@Hinabi Parvati didn't wait to get a party comprised of other adventurers and supporters. No, if she wanted to practice her magic, then she would do so alone. It was why she came down into the Dungeon, to become stronger both magically and physically. Unfortunately there were just too many witnesses in the first two floors, so she decided to go a little bit deeper. She grimaced as she used Flame Dance on a kobold that was in her way. She had already weakened it with several strikes from her scimitar and had dealt the finishing blow with her magic. She picked up the soul stone left behind and pocketed it. She hadn't been using her magic much, just two times. But she wanted to practice more. So what if she got mind down? She'd be able to recover from it quickly for her body was strong, right? Shaking her head, the Amazoness headed deeper into the heart of the Dungeon. A little while later of slaying some goblins, she managed to stumble across a hole that slanted downwards. Her eyes lit up. Was that the entrance to the fourth floor? Surely no one would be there, right? She didn't hesitate to go down, intent on reaching further and further. The atmosphere felt thick from the humidity in the fourth level. She couldn't help but start to sweat as she jogged briskly down one cavern. She came across some splits and decided to take the middle path. Surely there would be something of note, right? It wasn't long before she came upon a pack of kobolds, along with the odd goblin. “Flames that flicker in the darkness, surround your enemy and dance to the beat of their heart!” she chanted, "Flame Dance!" The embers encircled one of the monsters, closing in on it as it tried to slash it with its bare hands. For some reason, Parvati was feeling tired, like she couldn't even lift up her weapon. She stood her ground as the creatures charged at her, fighting with tooth and nail. "Out of my way!" she growled as she slashed at a goblin. The creature shrieked as she gutted it and it disappeared. Unfortunately this made her open for an attack and she hissed as one kobold began raking her back. The situation seemed hopeless as she flailed her scimitar while she was being attacked. I can't die here! she thought to herself as she backed off, finding herself pinned to a wall. She gritted her teeth as she got into a fighting stance, hands holding her sword trembling.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi was not expecting to run into anyone today on the forth floor like always. It was always his place of solitude since he got his stats updated by his goddess. Staff clicking against the ground as his tails flicked around in the air behind him. When he heard someone yelling his ears twitched to face it before he ran over. He was always worried about others, and when he arrived to see a girl against the wall with kobold around her he quickly acted without thinking. Bare feet kicking off the ground as he entered a full sprint, staff lowered to his side before he slammed it to the ground using it to launch himself over the small group of kobold and landing between the girl and the monster rather ungracefully. Hands warping his staff as he slammed it against the ground and started his chant. "Magic wall arise, protect those who shall not die on my watch!" The kobold rushing forward before a wall of light blocked their path letting them slam against it as Hinabi looked over his shoulder. "Are you ok miss?" Kindness lined his words, yet his fangs showed clearly as he spoke. returning his focus onto his magic as the kobold slammed into it again, small cracks forming around the edges as he tried to hold it longer. "I'm not the best with magic miss, so I can only hold this for so long... I can move the wall to push them back so you can escape." Hinabi would give her no time to complain about the plan as she lifted his staff and began to walk forward, the wall moving in reply to his own movement. It was a strain he did not like to use all that often. But as he approached another tunnel her began to turn his figure, the wall pushing the kobold into a different tunnel blocked by the wall as he set the staff into the ground again. "Go, i'll be right behind you to make sure you get out safe." Hinabi looked slightly over his shoulder with a closed mouth smile as the Kobold busted a hole in his wall. It was enough for their hand to slash his arms but Hinabi kept firm until he knew the girl was getting away from the area. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati didn't expect anyone to come to her aid. Just then, a Runarl got between the kobolds and her and threw up a shield. Her shock was only for a moment before heated anger and embarrassment arose. A man. A man had saved her. How low could she have sunken, to be saved by a man? "Fine," she said curtly as he moved the barrier so that she could make their escape. "I would have been able to do it right..." But alas, she was already feeling tired for some reason and she doubted she could get her strength up to properly fight and not make mistakes without some rest. Throwing a glare at the Runarl, she began running away from the scene, a bit slow since she was still feeling fatigue.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi did not want to resort to using violence to make sure they got out of the fourth floor alive. But as the cracks connected across his light wall be was forced to abounded the defense sooner then he had hope to hold it. Moving his staff sideways as he began to walked backwards before the wall shattered to pieces and the Kobold rushed forward. His fangs baring at the monsters causing them just a slight hesitation before they rushed with more anger towards he fox. "Tisk, that went wrong." Hinabi spoke under his breath as he swung his staff behind his back and slapped it to a Kobold's neck as it came back to his front side. Twirling it back the way it had came before gripping with both hands and pushing the kobold back with the weapon as he kept walking backwards. He was not going to be able to keep up his defense while walking backwards, eyes glancing behind him to check where he was walking as he felt a sharp pain cross his right shoulder. Turning back to see a kobold biting into his shoulder and blood rolling down his arm. His temper starting to flicker up to a boil as she tried to shake the creature off while swinging his staff to keep others off him. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati hadn't gone very far, her face heated up with embarrassment. A man had just saved her. A freaking man. She swore in her native Telskyurian language as she kicked a wall. She was not happy over that fact, being the damsel in distress. At least that Runarl did serve her by protecting her with a barrier. But still, he was a man. The Amazoness glared back at the place she had left him. If she could, she would've continued the fight. She paused at that thought. ...Why not continue it now? Maybe the man was dead at this point, or maybe he needed her help. Either way, I must see for myself if I am about to be followed, she thought to herself as she turned around and went back to where the kobolds were. The scene she arrived to was not a pretty one. Now the Runarl was the one being attacked and needed help. She sighed. "Of course..." she muttered in her native language before charging with her scimitar in tow. She slashed at one of the kobolds, causing it to growl and snap at her. "It would seem you need help," she said curtly as she slashed at its face. It howled and rubbed its newfound wound.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi kept swinging his staff at the kobold before him, his head turning to the girl as he smiled like a fool before he spoke to her. "What gave you that idea? I have everything under ... control." Hinabi took a moment to pause his comment as he forcefully pulled the Kobold from his shoulder and tossed it over to his buddies. "If you could listen I could worry less young miss. Please fall back, I'll be behind you eventually." Hinabi twirled his staff with his right hand, to be honest he highly doubted he could get out of this if the girl was beside him. If her tried to resort to violence he could not assure himself enough that his hostility would not sink it's fangs into her also. "I tend to fight better when Im allow, gives me less things to worry about like protecting princesses like yourself young miss." Hinabi stopped spinning his staff before trusting it to hit a kobolds neck causing it to gasp for air from the direct impact. Drops of blood hitting the floor from his left arm, he was badly hurt, but kept the foolish grin on his face, he could not show his fears. If he did not who was to say the young girl would not give up hope and resign her life? Grip tightening on his staff as he rushed forward despite his state. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati couldn't help but be disgusted by the man's chivalry. Like her, he was cocky about being able to fight back. Unlike her, however, it was born from experience. She didn't know that, though, nor did she want to learn about him. Any sort of man in her presence was immediately marked as lower than dirt, especially with backhanded comments about their supposed superiority. "I will not fall back, as you say," the Amazoness said as she stabbed the kobold she'd been fighting, "I will...ergh, help fight..." She slashed wildly at the kobold, her strength ebbing. She still had no idea why she was so tired. "Grr..." She shot a glare at her opponent and slashed across its belly. It howled before disappearing, leaving behind a soul stone.
Digging yourself deeper "Then at least do me a favor and sit back to rest a bit. You seem to have pushed yourself a bit to much when using your magic, your only going to get hurt at the rate your going." Hinabi spoke as a Kobold bit into his right arm, his head slamming down onto the creature's head to get it to let go before he snapped his jaw at it's neck ripping a good chunk off as he growled. His limit to deal with pain sanely was reached. His staff falling to the ground as he kept growling while he lowered himself towards the ground. Blood dripping from his mouth before he lunged at the last three kobold, right hand arcing across the mid rift of the first kobold before Hinabi landed and lunged again, this time lodging his teeth into another Kobold's neck and refusing to let go as the other two Kobold bit into each of his arms at his shoulders. Slowly he began to stand picking up all three of the creatures with his rise before running them all into a wall, his teeth snapping the neck of one kobold, while the other to let go of his arms during the impact. His eyes seemed glassed over, or akin to a beast while he fought no differently then the Kobold. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati had to pause when the man mentioned that using her magic had technically pushed herself to far. "I do not understand what you are saying. Magic pushing me far? What is that supposed to mean?" she asked as she watched Hinabi slam all three kobolds into the wall. She was honestly jealous of the sheer strength he displayed. She didn't notice she was breathing heavily, whether from exertion or anger, she did not know. She would have handled them just fine if he hadn't come in and ruined it. She never should have run away when he told her so. She should have never listened to a man. She could only look on in jealousy and disgust as Hinabi dealt with the kobolds.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi was in no mental state that would allow him to speak to Parvati fluidly. So he chose to not even try as he focused on his prey only growling as he lowered his stance. His left arm was not moving much, a simple twitch every so often, and his right was not much better. As Kobolds rushed forward he mirrored them. Teeth snapping at the arm of one kobold while getting bitten by the same kobold to his already weakened left arm. The other Kobold went towards the girl drawing Hinabi's focus slightly. Letting go of the Kobold he had in his teeth before toes tried to grip his staff and raise it to trip toe kobold before it reached the girl. Dropping the weapon before moving his leg to knee the Kobold that was biting him and relock his teeth, this time at the neck of the creature as her shook his head to rip the wound open more. Setting after a few seconds as he tried to close his jaw fully and pull away from the kobold ripping a part of it's neck out before he spit it out looking to the girl. If she was still fighting the kobold he would try to slam it down to the ground with his weight while biting for the neck, if not he would hold his head and try to recover his sense of humanity. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati had watched the exchange between the Runarl and the kobolds, feeling useless. She did not like the feeling at all, she'd rather be productive in some way. And to be productive down where they were, she had to fight. But this Runarl, this man, refused to let her fight, using chivalry as an excuse to not let her fight. Her eyes narrowed at the kobold that was going after her and her lips twitched into a small smile. Finally, she would be able to fight. She took the opportunity when the monster tripped and rushed forward, slashing at it with her scimitar. It growled as it lunged at her, trying to pin her down. It was successful, for she was knocked onto her back and found herself trying to push away the creature so that it wouldn't bite her neck. She swore curses at it in her own language as well as yell at it, fighting back by socking it in the jaw. The kobold growled and shrugged off her annoying punches while trying to get to her throat. She was having none of that, for she tried to move the scimitar close to her neck so it would get a mouthful of steel instead. It protected her somewhat, though it continued to struggle to bite her throat.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi could not risk getting that close to the girl. So he simply hoped she could hold her own while he fought to get his bloodlust back under control. The process causing him to hold his head and stagger around, at some point slamming his head against the wall of the dungeon to seal the job as he rubbed the bump with his right hand. Not asking her if she needed help he reached to pull the ears of the Kobold and pulled it back, hopefully giving a clear signal for the girl to stab it. His grip was weak and if she did not act within a few moments the kobold would resume trying to go after her as he looked out of stamina. his figure falling down to take a seat as he held his left shoulder. Right hand trying to pull out his bandages from his side bag, but the amount of blood he had already lost caused his grip to loosen and drop the roll of cloth each time he tried to pick it back up. An annoyed expression as he kept trying to pick it up. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati continued to fight for dear life as the kobold continued to try and bite her throat. She saw her life flashing before her eyes. Her mother, fighting her sisters, the journey to Orario, all of it flashed before her eyes. She got annoyed by it. She wasn't ready to die quite yet and besides, they didn't bring up any good memories. The Amazoness saw her chance when the kobold got its ears pulled back, causing its head to jerk upwards. She stabbed the creature in the throat, doing so several times so that blood sprayed in her face. The growl turned into a cough as it struggled to breathe in air instead of blood. Parvati wiggled out of the kobold's grasp and crawled away. She grimaced as she did so, for if the man saw her in that position, eh might take it as defeat.
Digging yourself deeper "Glad ... to see ... your safe... Miss..." Hinabi managed to speak between heavy breaths. His body turning pale while he did his best not to upset his wounds anymore then he already had. His shoulders, and elbows on both sides of his body had been bitten into, and his left forearm also had a bite. Sitting there he still managed a weak smile to the girl as he reached for his cloth roll only hitting it further away. Right hand forming a fist as he slammed the ground with annoyance. "Butter ... fingers... always .... a pain..." More forced words as he tried to make light of his situation. Even if the girl was not worried about his state he thought she was, so he would keep trying to smile. his only real train of thought was countless apologizes he would have to give his goddess in the afterlife. he had promised to stay beside her until the familia had other members again and he was about to break that promise. Fist clenching tighter as his right arm bled out more as a result, he was stubborn to try and keep his promise. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati watched as the monster disappeared, leaving behind a soul stone. She picked it up and put it in her bag. Well, that was a good workout, despite the fact that a man had told her to flee and she had stupidly listened to him. At least she came back and managed to defeat two kobolds. She was still a little angry she had to work with him. Speaking of which, where was he? She looked around until her gaze fell upon his wounded form. She stared at him as he tried and failed to get the cloth roll in his hand. Here he was, with many wounds all over his body. She didn't know how to react to what was before her. On one hand, it was a fellow adventurer that needed help. On the other hand, he was a man and she didn't like men. Going over to the cloth roll, she callously kicked it into his direction. She wasn't going to say anything to him and she hoped he didn't take the gesture the wrong way. She didn't care whether he lived or died, but at least she showed some "decency" when she kicked the roll towards him.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi managed to get a grip on the roll this time, slowly lifting it to his mouth to get it to start to unroll before he realized he only had one arm to work with. His left still limn at his side as he started to chuckled faintly, small amounts of blood dripping from his wounds in the process. Right hand pressing to the ground as he left the roll there and struggled to get up. His wounds starting to reopen causing him to fall back down growling. "Figures... Knew ... I should ... have bought that heavy armor ..." Trying to stand once more as he leaned against the right side wall looking around with faded eyes. Slowly running his hand against the wall before he stopped moving. "Forgot ... my staff ..." Turning around as he fell towards the left wall so he could support his body while running his good arm along the wall to keep his focus. Reach doing to pick up the old rusty staff before he slammed into the right wall and tried to resume his walk to exit the dungeon. he was in no state to be moving, but he could not tend his own wounds, nor did he want to hinder the girl anymore then he already had. @Parvati Roshan
@Hinabi Parvati grunted as the man managed to get ahold of the roll. Good, then she could leave. Without a second thought, she began making her way deeper into the Dungeon, away from the man that had tried to save her life. He was successful in it, but it just made her feel humiliated and angry when she thought about it. The thought of helping him barely crossed her mind. It was just another adventurer that pushed themselves to the limit, and a man at that. If hee died, it was no skin off her nose. One less man in the world, she thought to herself, shrugging the idea off. Considering his state, she didn't believe he would make it. Oh well.
Digging yourself deeper Hinabi could feel himself getting weaker each step he tried to push forward towards the third floor. His breaths shortening, his eyes starting to blur and close. he had to keep going, he had to make it back to the tower of babel to ask someone to tend to his wounds or at least help him do it. Legs giving way underneath him as he fell face first to the ground. Right arm slowly reaching out from under him as he gripped the ground and began to drag himself forward. He did not know if it was his dying eyes playing tricks on him or reality as blurs began to come into view and rush towards him. he could not fully hear what any were trying to say but he kept reaching forward and dragging himself until he passed out from the pain. His mind taking him to his room at the familia house, his wife resting her head on his lap as they looked out the window. He turned to see what would have been his child to be. And then he saw fire and everything went black. But he was not dead just yet. @Parvati Roshan
