All things aside, Weissman had to say that this life on Terra wasn't as bed as he expected. Pulling on his gear the man stuffed the last bit of food in his mouth before starting up the link system. Laying down with his arms crossed over his chest his mind plunged into the game. After a few blinks he now stared at the ceiling of a dirty abandon building surrounded on all sides by orphans. It was afternoon now and it seemed just about the right time for a siesta for the children. After all they were working adults in children sized bodies trying to survive on their own.
A sense of pride and joy were felt in the man's chest as he slowly sat up in his bunk. Moving a sleeping child from off of his chest he laid her down in his spot and put the tattered blanket over her body. Time was running out for these kids and still not all of them were fully supplied with clothes to wear for the coming winter. He needed to work and obtain all he could for these precious NPC's. They lived life like a real human, once you are gone you never return. Flexing his fingers the man left the building out by the inner city river masking their base of operation and living. If the guards found out about this the building would be torn down and no where else for them to go no doubt.
Making his way to the Guild Hall he peaked around the building slowly. It seemed rather empty at this point besides maybe one or two people hanging out having a conversation. Moving to the quest wall the lad swiped over it pulling up different requests. He had read majority of them now he would pick up where he left off, moving to the quest in Dunnstads he let his eyes go. Scanning over the words his breathing seemed to slow as in its description it spoke about children disappearing from within their own homes as well. No doubt this beast had taken them from their beds like a sick being. No matter the nature there was a line that needed to be drawn on where to invade and where not to invade to feed ones self.
One might have said Xavier was generally angry at this point but the word displeased would suit just fine. Taking the quest tab off he kept the flyer on his person, he wanted to deal with this one himself if possible. Well perhaps he should do as Steele asked and invite another guild member in order to build their reputation among the people. Opening the list of people he scrolled till he found one person in particular that he remembered from the first meeting. Mahlthor Oakenheart was the mans name, and he too seemed rather interested in the lack of weapons ordeal.
Mail
Hey Mahlthor I have a quest that I'd like you to help me with. Here are the details! Also here are the Coordinates to get there! Let's go hunting!
Location: Dunnstads
Season: Summer
The residents of one of Dunnstads' outlying villages have been scared stiff by a recent threat in their midst. Children are vanishing from playgrounds, inside homes, and everywhere else. There's no place safe and the victim count has been up to six already. The brother of one of the victims claimed to have hidden from a wolf who had the ability to shape-shift into its victims. Investigate the matter, protect the children, and vanquish the hungry wolf once and for all to save all the village children from sharing the same fate as their consumed friends.
Objectives:
- Prevent any more children from getting eaten.
- Kill the wolf.
Sending the message off to Mahlthor with ease the man also sent him a party invite while getting himself ready to go to Dunnstads. He needed to go an accept the quest ahead of time this way Mahlthor could just arrive and they could begin their work in the high plains and less populated sections. Double checking his trash tier gear he quickly went about gathering extra rations for the trip there. He had no doubt they could stop by the village store itself and buy more supplies if needed. Stocking up on several health potions he double checked his water container as well. Debating on getting another one he passed on that option.
Heading out quickly his legs carried him to the nearest stable. Paying up the gold pieces to rent he hopped on the mount and off he went towards the lands of Dunnstads from the city of Stokbon! The ride itself was somewhat long and tiring but he made it there long before the days end would come. As he nearest Dunnstad's bay side city he took a right and up into the high grasslands he went. The village itself was a little ways away from the city making it rather tedious for the city itself to send guards for protection. Of course the village was a poor place as well, living off of the land it was no where near a city yet.
Xavier's eyes were peeled for any caves he could spot in his ride towards the village. Crimson optics peered from beneath a dark hood which covered his head from unwanted insects in his hair. Upon arrival at the village he quickly dismounted and brought his horse to the feeding troth. Looking around he walked towards the rather frightened man who had been waiting for him at the village gates. Weissman did his best to calm the villager to no success, but still managed to accept and share the quest with Mahlthor. Now all Weissman had to do was prepare and wait.
