  1. It was an odd evening today at Stokbon. Well as odd you can get in a holy capital.
Far far away from the pleasantries of the city life where the slums. A nest for the dregs of society you could call it.
Just as night was falling every little rat could be seen getting up and moving out of the slums. They where of course up to no good. One of these Rats went by Janne and he had work tonight. Doing his usual rounds at the slums he found a frail old woman. Her woes matter little, but what does matter is that she needed some work to be done.
Something about a guy tricking her out of a heirloom and some cash. Janne didnt know if it where true or not but in the end it didn't matter. The Merchant lived close to the town center in a lavish house. Getting in and out wouldn't be easy, but for such things there where always answers.
Janne was sitting on the ground near the entrance to the slums. The world clock in his HUD was reading a little before One Am. He flicked a gold piece on his thumb and caught it to do the same again. The worst part about Jobs like these was the waiting. In truth he had no idea if his job posting would even bring anyone in. He might have to do this by himself. Janne waited around for anyone to show that looked like they didnt belong.
Hell even he stood out with his green jacket. Maybe they would approach him first. He would just have to wait and see.

  2. The Stokbon Slums were not a place one went to have a good time. Pestilence practically oozed from the cobblestones. Each shadow contained a host of demons, surely both literal and figurative. Vermin reigned, and the people thrived in the squalor. And this was all a common occurrence when the sun was up. As the moon lulled in the sky, shedding what light it could bear on to the dismal scene below. A church bell — whether the reach of the gods in this area was surprising or expected was a matter of perspective — struck once, offering its prayer for the ne’er-do-wells and company. And tonight they were sure to have company.

Aeiou’s own pitter-pattering feet fell in time with the rats’ as he navigated the winding alleys of the slums. Look down, walk with purpose. That was the mantra that echoed through his mind. He did the former well, hoping that the longer he stared at his own toes, the faster the skeptical eyes watching him from behind dripping corners and through slatted windows would leave his back. This in turn meant that more often than not he found himself looping back around to the same street he had been on just moments before. His fingers clamped on to the hems of his sleeves and Aeiou finally gave in and looked up.

As if destined by fate, a glimmer of gold glinted in the glow of the lamplight, and Aeiou found himself looking upon a man in green. Surely, this had to be the man who required assistance. Aeiou assumed that many in this area would need assistance of some form or another, but this man was different. He was not some ragamuffin that called these streets their home. He sought out a different form of help. He needed a pair of zipped lips and watchful eyes. Aeiou was more than confident he met that description. He found his purpose and walked up to the man, offering nothing more than a curt nod in greeting. If he were to do this job and do it right, he needed to prove from the get-go that he would be of use.

  3. The Slums of the great capitol. A place a man such a Kohaku lurked on a regular basis even if there were other events that kept him away for little bits at a time. The slums is where he called home. Well some of the time. It wasn't the best of places to live but the people here were his type of people. And so he was out in the better parts of town lurking when he noticed something on the job boards that happened to be happening in the best part of town. He smiled to himself as he quickly moved his way through the shadows after taking up the job of course. When it happened to be stealing for the rich and giving back to the poor he was all for it. Okay maybe he was all for it because he wanted to test his pick locking skills at all that since he had trained himself up a bit.

He scurried like the rats into the slums of the great capitol city. He wondered who it was that all these people would be he did find who he was looking for not too soon after coming up out of the darkness at exactly one am when the group was supposed to meet up for this job. It was the best time of the night. After all it was quiet and most of the nobles were sleeping. He hadn't really seen anyone moving around in the better parts of town but the adventurers going to find the inns as a safe place to log out and all that. No him he had been scooping things out for some fun of his own tonight so when this job came along he couldn't resist it.

He stood before Janne and Aeiou knowing that they were at least waiting on one more person. He said not a word was their really a need to say anything about that. He leaned against whatever wall he could find and waited for the last of them to arrive.

  4. It was a very quiet night, a night that looked like it was going to become quite interesting. Ever since he had arrived in Stokbon, Daren had kept himself in the dark alleys and hidden passages. It wasn't until this night that he had decided to come out and...play. As he had roamed the city at late night he could practically feel the unease from the NPCs as he passed by them. Why would a priest be out this late at night other than to do bad things? Daren was amused at how many had quickly run away or looked down in respect. This was good to the priest, it left him alone to his own devices. Chuckling slightly, the young man now began to walk toward the slums of the city.

He had actually spotted a leader leading up to the top of a building and chuckled. Traveling up the ladder, Daren looked around as he was now on a roof. The building around him was just as small as this one if not smaller and they weren't spaced out that much so it would allow him to jump from building to building. Doing this, the young elf was able to travel to the location where the job symbol was at quickly. Arriving there shortly he decided to just sit on top of the house and wait until others finally began to show.

It didn't take long for all of them to be there and the job giver began to look even more anxious. Shaking his head, Daren chuckled and then hopped down from the roof. Landing neatly on his feet, he began to walk toward the beggar. With a smile he stopped a distance away, finally, his guild symbol and name was brandished as he turned to the other three. "So, what are we waiting for again?"

  5. Janne nodded back to the small Faerin as he approached him. Didn't blab about the job to him either. Guy looked green, but useful. As he waited further another Faerin approached and took his place. Taller, leaner and confident. A somewhat small Aura of experience surrounded him. He would prove useful. And last but not least the last Faerin Dropped down from the roof in front of the group. Janne stood up before motioning to the smallest Faerin to snuff his lamp light. Dont need no extra light. Janne said in a hushed tone as addressed the agile one. No one now. He said in response before eyeing his guild tag. Ah a black star, was expecting one of ya to be honest, but dont stab or slice anyone unless you gotta, and if the ladder would to transpire its on you to get rid of the body.

And with that Janne took the lead and begun the briefing.
First things first we dont need to share names. Janne then turned around while walking backwards before pointing to the lad who jumped from the roof. You are gonna be black star. He then pointed to the smallest Faerin before speaking again. You can be Smalls. He then Pointed to the long haired Faerin. You...Look Squirrely so you are gonna be Squirrel. I think its best if we didnt yell our real names out to eachother if shit hits the fan. With the walking done the party was now nearing the town square.

Alright boys here is the plan. The House is just down the street with its own alley and store house connected to said alley that leads into the house. I need 2 of you to watch opposite ends of this alley. While who ever messaged me about having some skill in rouge comes with me. Wansnt that you Squirrel? He asked as he continued his statement. Whenever we get the store house open it should be easy pickings. Black star feel free to knock the merchant unconscious in his bed when we get to his room. Hate for him to wake up and start yelling, walls are thin enough as it is. Smalls when we get into the store house take up a position near the now opened store house door. If anyone comes just enter the house and close the door. After we find what we need you are free to steal and plunder as you please, so long as you do so
quietly. Any questions? Oh and just call me Green.

Janne would wait and answer any questions that needed to be answered before taking his position in the alleyway and getting to work on the lock.

  6. Being the small support character was something Aeiou had gotten used to. He enjoyed being the cute topper to a quest, and wasn’t used to facing competition with other Faerin for a chance to prove himself. So when two more Faerin swooped in to meet with their group leader, Aeiou couldn’t help but puff out his cheeks and let a breath of seep out from between pursed lips. He looked over the other two members and gave them a curt nod. No turning back now. Especially considering that … Green … quickly got down to business. Aeiou, or Smalls, as he would be designated, scuffled behind Green as he lead them to the spot. The hairs on the back of Aeiou’s neck prickled as they continued deeper into the slums. Soon enough, they had made it into the belly of the beast, a small gathering area spread out in front of them. Not nearly as hidden as he would have liked to be, but that was where his value came in, apparently. As a lookout.

As he was given his instructions, Aeiou gave a curt nod and waited for a moment before heading to his end of the alleyway, taking his halberd out in front of him to help him look the part. He would have his eyes stay fixated on Green, only letting his eyes off of the leader to double check and make sure that a flickering shadow was no more than a light trick.
