This system of mine relies upon finding crafting ingredients, for the sake of easing the stress ingredient would be given when people ask for a QUEST COMPLETION REWARD depending on how hard the task was along with how well the people roleplayed. At the most they will only be given one ingredient each (unless there’s a skill that effects this, in this case 2). Each of these ingredients will have effects based on rank that will help determine the the finishing product when the person roleplays to create them in a thread. An example of this would be a [d]rank silk with the effect of (fire resistant). If one were to combine this with other ingredients that would make sense, they may create a fireproof cape, while at the same time they may use it to create a fire emitting glove with metal with the effect of emitting heat. The choice of what will be the mod believes can be dropped/found within the quest that the people do. Low ranked items however will not possess effects. All ingredients will have ranks to help decide what they can be used to craft, as long as the craftsman has three of ingredient of the same rank or higher they can use them to create equipment with the same rank as the lowest ingredient. I.E G+F+H crafted into a helm would be an H helm. Now when a user crafts, what they craft will be up to them as long as it makes sense with the ingredients used and the effects they hold. Like using something to do with wind to create a weapon that emits noise makes no sense whatsoever. There may be limitations on what they can make based upon whether they have a CRAFTING DEVELOPMENT ABILITIES for whatever they are trying to make, perhaps they can’t make any magical items without it. And once they have fully created it in a thread they can add the post who they are giving it to in there and they can edit the item into their profile. If you do want to be secure about things, you could have a thread somewhere for people to post in when they have finished crafting something along with what they have crafted.
The idea of this is mainly to allow people to have more creative control over what they can make, as long as their imagination can think of a way to make it along with it making sense! After all, that's the fun thing about being someone in the crafting industry based on my numerous attempts of origami along with the few times i've roleplayed a blacksmith on sites.
