Letting the Children Play... (Solo or Invite only)

  1. Memories of Ten Years Ago

The gods, heaven, hell, everything in between. Even the stars that lied beyond the sky. Yes indeed, even space was her dominion. So ironic then that she was but a forgotten existence, or maybe even a non existence if that made sense. Deep down, the primordial chaos was but a empty void. It was only through the chaos that it became 'her'. The being known as Khaos. It was why she yearned for it. Why she needed it at all times. That which came from her, was exactly what she needed to feed her and bring her relevance as anything at all. It was for this reason that she allowed herself to be the distorted existence she was today, and why she always pushed and pulled at her spawn to emit more chaotic energy. The more 'life' in a being, the better. Even if it was brought out through suffering, which always brought the most chaotic energy from them.

Unfortunately, there were others. Other beings that felt THEY had the right to play the role of origin. On top of that, her own children were becoming less and less interesting. Khaos was unable to create more gods to entertain her, as she began to be a parasite that fed off of the energy of her creations. She too lost her ability to spawn more beings of divine level into existence. Another method to entertain herself and deal with these false origins would have to be done...

Khaos reached out to several of her children of the Greek pantheon. She spied on them and learned that they too were becoming bored of the old ways. She began to consider options with those that would be desperate enough to actually converse with her again. It would seem that even the deities of other pantheons. Those that she had never fed upon before and never before felt their emotion and the delicious taste of their 'life'. They also wanted to move to a new era. So that things could become less obvious and more random. More like the lives of mortals, where every new day could be a new victory, defeat, joy or even their death.

It did not take long for a concept to become prominent. All the gods becoming as a mortal. Living like them and seeing their lives, feeling their flesh, eating their food. Yes, this was perfect... The goddess of chaos could not have hoped for a better idea. It was finally time at last for the beginning of game that could finally feed her eternal void. She pushed for it and spread the word to everyone who would hear her voice. Incredibly, even those outside her jurisdiction were beginning to grow interested in the concept. It was only after it was on nearly every god and goddess's tongue that a grand council was held. Where the decision would be made official....

Khaos remained as she was, a untangible entity. She simply listened in on the divine conversation. Her vast cosmic face would be a huge devious grin if only she was able to be seen.

  2. The debates were so long. The petty little spawn that were called gods ranted and raved. Considering different ideas and ways for the descent to work. Days passed and Khaos was starting to think they all might just destroy themselves during a few arguments. That would have been truly magnificent! Unfortunately that did not come to pass and it was decided to seal the gods power in order to live among the humans. Personally Khaos was not thrilled by the sealing aspect. Her hope was for the gods to simply run amok on the Earth and enjoy the last portions of the current cycle. Sigh... curse it!

In the end it proved to be not as bad as she had thought since they were going to create a form of factionalization among the mortals. These familia brought a non tangible smirk to Khaos's face. Very good, she could work with that. Very much indeed! Then came the rule of gods not fighting each other except through wargames... urgh. These gods were pissing Khaos off with their dullness. No one was asking for HER opinion! She was the origin! Ungrateful... but it didn't matter. Khaos needed this so much. It would finally give her a way to be among not just the gods, but the mortals as well. This usually only occurred at the great reset. This new concept would allow her to experience the chaos of life, that which came from her void and made her what she was. This cycle would be well remembered in her vast memories. It was all worth the slight inconveniences. The primordial being was fully capable of accomplishing things without simply hacking the cosmos to do it. It was actually a amusing challenge to her for to have to play mortal.

As the gods began to leave for the mortal world with each passing day. Khaos began making her own plans. The gods were so preoccupied with the heaven's management and making sure nothing bad happened during the descent for themselves that it was Khaos's chance to descend her way... with a bang! It would take a incredible amount of energy to condense a vast mass of sentient chaos like her into a small meek mortal body, so what did they expect right? If any complained oh well... it was not her fault the metamorphosis worked that way for her.

  3. As normal a day as any in the mortal realm. It was a beautiful morning and the people of earth went about their day as usual. Birds chirped, bunnies hopped the fields, gods walked among men....yep perfectly normal for the new age that followed after the descent of the gods. It was only six months since the first group of gods arrived. More and more began to join in with each passing month. The initial shock had passed mostly, but the people were still getting used to the new look for the dungeon and the Tower of Babel. Still things were starting to go much more smoothly now.

It would start with a single black cloud. Nothing too strange. Then a bunch of small black clouds began to pop up all around the world. They began to gather over the lands surrounding Orario City. They became a massive black hole that kept growing in size. No longer was it mistaken for a cloud. It was more like a tear in the sky itself. A void that threatened to swallow everything into it. Wind picked up, animals began to act unpredictable, the tides became hazardous, torches and campfires began to shoot up into long pillars of flame, then the earth shook. The event was far more frightening than the actual damage it caused luckily. It was as if the elements that made up everything were struggling to maintain as they were. A unseen force disturbing them from a unknown place. Perhaps it was the 'vast hole in the sky'?

The mortals were terrified but the gods were angry. Who was causing this? Only a god could cause such disorder! It took the words of the oldest set Greek pantheon gods to bring up the one responsible. Khaos.... she was making such a show of herself with her descent. It was argued that maybe she was planning to begin the end of the cycle too soon. The other pantheons scuffed at the thought, for many of them their was no cycle.

The chaotic episodes around the world continued for nearly 24 hours. Then things began to subside... only to really get strange. A rainbow of lights started to converge upon the black hole in the sky. It began to fill with into a psychedelic blob. Warping and morphing in the sky. Then, just like that it imploded into itself. With a thunderous boom that shook windows and made people around the world's ears pop. It was gone. Everything was normal with bunnies and all. As if it never happened.

Alone on the main road that led to Orario City. There stood a young lady, about twenty years old give or take. Her clothing was nothing like what most girls wore in these times. Her hair was blonde and seemed to almost blow about in the wind with it's own life. Her eyes opened and took in the sunlight for the first time with actual human eyes. Her eyes... they were the tell tale sign that she was far from normal. Like pits of madness that would gobble you up. A content smile formed on the girl's youthful face.

    Khaos had arrived.

  4. Memories of Nine Years Ago

A beautiful manor settled in a reclusive area away from Orario. A little girl walked with Khaos up to the front door holding the deity's hand. The small girl looked up and gave a smile that showed barely present fangs. A tell tale sign of possessing non human genes. The girl was so happy to have made a new friend and wanted her to meet her family. Khaos was happy to oblige. The little girl was given a falna after learning of Khaos's divine origins although the kid had not even asked what kind of goddess Khaos was. Not that Khaos would have missed this chance.

The ritual would be Khaos's first and the little girl's reaction to a blood seal was actually positive. The girl had no fear of the red substance which intrigued the god. She even agreed to a pinky swear to keep it a secret. It would take a while but someday little Adele would be properly groomed to perform as Khaos's earthly servant.

The doors to the manor opened and a butler stood beyond, inviting Khaos in to meet the parents. Mr. and Mrs. Rochefort. Khaos had taken the precautions to befriend the right people at least on a temporary basis to make herself look good to the family. Following her ploy, Khaos only told others that her role was that of a fun loving and entertainer god. She admitted to being the origin but only one person she met actually had the foresight to identify her as dangerous.

The primordial deity quickly befriended and amused the Rocheforts enough to earn a place in their house. Where her radiating chaotic energy could slowly do it's irreversible damage...
