Soren had heard that there was going to be a homeless shelter opening for the people that needed it. Thing was, they needed help in moving everything and cleaning up the space so that others could start building the shelter. With that in mind, the dark elf had decided to come and help with the cleaning.

The boy didn't look disgusted at the amount of trash there was in the vicinity. Rather, he felt a twinge of something hurtful in his heart at the looks of the site. Looks like they were going to have to do a lot of cleaning if they wanted to get the job done.

Heaving a sigh, the boy approached a man, intent on asking what he should be doing first. "Excuse me?" he asked, "Can you direct me to what I should be doing first to help?" The man gave him a warm smile and a clap on the back that made him stumble forward.

"Glad you're here to help. For starters, why not take some of these bags of garbage out of the way? Just ask the others where to put them, they know what to do." Soren nodded.

"Thank you, sir!" And with that, he approached a large garbage bag and began carrying it alongside the others that were moving the trash and rubble aside.

  2. One of many clearing things out was Kessler. Endeavoring to support those who couldn't support themselves was a normal thing for him. Though his armored hands and clothing were in some ways a little overdressed for the occasion, Kessler wasn't someone who had a great deal himself either, his clothing was limited forcing him to go out in his adventurer gear as if this were another dive into hell. Carrying trash though was much easier for him, with his strength the bags weren't too difficult to hoist up and carry on.

At the very least, he could carry a few in his arms as he walked towards the cart loading the trash onto it for it to be taken away. He wasn't sure whether they'd be burning or burying it but no matter where it went it would be better then here, he understood that well. Though Kessler was far more concerned with the sharper and pointier things, like discarded tools or weapons, dangerous things that others might run into or fall on.

Originally he'd worried that places like this would be a place where crime would fester and grow, he was at least glad that it seemed like there were no shady characters lurking about. "Trash and leveling the ground I think was what this job called for yes? I don't think it'll take all that long." He thought out loud knowing that he could likely handle the ground leveling himself with his technique. "You guys doing okay?" He asked glancing back to Soren and their companion with a weary expression hoping that the other pair didn't push themselves.
