Height: 5’8” Build: Lithe and Petite Personality Gwen is a somewhat deranged individual, at times she can be very approachable and clever, beneath the surface of that quiet and reserved mask is a crazed individual, a side of her she understands is indeed the true her but is not 'acceptable' to people. She restrains her true self behind the mask of an elegant and virtuous woman, but that deranged side is always lurking, watching through the holes of that mask ready to take it off whenever necessary. When Gwen doesn't change much, instead she's simply more excitable and less reserved as she embraces the freedom of being able to be who she really is. From a young age, Gwendolyn showed a gift for art, painting, sculpting, she was a magnificent artist and her works often intrigued even experts in the field who found that even though her technique at that age was amateurish, her style spoke to people. It was for this reason, the Pierce family felt that Gwen would be a highly sought after wife, and she was, for a time. Being married off happened quickly and her lovely life's story could have ended there with becoming a mother and living a quiet life of a noble woman going to parties and dances with her husband or other wives. It was only after a day however that she found her husband to be boring, all she wanted was to pursue her art, but he was determined to pressure her to make public appearances or for an heir. Gwen, who was uninterested in his desires or needs adamantly refused until the man tried to use force with her. This was the first time a chink in her mask developed and she thrust him from her room only for news to spread that he killed himself soon after in front of the manor's maids. The affair was terrible and disheartening for the province, but it was obviously suicide, he'd gone to such efforts to make it public so there was proof. Being a widow, Gwen was returned home where her family found she was a little 'different' after her experience as a wife. More reserved, more grown up they thought that the experience was good for Gwen, she now seemed willing to attend parties or do those things she felt cut into her time painting or sculpting. The loss of her husband was a tragedy, but they saw a silver lining in their daughter's blossoming spirit as a young maiden. That was until other suitors began to favor her for her newfound demeanor and talents once more. Unlike her first husband however, these ones didn't even make it through the ceremonies and either had change of hearts quickly or gave up. Unsure of why, others began to considered Gwen a cursed daughter, as if her dead husband was haunting her to ensure she didn't receive the love of anyone else. Quickly her family lost interest in her as a piece on the board, and began making plans for her siblings, but this only made Gwen smile from the freedom that came from being a wastrel. Her parents stopped paying attention to her activities, assuming she was merely painting or sculpting as always, but her works quickly became more profound, but also darker as time passed.
