Every Inch of Perfection [Closed]

Discussion in 'Trade Quarters' started by Korra Quinn, Oct 22, 2016.

  1. It was just another day for Korra, her usual route of surfing through town to search for dream girls was going as well as it usually did. Coming up empty handed was nothing new for Korra, but it was always a little grating on her soul. She'd endeavored with all her heart to find love, as much of it as possible, love was what she lived for, what she strove and struggled towards. The affectionate feelings of another person, the softness it brought, the warmth in heart and touch, Korra's thoughts drifted that way making her sigh a little reluctantly. She had a small amount of luck, but knowing just how many people were out there in the world waiting for her she couldn't help feeling that she could be doing more.

Unfortunately, all of Korra's time couldn't just be spent watching cute girls and following them through town, instead, Korra had to find something to survive with. This brought her to a lingerie shop, one most Gods frequented, but humans also occasionally visited the place for comfortable under wear. Korra herself didn't use them, to the girl who lived her life as a homeless vagrant there was no reason for such pleasantries. All she needed was her burlap saddle bag to sleep in, Kirin's warmth and a set of clothes she was always seen in. The reasons he came however was because even if Korra didn't wear such fancy support and made due with a tight top instead, she had the means to provide that support for others.

In her arms she carried an incredibly soft and comforting material. Those who saw it might believe it to be a fancy cotton or silk, it's color was grey and it had a lustrous sheen to it that made it almost sparkle in the light. This material was one Korra herself was very fond of, and it had been used to make a majority of her equipment as well. It's origins however weren't as mysterious as the sensation it gave others; It was cut from Kirin's mane, the creature's fuzzy neck furs were very soft and comforting and as a material few others could compete with the Draconian Horse's mane. This was simply one of the many ways Korra survived with Kirin's help, offering it at the counter for a reasonable price, she'd be all set for meals in the coming days she thought.

  2. Parvati's clothes were starting to smell. Though she was used to travelling in dirty and smelly clothes, she wanted, for once, to wash them clean. But to do that she needed to buy new ones. Her first destination? The lingerie shop. Her underwear needed the most cleaning due to her womanly ways and she needed extra pairs. All of hers, save for the one she was wearing, were soiled.

She heaved a sigh as she entered the shop. She wasn't embarrassed to be here, far from it in fact. If she needed something, she would certainly go get it without any shame whatsoever. So what if others commented about where she was going? She didn't care, their opinion didn't matter. Especially if they were men. She grimaced at the thought. Men shouldn't be the one to call the shots in this country, it just wasn't right. She would rather kill herself then let a man rule her. She shook her head to dispel the thought, the beads covering her face clinking against each other. Right, back to business.

It wasn't long before something caught her eye right from the corner of it. She looked over from browsing the wares and raised an eyebrow at the girl carrying something in her arms. Was she an Amazoness as well? Perhaps she could go greet her. She frowned. But first, underwear. Maybe some bras too. She grabbed the ones that seemed most comfortable and began to move to another section, though she made it so that she was near the girl.

  3. With the materials set down on the counter, Korra lifted an arm to wipe her forehead, though the load wasn't more then she could deal with, she was still someone who wasn't used to heavy lifting. Her figure was lithe with gentle and modest curves, her style made her seem very much like an amazoness though, no doubt Parvati's assumption wasn't without cause, Korra certainly bared a striking resemblance after all. Upon closer inspection though, Parvati might notice Korra lacked a deal of muscle, instead her frame was incredible soft and supple even on the eyes, she gave off a soft and gentle atmosphere that often welcomed relaxation and calm in others. It would be hard to picture her as someone who would frequent the dungeon, but she was still one of the most qualified super rookies of the era.

After setting everything down and getting it sorted out, Korra's gaze turned towards Parvati, looking up at her a quick grin spread across her face, her gentle gaze swept the girl up and down as if analyzing every detail about her. Unfortunately this was standard for Korra, no matter who as long as they were new Korra would assess them closely, but her mellow gaze stopped on the things Parvati held in her hands making her perk her brow. "You're here for pleasure or work?" Korra asked cocking her head, not simply from the girl's selection, but her stature as well. Korra's well focused and finely tuned gaze wasn't merely for perversion, but as a supporter she'd gotten quite good at reading people's hands as adventurers. The muscle definition of what Parvati exposed as well as her frame told her that the woman wasn't just here for a vacation and friendly visit to take in the sights.

"If you plan on doing a lot of moving around, I'd recommend tape instead--" Korra explained reaching down to her own business trying to give herself a squeeze while Parvati watched her. "--See? It doesn't move or get in the way when you use wraps." She tried to explain and offer. No doubt she'd offer much more, but moving one step at a time wasn't a problem for Korra who's grin widened from the possibly provocative suggestion. It was around here that another girl probably would have hit her, Korra had long since braced herself for a violent reaction, but her advice was earnest and honest.

  4. Parvati could see from where she was that the girl had a much more subtle frame than a regular Amazoness'. She also noticed that this one wasn't muscled either. That got her to raise an eyebrow for a moment, for she still thought the other girl was an Amazoness. But what Amazoness didn't train there body? She didn't know.

She turned her head to address the young woman. "I am here to buy things," she said in her thick Telskyura accent, "My clothes are spoiled and I need to buy new ones." She once more raised an eyebrow when Korra talked about tape. "Ah, tape," she said once the girl had explained, "Seems helpful, might work. Are you from around here, Amazoness?"

  5. Korra couldn't help a mellow giggle at the girl's words, coming to a store for a purchase was obvious and clear, that certainly wasn't what she was asking. Korra was more concerned about the nature of what the girl was looking for though since she seemed to be aiming for comfort over performance. Without being able to afford comfort, Korra opted for performance with her clothing, which was why she seemed to be concerned for this girl who matched her same modus operandi of performance and efficiency. Being told about clothes spoiling though made Korra's head tilt in confusion, clothes spoiling was new for the girl, after all, Korra had been wearing the same outfit since her youth only making changes and edits to it so it would change with her sizes.

The reason for the confusion however might have been simply because a majority of Korra's clothing was made from Kirin's scales or woven hairs. It might be a lot more durable then your typical outfit. "Spoiled... Like food spoils? Do clothes work that way?" Korra confessed her confusion oblivious to these things that someone wealthier then her might have felt was natural. Her confusion wasn't strong though, instead like the rest of her it was very mellow and one note, a musing hum came from her lips as she considered how interesting spoiled clothing might be. The question about being from around here though made Korra shrug in response. "I go where ever the women are, this town was where I was raised though I guess, but I'm not an amazoness, I just get a lot of sun." Korra confessed lifting her sunkissed arms knowing that she was perhaps tanned enough to fit the role, but their ancestry was just too different.

  6. @Korra Quinn

"Ah, is spoiled not the right word? My apologize, I do not speak this country's language well," Parvati said as she gave the girl before her an apologetic look. She then blinked when the girl said she wasn't an Amazoness. "Ah, I thought you were one like me. You look just like us." She really did, but she wondered how often she went outside if she was that tanned. Oh well, she'll figure that out later, maybe.

"I would love to talk lots more, but I need to pay for these," the Amazoness said, raising the underwear a bit to show her that she still needed to pay for them, "One moment, please." She went into the section where the bras were and began to browse through the shop's wares. Some of them she didn't really understand how they worked, with those thin straps that were supposed to hold her breasts up. She frowned as she tried to figure out what to buy before grabbing some that appealed to her and making her way back towards the girl. "So you are from here? I am not a native, as you can see. I am from Telskyura," she said as she went over to pay.

  7. Hearing the girl's words, Korra brought a hand to her chin, with a gentle stroke she mused at what she could have meant instead. "Dirty? Or damaged maybe?" She spoke looking the girl up and down as if trying to scrutinize her clothing. If the girl didn't push her away, she'd even go as far as touching the fabrics to test and see. Though this wasn't the first time she was mistaken for an amazoness, naturally, she chuckled sweetly and shook her head back. "No no, though I get that a lot indeed. I've been living outside since I was young, so naturally I'll end up like this." She spoke holding her arms up once more with a relaxed but jokingly helpless sigh as if nothing could be done about it.

Being told about Telskyura though, Korra's head cocked, bringing her hands together, a warm grin came to her face. Naturally as a bard she knew a lot about the outside world even if she hadn't ventured out, she heard stories and tales. Telskyura was no doubt a place she'd desperately want to visit in the future, she was very sure of that for a variety of reasons. "I see~ I'm sure that sort of place would be interesting to visit for me. It seems right up my alley at least with all of the strong powerful women." She said happily sinking into her imagination briefly before glancing back to Parvati. "Then you're on a pilgrimage then? Or an escapee?" She asked wondering if Parvati had left home to look for prey and kidnapping purposes or was trying to escape that sort of Familia ruled lifestyle.

  8. @Korra Quinn

"Dirty, yes, that is what I can say my under clothes are," Parvati said as she went over to pay, "I am sorry for mistaking you. Good to know that you go outside often. Sun helps make warriors, or so my mother would say." She fished around her bag for some valis to pay for the underwear and bras she grabbed. The sales lady rang up how much valis she needed to pay, which was more than what Telskyurians paid. She still marveled on how Orario's economy worked.

"Pilgrimage? I am afraid I do not know that word," she said apologetically, "But I did not run from my country. My mother said to bring back a dragon if I wanted her fortune. She also said to bring back a man." She frowned as she remembered her mother, Indila's, words. "But I am not very interested in men. Girls, I have interest in." Pause. "You like women too, yes?"

  9. Korra wore a musing expression, hearing that she said dirty though, Korra's eyes briefly flashed with thought nodding along with the woman's words. "I see I see, then you don't need them any more do you?" She asked with a very bright grin, though when Parvati mentioned the sun being good for warriors, Korra couldn't help a sweet giggle. Korra was definitely not a warrior type, she was a supporter, endeavoring to be the princess that warriors rescued and fought to protect. Her dream was naturally a collection of able girls adventuring with her while she was the princess on the white horse... Even as she thought about explaining that warm image came to her mind without skipping a beat. "No no, I'm sadly not a warrior type either; I'm a supporter, healing, carrying burdens. You name it, purely companionship~" She explained with a warm grin.

Though hearing her talking about a pilgrimage, Korra cocked her head seeming a little surprised, but her answer wasn't much different from the pilgrimage she'd heard of anyway. Rather then pushing the issue, she chuckled smoothly nodding back. "I'd heard a bit about our home and the talk about bringing guys back-- boring~" She said waving a hand as if trying to flick the idea aside. Though being asked if she liked women, Korra's smile stretched as wide as could be, her toothy grin practically shining as she answered. "I am~ Very much so! Though it's always a struggle to find women who will like me, I've never stopped since my search began as a child-- And I'll keep searching for women who like me until the very end~" She explained trying to punctuate her words with a mellow giggle. The thought of the dragon still weighed on her mind though, rolling her head her mind drifted to Kirin for a moment. "A Dragon though... I happen to know one, though it's a bastard, I wonder if that still counts?"

  10. @Korra Quinn

"Perhaps I still need them, I do not know," Parvati said as she looked down at her new clothing she just bought. She should probably stash that somewhere to free her hands. She began stuffing the clothing into the bag she was carrying as she continued the conversation. "Ah, supporter? They help with gathering, yes? Very important, I assume." She frowned. "Though perhaps not as important as adventurer, I do not know." She shrugged it off. Oh well.

"You continue your search for women? Since you were a child?" she asked, a little surprised that the woman worked to finding girls since she was a child. However, she gave a curt nod when she mentioned she'd keep searching. "Yes, do not give up! Surely someone will come to like you, right?" She blinked in surprise when she mentioned she knew a dragon. "Hm? Perhaps I won't slay your dragon friend if you are friends with dragon."

Something seemed to have occurred to her at that moment. "Ah! Forgot to say my name! I am Parvati. To whom am I be speaking with, supporter?" She cocked her head to one side as she asked. To be honest, she should've asked for her name first before she started the conversation. That's what usually happened to her, but she just caught so into it that she forgot to ask.

  11. Korra grinned back knowing that there were many who looked down on supporters, it was only natural after all, supporters weren't people who stayed in the spotlight, they weren't people who became famous on stage. Supporters worked in the back, away form the lights, in the shadows and off stage in the wings providing for adventurers. There was no doubt that Supporters couldn't work without adventurers, but adventurers wouldn't be able to perform without support. This was how Korra came to think at least, looking up at the woman, Korra's reply was coy. "Supporters help the adventurers, but adventurers wouldn't make it very far without a supporter. Who would carry all of the equipment? Manage the battlefield? Keep track of the route taken and map the way back when the dungeon constantly changes? You think Adventurers would do these things?~" She asked cocking her head. "Carrying equipment would drag an adventurer down, there's no time to manage the battlefield when you're in the middle of it, and keeping track of your position when you're being twisted around by the fight isn't any good isn't that right?" She offered with a musing smirk.

Parvati's surprise was in turn surprising to Korra though, Korra knew from a young age exactly what she wanted in life, her dream had been firmly etched into her ever since she was a youth looking for love, to be a princess like in story books. While she'd look for a prince on a white stallion in a perfect world, Korra's interest wasn't in nobility or males, instead, a knight or strong backer was enough for her in her childhood. She didn't need nobility if she could have warmth and safety. While she couldn't find it when she needed it most in her childhood, she found Kirin which held her over to the present. That dream never dying. "Naturally~ Love doesn't restrict by age dear, though it might restrict other activities, the heart isn't something that can be bound up so firmly mm?~" She offered with a sly smile, though hearing someone else cheering her on, she puffed up her chest proudly. It was clear she wouldn't stop or be deterred. She lived for the singular purpose of finding her 'knights', her life's mission wouldn't stop for anything.

Hearing about Dragons though, Korra laughed, enough to hug her stomach before shaking her head. "Kirin's very spirited, but he's not so loyal to his bastard parents. Everyone in his family is the same, those True dragons are pretty foul creatures you know?" Korra admitted with a warm grin, though she indeed had a great deal in common with those creatures in truth, she wasn't someone who found them very appealing no matter how well she attracted their descendants to her side. "I'm Korra though, I can do a great many things though, a bard and a supporter you could say." She added with a bright grin.

  12. @Korra Quinn

"Ah yes, very true," Parvati said, nodding in agreement, "Fighters need to always be on guard. Reaction time must be quicker in order to fight properly, and anything that slows you down is no good. That is what my mother told me and that is what my teachers told me too." She blinked, realizing she basically said what Korra had said. Though maybe she would understand it, since she now knew Parvati was a foreigner. She pretended like the redundancy never happened.

"Mm, I do not know what love is like, having never found it myself," she said, putting a hand to her chin and rubbing it in thought, "Love must be passionate, yes? Though family love is different. One has to fight for family love." That was all she had ever known, fighting for dominance over her sisters to earn her mother's love. If there were other ways for family to get along, she didn't know it.

The Amazoness' eyes lit up at the mention of bard. "Ah, a story singer? What songs have you sung, Korra?" She liked the way Korra's name rolled off her tongue. It seemed almost...well, she couldn't exactly describe it. Her accent made it sound very exotic, at least, to her. "Perhaps you can sing a story for me sometime, story singer?" She knew music through her sister, Durga, who wanted to be more classy than her other sisters. The only type of music she liked was when people sang a sort of story.

  13. Korra nodded back to Parvati's assessment, it seemed this girl understood the importance of supporters, a very rare trait, others would simply think they could just be stronger and everything would be fine. That often led to tragedies or sad stories, ones that Korra knew all too well from hearing ghost stories of first timers. "That's right~ It's good you know, it would be sad if something bad happened, there are so many people who either go unprepared or too eager to prove themselves that they forget important things like having an extra pair of eyes."

Though hearing her talking about 'love' as if it was passion, Korra couldn't help her smile cramping briefly. Someone who's never felt love? Blasphemous, an affront to everything that Korra stood for, women all over should feel love, if not from someone else, then certainly from her! "No dear, the two are fundamentally different; Passion is a blazing inferno, one that will consume and devour-- Excitement and Awe. Love is mellow, luke warm but swallows everything; Like the sun it's so far but so big and so gentle, providing life and light-- Deep and Lasting~" Korra's outlook was perhaps a little too poetic, but she felt she got the differences across, they were like the same creature but just with different moods and intensities. "Love is so much stronger then Familia Love; It's so much deeper because you can't chose your family, but you can chose your lover." She explained with a warm grin.

Seeing the Amazoness was interested in stories though, Korra chuckled stroking her chin in thought as she nodded her head softly. "I sing a lot of songs, some about love even, some about war, I know a few tragic stories. Most of my songs are happy though, I enjoy spreading happiness and love then anything else after all." She explained with a sweet smile, her stories were all nostalgic to an extent after all, each one coming from someone who helped her at some point. "Of course though, if you have time, I was thinking of finding a place to settle down tonight, I could sing you a nice story if you don't have a place to go back to." She explained, it was a lovely way to end the day after all.

  14. @Korra Quinn

Parvati just stared at Korra as she talked about love. It made no sense to her, what she just said. "Love can be that strong?" she asked, "Then I have never known it. Perhaps there is a way for me to know it, but for now the path is closed." But she got the feeling that she would be able to learn that kind of love somehow. She just wasn't sure how.

"Ah, so that's what songs you sing," she said, "I prefer songs of fighting and war myself. They have so much...activity to them. Is that the right word? But happy songs are good too, especially for sleep." Though to be honest, she found such songs to be really boring. She wasn't going to say that out loud, though. "Ah, I just stay at the inn. Though I would not mind following you to your home. Is it near?" She paused before shaking her head. "Never you mind, it most likely is not."

  15. Korra only chuckled at the woman's knowledge of love, in a way it was amusing and cute, but it was also something worthy of a measure of pity. In all of Korra's tales of love or passion love was always something that carried incredible power and potential. "Of course it is~ Love is powerful enough to do more then just effect your feelings, it's a very powerful feeling, when it sinks in deep enough the world can seem clearer, body feel stronger and faster. A feeling like that changes a lot of things you know?" She explained with a warm and pleased smile since Love was something she pursued and strove for.

"Fighting and war has such a quickened tempo, there's more energy for sure~ Those I even use in the dungeon, so I can't say I don't understand~ I know a variety though, it wouldn't do if a bard wasn't versatile in their songs right?" She offered knowing it would grow bland quickly if the music never changed it's pace. Though asked about her home, Korra gave a vague shrug in response, her home was technically everywhere and anywhere after all. "I don't have a genuine home, I sleep under the stars in truth." She answered, but when the girl commented that it probably wasn't, Korra only rolled her shoulder in answer. "I suppose it depends on where I want to settle down for the night mm?"

  16. @Korra Quinn

Parvati blinked at Korra's explanation of love. "Love makes you stronger?" she asked, "I am sorry, I do not understand. How does it make one stronger?" If love could make her stronger, then she would be up for it. Maybe it would be something that she had that her sister's didn't have, like her magic. She couldn't help but flash a smirk at that thought before her face returned to its more neutral look. That would be one way to one up her sisters, that was for sure. She wasn't sure how her mother would react to it, though. Oh well, she'll sort the whole thing out later.

"Mm, story singers should sing different things, that is true," she agreed, "Too tasteless without, I believe is the correct word?" She remembered the first time she met a bard from a different country. Granted, she was male, so she wasn't really into him, but his words reached to her very soul somehow. She didn't even understand the language he sang in, but what mattered was the rhythm and the sound, right?

"Ah, so you sleep outside? I have too, when I started travelling. Took me some time to get used to sleeping on ground rather than on bed." She was actual pretty thankful for sleeping in a bed now because of that. If there was one thing Indila didn't taught her children, it was how to live while travelling. "Perhaps I can offer you to stay at the...inn I think it's called? Yes, inn, I am in." Pause. "Unless you like sleeping outside."

  17. Korra chuckled with her arms up as if indicating herself in answer to the girl's question, after all, love was the reason Korra's magical power was so unreasonably high. "On paper, I'm the strongest rookie in the country." She admitted without hesitation, but made it rather clear that this was only on paper. She certainly had a very glorious role as the one with the most threatening status, but her potential to actualize 'power' and 'strength' was not up to par. "My Magic is so strong precisely because of love; The closer I get to someone, the more feelings are mutual, the closer the bond, that's how I grow at least." Korra admitted with a vague shrug, after all, for Korra love mater her stronger in a literal sense, but for others, it was more spiritual strength... Naturally she didn't explain that quite so much though.

Though hearing the woman understand, she nodded back simply, it was obvious that things would become stale and repetitive if someone didn't expand their repertoire and broaden their horizons they wouldn't be able to hold anyone's attentions after all. "That's right~ Everyone should have a little bit of everything right? I only enjoy Love the most myself-- I'm sure you can understand why though now~" She said with a sweet chuckle feeling that Parvati would be able to understand a little even if not absolutely.

Glad to know that Korra wasn't alone in sleeping outside though, Korra flashed a warm smile in response, the girl seemed to have a hard time at it though. "Ah, the inn wouldn't be so bad if it's with you." She said leaning towards Parvati, naturally while she had some playful intentions, Korra was one who viewed matters of the heart above those of matters of the flesh. "Though i think you might like it outside if you learn how, I wouldn't mind teaching you that someday." She offered with a kind smile knowing that outside was likely where she would be most at home.

  18. "Mm...I see..." So love really did make one strong. It certainly made Korra's magic strong. Maybe if she found love, her magic would become stronger too. At least, that was her reasoning for it. Maybe the supporter could teach her about love. Now is not the time, though, she thought to herself as she tried to bring herself out of her thoughts and back to reality.

"Yes, yes, I can see how much joy love brings you," Parvati said, nodding sagely. She paused at the offer of Korra helping her learn how to sleep outside. The offer was...she wasn't sure what to make of it. "Hm..." She took some time thinking before she spoke. "Perhaps you may. I want to learn many things from you, both good and bad. I shall stay by you if need be." This is only to learn, that's all, she told herself. But maybe something more would spring out of it. No one knew.

    @Korra Quinn

  19. Parvati's reaction made her grin brightly, happily even, love was certainly an important joy to her, it was her muse and her motivation after all. "It does bring me a lot of joy~ Everyone has a purpose in life after all, and love-- Even the pursuit of love is my purpose, I'm very sure of it." She said with sweet laughter, it was something she could talk about and discuss forever.

Though Parvarti's affirmation caught her off guard making her perk her brow, she wasn't used to people accepting her ideas that could easily derail into things that weren't exactly normal. For a moment she was awed but quickly her grin grew radiant and dazzling as she threw her arms up happily. "HAHA! Lovely then, I'll be sure to show you a nice trick then." She explained with an eager tone as she reached out towards Parvati offering a soft and slender hand, as if she intended to take the woman's hand and go find a suitable place right now since they seemed to have the time.

  20. @Korra Quinn

Parvati, surprisingly, found that laugh to be beautiful. It seemed that whatever she just said had made her day. But the Amazoness wasn't sure what exactly she said to bring about the laughter. She looked at Korra's shocked expression before she grinned. It reminded her of a child getting a present, like a giant spider the size of a human head.

The Amazoness blinked in surprise when the supporter held out her hand. Was she supposed to take it? She didn't know the customs of this country very well, but she assumed it was like a warrior helping a person stand up after a brutal defeat. She took the hand lightly, still unsure of what to make of this gesture.
