[megathread] All-hallows Eve

Discussion in 'Old City' started by Osiris, Oct 31, 2016.

  1. Osiris' Adobe
    Late Evening - Early Night

It was around the late evening, long after the sun had already sunk below the horizon, that a crowd began to form in front of Osiris’ adobe. Despite being a god that is not exactly known for partying like Zeus, Bacchus, or Dionysus, he definitely knew how to pull a crowd and keep them entertained. This makes this particular party, which is meant to celebrate the day the deceased successfully move on to the afterlife all the more special for an underworld god like him. To make things more engaging, Osiris put out a notice that warns the attendees that they must arrive in a costume and what he deemed as the top three costumes would be rewarded.

While mortals have to wait in the long queue outside of the building, Gods are freely let through by the entrance security. Upon entering the Egyptian inspired building, you are greeted by freshy, linen-wrapped mummies who welcome you to the All-hallows Eve (known as Halloween in the present day) and top you off with either barley beer or fruity wine. If you asked, they also carry non-alcoholic beverages. With a drink or two in hand, you will next notice the large, dark room with colorful lights highlighting either some of the best or the worst costumes you have ever laid eyes on. Considering the elaborate décor, mummy servers and dancers, and Osiris familia adorned in Egyptian attire while working to keep the party going, you could tell that Osiris has been preparing for this event well in advance. There are plenty of food and music to go around and gods and mortals alike engaging in talking, dancing, or other silly things inebriated people do.

If you dawdled, not knowing what venue to pursue, you would feel an arm around your neck. “You have got to try these Egyptians snacks, they are simply the best. The god of Egypt guarantees it!” Osiris said as he flashed you a welcoming smile.

  2. It would not take long for news of a party to reach the ears of the chaos origin. While Khaos leaned towards acts of violence and torment for the more hasty, strong and long term effects that they had. Less dangerous things were also capable of getting some energy out of her surroundings. Khaos did love herself a good party. Especially with the backdrop of tension that has been developing. The developments could be led exactly to where she wanted it. Khaos would just party hard in the meantime and wait for the right game pieces to show themselves to her.

Khaos arrived at the party with complete knowledge that the god's could transform freely here for their costumes. Taking on another form was actually harder on Khaos than some gods may realize. Her constantly chaotic state had been difficult enough to contain into her current form so being any one thing was very tricky for her to do. It was dangerous as well since during form switching she may cause damage to her surroundings or distort them horribly. Well, the uncertainty was part of the fun after all.

Entering the room she immediately announced loudly.

"A party between gods and mortals Osiris? Yes release your inhibitions and indulge in the life that you were meant to have! Marvelous!"

Laughing in her usual madness she immediately began to wander and look for the must chaos emitting group. The night was still young so nothing was too wild yet.

Parvati had heard of the party held by one of the gods. She was no stranger to parties, for back at home her mother would host them every so often and they would have to dress up nicely for the occasion while meeting with other Amazonesses. This one was different, though. She had to go into a costume, a set of clothing that resembled someone or something else. She was intrigued by it, she had never heard of that kind of party before. And who knows, it might be different from the parties her mother would hold or the ones she had to go to.

She pulled the hood down as she waited in line. The line was long and filled with people, no doubt all of them intent on partying. She saw a few people that was able to get through immediately without having to go in line, though she didn't know what was so special about them that they were able to be granted immediate access. Perhaps she would find out once inside, perhaps not. She didn't know or care much, she was fine waiting in line.

Eventually she was allowed to enter and she noticed the decor immediately. This was something she hadn't expected, a dark room with colorful lighting. Already she could see other people entering and noticed that everyone was in some kind of foreign clothing that she assumed were the costumes. Everything looked so different that it overwhelmed her. She took a few tottering steps before regaining her composure and looking around the room.

She found some servers that had a tray of drinks in hand and immediately went towards them. "Pardon me, but what drinks are these?" she asked. She assumed the server was looking at her through the bandages as he spoke.

"Barley beer or wine, miss?" She blinked in surprise. So they were serving alcohol? She had never had any before, for she was usually too young to drink such things. She wondered what they tasted like.

"I would have the beer," she said after mulling over the options. The server handed her a drink and she took a sip. Fire poured down her throat and she recoiled from the taste. It was...strong. She would've asked for another drink, but her pride got in the way. "Thanks you," she said as she moved away from the server, taking sips of her beer. She didn't know what to do next. Mingle? Perhaps she could do that, but with who. She stood there standing for a few moments before making up her mind to wander aimlessly.

Soren had heard about the party that was being held by Osiris. A real party, like a birthday party. Soren had never gone to a party, bar the time he lived in his hometown when his friends or him hosted a party. This was his chance to do something different. He begged his father for him to go, to which he accepted. He even helped his son make the costume he was now wearing. He looked down at his costume with a grin. He was so excited to get the party started and was literally bouncing on the balls of his feet thinking about it. True he had to wait in line, but that didn't matter to him.

The boy was in line, right behind someone with animal ears on their hood. He couldn't help but think it looked cool, having ears on the hood. It made his own costume feel inadequate, but he didn't care. He was going to a party and that was all that mattered. While waiting in line, he looked around to see how everyone had dressed up. He peeked from the side to see people entering without the need for a line. He wondered how they got to do that, but only for a moment before his thoughts raced back to the costume party.

When he finally entered, he stood stock still at the atmosphere, paling slightly. A darkened room with lights and so many people walking around was what greeted the poor boy who was frozen in shock and fear. He hadn't expected this for a party, he was used to smaller ones. This one though...he didn't know what to think.

Someone bumping into him brought him out of his thoughts. He began to wander aimlessly, biting his lip as he tried to decide what to do from here. Would he participate in the events here? Or maybe go outside for a breath of fresh air? He didn't know, the boy was just too overwhelmed to think properly.

Then he noticed that he was a little hungry and thirsty. Well, maybe he should go find food. He wandered around the room aimlessly until he spotted several people going to a mummy and plucking the contents of the tray he was holding into their mouths. He hesitantly went over to the mummy. "Um, excuse me? May I take one?" he asked. The server nodded and he sighed in relief as he took a snack and popped it into his mouth. His eyes lit up at the taste. "May I have another, please?" Another nod.

"Take anything you need, we can always come back with more," the woman said. He grinned at her, looking into her eyes.

"Thank you so much!" He grabbed three more treats and began to wander again, munching on them. Now he was unsure what else to do. Maybe he'll walk around for a little while more before he decided to do anything. He wished his father had come, but the man had said he wasn't one for parties. Oh well, the boy will have his fun soon enough.

"A party for hosted by one of the gods, eh?" she had said to herself when she first found out. There weren't really any parties back in her hometown, barring birthday parties and weddings. So she had no idea what to do when she heard that it was a costume party and she had to dress up as someone else. But still, she wanted to go so she scrounged for some items and fixed the outfit herself.

She looked upon the long line with a frown, ears twitching slightly. This was definitely going to take a while, was it really that popular? She wasn't used to big parties like these. She watched as some people immediately entered, cutting others off in line. At least, that was how she saw it. Screw VIP, what about the long line outside?

By the time she finally entered, she had nearly tried to talk herself out of coming, thinking it was a waste of her time. She sighed as she was finally let in, only to freeze at the atmosphere the party generated. Holy moly there were so many people here! Someone bumping into her and swearing brought her back to reality as she numbly went ahead. A server came near and offered her either wine or beer. "Beer," she said simply as she took a glass and began drinking the concoction. It warmed her up somewhat as she began to wander the party, unsure of what to do next.

After that disaster of a Denatus meeting, Hestia needed time to apologize on behalf of her siblings. She figured that Osiris' costume party was the perfect place to apologize, if she could find the other gods. The thing was, she didn't really have a costume in mind. She couldn't go with her old cloak, unfortunately, so what was she to do? Then she spotted a pretty red cloak in the trading district, an idea forming in her head.

Now she was on her way to the party, dressed in red. She looked rather plain and would've been mistaken for a Pallum without any thought to the costume party if the bouncers hadn't recognized her face and let her in instantly. She pitied the people who had to wait in line as she entered, taking in the party atmosphere.

It was no different from a Denatus meeting, though with more life to it and less making important decisions for the good of the people. A server approached her and asked her what she wanted to drink. "Nothing alcoholic, please," she said. The server nodded.

"Follow me, then," she said as they went through the crowd of people. They eventually reached a counter where non-alcoholic were served. It proved to be a little crowded, but Hestia managed to wiggle her way through the crowd and towards the counter. "Do you have any juice?" she asked.

"What kind? We have a variety of juices here." She began to mull it over before finally deciding.

"Apple juice." He nodded and immediately bent down to grab the drink and pour a glass for her. She thanked the man and began wandering the room, looking for any sign of other gods in the process.

  7. Khaos couldn't help but wonder when Loki would make a entrance. She knew he would make efforts to steal the show. Such a attention getter he was. Khaos was not really as interested in being singled out and noticed... it just kinda happened. Being uncontrollable did that sometimes... well maybe all the the time.

Roaming around in her kooky getup. Khaos would find the dance floor. It piqued her interest instantly. Why wasn't anyone dancing crazy yet? Why was no one drunk on the floor and vomiting over everyone causing screams and creatures throwing juice into each others faces to incite rage that would bring in stabbings and gory murders on this All Hallows Eve? This night was perfect for such things. Alas everyone just partied like bland mortals with restraint. This needed to change....

Finally Khaos spotted Osiris and made her way to him. Looking at him with genuine interest and curiosity.

"Osiris. What a PARTEH ya hav' here. Khaos is sooo stoked! HaHAhaHA!"

She spoke in a goofy way as if drunk on chaos. Although it was really not so. No amount had ever made the primordial being truly overflow. It simply wasn't possible. Her warped personality was already building up from the atmosphere. It just made her want to drive it up to eleven though.

"It is AH BIT tooo dull for a parteh. Don't yaaa have anythin' GOOD planned for tonight?"

She picked up someone's cup of red juice nearby and dunked it on her head in front of him. Laughing as red fluid ran down her face.

It was odd how Celsius wound up here, in the abode of one of the gods of all places. Word had been going around that Lord Osiris was hosting a party for All Hallow's Eve this night, and many were invited, both gods and mortals alike. Originally, the Chienthrope hadn't planned on going as he wasn't really a "social butterfly" like a lot of the people in Orario tend to be. However, upon uttering such a thing in one of the local taverns, it appeared that the owner and her servers simply would not hear of such a thing. They said to be invited to a party by the gods was practically a blessing in itself, and to turn away from such would be the greatest disrespect! Of course, he already knew that they were over-exaggerating, but it didn't stop them from kidnapping him for the rest of the day and getting him to try on a number of costumes they had in their storage for such an occasion. After what had felt like hours of deliberating on which one would suit him the best, they finally came to a conclusion.

As he begrudgingly entered Osiris' grand establishment, he could already feel eyes turning to cast their gaze upon him, his features flushing a deep crimson as he hugged a stuffed rabbit close to his body. It was odd being dressed in something like this. The H-Rank dress set Lady Freya had purchased him was one thing. But this outfit was a different beast entirely. He wasn't sure if he was comfortable or not... okay, he actually was pretty comfortable in it, but it somehow felt more awkward than anything else. A sigh escaped his lips as he wandered around the abode, doing his best to avoid any direct eye contact with anyone looking in his direction. He felt like he could die of embarrassment right on the spot. Gods above, just take him already!

Maybe he would just hover around the food area and partake in snacks and beverages until he got bored? At the very least, he'd be able to get a free meal out of the snacks being served. Better yet, he could hide from the eyes of others under the table while he partook in the refreshments. Yeah, that'd be a good idea. That way he could cool off a bit from the seething stares around him for a bit. Then again, it would probably look really weird for someone to do that.. Ah, forget it. He'd just deal with it for now and keep to himself.

A Party wasn't something Hades really found a lot of interest in, there was little to be done, surely it was more efficient for her to spend time doing business. However, there was an unfortunate benefit to these gatherings that Hades was understanding more, though it made her grimace. In order to properly adjust to this world, she must better understand mortals, and also in order to set her grander schemes into motion, she would have to find the Gods and Goddesses who like her, rule an underworld that can help support her goals. Though the fact that the party require a costume was irritating, Hades had no real interest in such things, costumes were expensive and overrated, but that didn't stop her from having a stroke of brilliance.

Hades would join the party in a form that would no doubt cause a chill to shoot up the spines of everyone present, that form, was one that would be most familiar for Hestia, Zeus, Hera-- Any of the Greek Gods. Yes, rather then the appealing feminine persona Hades had been using as a Casino owner and business woman, Hades came to the party as 'Himself'. His silky beard hung down to his chest connecting with his mustache painting the picture of a very sinister god. His age was no doubt apparent from the occasional wrinkle at his cheeks as well as the deep furrow across his forehead. He was clad in the armor Olympians would best remember him wearing during the time the God weapons were forged, his Bident held firmly in a rough masculine hand worn from eons of handling but just as sinister and cold as always. There seemed to be a permanent sneer painted across his face, a stark contrast to his feminine facade that maintained a stoic demeanor at all times.

It was a sight that would no doubt cause a few to jump but others to stare as Hades joined the party making it his first goal to find where the expensive wine was being offered and pouring himself a large glass before casting his gaze across the room. His harsh indifferent gaze was the same as always, but with the rest of his intimidating and sinister features it was all the more off putting, unlike his feminine form that seemed more delicate and gentle in appearance to offset the cruelty, the reality was harsh and had nothing to take away from the grim God's demeanor. "Hmph... The best of Egypt mm?" He asked glancing down into his cup taking a slow measured sip.

A rather odd thing she found it, for Osiris to host a party shortly after the farce that was the Denatus meet that took place only days before. Such silly things were not usually of interest to Nyx. However, the chance to partake in something so silly, was exactly what might be needed after having to sit through that massive headache of a meeting between gods. And she had just the outfit for such an occasion. It was a touch more revealing than what she normally wore, but no doubt that some of the other gods would be dressed in a somewhat similar manner. As she approached Osiris' humble abode, the lights would flicker only ever-so-slightly, that same veil of blackness enshrouding her form, this time covering mostly her torso and arms, while the rest simply trailed after her as a cloak. Her eyes were once again shielded from view, both by blackness, and by the shadow it cast over her eyes.

She would glide through the crowds seamlessly, weaving in, out and between, her visage ever betwixt the light and the dark. A graceful hand deftly reached out to take up a macaroon in one hand, the other taking up a glass of wine. She consumed the snack swiftly, but delicately, being sure as not to make a mess of herself. Her right hand would raise the glass to her lips, taking in a sip of the delectable fluids as her shadowed eyes gazed around the establishment. Many mortals had come at Osiris' invitation it seemed. That's good. As long as the children upon Gaea were content, so too was she. There were also an array of interesting costumes, but none that seemed to turn heads nearly as much as hers. Or so she thought. There was a young girl wearing a blue outfit with striped stockings holding a stuffed animal of sorts. She was rather adorable, she had to admit. There was something alluring about her. She couldn't quite put her finger on it. Well, that would be something to think on at a later date.

Her head turned once again as she went to glide onward, only to stop at the sight of a rather dark, and malevolent looking man striding into the establishment. Judging by the aura she was sensing about him, and the overwhelming sense of gloom trailing after him, she could only assume it to be none other than Hades, Lord of the Underworld. Her spare hand came up to stifle a laugh as she moved closer to Hades' position in the room, looking him up and down before bowing ever-so-slightly.

"Good eve to you, Lord Hades. I must say, it is quite the surprise to see you so... "out in the open." she said, the slightest chuckle escaping her lips as she awaited a response from the man.

  11. From the looks of it, the party was a success! Feeling a slight bit of pride as a co-organizer of the event, Sobek continued to tromp about gleefully in his costume. From the looks of it, the deity had arranged for an amazingly fluffy one piece that uncannily resembled a goofy looking wolf with its tongue protruding. If asked, he’d begin to brag about how he had found it at the market a week ago while looking to hire caterers for the celebration.

Eye caught by a vibrant red cloak, the deity’s gaze shimmered as he let loose a low and harsh growl. From the looks of it, his least favorite little midget had arrived as well. Remembering back to their little collision in the slums, he’d walk over to properly introduce himself for the first time. “You sing well for a half pint.” A hand gloved within the paw of his onesie would reach out to bop against her nose as he stared down at the goddess with a single eye. From the looks of it, the crocodile hadn’t come over to start a fight, but rather to simply size up his competition.

His attention was focused on the woman’s immediate reaction from his newly arrived presence. “Don’t worry, I don’t bite.” He’d pause for a moment while cracking a toothy grin. “Not too hard at least…”

Soren's wanderings had taken him to the dance floor. He blinked in surprise when he saw people twisting and turning themselves strangely, some of them just jumping in the air while others...he didn't even know about the others. He was transfixed by the scene before him. If people moved strangely like this and nobody stared... Maybe he can do it too?

He did small jumps to get in time with the dancers, but then he noticed someone stare at him and stopped. Oh gods above did he actually do that? What kind of idiot was he to just waltz right into the dance floor and do some jumping? He didn't know, but his face was heating up from embarrassment. Maybe he needed a drink. Yeah, that would help.

The boy scurried out of the dance floor and tried to look around, searching for refreshments. His search proved fruitful when he came upon the counter where it seemed like people were serving drinks. He immediately made a beeline for it, his throat slightly parched. "Um, excuse me?" he asked as he went up to the man behind the counter, "What kind of drinks do you serve?" The man grunted and looked at him.

"We got all kinds of drinks, kid," he said, "We've got water, we've got juice, we've got alcohol. Pick whatever suits you."

"O-Okay." He thought it over a bit, weighing his options.

"Um, can I have juice, please?"

"What kind, kid? Apple? Orange? Grape?" He stared at the man.

    "What's an orange?"

"Some fruit from far away," the man replied, waving it off, "You want it?"

"Oh! Sure!" The man ducked down to get the juice and poured him a glass. "Thank you so much!" he said as he took a sip of the drink. His eyes lit up. It was tangy and sweet, a perfect combination. As he sipped at his drink, he looked around to see what was going on in the party. People were mingling and having fun, it seemed. He wasn't sure how to have fun, considering he hadn't met anyone he knew yet.

Something caught his attention, though. Someone in a blue dress and white apron was at the counter where the drinks were being served and he couldn't put a finger on it, but that person seemed familiar. He decided to get a closer look as discretely as possible. When he was close enough to see the person's face, his eyes widened. "Celsius?" he asked as he walked towards the Chienthrope. Maybe it was someone else, he didn't know. But he had to ask just in case, right?

Hestia was contentedly sipping at her apple juice when Sobek came into view. Before she could say anything, he lightly bopped her on the nose, causing her to squeak in an undignified manner. She rubbed her nose with a free hand and looked at the god that came up to her, eyes lighting up in recognition.

"Oh hello," she greeted in a friendly manner, "You sing well too. Though your songs are a little...um..." She trailed off, not wanting to appear rude by saying they were depressing. "A-Anyway, what brings you to the party? I was hoping to find someone from the Norse pantheon so I could apologize for my siblings about the Denatus meeting..."

  14. A harsh laugh sounded from the crocodile in wolf’s clothing as he listened to the little goddess stumble from a loss for words. “Hah! No need to say. I’m well aware of what you mean…” He’d take a quick sip from his beverage before turning his attention back towards the red riding hood down below.

“What do you mean? I helped host this darned thing! Me and my boy Osiris made it a real kicker this time! You like it? Don’t cha?” He’d nudge at her with an elbow and a wink while eagerly anticipating some form praise for a job well done. It wasn’t long however before his playful demeanor changed to one of skepticism.

The deity scoffed upon hearing Hestia’s intent to apologize to the Norse gods. His eye widening with curiosity, as if trying to judge the woman’s intent, he’d sigh while shaking his head. “Ya know, that’s not really necessary... Those northerners would’ve eaten you and the whole darn family over breakfast if they had the chance. Count yourself lucky the other shorty threw old man Odin under the wagon...”

Hestia began to blush as she was called out for what she would have said. Oh boy did that embarrass her. She tried to shrug off her embarrassment with the change of topic. "Yes, your party is simply marvelous," she said as she sipped her apple juice, "Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. That's good." Her gaze was soft as she glanced around the room, taking in the party's atmosphere. It was very lively indeed, and though she wasn't much of a party person, it always warmed her heart to see other people happy.

She blinked at Sobek when he said that she shouldn't apologize to the Norse pantheon, her face falling into a frown as she processed what he just said. "Still, I want to apologize, especially after that scene with Odin..." she said as she swirled her glass a little, looking down, "Especially for his eye. Though I'm glad that artifact was destroyed, I can't help but wish I had done something about the blood gushing from his eye..."

  16. img Baldr made an effort to show up in as formal a dress as possible. Hand tailored, complexly sewn, monogrammed sleeves, it was certainly up to his standards as far as flare and appearances. It wasn't the most creative costume, but a wedding tux was no doubt one that Baldr would wear to such an event. Though he didn't have many plans, no not in this place, not while there wasn't anyone from his own pantheon present. While he did have a variety of schemes or things in mind, he didn't have any means of setting them into motion just yet. Instead he'd happily mingle, reaching down for a mug of mead rather then the whines, the Norse god rather enjoyed the honeyed taste of a horn of mead or ale instead of a glass of wine.

It was perhaps unrefined, maybe even contrary to his desire and demeanor but there was something lovely about the drink that was humble in design and appeal. Trying so hard to uplift itself with all it's might. Baldr wouldn't hesitate to spend the party staring into his glass at the drink between sips if someone didn't approach him or his pantheon didn't make an appearance. The Norse God even if his family wasn't present wouldn't shirk away into darkness but stand fabulously in the light while waiting.

Canine ears perked up at the sound of a voice. One that sounded rather familiar at that. Celsius turned around to find a certain Dark Elf behind him. It was that Soren guy who invaded his home! ...Well, he didn't really invade it. He just stumbled in out of blind curiosity upon seeing him that night. The Chienthrope felt his face burn brighter than it already had been, a hand moving a loose strand of hair out of his eyes as he looked over at the boy. "Er...um...h-hi..." he managed to mutter out, stuffing a frosted sugar cookie into his mouth and chewing a bit. To his surprise, it was actually very tasty. Then again, it was rare for him to experience a wide variety of foods, as poor as he usually was, so anything here would probably taste amazing to him.

He'd shovel a few more cookies into his mouth before swallowing contently, an eye on one of the many servers passing by and taking a glass of what appeared to be apple juice from off the tray. He guzzled it down quickly, as though it were going out of style, letting out a sigh of satisfaction as he held it lightly within his grasp. "Phew~ That's better... hmm... so...you're here too, eh Soren?" he asked with a hint of discontent in his voice. Now mind you, it wasn't that he didn't like the guy, don't get him wrong. But sadly, it's still a touch awkward for Celsius, considering that the way they met was essentially entering his home uninvited. That still didn't quite sit right with the Chinethrope. However, that didn't mean he was unwilling to overlook it. It was just something that tended to leave a bad taste in your mouth for a little while, you know?

Celsius' eyes would gaze over the establishment, taking another glass of apple juice as the same server passed by again. "Some party, huh...?" he said in attempts to make conversation.

Hades' reply to Nyx was somewhat blank, after taking his sip of whine, he mulled over his response briefly. It wasn't necessarily surprising, at least not in Hades' own eyes for him to appear as a man for a party such as this. Though he wasn't exactly in true radiant god form or design, he'd spent the last ten years as a female. "Costumes are needlessly expensive, wasteful even. I can't imagine wearing it to any other thing aside from this party, why waste the effort when I could merely go as a male and achieve the same result?" Hades explained blankly without care for the teasing or joking between the lines of Nyx's words, as if he didn't notice them.

After all, among all the gods there were many who changed regularly throughout histories, eons of story and such. Such a thing Hades felt wasn't too surprising or deserving of such a reaction. Instead Hades looked down into his glass once more giving it a faint stir. "I wouldn't have come if it weren't for the refreshments... I've far too much work to do back home." Hades couldn't help complaining vaguely as he tried to pour the rest of the wine into his mouth draining his cup before setting it back down

  19. It was amusing to say the least, watching this little lamb grow flustered as he called her out on the intent behind her words. A satisfied nod was given after receiving a small amount of praise. From the looks of it, Sobek was a rather easy individual to please. That said, it appeared as though the little one still had some misconceptions regarding the most recent Denatus. Perhaps it was best if he helped enlighten her?

Upon seeing her face fall into a genuine frown, his ever skeptical gaze lightened just a smidgen. Wait a second? Does she genuinely feel bad about the whole eye thing? It was strange to say the least. Given the disposition of the other immortal dirt bags in this realm, the crocodile had long since grown very critical of others. A low growl sounded as he spoke while reflecting on these inner thoughts. “Let me ask you this, little one. Would you still be so eager to aid that man if he had publicly spoken out to banish your brother? Cause I guarantee you that pompous warmonger would’ve voted for it in a heartbeat.” Taking yet another sip from his glass to quench his dry throat, the crocodile’s gaze focused intently on the goddess’ expression while voicing his concern.

Hestia paused as Sobek asked that question. Truthfully, she didn't know how to react to it. And it was true, all of it. She knew deep down in her heart that Odin would have banished her brother in a heartbeat, to what reason, she did not know. Maybe pride and competition? But still, she felt bad over the whole thing.

"...You have a point," she sighed, "I'm not very good with politics, I'm afraid, It's why I gave up my seat to Dionysus when he came into our halls. I would rather prefer to tend to the house as a maid then go through with politics. But in any case, I can understand what you mean." She swirled her glass of apple juice some more, her frown deepening. "Truth be told, I would still aid him if he was hurt. My siblings say I'm quick to forgive, but I don't know."
