Lilian Felding. Age 15. Occupation Heroine of Justice. Life Mission: To protect the world and bring justice to evil. Sub Mission: Find father if alive and destroy the dungeon once and for all. ......But not today. Lilian Felding wore a finely made white blouse and a long tan skirt down to her ankles. Her hair was held up with two red ribbons and a small necklace was draped around her neck. If not for her heterochromia, she would be just your average upper class girl. That is how she wanted it today too. It was tough being a hero 24/7. Especially when it was so difficult. Her father was still so far above her, she needed to improve. Truly though, today was a much needed break. Yes Lilian actually did take breaks. Today was a surprisingly warm fall afternoon. People were going about their business and merchants peddled their wares. Lilian was spending this part of her day at a outdoor cafe. It was a nice place with good food. Lilian had tastes in food that were a lot more mature than others her age. So if she liked a place. It was pretty good if a bit expensive. Taking a sip from her tea cup. Her eyes looked out at the fountain next to the cafe. A bunch of strong looking warriors walked by with equipment that looked really high quality. They weren't even the hero type. Just some rough looking merc people. It wasn't fair. Lilian was proud of the equipment that her father once used, but it was not keeping up with all the new things that began to take shape after the gods arrived. Did the Justice Bringer lose it's power somehow? Was it her fault and she wasn't using it right? Lilian thought of her encounter with Miss Lavian and Miss Marzipan. Then the battle with the ants. Sigh... maybe she needed to ask someone she knew was strong for help. Maybe someone like.... No. Her hand gripped the tea cup tightly with both hands as she continued thinking. Lilian would never pit herself in that situation. To ask her own hired hand for combat instruction? To make the last person that Lilian considered family worry or even worse try to stop her from continuing? Unfortunately Lilian's inherent skill and powers were not enough anymore. No way could she handle floor 8 with her current abilities. She just knew it!
Hero's day off It was yet another day off from serving the young master that Melody chose to visit the trade quarters. Right hand pulling the edge of her left glove to adjust it back to the normal length while her left hand moved her tie a few centimeters to the left to cover the center of her chest. She had been chasing a thief until only a few moments ago and the action had caused her to lose her normal set appearance. Nebula green eyes glowing within the sunlight as she adjusted her right sleeve and turned slowly to see a older couple struggling to get their groceries. "Would you like some assistance?" The soft resonance of her question filled the air as the young butler approached the older couple offering a hand. The two smiled at her and moved so Melody could pick the bags up for them. She was rather known for her helping hand with everyone and anyone around town. One arm lined with the bags filled with food and some supplies the old couple had bought as she followed behind them. "Another day off Melody?" The old man asked to the women behind them as Melody smiled, her free hand resting behind her back before she answered the question. "Yes it is sir. The young master likely does not want me meeting her boyfriend or girlfriend I think." Words spoken loudly as they turned a corner and Melody almost bust out into laughter. Sitting at the table was Lilian, and it only confirmed or likely supported Melody's claim. Her figure turning towards her master as she bowed slightly and kept following the older couple. "Shouldn't you be more concerned this unknown would bring harm to your master?" The old women spoke as she looked back towards melody who only smiled faintly. "Im sure my master can handle herself. if I ever found out someone tried to hurt her though, they would fear me more then some fear the god's divine wrath." Left hand moving from behind her back as she pulled her sleeve up back to it's normal spot and adjusted the bags to avoid it ruining her clothing again. Melody was happy to see her master was doing fine on her day off. But it was easy to tell the young master was troubled for the butler. She grew up looking after the girl after all. She took a note to try and return back here once she finished helping the old couple to ask what had the young miss down on such a lovely day. A slight eye twitch as she moved two steps left to avoid a small splash of water from kids in the fountain. It was a lovely day, but that meant more things and people to avoid from ruining her outfit in melody's eyes. Invite thread @Lilian Felding
As Lilian's mind was lost in deep thought. She put her tea cup down and nibbled a cracker. As she saw her butler pass by, Lilian's mouth dropped open and a few crumbs fell out. Wow... talk about on cue! Quickly wiping her mouth with a napkin as she thought to call Melody over. Unfortunately Melody seemed to be assisting a old couple with groceries. It was always good to see acts of generosity even if this would get in the way at the moment. Melody was a good person, at least as far as Lilian understood. There were times she wondered what the woman was thinking but it would be rude to delve into ones personal life. For now, Lilian simply made a wave to the suited lady. The girl would never try and stop a good deed from being completed. "Good day Melody! May I have a moment of your time after you finish your task?" The butler was the only person Lilian did not address with a 'Miss'. As she felt it was not respectful to those she met as acquaintances. After the call out she returned to drinking her tea alone. It was a dull day, but sometimes a dull day was quite nice.
Hero's day off Melody would turn to face her master when she was addressed. A small bow of her figure before she rose and replied with a small smile. "Most certainly master." Truning back to her task at hand she moved slightly faster. Her master was more important then the task she took on for others. She only had a small way to go after vanishing from view of her master before reaching the house of the old couple. Giving them their bags back before she bowed and vanished in a quick run to return to her master. Slowly a small distance before she would come into view as she adjusted her clothing. Sleeve turned a cm to the left, left pinky glove pulled down to trace her finger as it was made to do, tie adjusted back to the center only a second before Lilian could see Melody returning. her pace was even, and she seemed to be making it a clear point to avoid stepping on black stones along her path and any cracks. but once she reached a few feet from her master she move left hand behind her back and bowed fully before her master. "You requested me miss Lilian?" Melody would slowly rise awaiting the reason of her summons on a day off. Invite thread @Lilian Felding
Lilian smiled to her butler when she returned to the cafe. Pushing a tray of crackers towards her and pulling a seat out for her. It was Melody's day off and even then it was not in Lilian's demeanor to be rude to even a hired servant. Melody was more than that to the young girl. The butler was the only person whom she felt she could at least kind of be her real self around. While everyone knew her as 'That Justice Girl', Melody knew her as Lilian. It was a good thing to have this closeness with someone. "Please sit Melody. I saved you some crackers. Thank you for taking the time out of your off day to help those people and to see me here." Lilian smiled and nodded in gratitude. Then the girl's face grew serious and a worried look grew in her eyes. "Melody, I am becoming concerned about how things are going in this city. The dungeon is causing more deaths than ever and.... as you know it's my responsibility as my father's daughter to carry on the hero legacy. I must admit something to you, please forgive me but I have begun taking up the hero mantle and have even gone to the dungeon already, without informing you." Lilian looked down at her hands as she clasped them together tightly. Not looking back at Melody she continued. "Over the past few weeks I've helped on small quests around town and fought beasts that have almost killed me. The worst part is... these were not what others would consider difficult tasks. I always find myself competing with adventurers who are blessed with some gods falna. This new form of warrior is replacing my family I fear. I... I don't know what to do. I have to fulfill my duty for my family and the dungeon... my father." Lilian did not want to continue. She thought of the acidic ants she fault and how she ended up a near casualty while others completed the mission. Lilian was failing at her destiny and needed to do something about it. "I want to ask if you could help me somehow." Lilian looked straight at her friend and servant. @Melody Bellwood
Hero's day off Melody could not help but clench her fist once she sat down and heard the information her master had on her mind. She had made a promise to the girl's father that she would protect her with everything she had, but Lilian seemed to be set on being like her father to early. Slowly unclenching her fist as she looked to her master with kind eyes. "While I don't approve of you going into the dungeon at such a young age master, that is a matter not for the current time or place. But what I can tell you." Melody stopped speaking for a moment as she moved her hand into view, slowly removing the glove with her other hand prior as she looked it over before speaking. "Each Hero is different, they are a hero of that time because they adapt to that time. As you said things have changed since the gods arrived. So change along with them. I know I might not be the best help, but as your personal servant it's my job to help you with ever matter I can with every breath of my being." Melody spoke calmly as she began to place her glove back over her hand looking towards Lilian. Slowly thinking of the times she spent with the girl's father learning thier style in the event none within the family lived long enough to teach Lilian she wondered if it was time to start her training. Deep inside her however, she did not want her master risking her life down within the dungeon after all the stories she had heard about the place. But her master seemed intent on such actions so Melody would simply have to adapt along with the girl to better serve as her butler. "If you plan to go within the dungeon again, inform me next time please master. I would rather be there to shield you then simply fear you might never return..." Melody spoke faintly towards the end of her sentence, eyes setting on the food as she lost her appetite before even eating anything. Invite thread @Lilian Felding
As her butler spoke. It told volumes about how old fashioned Lilian's views were. Even her own butler who was older was more adaptable to this new way of living. Maybe Lilian had to just get with the times and accept this falna, familia and gods stuff. The rise of the guild and adventurers council too was making the old hero style less important. It was not a pleasant thought for her. Lilian sipped her tea and leaned back into her chair as she slumped her shoulders tiredly. She placed the cup down and put a hand to her face in dismay. Not a great deal of it, but enough to show how much things were starting to trouble her. The art of growing up was harder when you were someone like Lilian. She needed to change but her own willpower and determination would always stop that from truly happening. Putting her hand down and nodding with a look of acceptance she smiled slightly at Melody. "Thank you Melody. I need more support than I ever realized. Please. I would be grateful for your help in the dungeon. I will increase your pay for days that we travel there as well. Perhaps together we can bring the peace and justice that the world is surely lacking. I do not know why but I get the feeling that the future is a dark one. It will need a hero. I must rise to that calling... and I hope you will be by my side." Lilian put her hand on the table palm up. A promise to be together future endeavors. @Melody Bellwood
Hero's day off "There is no reason to increase my pay Miss Feldling. It's a butler's job to protect their master, be it in the mansion or within the dungeon." Melody would remove her glove once again before placing it to Lilian's palm with a faint smile. Shortly after she would move her hand back and re glove it once again as she stood up. "If that is all you need from me I have a few things to craft for this dungeon trip." Unless Lilian asked her to stay a bit longer Melody would bow her head slightly and proceed to walk off towards the armor and weapon section of the trade quarters. She knew of few people that could craft weapons, she being a rather bad one herself, but her older brother was decent enough and always offering to get her some armor and weapons if she asked him. "I just fear he will ask that I take my own crafting serious and not keep doing the minimal work needed to make a blade that looks strong but breaks after two uses..." Melody's last heard words as she turned a corner and walked away to attend to her new to do list on her day off. Invite thread @Lilian Felding
