The Hall is under the protection of the Valkyries who have been permitted to use divine power if necessary. For more private encounters, you may use [invite] threads. Keep replies short, there should be a lot of dialogues happening with limited actions. Pay attention to DM posts! Chapter 2: FracturedHall of Gods - Around Noon Given the magnitude of the situation, many gods arrive well ahead of time, hoping to catch one another in private in order to talk about the happening for the day. From the rumors you have heard, it seemed that Ouranos has set his mind on his left and right hands for the Deitic Council, forming a trinity that is meant to keep the laws and prevent these kinds of disasters from happening. Perhaps your actions and skills in negotiation might change Ouranos' mind before he announces it tonight. From what you can see Ouranos is hanging out in the main courtyard, attempting to soothe his throat with fine wine. It seemed that he was in deep conversation with Osiris.
The first deliberation Freya's approach was signaled by the heavy crashing of boots against the pathways towards the hall of gods. her entire being reeked for pure anger for being called out to deal with Zeus. It was bad enough what he had done, but the fact they had to talk about his punishment was teeth grinding worth. Armor lightly shaking from her stomping as she was stopped by a Valkyries. "Unless you would like to end up in hell get out of my way!" Freya's voice with filled with cold hostility as she rested her right hand on her halberd. The Valkyries flying out of her way as she resumed her angry march to the meeting area. "Stupid, the fact we even have to talk about this event is entirely stupid!" Freya mumbled under her breath as she approached. If the room was open she would simply walk in without talking to anyone until she was seated. Halberd slamming to the ground beside her as she growled. Arms removing her helmet and setting it on her lap before moving her hair out of the armor and letting it rest on the back side of it. "it was bad enough he broke the rules, but to cause the deaths of so many mortals, while under the influence of alcohol is down right inexcusable." Freya growled to herself as she tapped her right boot to the ground while she waited for others to enter and the chance to get this meeting underway. She had A familia to take care of, a mansion to repair, and part time jobs to get to later. Time was money, and wasting it on a meeting was not idea for Freya. Tags here
Bishamonten had closed up his tea house in preparation for the Denatus meet. He knew that Lily running the shop was no good, as she was still new to everything. She was still trying to learn how to make tea, after all, and he doubted the customers would enjoy tea that tasted like leaf juice, never mind that was what tea was made of. He hoped that they would meet again without much trouble, both from the Denatus meet and from dungeon delving. He was fully clothed in armor, having polished it the night before so that it would shine. He wanted to appear formal for the occasion, as well ad formidable. His face was grim as the Valkyries made way for him and he entered the room. He began to survey it, seeing some other gods milling around as they talked with each other. Looked like the other Seven Lucky Gods weren't there. He made his way over to a wall and leaned against it, arms crossed as he studied everyone who came in.
Hestia couldn't stop chewing her thumb nail as she walked, cloak swishing behind her. She was more than worried for her sibling, what exactly had he done? She knew that many people had died and Zeus was the culprit behind it, but that was all she was told. She was disappointed in him, true, but she was more worried about his current state. She hoped that he was alright, for what sibling didn't care about each other? She stopped chewing her nail when she approached the Valkyries, shrinking a little. She was intimidated by these vassals that Odin had with him, but how could she not, when they towered over the Pallum form she took. As she approached, the Valkyries scrutinized her before nodding and made way for the goddess. "Thank you," she murmured as she scurried past them and continued to chew on her thumb nail. From what she could see, there were already other gods that were in the vicinity. Her gaze landed on one who was fully clothed in armor, flinching slightly. She was a peaceful goddess, so seeing others in full battle armor was frightening to her. It meant that they were either ready to go to war or the situation was very serious indeed. Zeus, what have you done? she thought to herself as she milled around the room, looking extremely lost.
Before she had even arrived, it was as if the cold wanted to welcome her first into the hall of gods. Fog started building up on the low floor as the goddess of winter waltzed right in through and arrived in front of a large door. Waltzed was the perfect term but it wasn't to be taken literally as it was only an allusion as to how the goddess gracefully conducted herself. She wore a dark blue kimono with cherry blossom decorations all over it, the color making her hair look more vibrant. And yet there was a twist to her clothing as it wasn't entirely eastern since it had fur on the collar area that practically screamed of her being norse. She had hoped she was wearing the proper attire as this was her first time to come, after finding out that she was to attend, Freya's attendant practically went mad dressing her up in different clothes until they settled on this one. She even handed her a small bag and a hair pin as an accent. According to the message sent out by Ouranos, this was the place where the Denatus Meeting will be held. She wasn't nervous, even if she wanted to be she just couldn't know what that feeling is. The only reason she stayed outside a little longer was to wait and see if she could find Freya around before she went in. "Goddess Skadi! W-welcome to the hall of the gods!!" The valkyrie all but sputtered as the battle hardened maiden stared at her in awe. Skadi knew that the Valkyries were under the norse pantheon and that they serve Odin under the strict tutelage of Freya so Skadi wasn't surprised at all with their appearance. Though the opposite was true with the valkyries as the goddess of snow rarely intermingled with the gods. She rarely joined any of the feasts back in the heavens and it was always a spectacle to for her to make an appearance. "By chance, has Freya already arrived?" And when the valkyries nodded an affirmation, Skadi inhaled once more before nodding back for them to open the door and have her arrival announced. Really, she could never get these formalities, ones that were imitated by royalty and nobility to lift themselves to the level of the gods. Resisting the urge to cut the announcer off, Freya went inside and the door slowly closed behind her, all along the valkyries were perplexed that the fog had vanished as if it wasn't even there in the first place. Skadi spotted Freya in one corner of the table and by the looks of it, she can tell that the goddess was in a foul mood. She paid no mind as she went around and sat at a chair, a chair away from Freya. Even she is not ignorant of Freya's wrath so she chose not to get close if ever a scuttle were to ensue. Reaching around, her hand lithely took a glass that had a beverage on it with a fruity scent. She raised it up to her lips, nodding to some of the few gods who have arrived early such as @Bishamonten , Osiris and Ouranos, and took a sip. To @Freya she offered a consoling smile as if to say, 'Don't go overboard onee-chan...', and she hoped the goddess was able to read her actions. She stopped mid-sip and took the beverage down with a grimace on her face. "Hot…" [[ooc: @Asch I know you said make replies short and make lots of dialogues but seeing as we're the first ones here it's hard to do it so please do forgive me if I can't do it on my first post, will surely make up on my next posts. Plus, its not really in Skadi's personality to talk when not needed to. So sorry. EDIT: Did a few touch ups on grammar. XD]]
Susano'o Before you, only victory. Behind you, only conquest. “Phew. . .~” Susano’o was busy dealing with his own starting familia, he had no time to deal with petty matters. He even met with such interesting mortals. It’s irritating really, he wanted to mold and polish the rough gems he had within his grasp. The deity placed his hand onto his head, feigning his visible distaste for being occupied. “No matter!” The deity spoke to himself, his summer winds coming forth to fit him for such a meeting. Though it was casual wear, it did represent his region—his pantheon, even. Adorning his casual white kimono, a gradient from his dominant color to salmon near his legs. Clouds depicted in the usual fashion of Japanese art was wrapped around his legs. Susano’o soon fanned himself, his matching paper fan with the symbol for ‘storm’ upon its base. Examining around his person for a few moments, Susano’o snapped his slender fingers. His winds bringing his long black coat, draping it over his shoulders. He was ready. The onyx strands of hair with red tips tied back in a messy pony tail. Several bangs falling onto his face. A shrug of his shoulders came about from finishing his preparations. “Strapping as always.” He grinned from his own words. It was time for departure. Turning his back to his temple, he’d start his prolonged track towards the Hall of Gods. . . . After a while somewhat, Susano’o’s winds had carried him towards the Hall. A wide grin on his face as he landed. Looked like he missed quite a bit, oh well. The deity would continue his way, a set of Valkyries in front of him. His devious grin appeared on his face, the lad walking up to one of them. Reaching over to tap one of their chins, lifting it a tad to meet his gaze. “Well, aren’t you a cute one~. . .” A red hue ran across her face, but that was just him messing around. Susano’o’s finger drifted from her chin, continuing his way to lay witness some deities already here. Loud clacks against the ground from his geta. His onyx orbs remained hidden as he took a seat. There were some interesting faces, here. Glancing towards Freya, then to Hestia, then lastly Susano’o’s eyes fell upon Skadi. He thought to himself: >Mmn, interesting faces indeed. I wonder if they are strong as they are beautiful.< Shaking his head, he’d close his fan. Placing it within the confines of his kimono. His right appendage extended, his palm straightening out to create a small breeze. Swirling within his palm, it formed a tornado. Leaving to his own devices, he’d wait until this meeting officially started. He found it terrible how Zeus could be so reckless, these mortals were diamonds waiting to be polished. Leaders to be made. . . Tsk tsk. God of Storms "War upon stone and it grows weaker. War upon man and he grows stronger. Which shall your wall be built of?"
Having been one of the first to arrive, a lone figure lounged lazily atop a sofa, his arm propping up a head of vibrant orange hair. It was none other than Sobek. After all, with the recent turn of events, how could he not be here? The scent of blood and drama wafted heavily throughout the hall, more so the latter. All it did was serve to sharpen his appetite until the main course had begun. Next to him stood a mortal attendant, one of the serving people to cater for this event. “Ha! These gods understand nothing.” A hand forcefully reached out to grab at a silver platter from a nearby dining cart. Holding the platter up above his mouth, the food (silverware and all) was magically swept into his gluttonous maw as he swallowed greedily and washed the oversized, singular bite with splash of wine. “I tell ya, drama’s like a fine vintage of wine. It’s gotta fester in the dark and ferment until things have reached the peak of perfection!” Seeing the absent minded look given by the attendant, he’d let out a lazy yawn before taking a good look over the floor. It appeared as though more deities had been slowly filtering in during his ravenous meal. “Pipe down pipsqueak!” His voice provocatively roared at Freya after hearing her tirade. “If rumor is correct, you’d be equally guilty of the same offense – unless you prefer being an intestinal stain on the slum’s exterior.” This crocodile needs a filter – badly. @Freya
"My, my. Such a fuss already.." came the lull of a rather apathetic tone in response to Freya and Sobek's howling, the lights in the hall seeming to flicker very briefly as Nyx made her way into the hall, her shadowy cloak veiling all but a touch of her upper-torso and the lower-half of her face to those whose eyes settled upon her. It was extremely rare for anyone to ever see her, fellow gods and goddesses included. She only ever truly arrived when a matter of grave importance such as this one arrived. She had heard of Zeus' screw-up at the Tower of Babel, unleashing his powers and causing a flood to overtake the city of Orario, many lives having been lost in one fell swoop. Upon her gloomy visage, it was hard to tell what exactly she was thinking. But on the inside, she was seething underneath, ready to hand down a vengeful wrath upon the God of Thunder for his idiotic arrogance. However, such actions were not permitted, and as such, should not be necessary when dealing with something of such catastrophic results. Even so, she could not help but weep inwardly for the loss of so many mortal children, and as such, a punishment must be dealt tot he one responsible. But even she, Mother of the Night, was capable of thinking a little more clearly than that displayed by the Lady Freya and Lord Sobek. Perhaps Lady Skadi would be able to show some intelligence in what would most likely become a shouting contest in this matter? Then again, it wasn't very often that Pantheons saw eye-to-eye. Perhaps that was providing too much credit? "Do keep in mind that we are here to have a civil discussion on how to handle that poor buffoons' actions. Not scream and bicker like children. We leave that sort of behavior to our own, do we not?", she said with the smallest of smiles, one that accompanied her seemingly hollow words with what could have been a bit of truth, mixed with back-handed comments about the mortals they were all charged with caring for. She seated herself in a chair, the blackness which cloaked her body and her face seeming to take shape similar to that of a very elegant dress from up-close, if not for the fact that the ends seemed to waver in and out of existence, like darkness fading from the rays of light. She'd raise a hand to waver an attendant over with a simple twitch of a finger, taking up a glass filled with red wine and sipping from the rim gingerly, veiled eyes looking over at the other gods attending. Bishamonten, the Lord of Treasures and Wealth, Susano'o, God of the Storms, and... was that Hestia? My, my. Perhaps this is what the mortals meant by the phrase, "It's a small world"? She was absolutely certain the remaining gods would file in in concert, as they awaited Ouranos and Osiris to come with what words they would have to get things started. @Freya @Sobek
Loki had been quiet ever since he arrived on this planet, he was being a good boy. Such a good boy that Odin had left him alone, no one was calling out his name, and no one was dying because of him. But with him being Loki he could just sit well enough alone. He had funded a bit of Odin's expedition, had helped two of his familia members out by purchasing a property for them, and hell he hadn't slept with anyone at all in over 100 years. In fact, he was pleasantly surprised at himself for having 'kept it in his pants' as the saying went. So here he was in his small mansion when the previous events had occurred. He knew Odin would blame him, except this time it wasn't his fault. Yay! No yelling at Loki! He thought to himself as he watched the flood waters, and other situations are dealt with. While he was dealing with the said problems a Valkyrie had arrived and asked him to come to a meeting. Chuckling as the Valkyrie looked at him, Loki winked and spoke. "Of course my dear I will gladly come, after all, its my duty as part of the council to help the others." Quietly he had stood up and walked toward the exit to his mansion but not without telling everyone that he'd be back in a few days. As he walked the still slightly damp streets or Orario, Loki giggled to himself. This was going to be fun to watch and listen to and maybe just maybe partake in. Loki was dressed in a nice looking tux and his typical fedora. Entering the building his eyes had spotted Freya, Skadi, and several others. It didn't matter to him, but what made him interested was the fact that Sobek and Freya were bickering like children already. Giggling more Loki placed a hand on Nyx's shoulder and whispered into her ear. "Come now lady of death, let the children play while we tend to the business." The words were sharp, pointed, but well delivered. So once they had been placed, Loki walked away and then approached Skadi. Looking at her he smirked coyly. "My dearest Skadi, it's been a long time. Hope your faring well...with those ropes attached to those garter belts of yours." He implied subtly but not too quiet. After all, who was Loki? He was the trickster god, and he knew exactly what Skadi was like even if his words were lies. @Nyx @Skadi
Using the fuss and distraction caused by the divine crocodile’s precise button pressing, a silent figure quietly entered the room using Nyx as cover. He’d slink off to a corner, away from Ouranos’ direct line of sight while nervously fidgeting around near an attendant that had come over in order to offer a drink. Awkwardly shirking away from the attendant, the silver haired titan waved for his niece to come over (Hestia). As for what Briareus had in mind, it was hard to tell. After all, even the god, himself, barely knew what went on in his brain half of the time. @Hestia Note: Friendly reminder to keep things short please. This was going to be bad enough w/ the existing gods, let alone a few, last second, extra additions (yes, I'm guilty as well)!
A keen glint flickered in Sobek’s eyes as he turned over towards Nyx. “You seem ill informed of the main course for today. It’s okay. I accept the fact that you’re senile. I also accept the fact that we won’t be starting for a bit… so what’s the harm in a little banter?” He’d lazily wave a hand, as if dismissing the goddess’ concerns. “But no, no. By all means. Who am I to tell you what to do? Feel free to parade about with a rod up your keister.” He'd let out a loud snort while reaching over for a large, roasted leg of turkey on the cart nearby. His attention had clearly gone elsewhere.
@Briareus Hestia continued to chew on her thumb nail and she continued to look around the room. She was never good at meetings, preferring to remain in the background. Though she had to grin and bear it, and besides, this was for her brother. She began shuffling around the room again in hopes of getting Zeus off her mind. Some silver haired man had waved at her and she stopped in her tracks. Was he calling for her? Maybe, maybe not. But talking to him would get Zeus out of her head. So she went over, stumbling a little as she tripped on her cloak. She tried to pretend it never happened as her face heated up and she approached the god. Her eyes lit up in recognition. "Briareus?" she asked, wanting to make sure. She knew every single one of her family members. How could she not, when family is what made a home and she was the goddess of it?
The titan’s eyes widened as he witnessed the goddess stumble upon her cloak. Perhaps this was the downfall of adapting such a short statured appearance? Nodding once to affirm his identity, he’d cut to the chase once she drew closer, speaking in a hushed whisper. “Hestia! We need to help Zeus… It’s not his fault. The dungeon, the shadow… it wasn’t him.” He’d look around nervously before speaking even more quietly, such that it was barely audible even for the adjacent goddess. “B-but… I don’t know what to do? I don’t see any friends here that’d help…” A second anxious glance flickered across the room. Unfortunately Yama was nowhere to be seen. @Hestia
@Briareus Hestia's eyes widened when Briareus said something about Zeus not being at fault. "Uncle, what do you mean?" she asked, going back to chewing on her thumb nail, "I don't see anyone else that could help either. But can you explain in detail what happened that day? You seem to know more about it than me..."
Veiled eyes would flicker over towards Sobek, a chuckle being the sound that sounded out before she spoke once more. "Ah, my apologies. I forgot that some of us have not quite evolved past being brainless animals just yet. But that's quite alright. You'll grow out of it eventually." The banter was to be expected of course. In most cases, Nyx might have let her own fiery temper flare up and do the talking for her, but a certain god of trickery had whispered into her ear, allowing her small smile to grow a touch in amusement. It was a helpful reminder that the topic of todays' Denatus was far more important than that of a crocodile's attempt at demeaning others, she would let it slide. Right after a little quip of her own, that is. "Besides... I highly doubt anyone would consider the opinions of an overgrown salamander." she said with a chuckle, taking another sip of wine before turning her attention to Briareus and Hestia. That boy certainly had a knack for sneaking in when he really tried. "Yes, dear Briar. If you have any information on what transpired, then do share with us. We may be able to come to a just solution for Zeus' punishment. Though, that said, I cannot make an absolute promise on that..." @Sobek @Hestia @Briareus
Upon hearing Hestia’s question, the titan found himself a bit dumb founded. At a loss for words, he’d pause momentarily before a strange look glimmered in the titan’s eyes. Judging from his gaze alone, something had changed. His resolve? Perhaps his approach? It was hard to tell. Voice still at a hushed whisper, the words finally resumed. “Listen to your uncle, child. Zeus is in trouble. Do NOT trust the other gods, especially the other pantheons. You don’t know them like I do. They are selfish, petty, and most importantly – they have an insatiable thirst for power. This isn’t just about Zeus. If we’re lucky, they’ll shove him under the rug for more pressing matters.” He’d pause for a moment before keenly glancing about the room. “Just go and make as many friends as you can. Test the waters. See if they’ll vouch for your brother. And in exchange? Perhaps we’ll need to make some concessions…” Yet another dumb stare was given as the silver haired titan found himself at a loss for words. “D-did that make sense? We should do that…” His voice stuttered nervously, as if taking in the moment before looking about the room a third time. The deity’s attention this time was drawn towards his estranged aunt. Shuffling in place nervously while retaining a healthy distance, he’d bow slightly while addressing her. “Y-yes, aunty?” He seemed to be at an utter loss for words. Perhaps the titan had been traumatized from the ordeal and repressed the memories. It was within the realm of expectations at least given the god’s quirks. @Hestia @Nyx
"Jibber Jabber, thats all I'm hearing. No one wants to talk about the lives that were taken, the amount of scars some of our beloved adventurers received, or...the fact that A GREEK GOD broke the BLOODY RULES!" Loki let out loud as he started laughing and then walked toward Briareus, his face sinister and dark. loki was very good at acting, but this was no act. He was well beyond pissed. Now, why was the god of mischief pissed? Because it wasn't him that did this. As he got closer and closer to Briareus, Loki grumbled. "This little twerp, A TITAN nonetheless was in the midst of it, HIGHLY unlikely that he didn't do SOMETHING to make it worse." Loki smirked while assuming this. Loki knew he'd have everyone's attention at this rate so instead of going on he chuckled, "But, no matter. He's a greek god, the leader of said posse actually. So let me ask you all this; oh and no offense Nyx. Youre one of the few exceptions to the Greek mistakes. Now back to the question, Why do we allow the Greeks so much breathing room and access to the dungeon when obviously they lack the ability to what's the word for it again? Oh yeah, STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE ADVENTURERS way?" Loki was just enjoying this too much, at this rate he'd likely incite a riot, but that's what he wanted. he wanted discord among the gods, so that he could slip by everyone and take what he wanted.
Freya waved the comment from the Egyptian god off as jealously. But when Loki began to cause a mess her Halberd slammed the floor shaking the ground in it's wake. "LOKI!" Freya's focus stuck on him as she rose and walked over to him. Right hand snapping outward to try and pull him by the ear and away from everyone. "You sit your ass down until someone addresses you. Last thing we need is more chaos because you want to rustle everyone's feathers!" With that Freya would sit down beside Loki and be ready to hit him across the jawline should he try to open his mouth before being spoken to. She was not going to have her Pantheon be the cause of any carnage during this meeting. @Loki
@Briareus @Loki Hestia's eyes widened at Briareus' words and stepped back. "W-What...?" she asked timidly, at a loss for other words. She didn't understand it, the not to trust anyone bit. Who would choose power over family? "Why-Why would- Why would anyone...?" she stammered, chewing on her index finger nail. Then Loki came forward and shouted how their pantheon was basically no good. "H-Hey! You leave my family alone!" she shouted back at him, marching over to him and trying to stare into his eyes. She didn't care if she was too short, she would- Then Freya took matters into her own hands and she backed off somewhat, though she was still angry for that comment. "Please, don't judge others just because of one incident," she sighed, "If anything, it's only if they do something again and again that it would be a concern. Though this meeting about Zeus is a concern itself..." She walked briskly back to Briareus, not wanting to look at Loki anymore.
Bishamonten had quietly observed the room before closing his eyes and starting to meditate standing up. He let his thoughts flow out before the flickered back and disappeared into the edges of his mind. If a thought lingered, he would rein his mind back into calmness. He was utterly at peace and was enjoying it too. The peace was shattered at the sound of someone shouting. His eyes flew open in surprise, then blinked, then narrowed slightly. Whoever it was that disturbed his meditation was going to get it. He began to look around the room, seeing more gods than before. How long had he been meditating? He didn't know.
