“Hahaha!” Odin let out an uproarious laugh as he approached the smaller girl from behind, letting his presence known by putting a hand on her head. “It’s been a while since we have last spoken, huh?” he said, seemingly happy to see the midget in fancy clothing; nothing could hide her sullen face from him. In his usual manner, Odin inserted himself into the conversation between Hel and Bishamonten. “However sophisticated the Greek culture may be, there is no excuse for this use of divine power. If we made an exception, everyone will become an exception. We best make an example of Zeus and banish him back to the metaphysical world, isn’t that right, Eva?” toward the end of his comment, Odin addressed a crow nuzzling against his neck. @Hel
@Hel @Odin "Bishamonten," he said curtly. He probably was going to repeat himself until the end of time with her. Oh well, he can deal. He blinked in surprise when she asked him how he would handle the situation. "Me? Hm...I would gather as much information as I possibly can before judging him. Though doing so takes time and since this is an emergency..." He shook his head. "I wish this meeting was like that, but we do need to decide quickly on what to do about powers." And then Odin came. In a very loud manner. He rubbed his temples a little at his manner. He could feel the jealousy just radiating off of him. "Still, there should be more time to decide whether or not to banish him. There's no evidence whatsoever, other than the storm. And there were other gods that were witness to it too, so they should speak their turn before we assume anything!" He didn't mean to reprimand Odin, but he was speaking through his heart that felt right to him.
“W-… I don’t know?!!!” Hera raised her voice before she raised another glass of wine and emptied the content into her throat. “And YOU, UNCLE!” Hera finally noticed the white-haired Titan hiding behind Hestia and shot him an annoyed glare. “What the heck were you doing? Why didn’t you stop that idiot Zeus from using his power?! Weren’t you practically next to him the entire side?!” Hera was losing herself from all the wine she’s downed and anger putting wrinkles on her forehead. “If they won’t release him, our family needs to march down to that dungeon, we are going to break the walls. ALL THE WALLS, do you hear me!!!? To hell with grandfather’s laws!!!” @Hestia @Briareus
As Hel was rocked back and forth by The All-Father's hand, Hel uncharacteristically fumed nearly to the point of rising to a human temperature. Shaking loose, she stomped the clicking heels of her boots to the other side of Bisamonten. "Oh! So now all the fools have gathered now to ruin my already sour mood! Tell me did your idiotic prophecy ever some true? While you meditate on such things amongst your severed heads, why not ask me how the weather has been in Niflheim? Or better yet, hang yourself upon a tree and find the answer. Oh! and while you are at it, why not take Loki with you, would you please? It seems he would do well under your uncertain brand of wisdom as well. My, my what a reunion, life is so very wasted upon the living. Say Eva, does poor Odin still kick dirt upon Midgard looking for friends?" Clearing her throat, she returned her gaze to Bishamonten speaking loudly to ignore Odin. "I see, I do indeed feel this is to be a long deliberation, but I must wonder, have none considered the rights of the damaged? I speak with the knowledge that they do in fact still possess voice and should be allowed their suit. Their right is greater than anyone else's." @Odin @Bishamonten @Nyx
Nyx let out a sigh, quite ready to leave all of this nonsense behind her. A meeting of various gods from varying pantheons was serving to get very little accomplished. However, she ceased such thoughts as Odin soon came in with loud and boisterous laughter. However, that laughter had soon vanished as he then directly began to speak of Zeus and the idea of banishment back to the metaphysical world. This, caused the specterly woman to raise an eyebrow in question of such an extreme jump to such drastic measures. When Here soon raised her voice against him, she finally let out a sigh before getting to her feet and gliding over closer, gingerly resting a hand upon Hera's shoulder in gesture for her to stand down in her hysterical state of mind. "If I may, Lord Odin.." she chimed with the utmost respect intended in her choice of words, continuing on as soon as she was certain she had Odin's attention. "While I personally do not condone Zeus' breaking of the laws, I would still commend him for the reasons he so chose in doing so. From what I understand, he had entered the dungeon in order to aid his own Familia in dealing with a creature upon entry into the Tower of Babel. One that apparently required such impulsive action of a god to act. Forgive me if I overstep boundries, but would you not do the same if it were your own Familia? Or perhaps, even your own kin?" She knew too well that she was saying things that could be considered far beyond her usual character. However, what she was aiming for out of this ordeal was a fair conclusion that all could agree upon. And honestly, what good did outright exile solve for anyone in a close-knit city like this? More times than not, it brought naught but fear... @Hera @Odin
@Hera Hestia couldn't help but wince and flinch at Hera's anger. "Hera..." She didn't know what to say to Zeus' wife. Of course she cared for him, she was his wife. But yelling out threats and making a fuss out of the issue at hand was counterproductive. I wish I knew what to say to her... Hestia thought as she watched helplessly as the woman drank quite the amount of wine.
Despite being mid conversation, the crocodile’s attention was quickly caught by an unusually similar looking figure. Keenly eyeing Odin from across the room, he’d silently sent a mental message to poke at the god’s mind. Heeeyy! Nice skin suit ya got there, Odin. Good taste, good taste! He’d leave the message at that, only offering a toast of acknowledgement across the expanse between them before taking yet another gulp from his wine. @Odin
The titan cringed, gripping a bit more tightly at Hestia’s shoulders as he continued to hide behind her figure. Hesitant to speak after Nyx’s repeated harassment, he’d eventually let out a quiet stammer while addressing his fiery little niece. “I-it would’ve been bad… really bad. The tower was going to fall… with everyone in it. The shadow was about to escape too…” He’d for pause a moment, as if deciding whether he had spoken too much. “I shouldn’t have said that…” Clamming up immediately after that statement, he’d look back at Hestia as if expecting her to repeat his previous message. Upon seeing that it wouldn’t happen, he’d sigh anxiously before whispering even more quietly to the goddess. “S-something’s wrong here… you just got back from traveling… b-but it seems weird. Announcements… rules… your g-g-grandfather’s new assistants… We need help…” @Hera @Hestia
When he was brushed away coldly by Hel, Odin responded to her biting remarks with a smile. He might have taken her argument more seriously had she assume a more mature form. He has absolutely no idea why on earth she would chose that form for herself. “You’re gasping for straws if you had thought to insult me with my vision of Ragnarok, little one,” Odin spoke, not taking her insult to heart. Eva who would normally attack anyone who touch or speak to Odin the wrong way flapped her wing and perched on Hel’s shoulder, nudging against her face as Odin walked away, giving his pet some time for itself. In response to Nyx’s argument, Odin met eyes with the goddess and articulated his thought, “When rules are kept, order is upheld. You cannot apply Zeus’ circumstances to me, Goddess. A law-abiding denizen of Orario such as myself would not be found a meter near the entrance into the dungeon anyways, much less using my power for something like that. Even if my most beloved adventurer, Prince Baldur were to die, I would entrust his soul to death for that is what fate has willed. There can be no peace for mortals if gods were to use their power so recklessly.” @Hel @Nyx
@Briareus Hestia turned her head to look at Briareus, eyes wide. "It was that bad? Zeus wasn't the cause of the tower nearly collapsing, was he?" she asked in a frantic voice. She would've chewed on her thumb nail again if she wasn't intent on what Briareus was saying. "What's this shadow you're talking about? A monster from below?" She shook her head. "I don't know what to do, who to talk to," she said quietly, looking around the room, "...I know we aren't allowed to bring mortals in here, but maybe we should confide in whoever is in our familia about the situation. They might help, even if they are only mortals..." She sighed. "I don't know what you're trying to tell me," she admitted, "That everything is deeper than what's on the surface? I don't understand..."
Well I am very intrigued to see who he picks as the right hand mainly." Loki chuckled as he nodded to Osiris and then smirked at Sobek. With those words he stood up. "I do need to go give a few choice words to some people though, mainly my daughter and miss...loud mouth." Winking at Sobek and Osiris, Loki walked toward his daughter first and foremost. As he neared her, Loki smirked as he saw his brother Odin and then heard his daughter throw a temper tantrum. She was definitely his child. "It's a win-win for us! They either roll over and take our rules, or inevitably end up losing their precious familia members." Loki then chuckled before looking at his daughter with a smile, "... And we all know the first option ain't happening" With those words said he winked at Odin before walking away to join Freya again. @Odin @Hel @Bishamonten
Nyx gave the slightest nod in turn to Odin's response, and even offered an apologetic bow shortly after. "My sincerest apologies for my presumptuousness, Lord Odin. I merely wished to offer the idea that in comparison to deities such as yourself and I, Zeus is still but a babe, and that we are like paternal figures in such regard. I merely thought mayhaps you may be open to the notion of a firm slap on the wrist on his first offense as opposed to outright exile. A chance that he may better adhere himself to the rules, learn from his mistakes. And of course for the sake of the children, give him more time to spend with the mortals within his Familia." Nyx did not particularly care for Zeus, this much was known very well among all the gods and goddesses. However, she also still tended to behave as a woman who was deemed a mother of the world's children first as opposed a patron deity foremost. She raised herself upright again, extending a hand towards the Alfather. "Might I suggest a... oh, what is it the children call it... a "probationary period"? We restrict him to his Familia House. Or perhaps have another deity monitor his actions to make sure he goes nowhere near the dungeons, or makes ill use of his divine powers? If he can do this successfully for a year at the very least, then we can be sure that it certainly won't happen again. And if it happens on either occasion, then he is to be exiled without discussion. A fair conclusion for us deities, as well as the mortals in his charge in his Familia, yes?" It seemed perfectly fair in her mind. As any mother would, they would give their child a warning when they have done something wrong, though there was still punishment involved. If it happened again, well... there wouldn't be quite as much mercy now would there? Such were her methods in dealing with all children of the world, be they mortal or no. Hopefully this would be enough to satisfy the other Greeks present, as well as other patron gods listening to Nyxs' proposal. There was no guarantee, of course... but she would do what she could here and now. @Hera @Hestia @Briareus @Odin
Osiris took a seat and shot Sobek a completely baffled look as he recited his terrible pun. It was a great day for the Egyptian pantheon, however, as the topic in the room slowly began turning into a feud between the Norse and the Greek pantheons, two of the most influential pantheons in Orario currently. “I think Ra had an interest in getting a seat at the head of the council, but I am not so sure about that guy. As long as Set isn’t the one to take that seat, I am happy. Any amount of influence we get over these two dominant houses is a win for our family... Come to think of it, why do we have the head of the Greek pantheon as our council leader anyways?” he muttered quietly as his mouth formed a grin, watching the crowd intently. @Sobek
Tiamat was relatively late for the gathering of the gods. When she approached the Hall, the Valkyries stopped and inspected her. Once she was through, the daughter of discord sat by herself in the corner of the room, far away from the high-profile Odin and Hera. When she was offered wine, the Goddess was quick to rise and took two, one in each hand before she struck a quick conversation with some other gods and goddesses around. Considering her steps to make sure only selected ears could hear her voice, she kept her conversation secretive. This seemed to have struck Osiris as odd. However, he wasn’t interested enough in Tiamat to approach her, considering the Mesopotamian pantheon is also one of the less influential stakeholders in this debacle.
Sobek gave a rather disdainful look after hearing Osiris mention the two other deities. Sure, perhaps he and Ra had some common purpose due to their prior roles in dispensing judgement… but man was that overgrown turkey a pompous ass. “I hope it’s neither of them. They’re anti-fun.” Though his response was short, it’d fully convey his dislike for the two. “I’d be nice if someone like you was selected. At least I could get away with being lazy from time to time.” A nod of agreement was given at the notion of the two main powers going at the throat. Looking curiously over towards his uncle, he’d raise an eye at the question posed regarding the council head. “The hell if I know.” He’d shrug once before continuing in a much quieter, literally non audible manner. But if ya ask me… I think we should gently encourage the direction things are taking currently. I mentioned to Loki earlier that the best outcome would be a war game. He seemed eager to sell that to his own camp. The Greeks won’t take this sitting down, not with Hera fanning the flames. What better to decide once words stop working? All we gotta do is sit back and coast while they whittle at each other… @Osiris
It was like one of those highfalutin parties or something. All this hullabaloo over Zeus... As if they hadn't a few skeletons in their closets. A mighty god at the mercy of others, how amusing. This meeting lacked something major for certain. It needed a whole lot more chaos! The door to the divine hall burst open as if it was brutally kicked open. Behind it the mad goddess herself. Khaos waltzed into the room haughtily. Being extremely over dramatic as she rose her nose in the air and moved her body super stiffly into the room. Mocking the higher class atmosphere. Looking rather strange as usual with her black jacket and red skirt. Behind her was a very quiet maid who seemed to be constantly biting her lip. holding a tray of drinks and snacks. This maid was a simple mortal and may not look it but she was a very close personal servant of Khaos (OOC:more info coming in the future). The fact she was allowed here was truly something. Maybe Khaos just wanted to show off in front of her or who knows? Khaos stopped wandering and placed her hands on her hips. She looked around the hall at the gods. Thinking of which to entertain her today and how to best make use of this petty meet. Actually this was her chance to learn more about the other pantheon gods. Those that she felt still needed to be tested for her games. Where to start?
que the prima ballerina entrance. It was everything Loki would have done if he was a female. Watching Khaos enter the room was much like watching himself enter. Smiling to himself as he looked at Odin,. Nyx, his daughter Hel, Bisha, Loki decided to excuse himself. "Well that's my que. I shall talk with you guys some more later. I have....a calling to perform." The way he used his words was odd even to him. But what was more odd was the fact that he was finding himself attracted to Khaos. Chuckling as he walked toward her, Loki spoke. "Well well well. The mother of all Greeks...it is a pleasure and an honour to meet you." Loki then bowed down slightly before taking her hand and kissing it in a gentleman-like way. He softly let her hand go and then spoke some more. "My name is Loki, Brother of Odin the AllFather, God of Mischief, Chaos, and Fire." He wanted to formally introduce himself. Of course even if this was going to far, he'd keep going. This lady...well he could smell a lot coming from her; but most of all...he was attracted by the sheer fact that she was able to bring a servant in. "Would you like to join me at a nearby table?" All hands on deck, Loki was flirting with a Greek Goddess, or was he simply being nice? With Loki you never knew what would happen, or what was on his mind. @Khaos
Hel frowned at Loki's presence, ever a tough read for her, her father was was practically a stranger. She said nothing to him though she thought tiredly that this estrangement would likely not last. Loki did not seem to leave anything well enough alone that caught his interest. Petting the raven upon her shoulder, Hel offered her persepctive if only to hold her own ground amongst the bigger players in what she was gradually understanding to be a tiresome political game. Hel sighed, "And I allow that you both speak fine platitudes for this realm, but what of those who have moved unto the next? What of those who have already suffered loss? Surely, they must be of some concern to you, All-Father, or you would not have thrust upon me my station with nary my opinion on the matter at so very tender an early age. It is the mortals that have cause for suit against their errant deity. What is to be punishment should be rendered in some form of reparation for their sakes as apology. Otherwise how would any midgardian trust the promises rendered whereupon we took the assumption of these human forms? There is nothing to be gained from this errant deity taking upon his person his toys and running away to his heavenly home." @Odin @Bishamonten @Nyx @Loki
Valkyries, bah. This isn't what one would call a friendly gathering. Odin was really enjoying his high standings it would seem. A sigh radiated like a chilling breeze through the hall leading to the meeting area. Izanami silently approached the door the valkyries guarded. Her appearance was of utmost formality. She refused to bow before such undesirables. "Odin should stop dragging his harem about. It is unbecoming of one of his stature. Move, I shalt not be staying here long I assure you." Not even waiting for a response the death goddess glided past them into the chamber hall. Her mere aura was often enough to keep others at bay. The moment she stepped inside she couldn't help but want to turn right around and leave. Izanami truly hated them all... but she had come for a purpose and she would see to accomplishing it before this joke of a meeting was over.
Khaos's maid covered her mouth with both hands and made strange muffled sounds as she watched Loki make advances on the primordial chaos. This was really unheard of by even the gods! Khaos herself made a odd look, yes even by her standards. Like she was going through a wide range of emotions in a instant. In all her endless years of existence... never had something like this transpired! It was.... very interesting. The origin goddess made no effort to push him away. Instead after a awkward moment of making the strangest face ever.... she blushed ever so slightly and cocked her head at him. "Huh? Are you HITTING on ME? Has lust consumed the brother of Odin, hmmmm? Hahahah.... you are daring aren't you? Khaos WOULD be honored.... pfft" The blonde made a effort to control her maniacal laughter and play along. This was a very, very, very new thing to her. Never had anyone wanted to even be near her before. @Loki
