  1. Ike had been exploring the dungeon level below for the first time of his life, and man had it been hard. The clumsy newbie had gotten himself in all sorts of trouble, and he had the bruises and cuts to show for it. He dropped his katana twice, bumped into a creature he had not spotted and even fell down a hole in the process. However, after his last injuries his mind had grown increasingly calm, his body finally responded to his commands without fail, he felt like he was ready for anything. These feelings led the young adventurer to respond to the ruckus upstairs, ready to fight whatever he would encounter.

Ike dashed towards the exit of the dungeon, towards the lobby from which the chaos seemed to be originating from. The young man halted at the top of the stairs, taking a moment to round up the situation, his eyes emanating a red light from behind the demon-mask as he took in the scene. His surroundings were grim and the adventurers looked like they could use all the help they could get, even from a trainee like him. Ike looked up at the giant, quickly realising its target would be the female mage to his left. A chienthrope near the other two adventurers caught his eye, casting a spell of some sorts. Once the words ‘Shrouding Mist’ were spoken, Ike knew what he had to do. They needed a distraction and he would more than gladly oblige.

“Kabuki” Ike’d mumble, his eyes would light up in a bright red as the word was spoken. He’d bring his hand to the handle of his katana, unsheathing it as he would make his way over towards the shadow giant. He’d dart forward towards the creature, making his way towards its left ankle, before suddenly stopping and charging for what would be the human Achilles tendon. If Ike would reach his destination, he’d lash out with his katana at the tendon and come to a halt at the back of the shadow’s left foot, hoping it would prove to be enough damage for the monster to focus on him.

    • Entered the fight from the shadow's left side upon exiting the dungeon
    • Mask On! was already activated because he took damage within the dungeon.
    • Chose to distract the creature to buy the others time.
    • Would cast Kabuki on the monster's left ankle, which would result in a slash on what would be the human's Achilles tendon.

  2. Korra had heard news of the catastrophe, though she was leery about going that deep without an adventurer partner with her, it wouldn't be her first time traveling down. She, like some of the others who had been suffering was also a veteran who happened to luck out and avoid this type of fate where there was a huge monster baring down on her. "Haa... Hopefully it won't be too tough. Here I was hoping for a nice knight in shining armor type, instead I'll be protecting a bunch of sweaty guys." Korra complained, even now her head was filled with thoughts of girls, but it didn't slow her descent into the dungeon to take care of them.

Having called Kirin from the beginning, she let her mind rest while the scaled horse carried her down through the dungeon racing as fast as it could carry her. Sitting side saddle and holding onto it's mane, she let the beast carry her to the grizzly scene of battle, enough to make her sigh heavily as she glanced over the things that were transpiring. As the Kirin approached the conflict, Korra slipped off of it's back sliding to the ground with a skid to stop herself as her summoned mount kept running towards the monster in question. Though she saw some people who were injured, the mist screen made it harder for her to see others who probably needed her help. The prospect caused her to frown. "Support is here, but if I can't see people, I can't heal people." She complained a little about her job being made harder because of an assumed ally. Even so though, what little parts of Aaron she could make out through the mist made it clear she should start with him. "Healing Hymn; Sing..." Her magic would take only a second or so to activate it, but when it did, Aaron would be able to feel the stab wound on his chest slowly healing up. It was by no means a permanent fix, but would be a life saving measure to allow him to continue without risking death at least.

Korra tried to position herself on the opposite end of the monster, with the combat adventurers between them. No matter how much of a veteran she was, she was a support and would have to play her role if she wanted to be of any real use to anyone. Kirin on the other hand didn't need to be as careful as Korra did. With sturdy scales to protect it and agile actions, it was different from the frail girl as it tried to help as much as it could. Korra's mount, even as a summon creature however valued it's life, it wouldn't stay in the fray but like Korra would support the fighters the best it could. Seeing someone else already stabbing a stone through it's chest, Kirin decided to make that it's target. Waiting for the beast to be distracted by the other humans, one targeting it's face to get it's attention while the other tried to strip it of some of it's agility, Kirin would try to follow up while the shadow was dealing with those two. Rearing back it's body, the horse-like creature would try to bring it's weight down with it's front hooves onto that stone to force it further into the creature's chest trying to hammer the nail in properly.

    • Summoned Kirin upon entering
    • Applied Healing to Aaron's chest wound
    • Kirin struck with front hooves to try and force the stone through shadow's chest.

  3. Aaron had thrust forward his hand towards the creature in preparation to cast his spell, but stopped still with his eyes wide as he noticed the giant boulder headed straight for both him and the red haired fighter besides him. He let out a startled cry of, "Holy fuck!", before grabbing the man besides him and throwing both himself and Naburo off to the side to avoid the flying rock. Aaron hadn't even noticed the goblin that had been preparing to stab him from behind, much more occupied with the impending death by being crushed.

Aaron quickly pushed himself up to his feet again, pulling up Naburo with him. He looked down at himself quickly, glancing over his torn clothes and the various small cuts and nicks that had marred his body... Well, he looked down expecting them anyways, but he quickly saw that a good number of them had sealed up, leaving him a little better than he was before. Turning up and now looking around to survey the scene and take stock of everything, he noted that there had been three others who'd somehow managed to join the fight. He gave a sigh of relief at the sight of help, before glancing back towards Naburo. "Well? We can't let them finish the fight without us, right?" He asked as he forced a smile to his face, trying to seem confident and not at all scared and battered.

He turned back towards the monster, swallowing nervously, before he began to run towards the creature. He thrust out his hand once more, again attempting to cast his singular spell, calling out the single word chant and aiming it towards its face before drawing his sword and aiming to strike at the creature's face and arms, while yelling and screaming at it, hoping to draw its attention away from the others. "Hey! Down here! Let's see if you can catch me, huh?"

    • Talked with Deek, and he agreed to let Aaron help pull him away from the rock
    • Casts Ether Overload again towards the boss
    • Runs in attempting to strike at face, or arms, or upper body, and makes a lot of noise, trying to be a nuisance and distraction

  4. With the beast letting out so many roars, with it crying out in pain during the stab, Nabu was surprised that the rest of the roof over their heads was staying still. It was moments like this that they knew it was them or the creature. The creature was harmed, or at least injured enough that it was much like them. Taking a deep breath he was about to speak but stopped when he saw the giant boulder flying toward them. As Nabu attempted to run he noticed his legs couldn't move like they were. He knew the cause, the sheer amount of overuse and blood loss in his legs was the reason for it. But, he had to trudge on. The male he had helped rescue earlier had grabbed him and thrown them away from the crashing boulder. A loud squeal and then splat was heard as well as the satisfying sound of bones crushing. Looking behind him as he heard the sound, he grimaced a bit noticing it was a goblin that got smashed to pieces.

The fact that he had been pushed or rather tackled out of the way made Nabu cringe as his chest hit rocks. Biting his lip and then looking at the man that had helped him he noticed he was reaching down to assist Nabu. Chuckling as he stood up he spoke in agreement that they shouldn't let the new arrivals outshine them. After all, it was their kill. Here in this moment, he felt a bit if dampness and then the area surrounding them obscuring their vision slightly, that was good. It gave him time enough to march toward the creature and possibly finish it off. Seeing how there was a stalagmite protruding out of its chest still meant that he could probably just that and drive his swords through where its heart(soul stone) should be. He was had guessed before that it would be in the center of the chest, but the previous blow from Eli had suggested it wasn't, which meant only one thing. The Soul Stone had to be at the waist.

Calling out to all the people from within the mist, Nabu let them know. "THE STONE IS IN IT'S WAIST!" With those words spoke he had emerged from the mist and then using the last bit of energy left in his legs he jumped up, grabbed a hold of the creature and then attempted to stab its back right leg with his short sword. Using a bit of strength he forced himself to flip upward and then pull out the sword if the blow connected. It would be the moment after this that he would use all of his strength to perform Slice N' Dice upon his waist so that he could cut and possibly kill the creature in half. If this blow succeeded he would end up on the ground, but he could do more damage from the ground as it was, the legs and arms...if he could cut at least one off for the newbies...he'd be happy. Looking toward Eli as he was up in the air, his eyes had spotted her slipping into Mind-Zero or rather Mind-Down mode. They needed to finish this creature and all he could do was pray these blows connected.

He could feel his heart, his body crying out, asking him no...it was begging him to stop fighting. It was alerting him to the possible outcome he would be facing. He knew what this was, it was Stage 3 of fatigue. Meaning he was nearing complete body shutdown mode; much like Eli. He was spent, but he would stay awake to watch these new adventurers, even if he meant that he had to sit it out.

    Click me for epic music

    • Was shoved and tackled away from the boulder
    • Entering stage 3 of Fatigue.
    • Let the newbie adventurers know of its weakness and possibly the location of the soul stone
    • One more post for Nabu then he enters complete body shutdown and exits the thread(falls unconscious)
    • Let's finish this.

  5. Dungeon Master

An uncoordinated attack from the Dungeon Shadow ended up splattering the goblin behind Aaron and Naburo when they jumped out of the way. If anything, this taught everyone present that Dungeon monsters do not have a collective hive-mind. At the very least not these summoned goblins. From the way its splattered carcass painted a long red streak on the floor, that goblin will not be getting up for the rest of the fight. Celsius’ spell kept Aaron and Naburo out of danger for the time being as it removed them from view.

It doesn’t matter anyways, considering the Dungeon Shadow was quickly closing the gap between it and the unconscious Eliah. Fortunately, Ike’s well-timed intervention to cut the monster’s Achilles tendon succeeded in toppling the black mass and made it slide across the rough terrain toward Eliah’s direction, where it was already heading before being intercepted. With one of the stalagmite’s ends grinding against various obstructions protruding from the floor, it managed to crack the Shadow’s soul stone, leaving it in an incredibly vulnerable state. The sliding, however, caused the stalagmite to break and no longer stick out from the creature's back.

When Korra’s steed came in for an attack, no opportunity presented itself as the monster was lying on the floor at an incredibly awkward angle. With Aaron’s robbing its senses once more, the Shadow violently thrashed around swinging its arms, feet, and tail wildly. In its senseless state, its wild tail movements caught Kirin by surprise, knocking the summon into the rubble nearby, which should elicit a lot of pain for Korra who was linked to it.

Although Naburo went in to the Shadow as if it was standing upright, he had to readapt his signature move on the mass that was lying on the ground. While it wasn’t as powerful as he had hoped, his swords did manage to completely sever one of the Shadow’s swinging arms. Since Naburo had no way of getting out of the Shadow’s effective attack range, he also suffered a massive hit from the blindly swinging tail, knocking him away.

Finally, Aaron was able to take control of Naburo being a huge distraction and came within striking distance. All of the slashes he inflicted on the monster would further push it toward a state of exhaustion. Suffering from a massive trauma with its severed arm, the Shadow roared, summoning more goblins out of desperation as Aaron hacked away at its arm, which was clasped tightly over its head. Harnessing all of its remaining strength, the Shadow latched onto a large slice of marble and tossed it upward, intending to hit the remaining platform on the 2nd story. If the rock hit the already unstable protrusion, it would bury both the Shadow and rest of the adventurers fighting it. Fortunately, with Zeus having a firm grip of the foundation, only the portion the boulder strike would be affected. Had it not been for the almighty father, the entire tower would have crumbled under its weight by now. Those living in the higher floors were most likely not having a good time.

    • The Dungeon Shadow collapsed from Ike's attack and is now stationary
    • Kirin is knocked into a rubble nearby
    • Naburo is also knocked away in the same direction as Kirin, but end up further away
    • Aaron is right in front of the Shadow
    • The stalagmite is no longer sticking out, however, its soul stone has been cracked.
    • It tossed a boulder vertically, if it hit the unstable floor, all of you, except those who are near Zeus COULD be crushed by the ceiling collapse. This is an instinctive thought characters might have and not an absolute indication of what will happen.

  6. Korra grit her teeth, the feeling of Kirin being swept aside made her shudder visibly. Pain, there was a lot of pain, resounding pain even, she felt it from the side of her chest up to elbow of that arm. Tough, it was definitely tough she thought, gritting her teeth, she clenched her fist feeling it hard to articulate with her hand through the injury. For Kirin, this sort of debilitating pain wouldn't be as painful, the steed didn't have fingers nor need to use them, but it's body was no doubt wounded; broken ribs? Perhaps, fractured shoulder? Most likely hairlines... but not broken. She could still feel her fingers-- her arm-- the numbness of a broken limb didn't translate to her body. Kirin's scaled body managed to prevent it from being crumbling at least as it was swept away. The pain of the blow displaced over the steed's side area that translated to Korra's chest and shoulder.

Lifting her lute once more, she stretched a finger from the hand gripping the rim to the strings, after all the reason she favored the lute was because she could play a note with one hand if necessary. With feeling of pain in her side, she was reluctant to move her arm even if it was all in her head, instead she played the single note to try her magic once more. "Healing Hymn; Sing." She spoke plucking the note with her nail to try and heal Nabu this time now that Aaron was taken care of, she wanted to at least make sure the unconscious man wasn't in horrific shape. Whether or not it would make it in time to prevent him from passing out or even have any effect on his consciousness, she was uncertain, but keeping as many people aware and capable was her role as a supporter.

"Kirin!" Korra shouted firmly seeing the shadow beginning to break down and grow more frantic, the summoned creature rose to it's feet, unsteadily initially but it quickly stabilized it's frame shaking it's head. It's fore leg seemed tender initially as if hesitant to put weight on it, but hearing Korra's shout, it snapped to attention steadying itself firmly. The reason for her shout was communicated properly as it began to escape the projected area of the collapse. Along the way it would reach down to grab Nabu by whatever clothing happened to be loose enough to be gripped and allow for proper carrying. If Nabu didn't have anything but tattered clothes left, the creature would simply use it's blunt teeth to bite down on whatever limb seemed less damaged and carry him that way. It would perhaps be a rough ride, particularly if Nabu had no clothes sturdy enough to allow him to be moved, but it would be a ride that could ideally take him to safety as Kirin raced thinking it was trying to outrun a collapsing ceiling. "Careful everyone!" She shouted hoping everyone would be able to avoid the collapse in time.

    • Lots of Pain
    • Healing for Nabu ((Trying to keep him Concious))
    • Kirin tries to rescue Nabu who is close by
    • Kirin tries to pull him from the danger zone to safety.

  7. A weary sigh was given as a masked figure skulked his way out of the dungeon entrance and into the shadows of the calamity unfolding before his very eyes. Though a bit begrudging to accept this additional assignment after a weary night of sedition, Jack had still given in to one additional request.

At the behest of an unidentified guiding hand, he’d creep his way into the tower’s base floor while keeping an eye on the situation with a distant glance. How things fared against the shadow was of no concern to him. After all, the man had his own agenda given his client’s… particular assignment. It wouldn’t be long however until the situation prompted action on his own end.

Given Naburo’s condition, the handyman had judged it was time to move. Slinking about the room while maintain the cover of rubble and shadows as found, he’d eventually spring from the perimeter in order to make a dart at the unconscious body sent flying. Grabbing it before it’d even touch the floor, a hefty grunt as made as he counteracted the momentum. Without a moment to spare, the man would weave across the floor, passing the still unsteady kirin that had just risen.

As for his destination? He’d proceed back towards the dungeon in order to escape through the alternative exit.

    /exit

    • Jack snuck in during the fight and tried to go unnoticed.
    • He then grabbed Naburo's limp body as it was sent flying.
    • With Naburo in hand, Jack reentered the dungeon and disappears from sight of left unhindered.
    • PS: Naburo wants me to do this to him.

  8. As the battle raged on, the titan continued to cower behind the overturned table. He uttered what was seemingly nonsense as mental instability continued to seed deeper within the deity’s mind. The voices grew stronger, more repetitive, and joined together in unison as the overwhelming consensus beckoned Briareus to adhere to their will.

Somewhere deep within that cacophony of sound however a lute was strumming. Though quiet and barely discernible, the titan’s mind quickly recognized the sound. Korra? As snippets of music continued to drift within his sea of consciousness, the voices began to ebb away, as if the wave of uneasiness was being drawn back by some unnatural force. It was a calming feeling to say the least, a cozy one that helped Briareus focus.

Finally reopening his eyes and peering about, he’d spot a much different situation from before. Things seemed a bit more… manageable now. It appeared as though the discontent voices had settled down as well upon recognizing the turn of events.

“Korra?” This time the name was repeated in an audible fashion as the silver haired god’s eyes fell upon a familiar figure. A bit of concern glimmered through those blue orbs as he looked on worriedly from behind the table.

    • Bri is doing Bri things. Pay no mind!

  9. Ike watched in awe as his attack brought the shadow down, amazed by a second by his own skill, which probably had just been exhaustion on the shadow's part. He couldn't help it, his lips formed into a sly grin beneath his mask. He hadn't felt a rush like this in a long time, this was what it meant to be an adventurer. It took the blond a moment to return back to his surrounding once again, jumping bac kas the giant started to thrash around violently. A hit from the monster would mean a sudden death at this point, well he could most likely take on more hit but that would be his limit. With him being the only relatively healthy adventurer around, he sure as hell did not want to go down while they were so close to beating the shadow.

Ike took a moment to assess the situation once again, with his enhanced stats it was as if his surroundings were quiet, moving just slowly as if every second lasted a minute. The golem was down, for sure, and it wouldn't be an immediate threat to him anymore, but it would be if it suddenly launched an attack on Ike's wounded comrades. Seeing Korra on the other side of the room trying her best to keep everyone alive, he decided to join up with her. Protecting the support had priority now it seemed, protecting Korra was the sure way to get out of this ordeal with the minimum amount of casualties.

Ike dashed past the monster towards his allies, making sure to stay out of the monster's effective attacking range as he did. However as he passed he noticed the monster was grabing a hold of something, a marble slab, the trajectory in which it threw the stone would indicate the attack was something of a last stand, it was trying to take as many adventurers down with it as it could. The "Careful everyone!" which was uttered by Korra would indicate Ike had been correct. Ike glanced over towards Celsius and Aaron both of which were still in range of the predicted range of destruction. Ike calculated that Celsius would be able to get Aaron out if anything happened, thus he moved over towards Korra, making sure to keep between her and the monster. If however Aaron would have trouble getting away from the monster, Ike would risk his life to help Celsius save Aaron.

    • Ike jumped away from the shadow as it fell down.
    • He'd take a moment to assess the situation.
    • Decided protecting the support, Korra, was the best decision to prevent more casualties.
    • Would be ready to help Aaron escape the zone of impact.
    • He now would be positioned between Korra and the shadow, out of the danger zone.

  10. Shadow Beast

    BGM: Run, Run, Runaway

The Shadow was still coming towards Celsius and Eliah's position, only to come skidding to a halt as the stalagmite embedded in its body finally snapped in two, rather painfully from the look of it. A quick glance around would allow him to take note of another newcomer joining the fray - a woman accompanied by a wolf. From immediate assumption, one could have mistaken her for a hunter of sorts. Instead, it turned out that she possessed healing magicks, something that many of the veterans who were currently wounded could most certainly use. Sadly, Celsius was not well-versed in the Divine Arts, so he could not be of assistance in that regard. Blue eyes quickly surveyed the area to find that most of the people in the group were backing up at the healer's call.

    ""Careful everyone!"

The Chinethrope's ears perked up before his eyes averted upward, finding that the Shadow Beast had thrown up a huge slab of marble upward towards the broken ceiling up above. If that thing were to hit, it could potentially bring it all raining down on the party below. Great. Just great. How convenient for the monster, especially with its Soul Stone practically begging to be broken right there and now. He clicked his tongue in annoyance before turning to take another quick look around. He needed to get out of the area and quickly, unless he wanted to wind up getting crushed beneath the falling rubble. Blue eyes locked on to the Goblin still clamoring after Aaron as it howled out in agony, summoning more of the wretched creatures that were coming to aid its ally. Celsius turned on his heel and immediately bolted towards the pair before lunging his blade towards the Goblin's head, a leg rising to follow up with a kick to separate it and Aaron away from each other.

"Move it or lose it, already!" he shouted, currently questioning why he was risking his neck for not one, but two people right now. Looking back towards the army of incoming goblins only made him growl in annoyance as the situation only continued to grow more dire by the moment. Maybe this would all end if he went for the killing blow right now? Or maybe he'd just wind up getting killed by the oncoming goblin squad? Or maybe he'd pass the goblins and wind up getting killed by the Shadow Beast? Or maybe he'd succeed in killing the Shadow and just wind up getting killed by the rubble? The long and short of it being, there was far too many possibilities for all of this to completely fail if he took too big a risk, or played it too safe. Ugh! This is why he didn't typically work with others! Problems everywhere!

    • Celsius takes a moment to assess the situation.
    • He rushes over to aid Aaron in getting rid of the Goblin upon him.
    • He thrusts his sword forward at the Goblin and follows with a kick in attempts to fend it off of Aaron
    • He mentally gripes about sticking his neck out for other people, but is prepared to do it regardless

  11. Aaron swung wildly as he reached the monster, not really quite sure where 'technique' fell into hurting something like this. Not like he was ever going to be able to block the thing if it ever tried to swing at him, nor was he going to out finesse it in some sort of fancy maneuver. The thing could crush him like a bug if it ever even touched him. Even still, he did his best to keep an eye on the monster's arms, now arm after Naburo managed to sever one, and did his best to keep away from any potential attacks.

For a moment, Aaron thought they had it in the bag. He wasn't going to be taking the monster any less seriously, of course, but it seemed like with reinforcements that they were going to be able to take the thing down without any further complications. It's reaction, however proved him very, very, wrong.

Naburo was sent flying, a wild swing of its tail catching the man and throwing him away. The loud impact of the attack startled Aaron, as his head darted around just in time to watch him zoom past him and away towards the wall. Another loud rumble showed that the monster wasn't done just yet, as it hefted up a massive boulder with its remaining and and chucked it straight up into the already precariously damaged second floor which had been threatening to topple over without the giant rock now being flung at it.

All around, more goblins seemed to be coming out of nowhere, seemingly summoned by the monster's calls. Aaron spun around, weapon at the ready as he grit his teeth and readied himself to be quickly surrounded, even as he looked around desperately for a way out of the situation. There was one possibility, but... He needed to get past the goblins.

A white and yellow blur appeared, blade flashing, as if an answer from the heavens himself, as a young blond boy showed up to fend off the newly summoned foes, also shouting at Aaron to start getting out of there. Aaron looked from the boy, then up to the monster, and then the roof before he made his decision. "Thanks for the save, but I have a plan! Just get yourself out of here, I'll be fine!"

Aaron turned back around and started running around the monster, headed for its severed hand, blasting another Ethereal Overload off at the goblins that continued to show up, simply trying to keep them away, the chants for his spells intermixing with loud curses as he ducked and weaved between them. He leaped atop the hand, running up the wrist and and arm. "Don't trip, don't trip, don't trip-" he repeated, almost like a mantra as he made the jump from the monster's severed arm to its back. "Fuckfuckfuck!"

He'd book the rest of the distance across the monster's back and towards the hole Eliah's earlier spell had put into the thing, diving down the hole, not only for cover from the potential collapsing ceiling, but also attempting to slam his weapon into the monster's already cracked soulstone, and potentially finish the creature off.

    • Fire off Ethereal Overload at goblins to help fend them off
    • Run and climb atop monster's severed arm
    • Run up severed arm and jump off onto monster's back
    • Dive down into the hole in the monster for cover and also try to finish off the soulstone

  12. Dungeon Master

Korra’s magical steed would rush toward Naburo’s direction at Korra’s command, however, it did not find the recently wounded man anywhere. It seemed as though he had vanished the moment Korra’s turned her eyes from him for a few seconds. No longer able to complete its objective, Kirin returned to Korra’s side without Naburo in tow.

Preceding this event, Naburo’s toss was intercepted by an unseen third party. With everything that was going on at the time, the mysterious figure escaped with Naburo without anyone noticing. At this point, Korra was the only one to notice Naburo’s disappearance.

When a small squad of goblins surrounded Aaron, ready to stick knives and swords into his face the moment he tries to touch the Dungeon Shadow, Celsius’ sudden attack took them by surprise. One goblin in particular took a sword through its face before Celsius’ kick helped him pull his sword out from the goblin’s crushed head.

When their attention switched from Aaron to Celsius, Aaron took advantage of their confusion and used Overload to completely disable the goblin in front of him. With that goblin was struck with the spell that robbed all of its senses, it fell to the floor and began swinging its weapon wildly as the opportunity to run up the monster’s severed arm presented itself. Aaron took the chance and was successfully in scaling the monster who was easily 5 times his size where he jumped into the gaping wound on the monster’s back. The force from his downward thrust made use of the crack in the already-damaged soul stone and cleaved it in half.

In that instance, the monstrous body began to morph in form, its flesh expanding, taking on a texture akin to bubbling water. Like an oversized air bubble, these fleshy orbs burst. Within an instant, the monster exploded into seemingly nothing. Leaving behind two fragments of soul stone when combined is about the size of a child. Aaron, however, found himself stuck beneath these fragments, most likely recovering from his shock of being inside the monster moments ago.

The adventurers had a bigger problem, however, as the boulder the Shadow tossed before it was slain struck the remainder of the ceiling. The impact triggered a slow collapse which rumbling should be a clear indication that any adventurer who is currently beneath its zone of impact needs to haul ass.

    Objective:
    • Don't die
    • Escape the zone of impact
    Notes:
    • Final cycle before the raid comes to a close

    Congratulation
The Dungeon Shadow has been slain

  13. To say that Celsius was surprised when Aaron used his magic spell to clear the wave of goblins in one fell swoop was an understatement. With that in mind, he couldn't help but curse under his breath as he followed after the brunette, not quite okay with just letting the guy run in on his own after sticking his neck out for him. However, he would find himself pleasantly surprised in seeing the male successfully run up the shadow beasts' arm and finish it off with a decisive drive of his sword into its Soul Stone, the gem splitting into two halves as the creature exploded in a bubbling mass before disappearing from view, leaving Aaron unconscious beneath two Soul Stone fragments. The Chienthrope actually heaved out a sigh of relief to find the man in one piece. Annoyed... but relieved.

Sadly, the moment of relief was short-lived as the sound of rumbling made his canine ears perk up, his head snapping upward as blue eyes widened at the sight of the already crumbling ceiling slowly starting to come down upon the battle zone. He needed to leave. He needed to leave NOW. His sights came back down to Aaron and the Soul Stone shards, then back up at the ceiling, then back down at Aaron again. If he left now, he would definitely be safe from the falling rubble. It would serve the moron right for running in without any help, trying to play at being the hero or something. It would serve him right! It would... it would.... it would leave a bad taste in Celsius' mouth if he left him there!

"Dammit! Stupid, stupid, stupid!" he practically shouted out, soon running as fast as his legs could carry him towards Aaron and the stones. As soon as he was close, he'd skid to a halt and shove the one shard off of the unconscious brunette, dipping down to bring one of his arms around his shoulders and hoist him up to his feet as best as he could. It was proving to be a bit of a struggle, however, as the guy was heavier than he'd anticipated. Another curse escaped his lips as he felt himself becoming frustrated with the situation in whole, reacting in a way that even he found somewhat surprising of himself.

"Gods dammit!!" he shouted again, a foot sweeping out with all its might and unintentionally kicking the Soul Stones towards the rest of the party. After a bit of grumbling, he would immediately forget about them, soon carrying Aaron's unconscious self towards the other Adventurers as swiftly as his smaller body possibly could. Hopefully they would be able to make it in time. If not? Well... at least he died doing something worth while, he supposed...

    • Followed after Aaron as he cleared the Goblins and sundered the Shadow Beast
    • Chose to save Aaron instead of leaving him behind
    • May have salvaged the Soul Stones without realizing it?
    • Praying to the Gods and Goddesses that Fate be merciful for doing something good for someone else

  14. The next few moments after Aaron had made his plunge seemed to happen in a rapid blur, the memories coming back as a haze to him. He remembered jumping, and then meeting resistance with his weapon; a sharp crack of some sort. After that, he was being smothered by something, black and strange and bubbling up from all around him. And then... Here he was. Laying on the ground with something heavy pressed up against him. He tried to move, but his body wasn't responding. He gave a groan and twitched his fingers as he heard something distant and felt the thing that was pressing down on him being shoved away.

With a sharp hiss of air, Aaron's eyes widened as everything seemed to suddenly come into focus. He was being carried by someone. A small boy with blond hair. Another hiss, this time in pain, as his entire body seemed to complain at once with a sharp stab before it all died down to a more manageable ache. He quickly began to shuffle his feet, trying to help the boy who was carrying him along. By the look on his face, they weren't quite out of danger just yet.

    • Aaron gets rescued

  15. Korra saw the slow collapse, knowing there wasn't a lot of time. Those unconscious and close at hand would be tied to Kirin via the saddle bag's belts. Normally for carrying loads of soul stones, if she could use them to save even a single life, she'd at least make an effort provided there was enough time to save her own as well. She wasn't as worried as the others about a rapid escape, with a mount, she had a definitive advantage when it came to fleeing, instead, once things were settled, leaving ample time for her escape, she'd grab onto Kirin's mane as it began to speed off. The Scaled horse dragging whatever person along like luggage as it made it's escape.

If her route happened to be the same as Celsius and Aaron, Kirin's ruby red gaze would end up falling on them making an effort to snap them up for a speedier escape as well. While Korra shared exhaustion and pain with the creature, the pain and panting she was doing to escape death mattered little compared to the blood she knew the others no doubt spilled, it was at times like this, carting others around, supplies, healing that she was at her best; Her time to shine as she saw it. "This would be a lot faster if I was stronger." Korra couldn't help complain looking down at Kirin, if Celsius and Aaron could be successfully added to the baggage, no doubt Aaron would be carried by the creature's teeth while Celsius would have been grabbed and pulled aboard the Draconian Horse's back. If it was however, too cumbersome for the steed, she'd simply take Aaron and let Celsius run at full speed believing that to be better then leaving them both to die.

    • Tries to rescue people with Kirin
    • Makes an attempt to carry Celsius on Kirin's back and drag Aaron with teeth
    • Flees with efficiency and speed!

  16. As the realisation of the ceiling coming down was starting to dawn upon Ike, he started scanning his surroundings, taking into account the actions the others were making to escape. The two straggled, who were still in the impact zone seemed to be fine to him, both of them making a run for it as Kirin and Korra swept in to rescue them, however the was one problem, Korra seemed unsure whether or not her wounded steed would be able to carry both of the stragglers to safety.

Ike rushed in, his raised agility coming into affect as he charged over towards the group. "Don't overexert Kirin, I can help Celsius if need be." The blond uttered as he followed the group towards the exit. "Just give me the word." He finished, running at full speed behind the group as they fleed the tower, keeping a close eye on Korra and the others in case there was something amiss; and making sure to tune in if there was anything he could do to improve the efficiency of their escape.

    • Stays close to the others, ready to help out of necessary.
    • Attempts to flees the tower with the others.

  17. The Epilogue

The fight concluded spectacularly as the last of the ceiling collapsed, piling upon the destructive heaps already scattered around that area. When the dust clear, the Dungeon Shadow’s black body began to scatter into a million black fragments and slowly dissipated into thin air. The goblins that it summoned with its howls also dissipated as well once their master is no longer alive. Afterward, all that remained was the massive soul stone buried beneath a slab of marble.

For the adventurers who had somehow fend off the creature, this was a time of a well-deserved rest, the time to check their weary body for any injury, and the time to let out a massive breath of relief, knowing they had conquered a difficult challenge and grew stronger. At this time, nearly everyone else had escaped through the underground tunnel and all that remained in the ruined room were Zeus, Briareus, and the adventurers who brought down the monstrosity.

Although he retained a rather serious expression through the entire fight, Zeus’ wrinkled face softened as his mouth curled up into a wide grin. “Oh yes! Good job PUNY mortals! That was a GOOD kill! All of you are going on my wall of glory after this!” Zeus exclaimed in his usual tone of voice. With his temper shifting 180 degree, the storm, which has been dying down completely ceased; the waist-deep water level remained, however. It would take another hour before the Orarian drain could finish processing the flood.

As Zeus had fear, a powerful presence could be felt approaching the door into the tower that’s been completely blocked by rubbles. Out of nowhere, the rubbles disintegrated, forming the path for one of the most influential gods in the Deitic Council, Ouranos. With furrowed brows and a majorly displeased expression on his face, he surveyed the state of the tower and immediately noticed the soul stone hidden away by a slab of marble. From that information alone, he had a very good idea of the thing that transpired here a few hours ago.

Behind the gray-haired God was Odin, a rather youthful looking man with long orange hair and a distinctive eye-patch. "I thought you better than this, almighty," Odin sneered as he cast condescending eyes toward Zeus after he finished surveying the destruction and corpses littered around the room. It appeared that Odin came into the tower with half a dozen of fully armored Valkyries in tow. From their brandished swords and shields, as well as wings, hair, and eyes that was radiating a divine golden color, it seemed that the Deitic Council had enlisted their help to restrain Zeus.

“Zeus, the master of Olympus, you are under arrest for ignoring our law, you will be imprisoned while the rest of the council determine the punishment for your transgression,” Ouranos spoke is an authoritative voice that was similar to Zeus’ divine voice. Without turning back to the Valkyries, he commanded them. “Take him away,” he said as he lifted his hand and activated his divine power to reconstruct the columns that Zeus was holding up so he could remove Zeus from the scene without the entire tower collapsing. The Valkyries spread their wings and glided toward Zeus with their sword in hand. Two of them held onto Zeus’ muscular arms while the other four crossed their swords, forming a diamond shape with Zeus’ head in the center. Just like that, they began to march the almighty out of the tower.

The entire time this was going on, Zeus closed his eyes and accepted his fate, not saying another word or resisting in any way. He knew the situation was dire and any misconduct would result in a calamity the world's never seen. As such, he kept his mouth shut and obediently followed Odin and the Valkyries out.

Before Ouranos leave the tower, he cast a glance toward Briareus's direction. “We are having an emergency Denatus tomorrow, do not hide from me again,” he spoke to the young Titan with a slightly annoyed voice before he turned and disappeared into the smog that had swept across Orario city as if foreshadowing an ominous event ahead.

    To be continued...
