Shopping with a goddess The sound of metal was etched into most passersby ears as the goddess moved through the crowd, most moving away from the large halberd resting on her back covered with a gold cloth to hide the sharpness of the weapon. The black and dark silver metal truly fit Freya’s taste and all but only having armor and a maid outfit was rather constricting in the goddess’s eyes. So that was her reason to go out shopping in the middle of the day dressed like she was ready for a fight. But after a few things had happen she was on alert. For now the goddess was intent on finding some better variety of clothing for herself. Golden eyes scanning through her helmet. ”Maybe i should start with some casual clothing… Then work my way around to dresses and sleepwear last when there are fewer people around…” Her tone was rather faint and what little some could have heard was silenced more by her armor as she walked down the streets of the trading quarters. She had no idea where to find clothing that she liked, but part of the fun when shopping was to go around and look at things for the most part. Slowing her pace as she passed a small food shop and looked over what they had. Her nose was taking in by the spices and scent of the meat on the slow burner at the back of the shop. Looking for the shop owner as she moved her helmet off and spoke calmly. ”I would like one order of the shish kebab and … three bread rolls please.” A calm smile as she placed the gold down for her order and sat down to wait for her food at a bench out front. She could already slightly taste the food just from the smell, it made her slightly impatient as she tapped her left boot to the ground. Thread type: Open, Three max before Invite only. Shopping with a Goddess Small canine-like ears pricked and flittered upon the small blonde's head, blue eyes staring through a glass window as the masses passed him by. Unbeknownst to himself, and likewise for the Lady Freya, he had been standing by a small shop that dabbled in selling rather nicely made outfits of fine cloth materials, embroidered with hints of gold trimming in lovely designs. Some were also not nearly as elegant, but held a grace all on their own using simple patterns and colors that only served to compliment one another throughout. Oddly enough, some of these outfits were also outfitted to serve as armor, said to make the wearer feel lighter than air, and give them a keen edge in the dungeons while looking good all the same. To be able to get his hands on such a thing seemed like naught but a distant dream, however, as the price was sadly well out of his range. Not to mention that he hadn't had much luck when exploring the dungeon as it were. The outfit he had been admiring was pleasantly dressed upon a mannequin, using an elegant pattern that would almost seem similar to that of a butterfly, if one were ever to regard it as such. The fabric was said to be woven from Spider Silk found in the deeper levels of the dungeon, the colors primarily dominating the ensemble in white, while black silks accompanied as sashes and ribbons, two red roses a set of corsages; one placed upon the left-hand side, the other to serve as a lovely piece to accompany the silken white shawl that would drape over the wearers' shoulders. Sensitive ears would flicker every so often as the sound of passerbys caught his ears. "Hey, it's that Chienthrope kid." "Huh? Oh, you mean that girly looking kid who runs the dungeon solo?" "Who would have thought that he was that sort of person? Hahaha!" Blue eyes narrowed as nails raked at the window in front of him. He knew all too well what his status was among the many that lived in Orario City. And it wasn't anything good. He was definitely viewed as the runt among the adventurers, and boy, did it ever sting sometimes. Though what really seemed to irritate him was more-so the fact that they seemed to be making fun of him for his choice in fashion. Like they'd never seen a newbie adventurer pining over what was clearly, of all things, a dress. "Mou... you'd think there was something wrong with a guy having an eye for clothing...", he murmured, his voice barely audible over the hustle and bustle of the crowd behind himself. Though possibly loud enough for the Goddess near him to overhear it. Notes: Click for outfit image @Freya
Shopping with a goddess Freya was not someone who tried to overhear the conversation or comments of those around her. But nobody was ever perfect, and the gods and goddess weren't any different. As the boy spoke beside her it was enough to draw Freya's focus to see what he was talking about. Seeing where his focus was sparked her 'collect all cute things' habit as she got up to get her food before walking closer to the boy. She did not even say anything before she reached for his left hand and tried to guide him into the store. "Excuses me shop owner? Do you have that dress you have on the mannequin in a size to fit the young adventurer here?" Freya spoke in a kind voice towards the women behind the counter before looking to the boy with a smile and light blush as she realized she had likely dragged him in here without even saying her name. "Forgive my rudeness, I just could not help but want to see you wearing that dress. my name is Freya, goddess of war, death, love, and well you know the rest... If you don't then it's fine either way." Freya smiled again as she pulled out a bread roll and began to eat to pass the time. Even offering the boy half the roll so she did not feel rude eating in front of him without at least offering some. A few more moments would pass before the women came back out with the dress in a smaller size to fit the boy as she handed it to Freya. Looking it over she then held it in front of the boy before offering it to him. "I know this might sound like a rude request, but could I ask you to try the dress on for me?" Freya spoke as kindly as she could, her other hand adjusting her weapon, slightly looking like she planned to threaten him if he declined. Thread type: Open, Two more. Tags: @Celsius Snowfang
Shopping With a Goddess His attention was soon drawn away from the dress as he felt something warm wrap around his left hand, soon being pulled away, and into the very stare he had been window shopping at. Blue eyes blinked in confusion before his head turned, finding an exceptionally beautiful woman guiding him inside. At first, he found himself awe struck, as the woman was indeed very beautiful. However, his expression soon turned from awe to that of shock and slight panic. He opened his mouth to speak up, but stopped himself as the woman spoke to the shop owner, her voice warm and kind. "Excuses me shop owner? Do you have that dress you have on the mannequin in a size to fit the young adventurer here?" The young Chienthrope blinked as he watched the women bow before heading into the back of the store, feeling the hand that had practically kidnapped him leave. Blonde brows knitted together into a frown as he stared up at the woman that dragged him into the establishment, introducing herself. "Forgive my rudeness, I just could not help but want to see you wearing that dress. my name is Freya, goddess of war, death, love, and well you know the rest... If you don't then it's fine either way." At first, all he did was stare up at him. However, his eyes nearly popped out of his head as his jaw dropped, a slight sense of panic coming over him as he fully realized the position he was in. He was in the personal presence of one of the Goddesses of Heaven! Maybe he had done something wrong? What on earth could he have done that a Goddess would--- .......wait. Did she say something about the dress... in his size? He didn't have much time to speak before the shop owners came back, indeed carrying the very dress he'd been looking at, just about the right size that would fit him. What came next... no one could have possibly seen coming. "I know this might sound like a rude request, but could I ask you to try the dress on for me?" Huh... Huh? "HUUUUUUUUUUUUH?!" Tags: @Freya
Shopping with a goddess Freya did not understand why the young boy seemed confused. Moving the dress back a bit as she looked over the left shoulder of it and towards the boy. "To unreasonable..." Freya tipped her more to the side before she moved the dress away from the male and looked rather sad. Her imagination would have to do for this she guess before starting to fold the dress up. " Sorry to drag you in here... I'm not used to being among the mortals just yet... only been here roughly two weeks and I seemed to only meet one girl." Freya set the dress down as she recalled her encounters so far with other mortals. Deciding to not waste the trip into the store she began to look around for anything that might fit her and be worth trying on. Freya had a bad sense of fashion to say the least. She just kept picking up cloths that would either hide her figure, or colors that did not match her hair and eyes unless one was looking to be a eye sore when it came to fashion. In her past she always had others helping her with this sort of thing so, picking up another dress with neon colors and looking it over as she signed. "Fashion truly is not my strong suit. I'm also sure the god and goddess of fashion never came down to the mortal world so I can't turn to them..." Her gaze setting on the door for a small window of time as she considered checking a different store for something that caught her interest. Her focus mostly ignoring the black and white dresses with gold trim within the store that would have worked well with her hair and eyes, though with a slightly pale skin tone the whites might need a bit more gold to balance it out. Shopping With a Goddess "Too unreasonable... Sorry to drag you in here... I'm not used to being among the mortals just yet... only been here roughly two weeks and I seemed to only meet one girl." Celsius' expression softened slightly as he recalled that the gods had chosen to live among mortals and share an everyday human life with them. Naturally, one could not expect them to simply have grown accustomed to the do's and don'ts of human society. That, and Lady Freya honestly didn't seem to be all that bad, despite the most bizarre behavior and requests. He heaved out a sigh before opening his mouth again, before his eyes widened at the next thing that happened. Freya had folded up the dress and set it down on the counter, soon wandering off to look at other dresses, possibly make purchases before leaving. That much was made clear with her following words. "Fashion truly is not my strong suit. I'm also sure the god and goddess of fashion never came down to the mortal world so I can't turn to them..." Oy, oy... what was that remark about gods and goddesses of fashion..? It almost sounded like sarcasm to some degree... at least, that was how he first interpreted it. But those thoughts were soon disregarded as his eyes fell on the dress sitting on the counter once more, only looking to Freya as she briefly turned her head towards the door, as though pondering on leaving. His eyes soon began darting between Freya and the dress, his mind buzzing over what he should do. Should he comply and try on the dress? He really wanted that dress... but it was so embarrassing. But if he didn't, then there was no telling what may happen once Freya left. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was something itching at the back of his mind telling him he had to do this. It was do or die! For the lovely dress he'd been eyeballing for the past week!! "W-w-wait! Wait! I'll... I-I'll... try it on..." he said, moving over to the table to take up the dress in his arms. He hugged it to himself as a curtain of crimson gradually stained his snowy-white skin, blue eyes averting slightly as he turned to the women and asked for a changing room. Once they pointed him in the right direction, he would disappear into a room behind a red curtain, the sound of clothes rustling being the only thing heard... well, that and a touch of grumbling here and there. "N-no peeking! You hear me?!" Tags: @Freya
Shopping with a goddess Freya clasped her hands together happily when the boy accept her request, part of her wanted to hug him to thank him for playing along with her but she did not want to make him second guess her now. Moving towards a seat inside the store as she waited for him to finish changing his comment made her blush slightly before laughing. "You have nothing to worry about, it's my other half that would do something like that. not me." Did Freya expect the boy to know about her dual personalities, not exactly but she said the truth and that was all she cared for. Pulling out her food she idly took a bite out of it as she had a small talk with her other half in her mind. 'So first person you meet you won't even let me sleep with or ask them to wear cute cloths, but the second you want to dress up?' - "He looked like he wanted to wear it... I was just helping him out..." She felt a judgmental eye from her other half. But for the time being she switched her gears and focused on the taste of the food. Rather disappointed the meat did not taste as rich as the scent led it to be, but then again she did leave it in a bag for some time. Spinning the wooden stick with her left hand as her focus watched a few cloaked figures passing the store. Right hand touching her halberd as the moved faster and she sighed. "Some mortals truly wish to see a darker side of me I swear." Her focus set on the windows by the time the boy came out in the dress. Thread type: Open, Two more. Tags: @Celsius Snowfang
Shopping With a Goddess "You have nothing to worry about, it's my other half that would do something like that. not me." Uh...what? What was that about her "other half"? Celsius honestly had no idea what she was talking about, but he wasn't going to start questioning a goddess either. Disregarding the strange reply, the young man returned to dressing himself in the outfit the woman had gone through the trouble with in finding one his size. As he slipped into the feminine silks, he found that they were actually very comfortable, very form-fitting. The dress itself was easy enough to put on. It was the ribbons that proved to be a bit of a hassle, save for the ones meant for his hair and his waist. After a bit of struggling with getting the other silks around his arms and pinning the roses on, he'd finally heave out a sigh before exiting the changing room. The outfit as a whole seemed to compliment his feminine appearance. Well, that wasn't quite it, actually. If it weren't for the fact that he was in fact male, many people would probably mistake him for a young woman, a lot more-so than most already did. The shop owner and her assistant glanced over at Celsius, their cheeks lightly flushed with red as they seemed to admire the outcome of such a lovely outfit upon his figure. Seeing such made his own cheeks flare up in embarrassment, despite feeling comfortable in the thing overall. His head turned to come face-to-face with a nearby mirror, getting a chance to truly look himself over in the ensemble. He was surprised to see that he actually looked very nice in it. Especially considering the glaring factor of him being the opposite gender of who dresses were actually meant for. Then again, it couldn't do much harm, right? Small hands reached down to take hold of the dress on either side, holding them out ever-so-slightly as he turned to one side, then the other as he looked himself over on all sides in the mirror. The smallest of smiles graced his lips before quickly fading away, a sigh leaving them as the cold, hard facts came back to his mind. With such a nice dress, there was no way he could afford it, especially considering that it was also H Ranked armor in its own respect with the benefits it provided. It was almost enough to make him regret trying it on in the first place. Tags: @Freya
Shopping with a goddess Freya was not going to allow such a sad face to settle on the male. Walking over to the counter as she set down the gold for the entire set that came with the dress before smiling to the male happily. "Just try not to get it ruined until you can pay for the repairs. I look forward to seeing stories of your adventures traveling around town young one." Freya smiled again as she began to walk out of the building. While she did want to save her gold to build her Familia house, it was better to aid the new adventures, at least that was her impression of the young male. When she exited the building her gaze grew cold as she swung her halberd from her back around her left side as the sound metal clashing with clothed metal rung causing people to look over. At Freya's feet a few shattered arrows rested as she looked towards the roofs to see figures running away. "Mortals truly are different, each and every one of them." Halberd slowly being placed back to her back as she looked to the crowd starring at her. "Nothing to worry about mortals, just a few mischiefs gods trying to play tricks and worry you all." While she did not care if they believed her, they went back to their day or most did the rest just looked at Freya who waved them to shoo. Eyes returned to the roofs as she moved to pick up the arrows. "If they are with that foolish son of mine I swear he is going to be in for more then a few centuries of time out this time." Metal boots clicked against the stone as she started to walk away from the male, not even wondering or thinking to ask of his name. Thread type: Open, Two more. Tags: @Celsius Snowfang
Shopping With a Goddess The sound of metal clinking gingerly upon a flat surface made the Chienthrope's ears perk up once more, Celsius' head turning to find that Lady Freya had paid for the dress set in full. Blue eyes widened at the sight before turning his attention towards the woman, his mouth opening to speak, only to fall short as she had already left the shop within the same amount of time. After staring after Freya dumbfounded for a good minute or so, he'd finally snap out of it and give a slight bow to the shop owner and her assistant before running out of the door, scanning the area for the goddess. After spotting her, he walked briskly in order to catch up with her, a delicate hand reaching out to gingerly tug at the fabric of her clothing to stop her, eyebrows knitted together in a slight scowl as he finally spoke up once again. "Oy... what's the meaning of this?", he questioned with a cynical tone in his voice. It was clear as day that he didn't quite trust the goddess, more than likely due to how he was typically treated by many of the other adventurers who resided within the city. He found this sudden act of kindness to be far too good to be true. That, and he didn't want to feel like he was indebted to a goddess with no way to pay her back. "No one just drops money for a complete stranger so they can wear something nice...what's the catch?" Blue eyes only seemed to harden as they were practically glaring at Freya now, the hand which had taken hold of part of her clothing seeming to tremble in a mix of feared uncertainty as well as a growing anger. But on the off chance that this was a genuine act of kindness, he may find himself taking a very different approach from his usual dealings with people. He would simply have to wait and see what her response was... Tags: @Freya
Shopping with a goddess Gripping Freya's clothed weapon was not the best way to get the goddess's attention, as the young boy would find out as she slowly turned to look downward towards him. Golden eyes flickering with rage as she rose her right hand, fingers tightly closing to form a closed fist as she looked ready to slam him into the ground with the impact of her fist. Hand quickly slamming down before she opened it and began to mess with his hair and ears. Kneeling down as she blushed brightly and smiled to him. "Is it not one of the mortal customs to buy things for others to show kindness. You accepted my out of the ordinary request and put the dress on, the least I could do is buy it since I made you wear such a thing no?" Freya leaned her head to the side as she showed clear signs she was confused over the first part of what she had said. From what she had learned buying people things was a way to show you had been a kind person, not to mention, the blush deepening on her face as she looked at the boy. He was rather cute for his age, and the dress showed that to her even more. Shaking her head a bit to remove the blush before moving her hand off his head and leaning back strait before speaking again. "To be fully honest with you, I just don't like the thought of someone your age going into the dungeon alone or unprepared. Me buying you that H rank armor is my way of showing that." Freya slowly turned before resuming towards the area of the archer that had attacked her. "Another way you could look at it is a investment. You left the impression you just might go far in life. As someone who likes to invest in things before others do consider that a way I might use you to gain fame later as the person who helped get you your start if you wish to see me as evil." Freya looked over her shoulder calmly towards the boy. "No matter how you wish to see my actions, what has been done is done, and time will tell if I was simply using you for my own gain, or if I truly do love to see cute boys in dresses, shame you had not been eyeing that maid outfit though." Freya looked toward a small maid and butler clothing store with a smile before resuming her walk now into a alley. Thread type: Open, Two more. Tags: @Celsius Snowfang
Shopping With a Goddess To say that the boy was caught off guard upon seeing a drastic change in Lady Freya's eyes was an understatement. Within the brief moment she had been moving as slow as she was, Celsius felt a familiar pressure practically flooding from her being. A pressure that filled him with a feeling of dread, his eyes widening, pupils dilating as a shiver ran up his spine. His fair skin paled as he watched her hand slowly rise, seeming much larger than it actually was as it began to descend upon him. He himself, was completely frozen on the spot, clearly fear-stricken as a single thought seemed to come to his mind as this all happened. Death However, he would snap out of his terror-stricken trance as he felt a gentle hand upon his head, Freya's expression having softened to something much more gentle, a curtain of crimson upon her features as she spoke to him once again. "Is it not one of the mortal customs to buy things for others to show kindness. You accepted my out of the ordinary request and put the dress on, the least I could do is buy it since I made you wear such a thing no? To be fully honest with you, I just don't like the thought of someone your age going into the dungeon alone or unprepared. Me buying you that H rank armor is my way of showing that." Celsius blinked a moment at her words, finding the sudden change between personalities rather disturbing. However, she did pose a point in the fact that H Rank armor would help him in the dungeon greatly in terms of surviving. Well, that and he'd look really good while doing so. Blue eyes followed Freya's turning head, soon looking up towards the direction of where something probably should have been, but would find nothing but the rooftops of the many buildings around them. His attention came back as Freya began to speak again, a bit more calmly than before. "Another way you could look at it is a investment. You left the impression you just might go far in life. As someone who likes to invest in things before others do consider that a way I might use you to gain fame later as the person who helped get you your start if you wish to see me as evil. No matter how you wish to see my actions, what has been done is done, and time will tell if I was simply using you for my own gain, or if I truly do love to see cute boys in dresses, shame you had not been eyeing that maid outfit though." Ooookay. Now Lady Freya was starting to sound a bit weirder than she already had. All of this talk about fame, and good and evil, and using others and... It made his head spin when he thought about it, honestly. If anything, he could agree with her taste in clothing as she mentioned the maid outfit in the next store over. But aside from that, this goddess seemed a bit... odd, to say the least. He soon figured perhaps this would be the best point for him to move on about his own day as she left, Celsius looking down at himself as he looked over the dress that was gifted to him once more. The smallest of smiles curled on his lips, a slight blush staining his cheeks. Maybe it would be best to head home to change into his Adventurer's Gear? He was in a good mood, and perhaps a run through the dungeon might yield good fortune after this interesting event? Yes. That seemed like a good idea. He turned on his heel to walk in the opposite direction, only passing one last glance towards the direction of Lady Freya before continuing onward. Tags: @Freya
