See Evil, Do Evil, Hear Evil (Freya)

Discussion in 'Alv Mountains' started by Khaos, Nov 8, 2016.

  1. profileThe high peaks of the Alv Mountains. A place far from the hustle and bustle of Orario city. Some parts of this region are avoided due to the treacherous terrain and the more fearsome monsters that preyed on mountain climbers. It was even said that Rocs had nests somewhere in this region. Even so, a small amount of mountain side villages and even a few that were built at higher elevation existed. Truly humanity tried to make their mark everywhere they possibly could. Well, that made them share yet another commonality with the chaotic origin. Khaos was more than a little fond of leaving trails of despair and ruination in her wake. Khaos did not seek to end the lives of those she crossed. That would end the fun if the toys became unusable. Unfortunately that was a side effect of Khaos's presence somewhere too long. Oh well.

It was early morning and Khaos had left her carriage a long ways back. She looked somewhat modest and even rough for once. Her hair rolled up under a black and white traveling hat and two strands of golden blonde hair going down each side of her face. A large backpack was on her back and she wore the kind of clothes the usual climbers would wear, vest, climbing boots, the works. Mortals in the area would never think this wild eyed looking traveler was one of the god's that brought everything into existence. That was exactly what she wanted. Today was her much needed massacre day. Every so often on any random day, she would have her familia members travel to secluded and distant areas to scout for places Khaos could entertain her more murderous desires personally rather than to cause mayhem themselves. While she did get some chaotic energy from chaos being caused outside her general location. It was meager, unless it was a truly grand scale event such as Zeus's little outburst. Khaos needed to perform her own acts of chaos to get a boost of thrill sometimes. It was why she had made arrangements to make the Rochefort manor her home. Being outside of Orario made it easier for her to keep nosy children out of her business.

This target was a small mountain colony that consisted of a few mountain game hunters (possibly even drawn to the Roc rumors) and people who were attracted to build small inns and shelters for those hunters. It was only four or five shoddy shacks and a population of about two dozen. Still it was just enough to get a good time from. Khaos stood on a ridge that was above the village. Her hand over her eyes as she looked around the area and thought of how she felt like getting her party going here. By the time the day was over. This village would be a abandoned ruin from some sort of mysterious disaster. So she needed to make sure the mortal spawn here gave her their best feelings of fear and anguish before they left for one of the underworlds....

_____Dark Freya had been trying to get herself some free time away from the other two personalities. And since shy Freya had agreed to have them leave Orario while the meeting event cooled down she got that chance. Arms slowly stretched over her head as she walked down the path fully armored, minus her helmet. Her polearm resting on her back as the goddess of war was itching to have reason to chop someone, anyone down the middle to entertain herself.

_____But It seemed the people of the small village Freya had found herself at avoided those who looked like killers. Golden eyes glowed with nothing short of pure bloodlust as her steps echoed across her path. Slowly reaching for her left ear as she tried to hear if anyone was getting a weapon out to try and show her they would use force to get her out of their town. Lips parting as Freya growled and reached for her weapon.

_____Smoke would fly through the air as Freya slammed her Halberd into the dirt and shouted out with her angry tone. "Someone get out here and fight me, or Im destroying this place until someone stops me dam it!" Freya slowly lifted her weapon before slamming it into a window shattering the glass causing people to scream and scatter. She was the embodiment of Death and war, and when those two thing lacked she got dangerous, and few could predict what Freya would end up doing if such continued.

  3. Khaos rummaged through her backpack. Ginning mischievously, she pulled out a small bag tied with rope. Untying it with wide eyes and a giggle. The bag held small slimy looking eggs that would be a part of today's scheme. She pulled one from the bag and examined the object by bringing it up to her face. So fun these little things were. It took a fair degree of trouble to get a supply but Khaos's connections were more vast than most were aware of.

"You're gonna have a lot of fun aren't you little guys? Yeppers.... it's almost dinner time hmhmhm."

What she needed now was water and a good amount of it. Luckily the crazed deity had spotted a small stream running through the mountains. It had a dam along it that would have to come down for the party to begin. Khaos lacked the physical strength to push a large enough boulder into it to cause it to break but there were always other methods. Going about things in roundabout ways made it more unpredictable as it meant that many other factors would be involved.

Retying the bag and placing it in her pants pocket Khaos put the backpack back on and made her way down the mountain with a silly marching walk. Whistling a merry tune all the while. It was when she arrived at the village that she saw a woman who she recognized in a instant. Freya? What was that sleepy goddess doing so far from her bedroom? Well, Khaos saw her looking very angry about something or other. The people here were staring at her large weapon with fear in their eyes. Marvelous! This was a great little unexpected occurrence!

Khaos would be able to use this to her advantage as well....

"Freya! Well, wellllll, well... HELLOOOO goddess of LOVE! Ooooh wait... what are you the goddess of today? HEhehe... you do have a amusingggg tendency to shift states right?"

Khaos tossed off her hat and decided what the heck. Her blonde hair blew around wildly as she ran up behind Freya and leaned her head past her to look in her face. Khaos's face was one of curiosity and playfulness... for now.

Meanwhile a few roc hunters stepped out from the inn and looked at each other with confusion. Then looked at Freya with a look that said "get lost".

_____Freya gave little notice for her next few actions towards the other goddess. Her figure released a brief wave of killer intent before she swung her body and weapon to try and take the head off of Khaos for what she had said. "If you dare mistake me for those other halves again, I assure you there will be much less time to react to getting beheaded Khaos." If Khaos just dodged the air would be filled with smoke as Freya dug her weapon out of the building and focused on the people trying to give her a mute message to get lost.

_____Her pace slowly moving herself closer to the group before she leaned forward and spoke. "Just try and get me out then bitches. Oh wait, that's a compliment to you lot, I meant to say filth maggots." Slowly leaning back as she moved her weapon to rest on her shoulders. Freya could already tell her other sides would start trying to stop her mentally, so she needed to kill people while she still have control. Right arm swinging to crack the jaw of the first target, she was not going to wait for any words from them.

  5. Khaos covered her mouth with her hand and oohed sarcastically at this display. It seemed Freya was in her more violent mode. Marvelous! The primordial god may not even have to go about her original scheme now. Little Freya will do it all for her! Khaos was starting to like these Norse gods. They all seemed to start trouble more than even her pantheon did. Khaos adored trouble of any sort.

"Oh my. Freya is in a bad mood! Khaos better skedaddle. Hmhmhm....."

Khaos started to walk backwards lightly away from the extremely easily angered version of Freya. This was going to be good and Khaos just wanted to soak up all the chaos that would soon ensue... before she quite literally washed it all away.

The hunters seemed a lot more worried when they saw Freya's skill with her weapon. Still, if they couldn't handle this. A roc would eat them alive... right? They were too far from earshot to hear the two gods names but something was definitely different about these two visitors. Freya was the one they deemed dangerous though, and for good reason. Also they weren't aware of it but they all felt the emotional boost from the god of madness being nearby. So getting them angry would be a small task.

Two hunters stepped up and gave a look of intimidation to the Norse. They drew their weapons, a sword and a ax. Whether they were in a familia or not was anyone's guess. One spat on the ground as his feelings got stronger. The poor fool was totally unaware of how doomed he could be this day. Stepping right up into Freya's face he looked down at her. She was a whole head shorter than the ax man.

"Say it again, and I can't guarantee you walking away whore."

Meanwhile two things were happening. People had ran into the shabby shelters and all the hunters, around five total had emerged to watch. They probably expected the strange armored woman to leave. Also Khaos saw where the stream ran through the colony and pulled her bag of 'eggs' back out as she returned her attention to the antics before her. The tension was rising and Khaos was getting fired up, but had to maintain control for the sake of her game. If either god removed their limiter here it would become noticed by the pantheons at some point.

Khaos didn't want the world to end yet or ever really. Freya on the other hand may be too crazed to care. How interesting this would be...

_____Freya had very little tolerance for mortals that did not fight for her good grace. Much less for those that called her by names more fitting of her other personalities. Face cracking into rage as she slowly rose her left hand to the male's chest. Khaos would sense the spike in magic before anyone else as the male was sent back barreling with black smoke around his chest. Moments later the sound of wood shattering and the male no doubt shouting out in pain would arise from within the inn.

_____Freya, wasted no time connecting the flat side of her halberd to the next male's rib cage and using magic to propel him to the side as she spun. Freya would slow herself down and stand calmly overlooking her work. The first male was sitting in the remains of two shattered tables and part of the bar counter. He looked badly hurt, and his chest was still smoking with black smoke around a skull marking and -Freya's bitch' written below it. A light chuckle from Freya as she turned to see her other victim.

_____He had not been so badly hurt. His ribs looked broken, but he landed in a pile of hay to cushion the blow. Spinning her weapon until it rested on her back once more Freya rose her hands upward and looked around. "Anyone else wish to entertain me, or shall my entertainment come from destroying this village?" Soon after her statement Freya held her head with her right hand. "Dam you two, go back to arguing, Im not done having my fun yet!" More so spoken under her breath as Freya stood back up looking for her next opponent, or where to start her carnage.

    @Khaos

  7. Khaos's approval rating for Freya just went to a new tier. If only it was possible to keep her in that state. To... control when it comes and goes at her discretion. That would turn Freya into a truly prized piece for the chaos god. That would require a lot of research and understanding of the Norse's psyche though. Perhaps a item like the limiters could be created for this purpose? The primordial chaos made a mental note to look into it.

For now the destruction and high rising tension was sufficient for Khaos's needs. As Freya spoke on about causing more wonderful mayhem. Khaos waltzed over to the hunter that crashed through the bar wall. He was unconscious with a burnt mark on his chest. Khaos laughed. Freya just left a calling card on a soon to be dead mortal. That won't go over well at the next Denatus Meet. Of course, that's if the body was not disposed of by what Khaos had in mind. She bent down to check out his ax. It was a pretty good weapon. Too bad he did not get the chance to use it. Khaos could use this for her scheme today. Picking it up with one hand was pretty difficult but possible. Physical strength only truly came to her when she was really pissed off (a rare event). It would take two hands to do the deed but she could hold unto it with one hand for now.

Taking one last look at the downed warrior she snickered and began to decide whether to head for the dam or stay and enjoy this amusing ruckus?

The hunter in the hay made no effort to stand up. He was out matched here. The words and actions of Freya were more than enough to make the remaining five hunters approach. They weren't sure how to beat her since the two she decimated were the strongest of them, or so they thought. Suddenly one of them. The youngest spoke up with a step forward.

"I'll deal with her everyone don't worry. Why are you doing this? I am a hunter who serves Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt. I do not know if I can stop you, but I cannot allow this to continue."

Putting a arrow into his bow he aimed at Freya as he made a battle ready position. His eyes had great focus. He was likely still level 1 but this human was a familia member which meant he may be able to keep up with even Freya... His eyes shifted to another girl walking past the Norse. Was she dangerous too?

Khaos walked past the goddess with her newfound ax. Looking at the young man she shook her head with a tsk tsk and a grin. Such a waste of life... but their screams will be worth it. With a wink to Freya Khaos decided to avoid being convicted of deicide and to give her a warning in her ear as she made her way out of the colony towards the dam.

"Best finish uuuup before this becomes a total washout, hehehe."

_____Freya could only grin at the turn of events she was getting on her day of freedom. Not only did she get to meek a goddess that could or might work with her when planning for a war, but she got the perfect fire starter before her. Right hand waving off the goddess when she spoke to her as she set her focus purely on the archer. "A lone archer of that Greek goddess? Against the Norse goddess of war and death? Oh this is just to good." Freya moved her hands to her sides as dark magic began to swirl around her. The grass rotting away as she tipped her head to the left while grinning.

_____"Tell me mortal, what do you think is faster, that arrow ... or my dark magic? Oh I forgot to give a proper introduction." Freya's magic settled leaving the area around her black as she moved her head back strait. "I am ... Well I guess the other two persona call me Dark Freya. I am the persona that embodies War and death." Freya bowed her figure slightly before she rushed towards the archer. Her weapon being dropped to let her move faster, should he try to shoot his arrow Freya would react with using a cloud of dark magic to rot the arrow away.

_____However she did not wish to kill this one, much to the others thoughts she wanted to taint him. Right hand holding his chin as she grinned happily. "Tell me, where is that goddess of yours now. not here, as a goddess holds you at her mercy, would she be with you when you fought whatever it is you are hunting with those weapons?" Freya would pinch his chin in her grip as her left hand held a small bit of dark magic in her palm. Slowly building up a little curse of her own. It was all in how the boy reacted that determined if she made it lethal, or did not even use it on him.

  9. Khaos had cheerily left the colony. The devious deviant was holding the large ax behind her head. Her face was full of glee. The dam was just ahead.

    ------------------------------

Meanwhile the archer's eyes widened in astonishment at Freya's words. Gasps filled the air as everyone became aware at last. The one who stood here declaring their destruction was a god! That was unheard of! The gods were not supposed to do this? What happened to them just being friendly if a bit odd shop keeps and bar owners? This was their worst fear come true. How could they defeat a being of that level?

    "N-N-No way. You're a goddess?!"

The young archer dropped his bow. He was capable but he wouldn't be able to fight this. He was unaware of the limiter law so as far as he was concerned... the gods could kill them all with a blink. Even if it was possible to face a god in battle. This colony had no such legends among them. They had no chance but to run or beg for forgiveness for whatever they did.

The entire colony dropped to their knees in fear. The archer did not bow however. He stuttered on.

"G-Goddess F-F-Freya.... I cannot fight you. Artemis lets her followers gain strength on their own. It would be wrong for her to decrease the difficulty of our hunt by coming herself. If she wer-"

A loud cry interrupted him from a woman on her knees. She rapidly kowtowed as she begged.

"Please stop this! We have done nothing to anger the gods! I beg for forgiveness!"

    ----------------------

Khaos swung the ax back and forth to get a good feel for it. Having a weapon was pretty fun! Khaos could never make her up mind for a good one though. Her own powers were enough for what she did at the moment. The ax had it's use though as a thick and heavy throwable object. Walking along a high ledge over the large wooden construct that acted to block the water beyond. She winded up for a mighty swing. The ax glowed with a red hue. Channeling too much power into it might draw the attention of the gods. This amount would be simply normal magic quantity. Just a small explosion. The dam would have a nice big hole real soon!

And then Khaos's little bag of fun could do it's thing...

_____Freya was so close, so close to striking a deal with the people of the village until the women did the last thing Freya wanted from them. begging for forgiveness, graveling at the sight of a stronger existence was something she could not stand, not even after her countless years of existing. Slowly she paced towards the women, her magic was gone but her presence leaked out anger. Right heel lightly pressing the women's face to the ground roughly as she kept the pressure on the back of her head as she spoke.

_____"Forgiveness? you think such a weak word will stop my hate for mortals? Allow me to give you a little untold history lesson bout my existence. I used to be allowed to roam freely, my other two persona knew not to piss me off. Then MORTALS gave them hope to seal me inside our mind, and MORTALS helped trap me in my own skull. Your kind is the reason I can not stay out freely. If you still think you have done nothing to deserve my wrath, then your ignorance surely has just earned it." Freya placed more pressure to the women's skull, no doubt hurt her between the force of her foot and the earth below.

_____Turning her focus back to the archer Freya smiled coldly. "Shall I test you then. If this women truly wishes for me to stop my actions... Then she would gladly die for the other people by..." Freya slow lifted her hand as she scanned the group before pointing towards the archer boy. "Your hands. If she feels the rest of you should be spared she pays with her life. However, if she feels only SHE should be spared from my wrath..." Freya moved the boot that once kept the women to the ground before her face. "She will kiss my boot, and I'll kill everyone but her. So tell e do they still deserve my forgiveness, or do only you deserve it mortal?" Freya looked at her boot awaiting either response, both would result in death, and that was all Freya had come here to distribute to the mortal world.

It was unfortunate (or fortunate if you're Khaos) that everything transpiring would end up inviting a unexpected new factor to the entertainment Khaos was getting today. Maybe the creature was attracted to the disturbances in the area such as the increasing chaos levels. Or maybe it was just hungry and a had weird timing. Who knew? Regardless, the bird had made the colony it's next meal for the day. Things were about to get complicated which would lead to some great fun for Khaos!

The beating of loud wings and a screech that was heard for miles filled the air. The colonists immediately looked up as a large shadow blanketed the small village. Some just started weeping now. Between the goddess and now this?! They were beyond screwed.

Khaos shrugged as she saw the bird make it's first dive into the village, grabbing the hunter who was in the hay first and pulling him away with a screech. Time to drive the craziness home! Throwing the magically charged ax straight towards the dam. She began to do a little swaying dance of glee as it stuck into the wood and began to throb before bursting in a loud bang. The explosion was just enough to cause a small gush of water to come from the hole. A small gush... not enough to allow the water pressure to completely tear the dam down. Dafuq?

Khaos laughed at this failed scheme. Maybe it would break fully given enough time, or maybe she needed to use some more magic to weaken it more. A stream of fireballs may work... but Khaos's elemental abilities would be impossible to use right while limited. They had traits that made them uncontrollable and thus borderline useless if only 1% of her power was used. Perhaps she should focus on the Roc for now? Her bag of fun was sadly finding little use.... Khaos began to make her way back to the ledge she first spied the village at. It was the best view for this show!

Meanwhile the Roc was crushing the hunter in it's talons as it swept back into the air. The archer acted fast not caring about Freya any more. It seemed he was in desperate survival mode now. Grabbing his bow he fired with incredible skill. the arrow shot straight up into the birds eye and it's pain was loud and deafening. The Roc blood sprayed down onto the village as the bird angrily looked down at the young man that dared to harm the mighty avian. Dropping it's old prey for the new one. The Roc swept towards him with a terrible screech. The wind of it's wings making windows shatter and barrels rolled. Everyone was running around in a panic. Most slamming the doors shut and hoping to wait all this out.

All the while, the hole in the dam began to grow as water leaked out between the planks throughout the old wooden wall...

_____Freya did not like to share, that would soon be proven when the Roc had arrived and started to cause more death then she was. Standing there for a moment until the archer shot a arrow and drew the bird back to the ground. Slowly walking to get between the bird dive path towards the archer as she raised her right hand arcing with all the magic her limiter allowed her to pull out. The ring around her thumb glowing as she tried to pull more to show she was pissed off.

_____But as the Roc was within a few feet of them she let the magic swarm outward in a cloud of black smoke. if the Roc did not pull up to avoid the magic the body would start to rot away as the black smoke spread across the body of the creature. Freya had aimed the left wing, so it she got the hit it would ground the bird and allow her to deal with the creature personally. She would slowly walk to get her halberd, her focus on the Roc as it no doubt would be suffering from getting eaten alive by the magic.

_____"I also don't take kindly to sharing the spotlight with a weak mindless creature." Lifting her weapon before she would aim to sever the head from the body before it could rot away. The head would then be picked up as Freya set her weapon back onto her back with a dull gaze towards the archer. "Bravery might be useful, but only a fool would have fought such a beast in the open." Freya spoke coldly as she dragged the head behind her, the death of the bird would simply have to be enough for her this day.
    @Khaos

  13. The sight of Freya dragging a giant bird head through town led to several fainting mortals. Although truthfully, many were kind of grateful. The gods were definitely fickle beings. The archer nodded sheepishly. Freya was truly a fearsome goddess but she was not foolish. He could never accept how she acted here today though.

Khaos sat overlooking the village from above. Swinging her leg and holding her chin in her hands with a bored look. The primordial chaos so wished that the chaos lasted longer. It looked like Freya was leaving! How sad... the fun never ceased until the toys were all broken. Even the darker of Freya's personalities had to learn this. A good scolding was in order the next time they met... and maybe a gift for that lack of personality management the Norse goddess had.

Standing up. Khaos couldn't help but stare at the sight in a bit of irritation. Oh no... she was not angry. That would have been really bad. She was just disappointed and wanting more. A uncontrollable urge to remove her ribbon and start firing off village decimating bursts into the mountain side was growing. Her hand twitched as it grabbed the Enigma Ribbon limiter.... Khaos's eyes closed as it seemed a internal struggle had taken place for her.

Opening her eyes as she let the ribbon go, she shrugged with disinterest. Whatever, she was a immortal being. Patience was not something she did not possess. The chaotic goddess pulled out her bag one last time... well, it wouldn't hurt to leave her little gift here if the water ever decided to flow. Winding up dramatically for the pitch. Khaos tossed the bag open in the direction of the village. The little eggs scattered into the the air.

Welp, time to go! Khaos placed her hat back on from earlier. She headed back along the path she took to reach this remote place. Hopefully something interesting awaited her back at the manor.

About a hour afterward... a loud roar of water breaking through the northern dam would finally be heard... too bad Khaos did not stay. The toys were about to break...

(OOC: Up to Freya if she wants to still be there for that. Best not hang around for this part lol.)
