sentiments you're saying to us-- Oh but sensible selves, could you kindly shut up and get started at keeping your part of the bargain, I'll please you-- Oh darling you're killing me with love-- love love love~" Her song continued without skipping a beat, though her message was a bit harsher through this verse. Whether or not it donned on Eliah, Korra couldn't change, but the reality was that the song wasn't exactly meant for the girl she was hitting on and teasing, instead, this song was more intended for the Lady who remained stoic from start to finish that stirred Korra's suspicions as she continued on idly plucking strings as they went. She wasn't sure if Eliah would catch the message in that sharp verse, but she tried to assert it without rousing the lady's suspicions too much as she reclined against the draconian horse's back picking up the tempo just a tad as it seemed they were approaching their destination.

"Started as a flicker meant to be a flame, skin has gotten thicker but it burns the same. Still a baby in a cradle-- got to take the first fall; Baby's getting next to nowhere with her back against the wall. Meant to make me happy make me sad, want to make it better-- better so bad. But save your resolutions for your never new year there is only one solution I can see here~" She spoke rolling a shoulder as she got comfy against the Kirin's fluffy scaled hide as she continued with the tail end of the song. "Love you're all I ever could need only one good thing worth trying to be and it's love-- love love love love~" Though the subtext got progressively less subtle, Korra seemed disappointed by the result, nestling into the Kirin, as if feeling lonely, for a moment she maintained her frigid scowl until the woman left her alone.

Seeing the woman peeling away in a hurry though, even seeming nervous and full of anxiety, Korra's brow knit watching her disappear up the street. In the end, the Kirin collapsed down, dropping down to it's knees to lay down lazily as it did back when they first had their meeting about the client list. All at once though, Korra exhaled her frigidity and frustration all at once before turning her back and falling into the Kirin's side where she could find warmth and comfort once more. In response to Eliah's question, Korra let out a soft chuckle. "We're being set up-- I wouldn't worry too much about the unknowns." She explained bluntly without any warning as if she'd seen through things quite well. Rolling her shoulders she relaxed lazily with no sense of urgency or lethargy as she continued trying to explain it to Eliah who seemed lost. "I just haven't decided on whether it's because the death will be pinned on us, or if she's buying time for this man to kill her husband-- Difficult~"

Despite the extreme words she was using her voice wasn't hurried, her tone wasn't rushed, she didn't seem to care one way or the other, instead, she simply continued to muse while strumming chords with slender fingers. "You've not experienced a lot of love have you? A strong feeling-- Painful feeling, but strong feeling. There are a lot of problems in both her story, and how we're being commissioned. Haaaaa... To think I'd experience a set up in my first job in such a long while." She complained clearly dissatisfied. "You should have some vague idea right dear? There's nothing we can do here on the first day though regardless, it's best to get a nap while you can." She offered, playing a few more chords. Korra would pass the time to idly with music, but when evening started to rise, she pulled out a large bag. Normally she used it as a supporter to carry loot from the dungeon and tying it to Kirin's body for easy transport. At night though, she used it as a sleeping bag, slipping her body in, she snuggled in leaning against the creature's fluffy mane like a pillow before glancing up at Eliah. "... What-- you want to join me in here where it's warm?" She asked, flashing a coy grin knowing the girl's response, but still trying to find an excuse to tease her after her misunderstanding about her song.

While Eliah felt that things were fishy, she wasn't too sure as to what exactly would be in the house when they got there. Though it seemed that Korra had already made up her mind that they were being set up. That wasn't exactly how Eliah saw it be, she just felt as though they were going to get inside and things would turn sour rather fast. She couldn't put her finger on what exactly was going to happen and Korra's words made her stop and think about all of it for a bit. Though, in the end, she'd just want to go find out for herself what was going on. No matter what it was that was behind the doors she'd like to know. "Well, I don't believe ever being in love is going to tell us what's in that house. That's for sure. If we are to be set up we have clear proof that we were sent here by someone else. So where's the harm in checking?" She'd come to question her tone wouldn't come off as abrasive she simply asked simple questions and gave simple answers. Nothing less, nothing more.

However, her curiosity wouldn't lead her over there, though. Not alone, at least. She didn't wish to just leave Korra alone either. Especially if there were to be a bandit to come and attack her before proceeding to the house to do his actual job. While it seemed Korra had some idea of what was happening here, Eliah couldn't rely on her entirely. Nonetheless, she'd shrug before speaking, "I suppose you're right. The sun has been baking my tail just the right amount here anyway." She'd announce before heading over to a stone wall that lined the perimeter of someone's house. She'd hop up and get on all fours, walking around in a circle a few times before falling into a laid position curled up with her head tucked down into her arms. Her tail flailed around slightly as her ears twitched before she finally settled on the warm rock beneath her.

She'd let out a sigh as the girl seemed to just get cozy right here in the middle of nowhere. While that's typically how Eliah kicked it, she didn't leave herself open to a carriage running her over in the middle of the night. She'd be asked to join her in which Eliah would hold a hand up and raise her head from her arms. "I'm good." She'd smile before laying her head back down and letting the sun bathe her fur and skin. As reality seemed to pass by her and she entered the dreams her mind had planned for her to view.

  8. Curled up, Korra let out a mellow chuckle nestled into her sack as she spoke while poking her head out from the interior as if it were a sleeping bag. She spoke in a soft lazy tone, indicating she was planning to sleep almost immediately. "No... But it would give you some insight. A love song can only stimulate regret and unease in those who are unsure of what to do with their adulterous ways. For someone who is calm; it's usually because they know how the problem is going to be 'solved'. Also, she didn't stay and introduce us to the one we're protecting, so there's a chance he's already dead and we'll end up stumbling onto the body and be killed and labeled as the assailants. Alternatively, she might have done this so we kill her husband for them mistaking him as the assailant since it seems like the man himself hadn't had a chance to confront this issue either." She explained, opening an eye to glance to Eliah, sucking her teeth playfully she wagged a finger playfully. "A liar will always be a liar dear. People can change their ways but not their colors." She tried to offer before nestling back in.

While Korra slept, the horse she napped against maintained a vigilance that wasn't normal. As if not needing sleep, the Kirin glanced about lazily, occasionally laying it's head down, but other times watching Korra sleep. Korra slept deeply, not fearing god nor devil as she slept out in the open, it was clear, Korra slept like this usually. With no real home of her own, she simply looked for a good shady tree or a nice plush knoll. The reason she didn't have to worry about carriages or bandits was likewise that horse at her back. While Korra herself was a supporter, the draconian steed was her only real method of fighting in the dungeon, that horse that watched over her like she was a small child didn't sleep a wink as she simply passed time like that.

Naturally, in the event she was overthinking things, Kirin kept an eye on the house for anyone showing up. He'd naturally stand up to alert Korra by shaking her body that was above it if anyone appeared. It waited idly occasionally chewing at grass or tree roots without much of a care. It wasn't the first time he'd played body guard for Korra after all, in fact it was his role almost every night. Though the creature did occasionally glance towards Eliah, Kirin wasn't bothered by that other girl who seemed like they weren't a threat to anyone.

Eliah's eyes would remain shut for the majority of the explanation set in by Korra. It seemed to Eliah that Korra was rather set in stone about her anticipations for the outcome of all of this. If it were all to be true would the two just willingly accept their defeat and go to the home? Eliah wasn't all too sure as to what she would do if that were the case or how they should go about carrying out their mission. It was rather conflicting, in a sense. She'd peek her nearest eye to Korra as she'd finish up her words, her ear fluttering and then standing taut as she drifted into a sleep. "Hm... Maybe, only one way to find out." Her words would drift and fall into the sound of her heavy breathing as she slumbered in the curled ball.

She couldn't help but fall into a dream where the assassin would come to follow her around as she happily took on her day. Every time she'd come to be curious about the presence she could feel on her back she'd look back to find nothing and carrying on. All of this would continue to happen and what felt like hours would be mere minutes in the mind of the vixen. Outside her body would be slightly torn to jolts and jitters as she slept. The dream would start to grow dark as men began to fall in the streets, clenching their chest as they did so. She'd continue on running until finally, she came to an abrupt halt as the Lady Alva stood before her with a grim smile being the only thing that could be seen from the casted shadows of her head's tilt. Her head would rip upward as she came to a maniacal cackle.

Eliah's body would shudder slightly before tensing up enough to jolt her from the slumber. Her head would be brought from her arms and she'd look around curious as though she had forgotten where she was. Though her senses would come back to as she'd see the horse and its owner. The creature would meet Eliah's gaze forcing Eliah to shift her line of attention away in intimidation. As she did so, she would see a dark figure flee behind the wall of a house nearby...

  10. Korra would relax sleepily, lazily, her dreams were as one could imagine, a warm household, one with a variety of women all with figures and faces that couldn't be distinguished, unfortunately blurred. Korra's greatest dream, the one she saw most often was this very dream. A simple breakfast, eating, talking about work. The few girls who were adventurers getting ready for a hard day in the dungeon, the others who were home makers seeing them off with high hopes but worried hearts. Korra's promises to be home in time for everyone to reunite at dinner. This lovely and innocent dream was one that Korra idealized and worked tirelessly towards, but the chances of her bringing it to pass were far too few at this point in time.

It was only when Eliah noticed the people moving, that the horse suddenly jerked it's head to the side rising up to it's feet. This action brushed past Korra's body causing her eyes to dart open, veins reddening the whites of her eyes, her anger flared briefly from her dream being disturbed, but she settled quickly following the horse's line of sight. "Kirin!" She spoke gesturing with a hand and immediately the horse's hove cracked against the ground beneath it. It's stomp produced an electrical discharge as if lightning had struck for only a moment as the creature snorted with disdain. The fact that anything dared try outrunning it under heave and above the earth was an affront to it's noble character and a stain on it's pride. The creature reared back, clearly getting ready to charge towards the fleeing figure, Korra on the other hand though, stood up out of her bag and turned towards Eliah trying to give her a subtle push onto Kirin's side. "Hold on~" She tried to tease attempting to load Eliah onto the horse's back before it took off.

Naturally when it did, Kirin took off at a breakneck speed. The horse's thunderous steps shot towards the darkened figure, not intending to kill, but merely to cut off it's escape as it stared it's victim down looking at it from across the way trying to herd the person back to the house they were escaping from with threatening neighs and hooves. If Eliah happened to make it onto the creature's back, it would stop short of it's target trying to buck her off towards the person in question as if trying to throw her at the victim like a projectile. However unfortunate, this wasn't a tactic meant for Eliah, but one for Korra's adventurer that she supported who was a fighter.

When her gaze met that of the shadowed figure, the horse would come to acknowledge it as well. In doing so it would grow ill with aggression, raising up on its hind legs and coming down with a triumphant thunderous force. Which was literal, lightning seemed to be the element that the horse held at its disposal. Which was interesting to Eliah that the girl's power would derive from that of another being. It was different from what she was used to, that was for sure. As Eliah would get up from her prone position she'd make her way around to try and help calm the horse. However, that didn't seem to be what was going on here. Eliah came in assistance to calm the horse then go back to sleep, instead, she would get pushed up on the horse's back before it sped off in the direction of the figure. It wasn't until this moment that she realized that there was suspicion to be placed in the shadowed individual. That being said, she'd hold on tight as she bounced upon the back of the horse having no idea what she was able to do to stop the abrupt smashing of her rear.

A wail of struggle would cry out from Eliah, one that caught the attention of the shadowed figure not realizing he was being followed. Just as the figure turned about Eliah was bucked from the horse's back and launched in the direction of the suspect. Flailing, unsure of what was going on here she crashed into the shadowed figure at a high speed. Sending both of them sliding in one direction before they'd come to a halt by the rough surface of bedrock. Eliah would wince, as she got up dusting her garb off. As she'd look up she'd come to see the figure was Lady Alva. Raising a brow, she'd try to let things click in her head for a moment. It would be no use, she didn't have a clue as to why the Lady was here. Was she coming to check up on them? Nonetheless, she remained still with pain her face riddled with the hurt she felt from her back side. Eliah wouldn't say much of anything as she was rather confused as to why the woman was here before them. All she could think to do was sit and wait for her partner to come along if she so chose to do so.

  12. Korra followed along, lazily compared to the heated racing of her mount. Pulling her Lute down, she exhaled a soft sigh as she closed the gap in a lazy jog while plucking a few key strokes. "Healing Hymn; Sing~" She spoke as she began playing a mellow song during her transition. "What the hell's going on; can someone tell me please why you're switching faster then a shivering trainee~ We're black then white-- No something isn't right; Our enemy's invisible I don't know how to fight~" As her song started, Eliah would be able to feel pain fading away and if she'd been scraped too hard enough by the ground to bleed, instead of blood, shimmering light would flow sealing the wound. Korra repeated the chorus once more for the person who'd been taken down by Eliah as a human projectile. Kirin would naturally watch them closely, hoof not far from their bodies, as if the threatening stamp was meant to keep them in place while Korra approached.

Looking down, Korra couldn't help heaving a mellow sigh seeing the woman who contracted them for this job, a sly smile came to her face, she even moistened her lips as she looked down first to Eliah then to the Lady in question. "You shouldn't be coming to a place that's under risk of being attacked by assassins dear. This just isn't common, specially since you seemed so worried about how it would be handled." She murmured, suspicion roused in her gaze as she cocked her head crouching down for a better look at the woman. "Great Job though dear, you managed to catch her~" Korra spoke with a playful giggle finding Eliah's help most timely even if it seemed that Kirin forced the decision on her, it did allow them to catch the woman who seemed started.

Eliah looked herself over after patting herself down check for wounds, though it would seem that any that had existed just vanished into pretty little sparkly things. Here eyes would glimmer, slightly distracted by the pretty lights before she'd shake it off and grab at her tail removing the dust from it as well with a soft but swift petting motion. Hmm, she must be a supporter type of some sort. I was in a bit of pain before, but now it's just gone away. She'd think to herself. She'd come to shrug the thoughts off before smile at Korra who was approaching. While Eliah may have been the one that caught her, it was the bizarre sense of strategy that her and her companion held that was responsible for everything and the end result.

Eliah regrouped with the others, stroking the side of the horse's face in thanks of its efforts to doing what was necessary to stop the intruder. She'd keep an ear turned to the two as she tended to the horse giving it some attention for a job well done. Eliah would nod in agreement with Korra's first statement. "Yeah, I think it's rather odd that you left us here earlier not wishing to see your 'lover'..." She'd use air quotes, "Then head on over here this early in the morning to see what was going on." Before turning to Korra who commended her on a job well done. Eliah would follow along with the playful giggle and do so herself. "It was nothing really, your friend... Kirin? He did everything. I was just pushed into it all." She'd rub the back of her head continuing the sheepish laugh.

Lady Alva still laying on the ground as the wounds on her back turned into a glimmering sparkle, which resulted in Eliah's face turning to goo once more, was rather confused as to how the two could just sit there and casually talk among one another as she was there in pain. Though it would all drift away from her in a short amount of time, her wincing face growing to a calm and relaxed orientation. The Lady would let out a pleasant sigh before smiling and staring at the sky above. "I truly missed my dear love... I could feel a beckoning within my bosom as I laid in bed with my husband. I couldn't sleep much, afraid of what was to come of him so I had to come and see him one last time. I regret not doing so before." Her words sang with a jovial dissonance as she seemed to be in another world from the immense healing she received from Korra. This caused Eliah's brow to furrow and her lip to curl up as she took a step back flinching at the gooey words that came out of her mouth.

"Y-you're...s-s-such... a whore!" She shouted before bursting out into laughter. "Does your snatch really speak to you like that at night? I wish I could experience that, sounds marvelous." She'd continue laugh to herself, before getting serious once more tapping her finger upon her lips. "But still... Perhaps we should have her go in and see what happens." She thought out loud before looking over to Korra. "What do you think?" The woman's eyes would grow large on the ground as she heard the suggestion.

  14. Korra mused on the woman's purpose to some extent, though suspicion was clear in her gaze as she watched her explain the 'calling' in her bosom. It wasn't as if Korra didn't understand that draw, she was drawn towards every woman in such a way after all, but she shook her head slowly and tried to consider it deeply. After all the best way to peg the assassination on someone else was to go in yourself and rediscover a corpse and blame it on someone who was meant to be a body guard. Korra was leery about it since the only means of stopping such a rumor was to silence the one spreading it; It was truly a difficult proposition to follow through with, particularly when Eliah turned the question on her. It was a difficult one to answer, pulling the strings of her lute plucking a few notes, in the end she gave a vague shrug, a sly grin touching her face as she glanced towards Eliah. "I suppose, though we shouldn't just let them meet just in case-- We have to protect him after all, doesn't that mean we should 'keep watch'?~" Korra explained, her sly grin widening a stretch.

Though she said that, Korra licked her lips slowly, turning her gaze to Eliah as she laughed sweetly. "It's not like I can't understand the call of one's loins to one they love, I feel a strong pull like that towards most girls after all." She tried to tease Eliah who was so awed by the woman's desperation, but in a softer tone, she turned her back trying to glance towards Eliah with a measure of seriousness. "We will have to go with her though, if there is trouble it will probably be happening now~" Korra mused relaxing as she reached out for Eliah's shoulder giving it a pat or rub that was perhaps a little too friendly before trying to slip past and approach the house in question. Trying to sneakily approach, Korra wanted to try and understand the condition of the house before the lady went inside. Inching forward, she kept her steps light, her posture was low and bent to keep her out of sight. She tried to peek faintly into the window wondering whether or not she truly was being set up.

Regardless though, there was no doubt this had already come too far at this point to slip out without springing the trap at this point. Rather then putting it off, Korra figured it was best to get it over with and simply kill who needed to die in this equation. "Alright then, let's go." She gestured for the lady to lead the way with a hand even as Kirin trotted forward to join her back at her side once more.

Eliah could feel the weight of the question wearing at Korra slightly, her moment of silence signalled this. Though her response to it would throw Eliah off slightly. She didn't see Korra to be one that was much for strategy, but then again most strategists let their normal personality remain a disguise to their true thoughts. Eliah would be putting a lot of trust in Korra leaving her to make the decision and she would have to follow through. As, at the moment, they were considered to be partners and she would have to back her actions up no matter their consequence. A nod would be sent off to Korra's direction, "Hai." She'd say with a criticalness behind it. She'd be responding to all that was said to her at this point before Korra set off to scope things out with the house.

Eliah would remain with the woman, and would look back to her watching as she seemed to tremble while Korra approached the window and peeked in. This would raise a brow upon the vixen, the noticeable suspicion on her face led the woman to let out a deep breathe and smile toward her direction. "Very well." The Lady Alva would agree as Korra signaled her to lead the way. Eliah would stand still and catch the rear staring at her face that screamed trap to Eliah. She could smell how nervous she was as her perfume began to fade and the smell of lies, slander, and deceit entered the vixen's nostrils. Eliah would let out a small snarl before turning and following the three.

The Lady Alva would approach the door raising her hand to knock. A small pause would ensue as she hesitated her hand trembling ever so slightly. She'd turn back to the others, "What if... what if it already happened?" She'd question, she seemed to be rather riled up inside scared to walk in to see her lover dead. Eliah pressed forward, grabbing the hand of the woman before smacking the door a few times with it. The woman would yelp in shock and fear as she was forced to do the thing she wished not. Her face would freeze as well as her body once Eliah released her grasp, this would only signal Eliah to do more.

"Let's get on with this," Eliah stated before reaching passed the woman and pressing the door's latch open. Eliah would give a surprised look to the woman, covering her mouth with a flattened hand. "Oh wow, the door is already open. Rather inviting for someone that is to be a dead man!" She shouted blatantly giving up the fact that the lady was with some company, before her mouth grew flat and her eyes grew dim. She took a step back before pressing her bare foot into the small of the woman's back and shoving her into the house. She'd look to Korra and Kirin behind her as the woman fell flat on her stomach. A small yelp emitted from the lady's mouth as she came to a thud on the ground. The door swung open before being stopped by its hinges and springing back to wedge itself into the woman's side. "I think we'll just let her check things out for a moment." Eliah would send a wink her way before walking out from the awning before the doorway. "I'll tell you this much, though. I'm not going in there unless that lady walks around everywhere. Worst case scenario, she dies to the same guy and we go collect from the husband. Whether he wants to pay us or not, I see pay day in my future." Eliah propped her body up against the wall and crossed her eyes before they came shut.

  16. Korra couldn't help a sly smile at Eliah's response, seeing the girl following along with her so diligently, Korra nodded back in answer to her simple affirmation. "Yes yes, good girl." She spoke trying to reach up to the girl's ears and ruffle her hair and ears playfully before trying to walk off. Even if Eliah voiced her complaints Korra wouldn't really blame her, Korra didn't have the airs or atmosphere of a strategist, but she had the personality and temperament of someone who could see through others and stay five steps ahead of people. While this didn't apply to combat, it applied to politics and relationships, a practiced talent for the girl who spent her life pursuing the fairer sex. It was no doubt a useful skill particularly when her adventurer companions tended to be on the more naive or adorably oblivious side to people's potential schemes. Even Eliah who seemed so ready to work towards a pragmatic solution seemed to get lost in the nature of the job without suspicion in the beginning.

Seeing Eliah starting to grow skeptic too though was a welcome sight, it would have been irritating for her to persistently continue dropping hints and beating her over the head with realities as they stumbled around in the dark. It made it a lot easier if her partner or companion was able to follow her train of thought. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she gently ushered the woman in along with Eliah, but the lady's question about it having already been done made Korra lick her lips slowly. "Then our job is done, and we go home isn't that right? After all, if he's already dead, that would have mean you hired us too late."

She did fold her hands though seeing Eliah being so rough with the lady physically made her gaze narrow a bit further, her suspicions grew a bit stronger as she exhaled a heavy breath of frustration. Even when being handled so roughly by their employees this client wasn't lashing back or even the faintest bit disgruntled. There was certainly a problem here, one that made Korra frown deeply as she continued considering the possibilities. Listening to Eliah's suspicions grow though, Korra only crossed her arms over her chest and tried to rest her back against the wall with an idle and playful chuckle. The way she saw it, there was no point to even enter the building for them, the lady would be all they needed to confirm whether or not things were going well.

"Well, for now we can just wait, let her see what's inside, waiting out here would be best, but we need at least one eye on her." She spoke trying to open the door to keep an eye on the woman who would be having a meeting with her lover. Korra wasn't one to pry into heated and lewd matters that weren't her own, in fact she found the very thought unsavory but she still tried to follow the woman with her gaze as she went into the house. "People can be so much more sinister compared to the monsters." She said with a heavy sigh.

There wouldn't be a sound for a few moments. Nothing words or sobbing or any sort of distress would be heard. Eliah would sit outside impatiently, she'd look inside the doorway from time to time, prying her back from the wall to see nothing. That would drag her back into the place. She'd listen to everything that Korra would say and nod at words. "Yeah, well... emotions can drive us to do some pretty wild things. I've never seen a monster display any other emotion than anger or contempt." Eliah would state, letting her back and head slap onto the wall once more a brief sigh of impatience releasing from her mouth. It was just a fraction of a second later that a loud scream would come from the house. Eliah quickly ran inside on all fours.

A wide turn being made at the first living space of the house would result in her having to make use of the couch that was near the outside wall before bouncing forward and sliding to a halt at the doorway of the man's room. The woman stood just steps inside her back raising in a jagged motion before falling in the same manner. The sound of weeping glazed the woman. Eliah reached her head over the shoulder of the woman, looking passed her to see the man sprawled on the floor... dead. A puddle of blood flooded the proximity of the body, signs of struggle riddled the room's furnishings as things were thrown from their natural place during the event. It had seemed the two had failed to protect the man, or this was all a set up by the woman and she was just acting out how she would normally respond. Nonetheless, Eliah would turn back and walk out of the room. Letting the woman have some sort of alone time. There was no point in checking the man's pulse or ensuring that he was actually dead as it was as clear as day.

This wasn't a new sight for Eliah to see, she had witnessed death plenty of times. Sure it wasn't as common to see an actual person dead, but it still didn't mortify her in any way shape or form. She'd go into that first living space and sit down on the couch. Her head would drape down in some feeling of failure. "Did we miss it?" She'd question herself not sure if their sleeping outside of the house was the reason that they weren't able to spot the villain. However, the fact that Kirin was alert and watching came to mind. It still could have happened even if he were watching, there were too many blind spots, Eliah should have covered one side while they held the other. She punished herself inside, though, it wouldn't be too entirely visible from the outside.

  18. Following along with Eliah, watching the girl react to the pool of blood and the person's condition though, Korra couldn't help leaning her head to one side as she spoke. "No we couldn't have." Korra explained simply with a mellow chuckle knowing there was nothing they could really do at this point though. Sliding her hands through her hair with a flick, she nodded slowly in Kirin's direction as she continued on in a lower voice for Eliah to hear. "Kirin looks like a horse, but he has Draconian ancestry. There's no way something like a person would escape from his ears and eyes in the dark." She spoke gesturing to the creature's vibrant ruby red eyes. They shined like gems as wide as a horse's but the coloring was clearly not that of a mammal's. Even it's hide was covered with scales that gave it's identity away a little.

"Also, that blood would have dried if it was happened before we got here." She explained glancing in towards the Lady who was still crying out huddled over her lover as Korra had her secret conversation with Eliah in a low tone. If Eliah looked hard, she'd be able to see the red pool under his back slowly expanding making it clear that blood was still leaving his body even if he had already died. Strangely the other stains along the walls and damaged items that were red had already dried however and were already a darker crust that painted a few personal effects. Though Korra furrowed her brows, her gaze washing over the scene a few more times in confusion though as she leaned closer to Eliah, close enough for the girl to feel her breath on her ears as she mumbled her words. "My only question though, is why the blood on the walls and effects is already dry?... Why does it seem like he's only just started bleeding out that hard though. It doesn't add up." Korra spoke with a frown.

As if the man was already drugged on the floor and the struggle had happened at a different time, Korra's low voice continued, filled with suspicion as she explained the thing that caused her the most confusion. "If the struggle this badly happened, don't you think we would have at least heard a shout or cry? There wasn't a peep from this house despite this grizzly struggle, it all happened too silently for this kind of fight don't you think?" Korra spoke finally leaning away. Glancing back to Kirin, the horse slowly peeled away from them, trying to remove itself from the doorway and trott around to keep a good eye on the house. "First, we should get a good look at the wound. Can you take care of the Lady herself while I look him over? Keep an eye on her hands..." She spoke glancing back to see the Lady's hands well hidden against her stomach, Korra was largely worried about her concealing something since it seemed like there was something between her hands that she was trying not to bring attention to while she cried out.
