Secret mission Auriel & Damion DeAndre (INV)

Discussion in 'Chapter 3: Boiling Point' started by Auriel, Nov 18, 2016.

  1. ~Secret mission~

    profile
_____The lightest steps would echo their presence through the streets as their individual causing the light rapid steps rushed towards the dungeon in a frantic run. Auriel was truly cursed with her own tardiness. No doubt the others would already have arrived for the mission at hand and here she was trying to make it there before they finished last checks of gear. Black hair trialed her path as the Pallum weaved through groups of people, a meow every so often came from atop her head as her passenger tried to say ‘look out late pallum coming through’ no doubt.

_____"Traveler you're not helping me at all with those meows.” Auriel’s voice was not as faint has it normally used to be, her eyes looking up trying to see her white kitten on her head who still had a few bandages on him from the last trip he took outside the house with nobody to watch him. Reaching up to hold him as she took a sharp turn towards the tower of babel seeing a few people already there, maybe there would be more she did not know, but suspected she was the last who would arrive. Slowing her speed down as she tried to catch her breath at the edge of the fountain circle.

_____The calming sound of the water and the countless conversations that seemed to be going around did not help her feel at ease as she looked for the people that had contacted her. The small bag on her back held her usual medical supplies and some food, a bag of cat food was also in the bag, and a small cat food bowl was handing from the side of the bag for her small friend who refused to let Auriel leave without him. Reaching up to let the cat rest in her arms as she looked for the people with Traveler helping out.

_____She would only find them as some groups started to depart for the dungeon, and only because Traveler had jumped out of her arms to run over and mean at the group she was to join. Walking over as she reach an arm to the ground so the kitten could run up and sit back down in her head she would smile faintly. "Sorry… I’m Auriel… hope i was not keeping you all longer than you had been hoping…” Her voice was filled with a nervous hum that was an attempt to calm herself around so many people with weapons and their height over her.

_____She was likely however one of the few with a full set of H ranked gear over her small frame. But helmets had been bad since her little companion could fall off much easier with such over her head. Right hand setting on her dagger as she managed a weak smile, while her left moved towards the cart and her Kitten moved to the new resting place with a light meow. "So shall we get going soon then? … I already check my gear and everything… it was partly the reason i was late… that and forgetting the mission was today…” Auriel moved to say near the rear, she was a mage and support, front line was not exactly her favorite job to take when going into the dungeon.

    Failure Is Not An Option
As the male had been looking for some real work outside dungeon diving minor quests here and there the male stumbled across a mission. One which involved dealing with that of the eighth floor. Eyes shifting he'd look upon the wall itself and tug down on it. A series of assigned quests designated to be done in pairs along the way. Taking the quest he'd make his way to the counter and claim his part in the role. Accepted they'd hand him a sheet of paper minutes later describing his role as well as who was to be his partner. Reading it over he'd rub his head some a hand raising to his jaw he'd rub that too, it had been quite some time since the goddess he'd run into knocked him on his ass and damaged the jaw.

The medical examiner had luckily been able to repair it; having only been dislocated and no real damage done; aside from some severe bruising and pain. The male had gotten away with minor injuries, well a minor as one go from such a blow. Still, the concussion alone left him dazed in confused for a few hours longer than most and he had to be picked up by his parents and under constant watch as to not fall into a coma. Yet to most this would be a blessing but to him, it was a clear sign he'd need to improve. Although most would be happy to claim they took a full-blown strike from a god, he would not. First, this goddess who had done so was in fact female, so already he saw what people would say; at least the other males so it wasn't like he'd go around bragging about that detail.

None the less the male was not a fool and he knew although the title god or goddess was attached to them, most had but a fraction of their power so that one blow could have been equivalent to a flick in comparison and that's no feat. So with all this running through his mind the male would properly decide what to bring. His hands shifting through his bag scanning for the potion count, bandages, first aid kit fully stocked. A few other things and then pat himself down for his coin and his blade.

Looking at the blade, he'd stare for a bit, he knew that the blade wasn't the best out there and as such he'd need to upgrade it sooner than later, eyes scanning about he'd note the time and begin to head off home in the trade district quickly. His body moving as fast as he could before rushing into the shop. Looking about he'd see if his father was selling anything within price-range for his liking. Despite not having enough for solid armor he did in fact, have enough to buy one of the simplistic blades; a two-handed one of great quality. His lips would part as he arched a brow and asked his father what he thought.

As the two spoke it was clear his father was eager to sell the blade but unsure if it was wise; noting the male had yet to pick up any real armor he'd rub his chin. It was clear he could benefit from the blade either way, but had he been going to the eighth floor a lack of either would be detrimental. Placing a hand upon his chin he'd look to his son and suggest he get the armor, but seeing the funds he knew this was not as plausible. he was only at the halfway mark, yet seeing the money he'd have just enough to buy one of the higher end quality blades available in the shop; at least within his price range.

Rising from his seat he'd grab one of the large two handed blades and drag it over to the male before placing it upon the table before them. Eyes fixated upon the blade, he'd lift it with one hand his father chuckling, a natural and definitely his kid. There were few and far who could do such a feat, but it wasn't as easy or as simple as lifting it. One still needed to be able to use it. So he'd pull back and place both hands taking a few good swings before stepping out back and trying it out against a dummy; breaking it to pieces. His new found strength with the blade was more than enough for him.

Paying for the new G level 2 Handed blade he'd grin and place it over his shoulder, he might still look rather weak with the lack of armor, but so long as he had potions and a reliable partner he'd most likely do just fine. Besides,he did recover quite quickly from his jaw injury. A sign of how resilient his body was and how manly he was. Now taking his new two the male would slide it into its sheath across his back and smile warmly. The time not much later than he had expected he still had time to rush off and make it to the meeting place for his mission.

As the male ran off towards the tower he'd soon arrive a short time later and look off towards the small group that began to gather, remembering his mission some he'd look over towards the building crew and smile. Approaching he'd bow and introduce himself checking in.

"The name's Damion DeAndre, it is a pleasure to meet you all. I'll be aiding you on your journey up to the eighth floor. I know you might not think much of me but I've gone as far as the sixth floor with a rag-tag crew and this seems to be important. I'm sure whoever I get paired with will make sure we reach there in time. Is there any ground rules we should know or specifics you desire?"

He'd ask as they slowly broke it down for him and he rubbed the back of his head; their goals were simple enough, but would it really make all that much difference, if there were this many people traveling and there was safety in numbers why bother assigning groups subsections. Why not lead with defenders up front then attackers between each one to guard them. None the less the male was ready and eager to assist in any way he could. But the only problem he had was despite the conversation and being ready it appeared his partner was late.

Eyes scanning the area spent a great deal of time trying to formulate and understand just who this Auriel was. Yet it wouldn't have been too long before they arrived; late. His eyes shifting as they appeared to apologize he'd move up and smile before making his presence known.

"Hey there short stuff, you're late...but that's cool. I just got assigned to this mission, today. You said your name is Auriel right, my name is Damion, it looks like we'll be working together.I can see your well equip, perhaps better than me. I didn't have much money, but I did upgrade my blade so we should be able to handle anything in the first four floors easily now; this baby packs a punch and I've learned to become quite good with a blade."

He'd say drawing the two hander like a single sword before shakily swinging it downward and grabbing it with his other hand,

"Still working on trying to use one hand to play with it but I can easily use it as intended; it's large enough to use it as a pseudo form of armor too. I mean it's as big as me, so I should be able to block with it and cleave a few things in half. I'm more or less a tank. I might not have the armor you have on, but I'd still gladly take a hit or two for you. I see you chose to take the backside, guess that means I'll be up front with the lead. I good to go if you are..."

He'd say remembering to keep his chatter brief as he moved forth with his blade drawn and motioned the cart to begin its journey. The crew moving with the rest into the dungeon.

    Dungeon Floor 1

Heading down the path he'd have his blade drawn and at the hip. His eyes shifting about as he kept his optics peeled for any signs of goblins and such; the mot common and known enemy of the first floor. His lips parting he'd shout back.

    "Everything clear there?"

He'd ask as he looked to the formation they took guarding the cart; both he and his partner and the hired mercenaries which held the sides. His natural guardian instincts kicking in were prepared to launch his body in the direction of those who needed him should anything arise upon the first floor. His blade craving the taste of it' first battle he felt the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he shifted his gaze back,

"Careful everyone we are reaching ur first room."

He'd say his blade resting upon his shoulder as he stopped moving; a few feet ahead to scan the area as he motioned a few men to shift position of where he once stood. his eyes scanning the area some he'd thought he heard some rocks shifting to the side his body falling back some as he now walked upon the side pushing a few men upward to cover the front and right; he felt comfortable with just a few besides him with Auriel. His true goal to save the most energy he could among those traveling with him. He knew with a few of the expeditions already taking the lead they'd wipe out the majority of his problems, but the sheer numbers of early on mobs made this relatively useless.

It was then he'd note glowing eyes off to the side as a goblin burst forth to strike a nearby ally.

    "GOBLINS!"

He'd shout as he swiftly swung his blade; the force and impact enough to send the foolish goblin in half as he protected the first male; having only to dash a short distance. His sixth like sense for the protection of his allies sent him once more to the front as he used his blade to block.

"Easy men, these are simple creatures, hit them but conserve energy. Strike them once and move on, allow your allies to aid you and we should clear them with minimal effort."

He'd say, hoping such efforts truly would work in such a confined and small area; yet at the same time, he was hoping nothing would be damaged or taken out this early on. His gaze shifting back to look upon the girl named Auriel, was she indeed alright, what was her skills. His attention off the goblin before him he'd be struck in the gut before he punted it into the air with a kick out of frustration then sliced it in two with a swing of his blade similar to a bat before resting it upon his shoulder once more a grin upon his face; the attacks made were nothing but he knew again not to be overconfident or too cocky as the first floor for most was simple and easy; the floors to warm you up.

Looking back his lips would part as he saw the aftermath of what had happened; bodies upon the ground the stones he'd halt the crew and they'd all pick up the stones; him placing it in his pack he'd grin,

"Alright any goodies like this I'll carry for us all and divide at the end; I'm a supporter first after all. So please don't be afraid to ask me to carry anything needed."

He teased some as he kept his distance from the mage, having had a bad experience with one in the past; he knew they were dangerous and often not worth getting to know as their life expectancy was always questionable. If it wasn't the enemy it was themselves that killed them. Yet he did kind of feel bad for not bothering with the kid, rubbing his head some as they carried on he'd look back and shout

    "You okay back there Auriel?"

He'd ask some as they began once more treading forth into the descent that was this mission to the eighth floor. How far would they go, how far could they go? How far behind would they be in comparison to the other groups? So many questions and so little time to ask, yet at the same time the male was confident they'd do just fine, but only time would tell.

  3. Floor -one-

    profile
_____Auriel was not much help at all during the goblin fighting. Her dagger stayed held as she kept her back to the cart with the materials on the back side of the group. She still did not feel safe using any of her magic around people considering exactly how it moved around making it truly dangerous when used with groups of people around. Sighing as the fighting came to an end she simply looked over for who might have been hurt. Walking up to one of the hired mercenary who had a small cut in his arm she looked up to him holding a small roll of bandages.

_____”If I need a support to patch me up i clearly messed up. Get back to being dead weight, i don’t need any medical attention.” Auriel would look down and quickly move to the back side of the cart as they kept moving. Her Kitten hissing at the rude person up until Auriel reached to pet him and assure him. ”It’s ok Traveler, this is how things tend to be in the dungeon for me… You just don’t go running off on your own, this place is not nearly as safe as the slums was and look what happen to you there.” The Kitten would meow in a almost protest like manner before starting to fall asleep on the girl’s head.

_____The rest of their travel through the first floor was proven somewhat easy to be honest. The had only encountered maybe a small group of two or three straggling goblins that the hired helped quickly removed from the path the cart had to take. Auriel was not much of a fan of the route as the kept going. They had to stick to large tunnels and those would get hard to defend in for her small weapon. But as they kept going it seemed her help was entirely unneeded at this point.

_____Reaching the stairs to the second floor though she felt more urge to help with the cart getting down the stairs. Setting her friend onto the cart who was still sleeping peacefully she moved to try and offer a hand with setting the wooden ramps that would let the cart go down the stairs easier. However when she reached to hold up part of the ramp to help set it down she was pushed back by the same adventurer she had offered to help tend the wounds of. ”You have not ran off crying yet Pallum? We don’t need a weak person trying to hold the ramp as they go down stairs. Scram kid.” Auriel would clench her fist before walking to the back of the cart to idly pet Traveler while she waited for them to move forward.

_____When they began the descent downward Auriel could not help but worry a great deal as she surveyed the surrounding area. She knew the first few floors all too well for increasing difficulty. She kept her eyes and ears peeled for anything as they took the last step of stairs. Her focus setting on the group as they took the ramp apart and set it back onto the cart before moving on.

    Floor -Two-

_____Sure enough the group was met with an early welcome to the second floor, seven Kobold soon circling the opening from three entry points drawing the group into alert. Each would have to fight a kobold even Auriel who did not think she was going to do all that well and likely need help from others but got ready to fight anyways. Her dagger was not all that large, and with her fear of using magic still present she had to fight this close quarters. Wielding her Dagger in one hand as she set her hand to Traveler to tell him to stay where he was until she was done fighting before rushing away from the cart to deal with the creature.

_____The thing about Auriel’s close combat, it was terrible even against slightly intelligent creatures. She managed the first strike with a cut against the left arm of the Kobold only to have it reply with clawing her arm because she forgot to leave herself some defense option and rushed without thought. Her armor was holding enough to get her away with no more then torn fabrics but it did not change the fact she was no closer to defeating the Kobold than before. She could not even bring herself to look if others needed help because she would only drag the Kobold she had along and make it harder on them no doubt.

_____Walking back a few steps before she would rush forward trying to stab the goblin in his chest right around the heart region. While she had decent speed and precision, she lacked the strength to stab through the Kobold’s chest and wooden armor, both mentally and physically as she only made a dent before running away from a swipe. Her focus was shaken as she could feel the gaze of others against her back. Most the others had finished their fights and began placing bets if Auriel would live to see the end of the mission through.

    Failure Is Not An Option
As they cleared the floor some with the goblins he'd grin proudly of the work yet his partner seemed off or at least busy. Walking over to see what was up he'd stay close by shifting his gaze to her almost as if to ask her but pausing to avoid and real inquiries instead simple banter.

"That was intense huh. Been a while since I worked up a good sweat after a fight, look at you. Too easy for ya huh not even a droplet of sweat. Might have to do some of your training regiment huh kiddo."

He'd say as the hired help cleared anymore of the minor and useless mobs, eyes shifting some he'd look to the quiet one not saying much just walking he'd look to her as they arrived at the second floor and then glare at the rude men as they told her to scram. His lips curling he'd stop moving and press back on the cart.

    "Apologize...."

The man looked to him and laughed asking for what.

"You were rude and disrespectful to this girl. I don't care if she is a pallum she is here to help you and as such she's done a fine job. Now don't make me ask again. All sorts of accidents happen in these dungeons that last thing you want is to die or get injured and be left behind its folks like me an her who would carry your ass even though you don't deserve it. Now we can continue to banter about why you should apologize or you can find someone else to tank your hits, I've seen your options these guys can bare dish out hits let alone take it. but if you wana be a prick about it then fine. Good luck to you."

He'd say as the figure grumbled and apologized then walked off to the back. A warm smile shifting to the girl a he laughed.

"Don't take shit from none of these guys. They are just grumpy old farts, besides your not useless. It's cuties like you who raise the moral, trust me when all is said and done these poor bastards would gladly raise their blade to defend your honor even if just to get a thank you then they'd sooner care to aid the man next to them. The names Damion short stuff, it's a pleasure to meet you. Feel free to call me D if you like, although I won't lie I'd love to play with your pussy some, can I see it?"

He'd say some smiling goofy like before blushing heavily,

    "I meant the cat...."

He'd say before scurrying off and returning to work to give her some space, of all his wordings and all the things to say. Dear lord was he a fool. Yet as the male soon heard the cries of kobold he'd move about slowly towards the back where two appeared. Charging in himself he'd back one up against the point with his blade; the force alone strong as he knocked it up and back before charging in to break the gap with a
swift strike down slaying one himself nailing it's crystal. Although he wanted it the goal wasn't money, but protecting the damn cart. Yet as it passed they seemed to clear their monsters and just watched the girl.

A deep rage filling him he'd burst in slamming hard into the beast as he sliced it in half; this new found rage and strength making him a siege like monster on the field. as he swung the blade back again slicing it before it collapsed and a shard app read. Slamming the blade into the ground he'd breath heavily before scolding them all as she shouted.

"SCUMBAGS ALL OF YOU! Would you really throw away her life on bets, instead of assisting and aiding her? Tell you what. You...come here, let us fight I'm large monstrous right. Place your bets who will win me or him. No? what about me verse him. Oh don't look at me like I'm some kind of crazy villian here. There is no difference between her and them. A monster is our enemy, not her. Not me. So either get your shit together or for every time I even begin to feel you are mistreating her I'll break my blade across your armor and if it cracks and I slice through know you killed yourself..."

He'd say walking up to her as they began to move ahead some looking to her,

"You okay kiddo? Sorry about that, not normally so angry I just don't like seeing team mates get hurt when it's unncessary. Also sorry about earlier and the pussy thing. I totally meant the cat. I just...lets start over. Hello cutie the names Dmaion I'd love to get to know you, cute cat by the way might I hold him. I love animals...what's his or her name?"

Hed say attempting to make small talk, the next few floors would become again a bit more difficult luckily most floors were cleared by others ahead and those that followed could deal what they missed. His eyes shifting some as the reached the seventh floor he'd smile.
    Seventh Floor

Although by this point they were near the home stretch they had mostly been cleared. The enemies should have been cleared by the others and the group prior would have helped clear the ants. Yet at the same time. These ants were still around but scatter so he'd just keep an eye out for them. a faint smile pased as he walked beside the girl some as he smiled. He stood six foot two inches which seemed tall compared to her height but he'd nibble some at his cheek.

"I won't lie, your cute but your far too timid to be down her alone. What's the deal? I mean you look skilled, your well equipped both physically and well genetically, tell me. Why so afraid. It's clear you'er holding back. Maybe if you'd like we can maybe train together sometime and I can maybe even give you some pointers, over dinner perhaps?"

He'd ask her curiously as if he wasn't sure how she'd respond, yet hopeful that it might be a good one.

_____Auriel could not even do much more then turn seven shades of red as Damion spoke to her. She was terrible with talking to others, and more so when they seemed to be hitting on her. If he had waited a moment longer to correct the comment made about her cat she would have sent a barrage of magic at him until she passed out from the embarrassment. After the Kobold incident she was terrified of him.

_____Eyes looked ready to cry as she first stepped back from the person who was yelling, that was never a good sign in her book if someone was yelling. As he kept trying to call her cute she had enough, trying to stop the name at cut with a waved hand to sign for him to stop talkinging. ”Auriel… My name is Auriel… please stop calling me cutie…” Looking to Traveler who was hissing for getting called cute also, and to show he was ready to fight Damion if he hit on Auriel again.

_____”His name is Traveler, and he tends to like to go to people before they can pet him, so it’s more his choice if you can pet or pick him up.” Auriel would keep her distance from the male trying to make sure he could not touch her and cause her to freeze up. What was attempted to start small talk had only caused Auriel to avoid talking to him o avoid reason to panic and hit him with magic for causing her to feel uneasy.

    Floor -Seven-

_____By the seventh floor though she felt ignoring him was not going to work forever as he spoke again. Looking down before she raised her hand and a small orb of arcane magic flicked before fading as she moved forward. ”My magic is not easy to aim… Even if i try to aim it… Arcane magic is … well offence magic is a lot harder to use then healing magic that i'm used to.” She was back to a fully red expression due to the dinner comment but as they kept moving she shaked her head and kept moving.

_____Travler had moved back ontop her head at some point and was sleeping peacefully as they began looking through the floor to find the last flight of stairs. Auriel could only feel something bad was going to happen to the group soon, either on the current floor or when they thought they had been safe. Looking down to her hands as she saw flashes of blood in her vision and quickly returned her focus forward.

_____One hand was against the side of her head. She still could not forget that one dark memory, even if she forgot so many other things the darkness she had to witness never left her mind. Turning a corridor to see the stairs she would sigh with relief. Soon this mission would be over and her and Traveler could get out of the dungeon and she could avoid the place. She had made up her mind, the dungeon was no place for someone like her.

    Failure Is Not An Option
As their conversations were brief there wasn't much more he could say; the majority of their travel was quiet and she seemed to just avoid him. Yet towards the end she opened up more than he expected. As she showed him the magic he'd look in awe. Lips parting to speak he'd smile noting her cat sleeping and chuckle.

"That's cool Auriel, really cool. I won't lie I'd be totally afraid if my hands could do that and not just for the more perverted reason but in fear of it blowing up in my face. I can totally get why your afraid. I too would be petrified at this sort of thing. But to be fair and to put this into a perspective you may or may not be able to relate to... You only fail one hundred percent of the time you don't try. So although it's scary you might just have to use that magic if not to save a life to save your own. So at least consider practicing some. Besides I think it'd be cool to hear an awesome tale about the mighty PallumAuriel and her trusty kitten Sir Pounce a lot formally know as traveler cuz he needs a more bad ass name. Speaking of, how did you come along traveler. Both the name and the kitty himself. He seems protective of you, it's cute."

He'd say listening to whatever she had to say. Yet still keeping his guard up, despite now seeing the stairs and making it down just fine. Although the crew was a bit untolerable. He'd at least possibly made a new friend or acquaintance for his questing times, if not dungeon diving. Eyes scanning the area around them as they finally arrived on the eighth floor he'd give her a thumbs up. Thankfully for them, the majority of work was done by other groups spearheading the grand journey.

Lips curling he'd part them to now speak with her as they appeared to complete the job near perfect no real defined issues with the gear nor workers, a few of the hired help were injured but nothing she couldn't handle nor those who were on the floor with them. His attention shifting as to wait and see what they were to be paid he'd smile some and move a bit closer to her while the final inventory checks were being done.

"So what made you wana try this ya know, since you're so afraid. I mean, there must have been some reason or thing which made you wan to explore here. Take on such a task, testing your mettle, maybe the bravery?"

He'd ask curiously as he sat there waiting for the mission to be dubbed a success. The cart now fully down the dungeon and so forth. Arms folded he'd simply sit there and listen some, a soft nudge made to try and get her to be a bit more forthcoming about the information. his goal to try and get her to talk more if not try and understand her some. He wanted a new friend but she was a tough cookie to crack it seemed, just who was this pallum girl; who was auriel and why did she do what she do. What was her thinking process adn was she single?

_____Auriel would look upward trying to see Traveler on her head before she spoke. ”He is the son of my other cat snowy. He has two siblings, Sparky and Eevee. I’m not sure who his dad was since i found Snowy hurt and with no collar a while back before he and his siblings had been born.” She looked down before reaching to move the kitten and hold him in her arms while petting him. The little one not so much bothered as he yawned and fell back asleep.

_____When he asked her what made her go into the dungeon though she would stop petting Traveler and looked to the ground before she spoke. ”I used to be a bit braver… But after i failed to treat the wounds of an adventurer and they died in my arms… It did a heavy blow to my mind… I thought I was over it … but clearly being in this place still takes everything just to walk through it… I guess my place is on the surface. After this mission i think i'm going to ask the guild if my right to enter here could be removed.” Auriel would keep her gaze down before she bowed her head and went to get her camp set up.

_____She figured it would be stupid to try and go back up the floors as it was approaching nightfall but maybe she could tag behind a group in the morning or something. She did not have much for a camp to truly set up. Setting her bag against a tree as she got some food out for Traveler and set it down for him beside her as she sat against the bag looking to the cave roof. She was no adventurer, she was not a thrill seeker, and while the view was something else, she did not like the road to get here.

_____Looking over to the cart of materials she could see them unloading and leaving things around the area where she assumed each was to be built. Her urge to go and help was lost from her own thoughts dragging her down a bit too much. Traveler slowly curling up at her side before he reached to the rim of his bowl and pulled it over so he could eat and rest beside Auriel who smiled at him. ”We made it to the eighth floor without you running off and getting into trouble. Please try to keep it that way Traveler… this is not an area you should try to have an adventure alone at.” The kitten meowed between mouthfuls of food as Auriel laughed at him.

_____Her hand reaching to a bottle of water to fill the bowl with something for him to drink after he finished licking the last of the food up. She was not so much worried about eating food herself just yet, a slight yawn escaping her lips as she began considering if she should try to get some rest before the morning and her attempt to return to the surface to look for work that was not as risky as the dungeon to undergo when she was not working for the military.

As she talked about the cat it was clear she cared about him; just as much as he cared about her. Listening to the tale of his origin he'd chuckle at the other names. She was definitely a bit juvenile when choosing but then again he'd be no different. It was rare to see someone chose human-like names for pets. None the less as she continued to answer his questions he'd rub the back of his head some and shake his head frowning and become blunt with her.

"You're an idiot. Shit happens all the time...but I can sympathize. I made it all the way to the sixth floor once, I was stabbed and left for dead with another girl. All by some greedy asshole. Well, lucky for me I didn't die and I got the girl out. However, notice how I said me. No matter how strong I was, no matter the fact I got her out she still died. If death is at your door he waits for no one, no matter what you do. The fact you think you couldn't have saved him and blame yourself is silly. I did my best to save that girl as I bled out and nearly died myself and in the end if it's your time it's your time. All your doing is being a coward, running away from your problems."

he'd say bluntly as he looked to her and stood up tall and looked down at her with a serious look at his face, his blade pointed at her he'd speak once more in a serious tone almost as if to make his point clearer.

"You quitting doesn't save anymore lives, in fact your dooming them. If you really feel you are to repent for what you did and want forgiveness from the man you failed, don't toss his memory to the side. Embrace it, let him live on in your determination, your resolve. Make sure it doesn't happen again to the best of your ability. Don't let it shake you to your core and turn you into a sniveling coward. Imagine how traveler would feel if he knew his mama gave up and no longer wanted to do what made her happy in fear of failure?"

he'd say some lowering the blade as he crouched some now eye level with the young girl attempting to lift her chin and smile warmly speaking once more.

"Don't give up ya idiot. I believe in you, but you need to believe in yourself. Embrace who you are and remember why you did this to begin with..."

He'd say as he attempted to ruffle her hair some and build up some encouragement in the girl. As he let her go off to her camp he'd do whatever it was they desired of him which at this point was to unpack the carts and set up the stuff so they could begin working on building things. A series of bricks and stone moved he was amazed at how much was still good and of use, some materials not so much but that was just due to the faulty craftsmanship of some of the stone that simply grumbled away; a few obscenities were heard as some of the craftsman complained.

As he finished helping unpack he'd lok about and notice the camps and the food as his stomach growled yet he'd sigh remembering he didn't pack much but none the less he'd spot Auriel once more attempting to converse and say hello.

"So how long you staying and have you thought over my words. I got some extra snacks here if you like? Actually, I might even have a bit of dried fish left over for this little cutie."

He'd say sitting down as he plopped beside her some and pulled off his pack to take out some food, the tiny dried fish slivers place down as a peace offering for traveler before looking to her and offering an apple. A warm smile exchanged as he would continue despite her efforts to push him away; become friends.

_____Damion had crossed a line he should not have. Auriel’s figure glowed with hate towards him. He thought risking her life was something she was happy about? He thought he could just keep going to see her despite every clear sign she did not want to deal with him? Her hand rose and pointed at him as Traveler ran to get out of the way. ”Blast!” From the simple command a bolt of Arcane energy would go straight for the right side Damion’s head.

_____”Leave me alone! Clearly i do not want to be around you and if you keep following me and trying to talk to me i will do more then give a warning shot!” Her voice was loud and clear as she picked her bag and belongings up and stormed off, Traveler hissing at Damion before running after Auriel who now searched for a different spot far away from Damion as possible. ”I hate people like him! They think they can do whatever they want and everyone likes them! It’s the second most annoying thing about this life and a large reason i want to die already!” Her tone was kept to herself and Traveler who climbed up the Pallum and curled up on her head meowing in reply.

_____”I don’t care if he was trying to be nice! I don’t need people like him talking to me! He has no idea how to deal with people in my state, nobody does… People like me are best left alone to die in some unknown alley and never be found…” Shifting her bag on her shoulder as she kept walking away from Damion. Her focus would move to the stairs that led back up to the surface, the thoughts of just leaving alone hung heavy on her mind because of Damion.

_____Traveler’s safety was the only reason she stopped herself at the first step. She held no care for her own life, but the poor Kitten would no doubt do everything to try and save Auriel if she got hurt in the dungeon, and she could not have his death on her mind before dying herself. Or die knowing he was still no doubt trying to protect her corpse. Reaching to hold the kitten as she sat at the stairs petting him. No matter what, she could never make up her mind it seemed.

_____Eyes set back on the builders and other people she could see from the stairs. If Damion tried to talk to her again at any point or went to touch her she would show him exactly what she could do with magic and why she feared it going haywire. But if he left her alone at the stairs she would stay there petting her cat and letting tears fall from her eyes. The images of Hinabi dieing in her arms resurfaced causing her more pain to keep living knowing if she was only stronger she could have saved him, and not left Goddess alone with no more Familia members.

    Failure Is Not An Option
Eyes widened at her actions as he moved to ensure it hadn't hit him.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!? You crazy bitch! I was only trying to help and friends. Fuck you then go and kill yourself. I don't care anymore....fuck."

Annoyed and done with the matter he'd wave her off.If that was how she was going to be when all he did was try to be nice and befriend her the so be it. No point in trying to please the world or help them all. Instead, he'd return to focusing on his meal and eat. Pissed and angrily biting into the apple one of the works came over.

"What happened the white knight the pussy to spicy."

Eye not even bothering to meet his gaze he'd mumble between chewing.

"Fuck off...I'm not in the mood."

As the male laughed he'd shrug.

"Suit yourself champ, now you know why we didn't want her around. Well, you learned the hard way, you can go collect your pay if you want. But when your done eating there is as night crew that needs a bit of help setting up a shop. If your up for it and maybe want part ownership in the building I'd suggest you join in. They are giving away a few units to those who help."

Nodding he'd finish his meal then head off to help establish the building this offer was far too good to turn up. Not that he had any reason two the job was done, he was getting paid and he no longer had reason to try and be nice to the prissy little bitch of a pallum. Eyes glared from a distance as he noted her off at the staircase spiral. Perhaps she'd get what she deserved; karama would get her one day. None the less he'd let it go personally and return to working this night shift to reap his rewards.
