Patience and Healing

Parvati couldn't help but muse about the bard's music. Music was definitely the girl's livelihood and she felt that without it, she really wouldn't be the same. So she couldn't blame her for saying that that music was how she survived this entire time, though the image that came to mind was of her playing on the streets for money. She knew that wasn't the case, but still, it was a little concerning.

The Amazoness couldn't help but smirk as the bard blushed a bright pink. "Cute when blush," she murmured, looking into Korra's face, "And does make special." She let go of her. "Come, let us go." She continued to be by the supporter's side as they went down the streets. Finally, they arrived at the inn she was staying at. "Here," she said as she opened the door.

  2. While Korra wasn't exactly destitute at the present, Parvati's thoughts of her playing music at the road side weren't far from the truth. When she was very young, before she'd had Kirin's help she was playing music by the road side for money, earning just enough to buy some old bread or dry untrustworthy veggies. Korra would have had a very sad and tragic life if it hadn't been for that chance encounter with the Draconian horse no doubt.

Though seeing Parvati comment on how cute she was with a bit of bush at her cheeks, Korra grinned widely. Korra didn't blush often or easy, but she did get shy around those who were very willing to join her. Though when Parvati let her go, Korra stumbled a little, uneasy on her feet, she leaned against Parvati's side for support as they went the rest of the way. Seeing Parvati opening the door though, Korra stepped in happily, trying to look around to see the way Parvati lived or if there was anything cute left lying about in plain view for her to spy.

The inn wasn't all that drab. Though made of wood, there were some objects placed meticulously in one spot to enhance the look, mainly potted plants and pictures. There was a receptionist at a desk, who was currently greeting a customer and working with him on the accommodations and how long he would be staying. It was rather boring, but Parvati didn't mind. Just as long as she had a roof over her head, she would be fine.

She waited for the customer to finish before going to the receptionist. "Welcome back, Parvati," she said politely before her gaze landed on Korra, "Brought someone with you?" The Amazoness nodded.

"She will be with me tonight. I assume, perhaps, paying?" she asked. The receptionist nodded and she took out her pouch of valis to pay her. "She is staying with me in room," she said. The woman had to raise an eyebrow at that.

    "No different room?"

"She is staying with me. It is, somewhat, hard to understand. But we agreed to it." The receptionist nodded and waved to Korra.

"Alright, I'll tell the innkeeper then." With another nod, she turned to look at Korra.

"Come, bed awaits," she said, going by her side in case she needed help and led her to her room.

  4. Korra stepped in nodding along as she glanced around, it was a pragmatic sort of inn, none of the fake status indicators or fancy baubles or doo dads. It was what she'd come to expect from Parvati after all who seemed to live a life of pragmatism. It was something nice to learn at the very least though, she got to see a bit more of Parvati's heart and personality. Stepping inside, seeing the receptionist, Korra grinned brightly and happy, particularly when she was introduced as the one Parvati intended to share the room with.

Though Korra was initially surprises she wasn't recognized or that the Receptionist didn't warn Parvati about her or anything, after all how many people had Korra tried to do something rude to like this before?

Though when Parvati gesture for her to come along to bed, Korra's grin widened and she felt happier with Parvati. After all, these were the words she wanted to hear a great deal more in the future, wouldn't that be something? Korra's thoughts drifted happily from scenario to scenario, all of which were particularly tame and relaxed, but more special for it.

The last few steps though were particularly difficult for Korra though, after everything had happened, she was feeling exhaustion coming on after all of the struggling, injuring and healing. It had been a hard day, though with bed in sight she was getting more tired, leaning against Parvati she giggled brightly, close enough for Parvati to feel her breath on her shoulder or ear as she spoke. "It's been a long day huh?" She said with a sweet chuckle knowing that she was getting more wobbly.

Parvati helped Korra up the steps of the inn, intent on getting her to her bed. She knew the bard was tired, especially after that close call with Hydra. Heck, the Amazoness felt like she needed a break too. As she helped her along, she began to think about how they met and if it meant anything. For some reason, the supporter had gained her trust rather quickly. It was unexpected to her, being used to distrusting just about anyone for the matter. Maybe it was the supporter's attitude that made her get past the walls she built up.

She sighed as she opened the door and helped Korra out. "Bed, nice," she murmured, yawning a little, "Tired too. Hm, let us go in bed, sure to help your injuries." She walked towards the bed carefully, still staying by Korra's side. The Amazoness had no idea what Korra was thinking at the moment, but she assumed they were alright intentions and nothing too bad.

  6. Korra couldn't help some warmth bubbling up in her heart from the Amazoness's help, Parvati had stuck in there with her where others might have left her behind or forgotten or worse. Her trust in Parvati was well deserved though it seemed, she judged the girl well it seemed, Parvati hadn't let her go yet. "Thanks... It is nice too." She said with a sweet yawn of her own, walking along with Parvati towards the bed, Korra tried to flop down first so that Parvati wouldn't have to keep carrying her, she didn't want to force the girl to keep holding onto her after all. Though looking up to Parvati from the bed, Korra smiled brightly holding her arms up happily.

"C'mon? Join me?" She teased as if she was expecting Parvati to dive into her arms and sleep together in that type of position. Though her beckoning was largely playful, if Parvati did dive in it would certainly be the big and clear sign she hoped to find today with Parvati. Not wanting to push though, she kept her attitude light and playful.

Parvati helped Korra to the bed, who flopped down on it without a care. She couldn't help but sigh, wanting to do the same herself, but couldn't because the girl was in the way. Still, it seemed as though she was offering for the Amazoness to join her. She would expect to see her open her arms out when beckoning her with her words.

With a nod, Parvati got into the bed and inched closer to the bard. "Move a little," she grunted, trying to get comfortable. She had to admit, being near a person was surprisingly warm. It was a given in the sleeping bag of sorts Korra had, but now they were in bed. Together. With unknown intentions on Korra's side. She tried to push that thought away as she blushed slightly.

  8. Korra moved, a playful pout on her face since Parvati didn't seem willing to leap into her arms as she'd originally hoped. Though it was natural and even perfectly understandable, it didn't stop Korra from being adorably cute and pouting from the gentle refusal. When Parvati did lay down, Korra would once more try to slide over towards Parvati, as she did in the sleeping bag she tried to rest her head against her chest just like she did back then. As if it were natural, as if that was her place to rest, like a cute pet she curled up and rested her head against that same place.

She had decided though, now she would make her move! She would make a move so profound and deep that it would surely unlock some hidden feelings! This was how she was hyping herself in her heart, but the result was rather simple. Turning her head up, she brushed her lips against Pavati's chin, the soft feeling of her lips brushing past as a playful and kind gesture. "Thanks again for taking care of me... I'm glad I put my trust in you." She spoke softly, a very low mellow whisper, that was the extent of Korra's plan at least, as far as she was willing to push, but she seemed to think it might be enough. Whether or not it would end up so though was unknown, but Korra didn't want to try and peer pressure someone she cared about with rude or hasty demands or action.

Parvati allowed the bard to rest her head against her chest. It wasn't inappropriate touching or anything like that, so she was fine with it. Really, she didn't think there was a bad bone in Korra's body and she seemed so...innocent in some regards. She didn't know that that wasn't the case, however, and that Korra had other things planned for her.

She blushed furiously as she felt Korra's lips go to her chin and kissed her. She didn't know how to react to that at all and her body became a little tight at the gesture. "I-I..." Her thoughts were racing as she stared at the bard for a moment. "...F-Felt nice," she said. Immediately she mentally slapped herself for saying such a thing. After all, she could take it the wrong way.

  10. Parvati's reaction to the soft kiss perked Korra up a little, that was always a positive reaction after all, but whether or not it meant there was something there deeper or if Parvati was just being nice was hard to discern. Regardless though, this was what Korra hoped to find with her efforts! In reaction to Parvati's assumed interest and feelings though, Korra turned her head up once more to try again since Parvati said it was nice, why not try one more in thanks?

"I'm glad!" She teased back snuggling into Parvati's chest. If the girl didn't disapprove Korra would try to cling to her waist or lower stomach to sleep against her as if she were a pillow. "I'll get some rest then okay? When I'm all healed up we can practice magic some more if you want." She offered with a small and reassuring smile, her playful plans only going so far. She got some kind of confirmation that Parvati had feelings for her after all, even if it was vague, it was what she hoped to find.

Parvati wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest and welcomed the cuddling from the bard. Her eyes lit up at the mention of magic. "Yes, great help much needed," she said, grinning happily at the thought. She didn't mind the thought at all, after all, she did want to get stronger somehow. But that would come with practice and the only "safe" area to do it without starting a fire was in the Dungeon. She wondered how often Korra was going to be her partner during these excursions.

Without thinking much about it, the Amazoness wrapped her own arms around Korra and pulled her in somewhat. She sighed as she thought about how the comfortable feeling would go away once Korra was gone. ...Wait. Her blush came back as she realized what she had just thought and immediately chastised herself for it. It wasn't like she was in love with Korra, it was too soon. But she did view the other as a friend, an eccentric friend. She had grown used to the girl's whims and had mimicked her gestures because that was what the bard did, right? I really need to stop thinking about that, she thought as she closed her eyes. She began to drift off quickly and was soon fast asleep.

  12. Korra snuggled in, cuddling as she usually did to try and get to sleep. Though when Parvati dozed off feeling comfortable, Korra found she wasn't the first one to fall asleep. Glancing up at Parvati's sleeping face, for a moment, Korra bit her lip, her playful and mischievous side coming out as affectionate thoughts came to her head. While Parvati slept, Korra tried to lean up to give her a gentle kiss at the lips, nothing deep or jarring, no, a simple good night's kiss, short and sweet but the taste of the girl's lips would be left behind as she moistened them happily before trying to lay back down against Parvati's chest.

Sleeping together wasn't particularly indecent, but she lifted a hand from Parvati's waist to rest it at her chest in a place the girl would no doubt be upset over if she was awake. Tenderly resting her hand and head against her supple chest, Korra relaxed gently into the position with softness against her cheek and palm, it would be the most restful sleep she'd gotten in a long while. Though Parvati might wake up and believe it to be a disaster, for at least the moment, at least right now for Korra it was perfect and delightful. It wasn't worth the risk of making Parvati angry, but this could just be shuffling around in her sleep right? She could have just held on and hugged her a bit closer couldn't she have? Korra justified it that way with a content and satisfied smile, today had just gone so well.
