Odin's expedition has cleared the boss guarding the door to the 6th floor. Odin's familia is currently searching for the entrance to the 7th floor.
7th FloorKiller Ants’ Nursery Chaos, chaos everywhere—Odin’s expedition has come to a complete stop when they tread upon the Queen Ant’s territory. Given that no mortals have made it this far and curb the colonies of Killer Ants, they have spread their nest incredibly far. While Odin’s veteran adventurers lead the attack far in the front, clearing the slimy eggs surrounding every inch of the interior and incurring the wrath from the entire colony, the supports follow at a distance, finishing up leftovers the leading party didn’t have time to kill. Time is of great concern as the leading party approaches the heart of the colony to slay the Queen, the exit should be within that area. Raid Objective: Pop all of the eggs that are incubating Killer Ant Larvae Destroy as much of the colony as you can Kill all Ants (they are about as twice as wide as a cattle and slightly shorter) Support the more experienced adventurers Avoid the acidic coating on the eggs and inside the Ant's body Raid Rules: Everyone who has pledged to support Odin's expedition should make 1 post engaging in the objectives. There is no posting order. @Korra Quinn @Shigure Kosaka @Lilian Felding @Ike @Marzipan Loaf
Korra couldn't help gritting her teeth seeing the situation becoming dangerous quickly. They'd made it pretty far; done pretty well up to the present that it hadn't been too precarious; everything up til now had gone according to plan in other words. This surprise however seemed to have caught the group off guard as Korra turned her attention to the others. Even if she wasn't a veteran adventurer like those in Odin's familia, she was a highly qualified supporter; perhaps not a veteran, but not a newbie either. "Anyone with ranged attacks, take out the eggs, as many as possible-- Keep firing or shooting but don't drain yourself dry, if you mind down you're going to die." Korra shouted over the chaos while plucking a few strings of her lute to activate Healing Hymn on those who were in the most dangerous positions. She tried to keep those who were on the stronger side standing with her magic being as conservative as possible while still being efficient. "If you can't reach the eggs in front, don't run out-- stay back and fight off the strays and stragglers for the rear team!" She tried to continue shouting options for people who might be fresh into the dungeon. While Korra struggled, Kirin didn't do nothing, rather then carrying her at the rear line, the horse was supporting the front line. Using it's large frame it used blunt teeth to grab onto those who lacked the strength to continue and dragged those who collapsed to safety. The ride across the hard ground being dragged by the Horse might not be the most comfortable ride, but it was better then being dead. Korra tried her best to stop the hemorrhaging of Odin's Familia this way; Healing the key fighters while Kirin tried dragging away those who were incapacitated from exhaustion so they might rest or be healed by someone else before returning to the fray. Naturally if anyone needed more arrows or tools from their supply cart, Kirin would ferry those when necessary, but it's attention was largely focused on the fray. "If you can't do either of those things-- At least keep the supplies and medicines handy for those in need." She explained knowing that even her partner Kessler would be useless in the front, let alone those who weren't as experienced as him. Making sure Odin's familia had what they needed to fight efficiently was much more important then endangering them by haphazardly trying to fight beside them. Healing Key fighters in Odin's Family Kirin pulling back those incapacitated or collapsing to prevent more casualties Kirin ferrying supplies and medicines when no one's incapacitated or mind down
The beginning trip had gone well surprisingly. They made it to the fifth floor without a problem and then entered the sixth after defeating the guardian of the sixth floor entrance. She thought things were just peachy and hoped that the rest of the trip would be just as easy. It didn't last, for they stumbled upon a huge colony of ants. She was in shock when she first saw the eggs and the many ants they had to defeat. Her hesitation nearly blindsided her, but she managed to move out of the way with another adventurer saving her from the killer ant. "Thanks," she said before grabbing her swords and started hacking and slashing at the ant. Several slashes later and it was down for the count. With a huff, she turned to more ants that were coming in waves. She heard Korra's voice amidst the commotion, one that spoke of authority as she dictated what each person should do. It was comforting to know that a veteran, at least to her she was a veteran, was giving out orders while people rushed to do as she said. Remember the advice she gave you, she thought to herself, Conserve your energy to do things efficiently! She stopped mindlessly hacking an ant and took in a deep breath before continuing the battle, reserving her strength and not going all out. Eventually after what seemed like forever, she began to tire out. Her mind was on autopilot now as her body ached but she continued to fight on. Catching sight of Kirin through the crowd, she stopped and remembered Korra's words when she was dragged onto the steed's back during her first time in the Dungeon. Deciding that she needed a break, she went over to where Kirin was dragging the exhausted fighters and sat down with them. Then she remembered the bread she brought with her. She fished the bread out from her bag, taking out several rolls. "Lembas," she said, "This oughta help get my strength back." With a pause, she broke the bread into different pieces and shared it with the exhausted adventurers. The bread seemed to be reinvigorating and soon she was on her feet again. She itched to fight off the ants, but maybe it was time to take a break for a little while longer. Coming down the sixth floor and seeing the ant nest. Fighting the ants Remembering some of Korra's words from before and following her advice. Takes a break and splits Lembas with the other exhausted fighters.
Odin’s Expedition Shigure was not fully enjoying the peacefulness that came with the sixth floor. She stayed near the rear of the group, her black cloak and mask covering her frame. Unlike her other days though Shigure had tied a rope around her wrist to stop her cloak from showing her arms when she moved them upward, and gloves to hide her skin. Fingers slowly pressing her umbrella clockwise as she kept it over her head while they went down the steps to the next floor. ’I want to kill something…’ - "You and me both~” Shigure chimed happily as they walked, while some might have found her odd since she was not talking or looking to anyone when she spoke. But the sound of combat was enough to jar her focus towards the front of the group wondering what was going on. Slithering her way through the group to get a closer look as she overheard a woman speaking. Her face showing slight annoyance under her mask, was she trying to order Shigure around? "Nyaa, don’t order me around , only Hades does that!~” Her voice was faint and innocent, but she made sure to hiss as she shot forward untying the knots in her rope to open her sleeves up. Index and thumb slid down the umbrella as she lowered it to hide herself behind the bulls eye design and draw her thin Katana. Eyes grew cold, body language changing as her bloodlust washed over the small area around her. The first ant attempting to use its pincers against her umbrella As Shigure drew her katana back, lowered her center of gravity, and thrust her arm forward and through the umbrella just inside the jaw of the ant before jumping away from her target. Arms retracing from the coat’s sleeves as she got her shuriken at the ready, three in each hand before rushing forward again as she placed her arms back into her coat sleeves. Speed lowered, her figure lowering down as she crouched before jumping with all her strength to get her body over umbrella and ant, figure twisting as her cloak covered most of her view while upside down. Only in the brief moment did she flick her arms and wrist to send her shuriken into the neck of the ant before landing on the butt of the creature. Arms crossing into her sleeves as she drew out her tanto with annoying, the creature reeling and bucking to try and get her off. Fingers spinning her weapons before sinking them into the ant’s head dragging it to the ground. Her throat releasing a low pitched hiss as she ran back towards the group jumping over the ant’s head as she watched her tanti bubble with acid soaking them. She wasted her main weapons, but she was not fully out of this fight just yet as she pulled what remained of her Katana, and her umbrella looking for something less annoying to deal with. ’Hades won’t praise you at this rate.’ - "I know that…” Mumbled words as she lowered her center of gravity again and got ready to jump at something or evade something if needed. Actions taken: Action I: Umbrella used as cover before stabbing her Katana through the cover into the Ant’s mouth. Action II: Falling back before jumping over her cover and the ant using her six shuriken to hinder the ant by targeting the neck. Action III: Drawing Tanto to pierce the skull of the ant she was fighting. Action IV: Jumps back to retrieve the remaining half of her katana and her umbrella. Thread type: Closed Expedition
At long last Lilian was getting some progress into this nefarious dungeon! Unfortunately, it was not much by her doing. She needed to improve, quickly. Although the mission was to simply support so maybe this time it could slide. A hero must know when to support a worthy comrade after all. Even if it was starting to feel like all she did was support lately.... Floor 1 went by without a single fight. Odin's party was powerful indeed. Floor 2 went much the same. She felt very much like Shigure if not quite as lusting for the kill. Floor 3.... ditto. Floor 4 had a few monsters. They had went down in like, one hit due to previous damage... Floor 5 was empty as far as Lilian was concerned. Floor 6.... Woah! The battle caught Lilian by surprise. Giant ants were everywhere! The young warrior's face grew determined. At long last a true battle of good vs evil! Her sword was drawn in a instant and she rushed into battle. Her hero senses were tingling as she encountered her first ant. She swung her large sword hard at it's 'head' and the Justice Bringer cut deep into it's flesh. Goo splattered around and sizzled. Oh crud... these things were acidic? Jumping back as the acid spilled on the ground. The insect writhed and died. Lilian made a worried look at her sword. What if her father's legendary blade was permanently damaged from this? She shook her head. No way that could happen to this sword! Lilian spun around to see more ants encroaching on her location. The girl braced herself for them and had to be sure not to back up into the dead acidic corpse behind her. Hopefully the fluid dried quickly. Cause her weapon really caused these things to gush due to it's large size.... Reaches 6th Floor. Slays a Ant while discovering the acidic effect first hand. Braces for more ants.
Ike frantically ran around the rear, trying to keep the adventurers supplied to deal with the threats they were facing. Clumsily but surely the supplies would reach those in need as an always pleasant smile was painted on the newbie's face. Ike was never one to loose hope when things got tough and seemed to be brimming with hope, a believe that everything would end up being well once again. As Ike run towards the next crate of medicines he needed to deliver, he stumbled. "No, no no!" In his enthusiasm he had over looked on of the ant cospses laying in his path, tripping and falling down towards a batch of eggs for a magnificent faceplant. Luckily for the newbie he didn't fall face first into the eggs, instead his flailing left arm was the only thing which touched the eggs. A sizzling sound echoed within his ears as Ike slowly got back up from his fall. "Shit that hurts." He mumbled as he inspected the wound, which hadn't even done its worst yet, it had burned through his robes and was just starting to go to work on his arm. Ike felt the pain with every fibre of his body, the pain was excruciating, yet a vague feeling of relieve passed the young one's thoughts. He raised his right arm, moving his mask in front of his rogueishly handsome face. His eyes lit up in red from behind the mask, Time to get serious had just activated. Ike grabbed unto his canteen and poured water over the wound, in an attempt to stop or just slow down the overtime damage being done on his left arm. Ike's left arm tembled under the strain but the now determined fighter knew he had no time to hesitate. He scanned his surroundings, oddly clear in his thoughts. From the corner of his eyes he spotted one of his fellow comrades in need of his help, Lilian, the righteous warrior. A group of giant ants was approaching the young heroin, and Ike wasn't going to let her face those on her own. Ike rushed over towards her, unsheathing his katana with his right hand, his left arm limp next to his body. Ike didn't mutter a word as he joined the swordfighter, switching to a one-handed katana style as he prepared himself mentally for the ant attack. Ike was helping out carrying the much needed supplies around. He tripped, and his left arm got in contact with a batch of eggs, injured. Due to damage Time to get serious activated. Joined Lilian as she was bracing for an ant attack.
WarningThreat level has increased tenfold After what must have felt like an eternity of killing ants upon ants, squashing thousands if not tens of thousands of eggs, you hear a bone-chilling high-pitched noise. It was loud and disturbing enough that it felt as though the entire dungeon reverberated. All actions stopped for a few seconds after that, as both ants and human looked up, completely flabbergasted as to what had transpired. Afterwards, all the ants turned and began crawling down the tunnel leading toward the main attack squad. All of the remaining eggs hatched as well and smaller, infant ants also began crawling toward the Queen’s chamber. The mass exodus could be felt down at your feet… Death was marching toward the main team, who had somehow, miraculously brought the mother of monsters down to her knees. Raid Objective: Do everything you can to help the leading attack squad fend back the Queen's death call. Raid Rules: 2 more posting cycles to be expected. Everyone who has pledged to support Odin's expedition should make 1 post engaging in the objectives. There is no posting order. @Korra Quinn @Shigure Kosaka @Lilian Felding @Ike @Marzipan Loaf
Marzipan had leapt back into the fray as ants crawled towards the hapless adventurers. She struck at them, trying to conserve her own energy as they swarmed the group. This is a good workout, she thought to herself as she sliced an ant's mandible clean off. The ant's shriek only lasted for a moment before she brought one of her swords down, splitting its head. She continued to fight until a high pitched shriek echoed across the cavern. Everyone froze at the noise before the ants started to retreat. She watched in horror as eggs hatched nearly instantly and the infant ants were heading towards the queen. "...Why didn't they just hatch before?!" she wheezed, paling at the thought that they could've hatched at any time and swarmed them. She shook her head. Now was not the time to think about that. The queen must've screamed for a reason, perhaps some adventurers had brought it down. Steadying her grip on her swords, she once more charged into the fray as the adventurers began attacking the ants once more. She thought she could hear someone shouting commands, but she wasn't sure who it was. "Tch." She sliced and slashed at the ants that seemed too intent on getting towards their queen, a hard expression on her face. They had to hold them back, it was the very least she could do. She could feel her strength waning slightly as she fought, but continued to press onwards. Marzipan kills an ant Queen screeches and has all the ants come to her More killing ants
Ike froze in his tracks as the screech echoed through his ears. The sound resonated with every fiber of his body, sending a chill down his spine. If this was what the last breath from the queen ant sounded like, it must have truly been a terrifying monster. Ike watched as the ants he was facing disappeared into the tunnels scattered along the dungeon's wall. There was only one possible place they could be going, towards the leading attack squad. As Ike drew his conclusion he left Lilian on her own and dashed towards the forward teams to warn them of the incoming ants, which sadly was already too late. Ants were already emerging from every possible flank, not to mention the giant horde that would gather to the front of the attack squad. Ike's eyes lit up as he scanned the surroundings, the adrenaline still rushed through his veins, however, Mask on! had yet to activate. This meant Ike wouldn't be able to use his skills, or fight as effectively as he could. Time to get serious had been enough to deal with the lesser threats but he needed more power ... Realizing this Ike refrained from charging into the fray, choosing to deal with the ants threatening the squad's flank. To his right a member of the back-up squad got pounced by an ant, Ike reacted just fast enough, kicking the ant off the warrior and piercing through its body with his sword. Ike extended his hand to the grounded warrior, assisting the man in getting back up to his feet. "Help me protect the right flank, we'll switch out positions. You keep them distracted, defending yourself with your shield, on my mark you'll leap back and I will finish it off." Ike commanded the warrior, who was clearly more experienced than he was. However, the warrior agreed to Ike's plan, raising his shield as the man walked over towards the flanking ants. Sure enough the ants fell for the bait and attacked the shielded warrior. Using the tactic Ike and the man dealt pretty efficiently with the ants' right flank group, eventhough the two of them couldn't kill them all.
Odin’s Expedition Loud noises affect some of the group more than others, and Shigure was sadly one of those affected more. Hands dropping her weapons as she covered her head and pushed her ears down to stop the ringing in her ears. Her eyes closing tightly as the sound dropped not only her guard but herself to the ground as she tried to get it out of her head. The fall of the young assassin was enough for a ant to take the chance and spit acid right at her mask and torso. The pain not fully registering to her as she smelled steam and snapped back into reality throwing her cloak and what remained of her mask aside to avoid the acid spreading. "Dam it… Dam it … DAM IT!!!!!!!! Only Hades is supposed to see me uncloaked!” Shigure’s voice was mixed with pure rage and followed by her hissing loudly at the ants for causing her such trouble. Tail flicking out as the hairs stood on end and her ears slowly rose from her hair. Left hand tightly wrapping the remains of her Katana before she lunged forward thrusting the weapon upward through bottom of the ant’s skull until she could see the blade poke out the upper side of the head. Acid fell on her hand as she kept hissing while moving her hand away. "DIE!!!!” Shigure was angry, and with that she was getting reckless. Her figure moving forward as she slammed her elbow into a adventure's lower jaw to get their weapon to fall into her free right hand. She could care less what they had to say to her as she swung the sword downward to kill another ant in her path while rushing forward. Throwing the sword to the ground as she ran towards a slightly more armored adventurer and used them as a springboard. Legs tensed before she jumped onto their shoulders and then pushed off them to send her into the front lines. Arms moving to her sides to draw out her shuriken, eight in total as she landed in the center of a small group of ants clearly not concerned with her well being at the moment. Arms and figure spinning as she unloaded her first set of throwing stars into the mouths of the ants before drawing more and keeping her barrage for three spins and three sets of eight before the group of ants fell. Fangs bared at the remaining ants around her, Left hand reaching into her shuriken bag while the right pulled a smoke bomb and got ready to use it. Her temper was getting her to act out, and if she throw down a smoke bomb it would no doubt cause others some trouble. "Die, Die, Die, DIE!” Right arm lifting up before she threw her smoke bomb at her feet covering the five foot area around her in smoke. Anyone trying to reach her would lose their vision, but her hissing and the sound of acid hitting objects gave a clear-ish idea where she was for the moment. Actions taken: Action I: Falls to knees due to the loud sound, suffers the loss of her mask, cloak, and damage to her neck minor. Action II: Shoves Katana through ant skull losing the weapon. Action III: Hits NPC to get their weapon and use it to kill another ant before discarding it. Action IV: Jumps off the shoulders of a different NPC before using 24 shuriken to kill eight baby ants. Action V: Throws smoke bomb at feet, current state unknown. Thread type: Closed Expedition
The sound of the ants and the hatching of all those eggs was starting to get to the inexperienced young girl. What was happening? Why was she starting to sweat and tremble. No! Heroes feel no fear of monsters! This was so shameful to her father.... it wasn't even a Overlord, or a Demon God, or a Elder Wyrm, or a... or a... darn this! Lilian saw she was receiving help from two adventurers now. A strong looking warrior with a great shield and a masked man. They both were dealing with the very ants she was supposed to be facing. Now there were more ants than before and the fighting became so intense. She wasn't trained enough for this. Most of these fighters probably had the protection of some god or another... Lilian had only her wits and her family legacy. Was that enough? How could she overcome her fear and inexperience to be like her ancestors and stand strong in this new era of falna's and dungeons that seemed to even scare the gods themselves? It was becoming too stressful. The girl gripped her fathers sword tightly. She had not made a move in awhile. Oh no... what if others saw her choke now? What if she was no longer capable of being a hero then? Lilian wiped her hand across her forehead and quietly began to recite a mantra her father taught her during bed time stories. Slowly her confidence was returning... she had to fight. It was in situations just like this that heroes proved themselves as the protectors of justice! Lilian couldn't miss this chance! She just couldn't! Seeing the two split up and take on different groups of ants. It still was not enough, they would be overrun eventually... probably. The heroine wannabe couldn't tell just how strong everyone was at their best. She could not take it anymore. Lilian had to block out her fears and anxiety. This was her first real battle and she had to do this! "ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!! FACE JUSTICE YOU CREEPY BUGS!" Lilian rushed passed the shield user and began to hack without care of the acid. Her father's sword looping through freshly hatched bugs as goop began to fly everywhere. Mostly on her. The sound of sizzling was rising as the awkward young Felding kept pushing her self past more and more ants. At the end of what many would view as a long kamikaze like charge (and truth be told it sorta was), another ant crawled out from the tunnel ahead.of her. Not losing her momentum now, Lilian rushed it and began to hack the thing to pieces with her 10-HIT COMBO! Automatically falling into her pose as the pieces of bug laid behind her. Lilian dropped to her knees. Her body was burning, her arms were tired, her head ached from the smell and the tension. This was what a hero did all the time... How was she going to do this? Well... at least she did her part hopefully. Lilian wanted to keep as many safe as possible. Even if her life would be lost. Why did she have to be so weak and scared? Breathing heavily and the Justice Bringer laid on the ground in front of her, covered in goop. She started to feel a little dizzy.... this was bad. A strange sound came from the tunnel ahead. The girl had her head looking down at the ground as she panted for air. A shadow slowly crept over her. It was large enough to cover her whole body..... Her eyes widened and heart almost stopped.... Lilian was unsure what that was but if it was what she thought it might be... maybe she should not have gone this far ahead. Oh crud. Lilian spent several minutes with internal fears and anxiety over the battle. Lilian broke out of her thoughts and blanketed her fear with a charge through the ants ranks. Finishing with Sword Dance of Justice. Cutting a swath through them right up to what might just be the Queen's Chamber. Lilian is suffering heavy damage and fatigue from the acid and spent energy. She is in a near K.O./Red Health state. Lilian may become supper for something really big and nasty.
Korra couldn't help heaving a sigh, though things were going bad, she moved and lived at only a single speed when affectionate attention wasn't involved. It caused her to view the frantic development with a calm and tranquil exterior regardless of how panicked things might have been in reality. "Just don't exhaust yourselves, the longer you can last the better." Korra offered advice even as she continued playing the Lute, this time a sharp twang came from a string as she pulled it as she spoke a short incantation. "Healing Hymn; Sing" She spoke causing a soft sound to touch the air for Lilian, her serious injuries and heavy damage belting away, peeling off of her like flakes of light. It was Korra's role to provide healing, but she didn't offer her services until they were most necessary. The creature looming over her was covered in bright white scales, a bushy mane around it's neck and an azure spiral horn on it's head. It had been ferrying the injured around the battlefield since things had started, even occasionally passing supplies around and medicines. This time it thrust it's head forward forcing that horn into the body of an infant ant before trying to bite down on Lilian's clothes to use them as a hand hold to carry the girl away from the fray while the magic worked itself out on her. "Infant insects will still be soft, not like the ones who come out of the walls, they shouldn't be hard to take out." Korra offered more advice as she tried to situate herself at the center of everyone where the dangers of combat wouldn't reach her. She wanted to keep her focus on everyone else rather then herself. While you occupy yourself with taking care of the hatchlings and worker ants darting toward the Queen’s chamber en masse, something large slowly made its way down the tight corridor. It’s body was so massive that it tore up the tunnel’s interior as it moved through, crushing any straggling adventurers caught in its path. Despite its gargantuan size, the creature was completely silent as though a ghost. Given this, not a single one of you had heard it approach, baring its massive jaw from the shadow. “Oy! Pay attention, you lot!!!” a booming voice could be heard as a young man with flowing lavender hair darted past Lilian and brandished his sword, pointing the tip into the horror hidden in the dark. With his sword drawn, he spent a few second filling the tunnel with his smooth voice, performing some kind of magical chant. When he finished, orbs began forming and swirling around his sword. Then, with a downward sweep of his blade, he sent the orbs to the roof above the monster, revealing its pure black body for a second before triggering a collapse of the ceiling that buried it. “Get up or you’re going to become ant food,” the man said as he extended his hand toward Lilian, intending on getting her up on her legs once more. “P-prince Baldur!!!” a man shouted as he ran up to the lavender-haired youth. From his breathlessness and hunched over posture, it seemed that he had ran quite a way back from the Queen's chamber. “P-prince, please come back to the front, Galyus got impaled as he tried to hold back one of the hordes surrounding us, we need you on the front-line or I'm afraid our raid team will fall apart… the Queen may have been fell, but we can’t get through the thick shell surrounding her heart to retrieve the soul stone. Anymore time wasted and our force will be crushed by her army…” After spending some time assessing the situation, Prince Baldur turned his head toward you and asked in a humble tone, “for those who could continue to fight, please follow me, I’d rather not see any more allies die today. Anyone who can no longer fight should seek shelter in a chamber somewhere and stay out of the primary tunnel here, the Ghost Crusher will kill you if you are caught in its path. I was only able to waylay it briefly, it will be here soon. Come on, let’s go!” Baldur pointed his sword toward the front-line, showing the group of young adventurers where to go before he dashed down the winding tunnel. From the whispers circulating around you, it seemed that the Prince personally ran down the tunnel to make sure all the low-ranking adventurers were safe. It seemed his hunch was right as the silent giant's been stomping through the tunnels unbeknownst to anyone without monster detection skills. For the first time in your life, you are addressed directly by Baldur vi Eusticus, the 1st born of the Eusticus royal family that lord over the Orarian domain. From what you know, the young prince is one of Odin’s most favored adventurers and a strong contender for the crown in the foreseeable future. ... Final post cycle. Marzipan knew that she was becoming more exhausted by the minute. It didn't help that some acid has splashed onto her clothing and it was now rotting away. She didn't pay it much mind, though, until some globs of acid landed on bare skin. She hissed in pain as the acid did its work, though she didn't try rubbing it. If she did, she feared it would get all over the place and make the wound worse. Just then, a booming voice made itself known. One of the adventurers seemed to have come forward and was now directing the raid party to either come with him or hide. She frowned as she heard the name "Ghost Crusher." Whatever that was, she she assumed that it was highly dangerous. She didn't want to find out exactly what it was. "Hang on! You have my support!" She put away one of her swords and fumbled with her bag to get out another square piece of lembas bread. She began to eat as she followed the able bodied adventurers, some giving her hard looks when they noticed she was eating on the go. But the bread had done its work, she was feeling her strength returning. Once she had wolfed the bread down, she drew out her other sword again, her eyes smoldering with an unknown light. She would not fall here, not matter what. Acid lands on Marzipan and starts eating away at her She hears Prince Baldur's command Follows the prince to the front line while eating lembas to restore her energy
Odin's Expedition Shigure was not a fan of anyone from the upper class group of citizens. So when she heard the voice of the new arrival she could only hiss deep in her throat. Left fingers twitched with annoyance with someone bossing her around again. "Freaking people need to stop yelling orders!" Shigure spoke loud enough as the smoke around her cleared. Her tail was flicking around with annoyance as she held an ant pincer in each hand dripping with the acid still. Around her a few ants twitched still alive but rendered immobile. "Next person who orders me around is getting a dam pincer in the back of their dam neck!" Shigure spun the improvised weapon as she issued the threat. After turned to face her pray and finish them off she dropped the weapons and changed her demeanor it seemed. A playful smile crossing her face as her tail waved happily and she skipped over to get the monster crystals before following the bunny girl and the prince. "I'm still wanting to kill stuff and if that big things comes back that should be a fun fight, but this way seems to have more foes so forward!" Shigure pointed in the direction they had been going with one hand as she jumped around happily. The burns at her neck not even seeming to faze her as she followed without much words after that. Her hands digging around in her bags checking what she still had left to use for the fighting. "Nyaa, I got a few shuriken, my spike traps, oh and smoke bombs ... but no close combat weapons... annoying acid... Ruined my Umbrella too." Playful tone as she held a hand full of Shuriken between her finger gaps, her mind debating on if she should throw them at the prince or not. Anyone looking at her could tell she was leaning towards attack the royal member. Actions Action I: Reveal among downed ants. Action II: Issues threat to everyone. Action III: Follows to the next battle location. Action IV: Checks her remaining weapons. Action V: Debates attacking the Prince.
Korra couldn't help sighing heavily seeing the disturbed girl's response, rolling her eyes a little she reached out a hand to try and bop her gently to keep her focused on the task at hand rather then ruminating on things that were troublesome or problematic for the team. "Success or failure is hinging on this, take it seriously; Even if we're helping Odin's familia, your familia should have a stake in this too." She complained before turning towards the prince uncertain on whether or not she should still fight. She wasn't afraid of mind down, at least not so soon, she'd been very moderate and sparing in her magics since arriving only using it to preserve life where necessary and keep those on the front line in manageable condition but there was no telling how quickly that would dry up if she followed along with the Prince. "I should get a ranged weapon of some kind-- Something for these sorts of situations, something easy I wonder, a crossbow perhaps." Korra frowned in thought wondering about how she could provide more support in these situations. Even if she had a great deal of experience in the dungeon, this was one of her first adventures so deep, she was used to simply staying back like a princess, but finding it to be less and less effective, she needed more. Her style needed to change. Glancing around to the left over adventurers in wonder, not everyone of them would follow the prince she thought, surely they all wouldn't need their tools. "If I could find one here, it might not be so bad-- Though I'm not exactly a ranger. Does anyone have spare equipment? I'm going with the Prince and want to be able to offer as much support as possible. Anything that you yourselves do not need, please give to Kirin." She spoke as the horse would try to make a round to the wounded or fearful adventurers to gather what it could before joining with Korra to follow behind the prince. In a flash, he was back at the chamber where the gargantuan Queen ant was held down against her will, roaring in pain as a number of adventurers were trying to break through her back where the soul stone is embedded. This area is protected by a powerful shell that no weapon could penetrate. When he arrived at the scene, he immediately brandished his sword and began to chant once more, aiming his powerful spirit spell at the army of insects trying to break through the makeshift barricades his familia had constructed. When a man came up to the prince and offered to take over his role, the lavender-haired youth rushed over to the squirming queen. He would cast his spell and attempted to break though, however, the attack didn’t leave a single mark. Jumping back to analyze the ant, he eventually noticed that the underside of the queen’s abdomen was soft. “Turn her over,” he shouted, “we are going to have to open up its stomach and have someone crawl up to its heart and break it from the inside! Any, uh, volunteer?” The prince turned to his men and the adventurers who followed him. If nobody volunteered, he was going to take up the task himself. It was unbefitting for a candidate of the throne… but there were so close to the entrance leading down to the 8th floor.
Odin's Expedition Shigure did not see any eager people in the brief moment her patients lasted. So walking over to someone who seemed rather terrified of the idea before taking his weapon from his hands and walking over to the queen ant. "Don't get the wrong idea, I ain't doing this for anyone. I want to see what the inside of a monster looks like is all!" Her free hand moving to try and push the prince and anyone away before she jumped on top of the queen and got ready to cut her open. Her action to prevent anyone from getting covered with the Acid before she jumped in when the bulk of the acid poured out the wide cut. Shigure could barely see anything from inside the ant queen. "Not as interesting as I thought it would be..." A low tone growl escaping her lips as she began crawling inside looking for the heart for a few moments. To keep herself from focusing on the pain of the acid she kept slashing the insides of the queen, no doubt making it harder for those trying to hold it down. Eventually finger her mark as she stabbed what remained of the weapon into the crystal. Ant queen fading as Shigure was revealed even worse then when she entered. Her armor was almost all destroyed, and her skin was burnt badly in several places. She was nobody's tank, but she knew enough about pain that her mind could distract from it long enough to get things down. Handing the hilt of the weapon back to the owner before she turned and fainted from pushing herself to far. Her body twitching slightly to show she was still alive, but clearly in a lot of pain. Actions Action I: Takes weapon from started person. Action II: Moves people away from queen to avoid acid hitting them. Action III: Jumps into queen, starts cutting at random due to no vision until queen dies. Action IV: Returns hilt of weapon to wonder before collapsing from pain.
While everything progressed Lilian was left further back. She was healed slightly but her body still felt as weak as a kitten. The Justice Bringer took all her strength just to lift off the ground. It seemed her role here had come to a end. She would need to rest some more before she could fight on and things were moving quickly. While she rested on the dungeon floor she heard the sound of the Queen Ant's body being torn apart by Shigure. Lilian was not sure what exactly was happening but hopefully everyone would be alright. Lilian tried to reassure herself that she did enough for now, but the young hero doubted it. Is resting behind the party front lines.
