Recruitment?! (Open!)

Discussion in 'Tower of Babel' started by Korra Quinn, Sep 29, 2016.

  1. Pre-event

Korra had been spending a great deal of her time looking for an adventurer to support. Though she didn't really have a family of her own at the moment, she had to earn her way somehow. As always she waited with her summoned mount at her back, the creature relaxing much like she was, since they shared exhaustion and injury she wouldn't make it stand idly when it would drain some of her energy as well. Unlike usual though, Korra had a bright red mark on her face, if one were to look closely, they'd see it followed the shape of a slender hand print. Those who knew Korra wouldn't be surprised, if she didn't get one of those marks at least a few times a day, it would be a sign that she was ill to some extent. Though those who didn't know her might be confused about why she was struck, it would become more clear from watching her for a short while.

She had a lute firmly wedged between her thighs, playing with both hands, she sang a song idly. Her skill was incredible, the sounds that poured from the instrument were mellow and relaxing, those around the dungeon preparing to enter couldn't feel the usual sense of dread or tragedy from it. Instead, everyone seemed hyped, well prepared and cautiously confident about their chances while the sounds of the strings washed over them. It was the lyrics however, that provided some unfortunate insight to her intentions. "--She's my queen, a lady of my dreams. Seems cold but she's sweet as ice cream~ Always have my back when I need assistance, long ranged looker; Stunning from a distance--" Her lyrics and gaze clearly directed at a poor and unfortunate archer who crossed her path. The woman's frigid features meant inspiration for the songstress, but hearing the contents, the woman's face cramped briefly before glaring at Korra with a great measure of hostility.

Seeing the woman's discomfort, Korra didn't dwell, instead her gaze listed away, her song continuing until she caught sight of another. A mellow smile painted across her face as her song continued. "--Instant compassion with a deadly sense of fashion; Puts the 'cute' in execute and the 'ass' in assassin. Demands focus, the beauty of a lotus and when she makes an entrance everybody takes notice--" Her song continued as the sight of a woman dressed in leathers and hides approached. With a pair of blades at her hips her role was easy to identify, but Korra wasn't the only one to notice her; she seemed to be the leader of a party of veterans. Hearing the song, the girl turned her head to face Korra briefly, this was no doubt not the first time they crossed paths, but Korra wasn't yet qualified to join her earning a sneer from the veteran before she continued prep work with her group.

Korra couldn't help a relaxed sigh of loss seeing this one also turning her down. It didn't stop he fingers from playing more as she rested against the fuzzy horse that was her familiar. "--Battle Bunny, sweet like honey, brighten up my day like it just got sunny. Don't care at all if the outfit is bursting, broken sword but she'd prove your's is working~" She sang as her eyes crossed over an unfortunate adventurer who seemed to come back after something unfortunate swept over her. Though her outfit was largely damaged and her sword shattered, the darkness from her eyes faded to some extent hearing Korra's song. A weary smile on her face as she shook her head shying away as if not sure how to react. It lightened her heart from the loss she suffered, others were trying to help her along though which caused Korra some pain since they managed to get to her first.

"It feels like I'm firing blanks today Kirin. What do you think?" She asked leaning back to glance at the horse monster's face. It just let out a huff of air in response making Korra chuckle back. "That's true, I guess it's nothing new though-- Let's see... Who else to sing about~" She mused as her eyes went back to trying to scan the crowd while she waited for someone to stifle the loneliness she felt, not only in the romance department, but the adventuring department. Without a familia, she'd no doubt be forced to pass time like this all the time...

  2. Having gotten himself lost after finishing his grocery shopping at the market square, the deity eventually stumbled across a familiar sight. A wave of relief exuded from the titan upon spotting the Tower of Babel, one of the few landmarks he had devoted to memory. Rather than directly proceeding home however, his footsteps grinded to a halt as curiosity got the best of him.

Some oddly playful lyrics had grabbed at the silver haired deity’s train of thought, causing his fleeting attention to once again divert from his original goal. The words to the music however played second fiddle as the man’s eyes widened brightly upon seeing the creature by the bard’s side. Instantly growing attached to such a lovable looking animal, Briareus quickly strode up without any sense of self restraint.

“Ooooh! I haven’t seen one of these since going east to the place with all the squinty people!”

His face immediately froze with horror after realizing the crudeness of his words. Zeus had once warned him to not comment as such. If anything, he was to say “funny black haired people who are hung up on formality.” That said… It’s not as though remembering such advice would’ve helped him any… but that fact had flown way over the titan’s head.

Attempting to recover from his social fumble, the man quickly reached into his basket in order to produce a bundle of leafy greens. “Uhh… want some kale?” He’d hold it out towards the creature as both a distraction and an offering. After all, the book he had recently read suggested altering the subject of the conversation after misspeaking.

  3. Korra didn't stop her playing when the white haired diety joined her. Moving at her own speed as always, the bard was someone who lazily approached life at an even pace. Her mellow smile turning up greeting the man with a longing sigh as if disappointed. "Haa... I'm not into men-- Fate is so cruel sometimes." She murmured lazily even as her fingers continued plucking strings contently, the warm tone of the strings. Though even her voice was very sweet on the ears as she spoke leaning against the creature behind her.

The Kirin itself though lazily grunted with a huff at the man's words, seemingly disinterested. Unlike Korra's mellow and reasonable nature, the mount seemed to have a measure of pedigree and status, it's lofty attitude lorded over even gods, but it calmed it's disgruntled nature with a soft pat from Korra's hand. "Come on now Kirin, don't be like that. It's free food." Naturally Korra wouldn't let it refuse food, simply because they shared both injury and exertion, if Kirin was well fed, she'd be energized and vice versa. The majestic creature at first seemed dissatisfied, but eventually leaned forward to crunch down on the leafy green it was offered, turning it's head down to chew on it as Korra asked. With a contented expression, Korra nodded and turned back to the man who offered it the leaf giving him a vague shrug in return.

"I don't really know much about Kirin myself, but ever since I was young, he'd come to me when I call for him with Magic. It was always curious about my songs as well, so it takes care of me." She explained knowing she'd probably be a mage if it weren't for the large horse at her back. It was a fate she didn't want to suffer through. Why force yourself to be so volatile and violent when you could be a career supporter and spend your time lazily supporting people who worked hard for you? In Korra's head it was a no-brainer; Go the easy route. Naturally the creature behind her seemed dissatisfied with it's role as a beast of burden but it didn't fight Korra for a better fate, instead it seemed to begrudgingly accept it's destiny if it meant it could stay near the woman who so passionately stretched out her hand looking for strange women to grasp onto it.

It was after explaining though that she finally perked a brow in answer to Briareus's question though. After all, not many people were familiar with Kirin. "To know Kirin though, you're probably a divine figure yourself right?" She asked rolling her shoulders trying to get more comfortable against the creature in question. This lazily assembled pose was naturally their default position for resting.

  4. A relaxed look of content washed over the titan’s face as he cracked a rare smile while watching the kirin accept his offering. This serene moment didn’t last long however upon hearing the girl’s question.
Having been caught off guard, the god jumped a tiny bit after being startled. His face displayed a look of panicked thinking before a response was finally made. “Ummm……….Yeah? I mean, yes!” Nodding vigorously as if to reassure himself, the man let out a sigh upon clearing the initial social hurdle.

It wouldn’t be long before his foot was immediately crammed back into his mouth however. “Wait… so does he like music? Or is he a pervert?...” His uncensored words struck hard and true at the core of the matter. After all, the bard’s lyrics weren’t exactly safe for ears of all ages to hear. Instantly regretting everything about his life, the deity flushed a bright red as he looked away from the creature and stammered a bit. “S-sorry… umm, that was uncalled for. But you know… those lyrics are pretty direct.”

Pausing a moment to reflect on his actions, he’d attempt to better the situation by perhaps offering a solution to the woman’s lack of success. “Wouldn’t it be better to uhh… sing at a less business focused place? Maybe a tavern or bar?... I heard from the other gods that alcohol often makes it easier to lure women in...” Ok, so maybe the awkward excuse of a titan wasn’t helping his case. He did have a point though.

  5. Korra shook her head slowly as he proceeded to shove foot directly into his mouth hole. She reacted very calmly, her mellow exterior not even blinking in the face of such a question, as if nothing could shock her, Korra truly did move at only a single speed unless women were involved. Nothing could surprise, excite or disturb her, instead, she simply seemed to accept any and all things in strides as relaxed as a person could be. "No no no, you misunderstand--" She spoke, plucking a few strings even as the Kirin seemed to scowl with disapproval and dissatisfaction. The majestic creature it was wouldn't tolerate such slandering, but Korra's gentle strokes of the strings kept it restrained as it mellowed out quickly as she spoke. "--I'm the pervert, he just likes the sounds I make. I doubt very much he pays much attention to the actual lyrics I use, Kirin is rather refined and dignified after all." She spoke with a hum as she glanced back at the creature who huffed before settling back down with it's Kale.

Hearing his suggestion though, Korra couldn't help a mellow chuckle coming from her lips, while it was easier for her to find success that way, it wasn't the kind of success she wanted. In reply she shook her head, her smile sweet as she replied with kind yearning eyes that looked off into the distance. "You can tell a lot about a person from the way they work, the way they shop or travel. Drinking at the bar, you can only ever feel them in that moment; whatever emotion happens to take hold while the drink's in their hand. That sort of encounter might be nice, but it's so fleeting and temporary." She spoke with a soft and relaxed sigh, clearly pleased by things that had yet to come into her life, as if looking into the future where she does finally manage to achieve this dream of her's. Turning her eyes back onto the man, she flashed a warm grin for a moment, letting her idealism sink in.

"I love women... But I 'Love' women. It would hurt to have them leave; It would be sad to see them feel our encounter might be a mistake. That's why I look for them in places like this, to see just how well I'll be accepted." She asked flashing a more sly expression. "When I want some temporary company-- There are other places I go to play, more adult places, but I shouldn't need to explain that... right?~" She said with a bright and radiant grin.

    Briareus likes this.
  6. Though strange as they were, the bard’s words came together coherently for the titan. Accepting them as a natural course of things, he nodded once with understanding without showing even the slightest shred of doubt. “Oooh… I see, I see.” A sage nod was given toward the insight provided regarding the kirin.

Finding himself a bit more comfortable around the stranger who hadn’t immediately begun judging the naïve god, he’d seat himself off to the side in order to further listen. Bag set down on the ground, the deity’s attention had fully diverted from whatever previous concerns he might’ve had. Though not quite realizing it himself yet, the woman had a rather nice… aura about her.

More times than not, Briareus was often left with a strange prickling feeling when encountering others. Between their worries, doubts and insecurities, it left a rather unpleasant feeling. Compared to the masses around them however, a calm sense of liberty exuded from her existence, as if time and other pressing worldly matters were insignificant to the girl. It was a warm and mellow feeling to say the least, something fairly close to what the titan originally had sought.

Pausing a moment to reflect on her words, he’d again nod slowly before attempting to speak his own mind, something the deity often dreaded. This time was an exception however. “…That’s a really insightful way to think about things. You know, I’ve got a nephew that’s too busy chasing skirts and swimming past a fog of ale to ever consider something like that. I know of a certain goddess too that might benefit from hearing these words…” His mind briefly flickered with thoughts of Zeus and Ishtar as he spoke. Though not the most careful with his words, he had somehow managed to leave out their names.

“Taking things slow really is the right way to go about life, mortal or not.” His self-contemplation however was quickly run askew at the woman’s deviant words. Looking up in a confused manner, his voice spoke a bit with questioning before a certain light bulb had gone off within his mind. “Oh?.... Ooooooh...” His face flushed red at the thought as he quickly turned away out of embarrassment.

Quickly trying to change the subject, he’d clear his throat for a moment before altering the topic of conversation. “Judging from the magic… You’re an adventurer, right? Which familia do you belong to?” Though some families had a policy of branding their members visibly, not all abided by this trend. Telling from appearance alone was often neigh impossible.

  7. Korra simply nodded her head back, being rather open about her perverted nature. She wasn't at all stealthy or subtle about it, instead she wore it on her sleeves proudly, once again, everything at a single speed, Korra didn't mind the world around her and how it viewed her for her thoughts and interests. With the god settling beside her though, the Kirin huffed as if bothered, but didn't make any attempt at stopping. It was largely because of Korra's preference, but without her minding, it didn't mind either and rather watched the man like a hawk. She continued to play for a time, idly flicking strings and plucking here or there. Occasionally she'd try to restring, as if feeling the pitch had become off from use, despite her loose and promiscuous nature, she was diligent when it came to her craft.

Being called insightful though, Korra only chuckled back, her mellow demeanor not cracking in the slightest as she rolled her shoulders more ruffling the Kirin's scaled fluff. "I wouldn't say insightful, I'm just a very simple person. It's the reason I get up every morning, the reason I have a hearty breakfast every morning, have a sweet snack on hand, a warm dinner in the evening. It's the reason I sing, the reason I play, why I live my life content as a supporter rather then trying to be an adventurer. Every coin of gold, every monster core, every herb I harvest and ore I find. All of it just for that one single thing." She spoke eloquently, though if one thought about living life for women, it might sound lewd or depraved, but Korra romanticized it so dramatically and felt such a strange passion and sense of depth from her pursuit it might be hard to see it in that same light.

"It's all I'm here to do, and the only thing I want. It's only natural I'd have a good grasp on it and understand the realities of it right?" She asked turning her gaze back on Bria though her fingers never stopped plucking strings even when she looked away, she was that practiced and experienced that she didn't need her eyes to make music any more. "I'm not sure how it is for gods, or even other people, but I've found what makes me happy, even if I can only admire it from afar and imagine what it'll be like when I grasp it, I know what it is. That's why I don't have to rush... I have a life time to grab onto it, and there's simply so much I can grab onto. What would I have to gain from rushing or being impatient?" She asked with a shrug of her shoulders, the question rhetorical and not needing an answer. The only thing that would come from impatience is self-destruction.

Though the God shying away from her description of her nighttime activities made her chuckle, Korra was particularly open about that sort of thing after all. Not that she'd judge others for being awkward when she spoke of it, but she was the type who'd lay all her cards on the table without hesitating. There was no reason to hide anything about herself she felt, all that ever led to was suspicion and unease which went against Korra's personality and outlook to the extreme. As someone who was all about ease and relaxation she woudln't seek out the anti-thesis without a relationship being at stake. "I imagine it's harder for others. A lot of people need so much to survive; good shelter? Quality clothing? Good lighting? Quality food? Expensive liquor? Fresh flowers? They have too much to be impatient for, they spread themselves far too thin. All I need is a soft girl at my side, someone to support and sing songs about... I could sleep under a tree and live on bread and use Kirin for warmth. My needs are so few I can afford to take it slow; I don't envy those people who want more out of life." She said with soft laughter even as she played a few chords idly as an accompaniment.

Though the talk of magic and familia and adventurers made her mellow smile curl. Shaking her head to despell that misconception quickly she tried to correct him with a chuckle. "Not an adventurer. I'm a supporter-- I'll probably continue being a supporter for a long time." She explained with a lazy shrug. "Adventurers have to rush, struggle and bleed on the front lines. I'd much rather have the soft and relaxed role of sitting back and looking after them instead. My worse case scenario, if I need food, I'll just support Kirin down in the dungeon--" She explained tilting her head to indicate the horse who let out a majestic snort as if trying to assert itself as a capable partner. "I do know magic though, I'm adept in Light Magic while I call for Kirin with Arcane Magic. Kirin himself specializes in Lightning Magic." She explained once more glancing up towards the creature who once more majestically huffed as if demanding praise earning a soft pat from the bard before she returned to playing. "We don't have a Familia though-- All I've ever wanted is for someone cute to support in the heat of things. With my reputation, even if I'm capable, nobody really wants a supporter with no ambition and with the history of woman troubles that I have." She added with a musing expression. While that probably wasn't true, Korra herself wasn't someone who actively looked for anything besides women. She was far too passive about anything that wasn't girls.

  8. A few soft chords idly accompanied the bard’s words as she spoke about the necessities in life. In all honesty, Briareus found himself in agreement for most of it. Pausing for a moment to contemplate on his own needs in life, he’d stare blankly off into the distance while still loosely listening to strange woman speak. “I think good company… and pudding are all I need. Definitely pudding.” He’d give a sage nod at his own words, as if saying something profound. Ever since arriving to the mortal realm, the deity had found himself an insatiable craving for the odd dessert. What once was a favorite treat had quickly developed more closely into an addiction.

Dangerously close to falling on a tangent about food, the titan quickly refocused his thoughts after hearing conversation about how the girl wasn’t an adventurer but rather a supporter. Though the line was fairly foggy within his mind, apparently there were distinct differences. From the sound of it, one lot had it rather easy while the other undertook the brunt of the suffering. Though these concepts didn’t quite make sense yet for the god, he’d continue to nod while attempting to comprehend more. “Being a supporter sounds nice… I wonder why everyone dreams of being an adventurer?”

Forgetting the fact that he had initiated discussion about familia in the first place, his eyes grew wide with excitement after hearing her mention them. “Oh! Did I show you my familia member? I only have one... but she’s such a good girl!” Reaching into his wallet for a picture, he’d thrust an arm outward to show the bard an image of a young, red-headed flower of a girl. A sense of pride welled up within the god as he presented her proudly. “Isn’t she so adorable? She’s a smart one too!” His voice quickly dulled however as his mood began to take a turn for the worse. “… Sometimes I wonder if I’m really doing little Apple any justice. Since it’s only us right now, I hope she isn’t too lonely. She doesn’t seem to mind though… but I’ve always been bad at discerning that kind of stuff.”

  9. Korra only nodded her head back hearing what the god needed, it was perhaps out of the norm, but not something Korra would consider weird since there were people who lived purely for food, why not a certain food? Instead as she played another few chords she rolled her head as she spoke, resting against the Kirin a bit heavily as she leaned more weight against it's side. "Then from there all you need to think about is how to get those things, and when you figure that out, wouldn't life become easy and relaxed?" She explained with a blank shrug as if leading the god step by step through how she arrived at her own sense of peace and tranquility. Korra had long since thought these things up, as a poverty stricken youth who survived through music, she had plenty of time to think and made songs with her thoughts as inspiration. The more she wrote and sang, the more she gained an understanding of what motivated her leading her to the enlightened self she was in the present.

The god's comment about why anyone would want to be an adventurer though made Korra chuckle though. It wasn't that she couldn't understand it, it simply wasn't what she wanted in life. Giving it some thought, she changed the pace of her playing to something slower as she spoke with squinting eyes. "Because supporters are dependent on adventurers. You can be an adventurer without a supporter, but you can't be a supporter without an adventurer though. There are some who aren't satisfied being dependent, and want independence to do as they please." She axplained with a tired sigh as if the very thought was enough to crush her motivation. "I don't need something like independence though; I want someone to depend on, someone who would spoil and protect me. When all else fails, I can rely on Kirin, but independence is something I don't need in life, I'd much rather have someone cute and soft to lean on." She said with a longing sigh, as if her loneliness bothered her, but it was a norm she couldn't escape regardless of her feelings. "My ego, or what's more important, my lifestyle is unimportant. I just want love-- the rest I'll let other people worry about."

Korra only let out a sweet chuckle hearing him talking about his own familia and member. Though the picture made her flash a particularly vibrant and suggestive grin for a flicker of a second, her mellow demeanor remained strong. "Ah, that's cute. It must be nice to even have one though. Injustice or not, she wouldn't stay if it were bad. Even a masochist needs something so there must be something you bring to the table for her." She explained with a vague shrug. Korra herself understood that 'injustice' well as a supporter after all. What good is a supporter to high level adventurers many might think, some supporters might wonder if they're truly doing a service, but Korra knew in her heart even if others didn't she would. "There's nothing wrong with just asking her why either. Most of all though rather then thinking about how bad you are you should consider 'what can I do' or 'what makes me different'." She explained giving advice to a god who should probably be advising his familiar

  10. Unaware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing, the god continued to rabble on about his precious familia member until his mood had taken a turn for the worse. Growing rather silent while listening to the bard think things through, he’d nod meagerly, thinking more on the subject. “True… I guess she would’ve left if it wasn’t bearable.” Was that really enough however? No, it really wasn’t.

His suspicions were confirmed after hearing the woman continue to speak. Voice a bit hesitant in agreeing with her sentiment, he’d slowly but surely follow along a similar train of thought. “What I can do for her, huh? I don’t know about asking… but I think we’re on the right track.” His demeanor slowly improving as time passed, he’d eventually send Korra and the kirin a curious glance.

“Would you two want to join my familia?...” Clearly unconfident with his words, he’d shove away the doubts washing through his mind in order to give his best attempt. “It’d be nice for Apple to have some friends." He'd pause for a moment before steeling his nerves and pressing on. "I know you don’t care much for food or shelter… and I’m not sure what I can do for you… but I’m sure we can figure it out. That’s the kind of home I want to make...” A rather hopeful look filled the titan’s eyes as he watched the pair with wavering expectation.

It had taken quite a bit of courage to muster up the willpower to ask, more so than the woman would probably realize.

  11. Korra only gave a nod in answer to the god's suspicions. It was natural that anyone would leave if they weren't being treated well, no matter how deep a debt or connection there was always a limit that could not be crossed without burning bridges. This was something that Korra also understood through varying heart breaks and sadnesses. "It would probably be best to ask her don't you think? After all, that's the sort of thing you can't discover without either history or dialogue." She explained in answer to a question that wasn't really asked. As if anticipating that he'd be confused or in some way caught off guard by her words, she voiced the suggestion first.

Though hearing him talking about not being able to ask, or even not knowing for certain, Korra couldn't help giving a lazy shrug as if it couldn't be helped. "It's not hard-- Go through your interactions you have with her, how often does she smile? When? Where do you see the brightness in her gaze at it's strongest? Haaa-- I need to find a girlfriend." Korra at first started off being as helpful as she could, but the more she went on, the more it sounded as if she were telling the man to probe for love rather then familiarity which brought back the sickening loneliness that she spent so much time fighting off. That crippling tug at her heart made her exhale heavily as even her fingers hesitated striking a few disturbed notes before slowly getting back on track after realizing her error.

"Sure why not." Korra's answer was very abrupt and very direct, there was a good chance this poor god's tension and anxiety would suddenly come crashing to a halt anti-climatically from how flippantly she made her decision. This was certainly her speed though, as she gave her approval before he could even begin explaining the type of familia it was. "All I ever ask for, is freedom to pursue who I want, to love as much and as many as I want. I don't want or need more. As long as you're not trying to change me, I'm fine with whatever." She explained with a lazy shrug, her lips turned into a small mellow smile as if lacking any kind of care or tension in her decision. Without any anxiety, foreshadowing, or any excitement, she agreed blankly as she played a few delicate chords. "I can't say I'd be a good friend, but I'd be sure to give her lots of love at the very least, even if I have to keep offering it over and over~" She mused moistening her lips idly at the thought knowing just how persistent she was at that sort of thing.

Alternatively the Kirin at her back seemed to have no opinion. Uncaring, disinterested, it was as lofty a character as it always was turning it's nose up at the mundane.. Being in a familia wasn't all that momentous for the mount, but at the same time it wasn't nothing either, it was just 'a thing' in the creature's eyes which led to it largely ignoring the conversation.

  12. A small twinge pricked at the god’s senses as he began to feel a negative surge of emotion kindling within the young supporter before him. Prodding repeatedly as if a needle had been bearing down on his skin, he’d shift uncomfortably while watching with a bit of concern. It appeared as though there might be something he could help her with after all. Whether or not the god was capable of assisting in such a field however… that was yet to be seen.

These thoughts would have to wait however, as the overwhelming flood of senses from inviting her to his familia had taken over. Emotions surging at an all-time high, he dreadfully awaited an answer. The god wouldn’t have to wait long however. Like a tsunami reaching its peak, the momentum built from the situation crashed down violently without any warning as the girl responded more swiftly and nonchalantly than he’d ever imagine. His mind still preparing for the mentally simulated rejection, he’d respond somewhat disappointingly before snapping to attention.

“Oh, I didn’t think so… wait - what? Really?!” The pitch of his voice began to climb a bit with excitement before quickly quieting down as the bard began to lay out her conditions. Listening to them attentively, he’d nod once with a firm resolution after hearing it all. “That’s perfectly fine!” He’d trail off for a second, before considering it a bit more. “But uhh… I can’t really speak for Apple. It’s a shared space so… there might be some ground rules on how often your “others” can stay overnight at the home. Is that ok?...”

Hopefully it wouldn’t be too much of an issue. To be honest, Briareus hadn’t really considered it a problem to begin with unless taken to the far ends of extremeness.

  13. Korra couldn't help a mellow chuckle from the man's expression that seemed half at a loss half uncertain. Though she was largely oblivious to the prickling he felt, it was simply a small problem she made into a mountain, one that wasn't worth dwelling on, as quickly as that negativity appeared, it had already dispersed. Remaining relaxed, she watched excitement take over for the god, oblivious to why her commitment would be so valuable to him, but she wasn't going to rain on his parade or poop on his party. Instead, she flashed a smile in wait for his emotions to even out. Korra didn't require much after all, she was fine with a tree to sleep under and a bag to curl up in through the night, maybe some bread here or there to eat so there was no doubt whatever she acquired from such a lifestyle change would only be a qualitative leap upwards.

Hearing about apple's feelings though, Korra's response was somewhat vauge as she shrugged and rolled her shoulders with a measure of indifference. "That won't change anything, love or hate me, I'll keep trying until one of us dies." She explained her level of persistance quite openly. though that didn't mean she'd stalk the poor girl, she'd continue trying to pursue her without restraint. "If I don't, I can't be sure we aren't meant to be after all." She explained with a subtle smile. Even if she sounded forceful and determined, it wasn't as if she would pressure or force someone with violence. Instead, she'd simply keep checking up on their feelings hoping for there to be a change even if it took a life time, she'd chase every woman within her reach.

The talk about her guests staying though made her smile curl at the ends, growing a tad sly as she considered her night time recreation. "You shouldn't worry about that. Unless they're a part of my family I wouldn't have them stay over. Naturally that requires quite a commitment, they might as well be a part of your familia at that rate." She explained casually. After all, if it were a fling, there was no reason for Korra to bring them anywhere, she could just follow them to where ever they called home as she did in the present. There was no need for her to try and give homes to the attractive girls who needed affordable housing, Korra wouldn't make that sort of pitch from the start either. What was more important was the connection and the reasons behind it.

  14. Though the god hadn’t intentionally brought up interfamilia relationships, it appeared as though his words had led the bard to believe otherwise. Not really intending to approach that subject to begin with, he’d shake his head and let out a casual laugh. “Oh, that’s fine.” Without any real discussion on the matter, the two had already come to a clear consensus. Certain lines weren’t to be crossed, but anything else was fair play. From the look of things, it didn’t seem as though the woman truly had any malicious intent anyway.

Upon hearing the additional snippet regarding her family, he’d simply smile while letting out a sigh of relief. Perhaps in some corner of his mind, the god had thought it to be an issue for her. Thankfully, such was not the case. “Naturally. I wouldn’t want my familia to be apart from their loved ones. Your family ought to be ours as well when the time comes.”

With the two parties having naturally come to an agreement, he’d beam happily with a smile while reaching back down for his groceries. “Did you want to visit the home together? Or were you still uhh… scouting?” He’d pause a moment while looking at the lazily lounging pair. Now that he thought about it, he’d have to apologize to Apple later for delaying his return. A sizeable number of logistical issues still needed to be addressed by the deity. Adding an additional member wouldn’t require too much work… but it still stacked on top of the slowly growing mound.

"..........." A moment of awkwardness ensued as the deity froze upon realizing he had never asked for the supporter's name. Talk about putting the cart in front of the horse. "Umm... I'm Briareus. Sorry... I forgot to ask for your name earlier." His face flushed red after confessing to his mistake.
