Greetings DRPers, it's been a rather busy season for everyone, especially me. Although I am sad that it has come to this, it must be done. The reason DRP's closing is partly because I couldn't keep up with the administrative duty as my grads school semester started demanding a lot of time. It is actually not the main reason why I am closing DRP. Due to the nature of staying true to the series, there were many things the staff and I couldn't do. The story format, the relationship between Gods and Mortals, the highly involved main story, and the system itself all followed this design principle, which was supposed to give you the best Danmachi experience; however, it made it far too difficult to veer off and do our own things. While we could have completely changed how it works, I didn't feel like it would have preserve the flavor of Danmachi. As such, I am choosing to close DRP permanently and move onto something else, an original project that I will have complete control over as well as the creative freedom to implement things as I see fit. What does this mean for the DRP community? It's certainly not the end for the bond and friendship we have developed here. This means that the discord and Cbox will remain open. You can also reach me via skype or discord. The site will also remain open for a limited time in case you would like to retrieve any writing. For the special people who have stuck around until the very end and would like to embark on a new journey with the community, we'll compensate you on the new project whenever it is up. Its alright, things like these happen. Can't be helped. I myself were held up by my academic pursuits until recently.
It's unfortunate because I don't think you could have seen this outcome unless you actually went through with doing the site. Despite DanMachi being slightly restrictive, I doubt there was a better place online for it. Plus I'm a shit who didn't have enough time or energy to create/maintain characters >_> Happy New Year everyone.
