  1. Damage

As everybody rushes to their respective zones, the shroomfolk cease their barrage of spears in order to switch to close quarters engagement.

In Zone 3, @Solaria and @Avalon must subtract 15 HP from the counter attacks of the purple shroomfolk.

In Zone 5, @Emmeline Valenick and @Legatos Vox each must subtract 15 HP from the counter attacks of the pink shroomfolk.

The Mycolossus rears back its enormous sword and prepares to bring it sweeping down across the battlefield, its target unknown. @Kasumi Kurogami bravely charges forwards however and is emboldened by the ghost of The Wall as she not only delivers a blow to great monster, but goads it into focusing its attention on her. Letting out a deafening groan of anger, the Mycolossus centers all of its attention on @Kasumi Kurogami, the massive stone sword delivering a crushing blow to her! (subtract 30 HP)

The force of the attack is so strong that rocks kick up about her, but with nobody else in Zone 4, they clatter back to the ground without harming anybody!

Damage Reduction: Apply only during damage phase. -1 damage per piece, per tier, for medium armor (to represent dodging some attacks) and heavy (to represent damage soak), up to a maximum of -10 damage.

E.g. Poor Gloves (-1), Poor Chest (-1), Common Legs (-2) for a total of -4 from the damage you would otherwise be taking. These items must be Medium or Heavy; light provides no reduction bonus, as it is purely energy regen.

    Cooldowns have refreshed

You must pick a role for this special encounter, put it in at the bottom of the post. This role will stay with you through the entire event.

Do NOT roll until you pick an action, not all action let you roll.

    Role: Tank
Shield, Guard, Phantasmia, Geomancy, or Hydromancy qualify. You only roll if you attack as an action.

Pick one of these actions to use, you can flavor it however you want. You cannot roll the die unless you pick an action that let you (i.e. attack). All tank actions scale off of the tank mastery.

Attack: (cost 5 EN) Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers, also add 20, then divide the result by 2.

Taunt: (cost 10 EN) Attract the attention of the target to prevent it from targeting other roles and zones. Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers, then divide the result by 2.

Hold the Line: (cost 20 EN) Requires 3 tanks (including you) to use this powerful ability to cut damage next cycle by half for everyone in your zone. You may not roll.

Rest: (No cost) you rest, recovering 20 EN. You may not roll.

Second Wind: (no cost - passive) If a tank receives lethal damage, they resist the killing blow and come out with 20 HP and 40 EN without Death Affliction. This can only happen once per event. This does not count as a Revive.

    Role: DPS
All weapon mastery and magic mastery qualify. You only roll if you attack as an action.

Pick one of these actions to use, you can flavor it however you want. You cannot roll the die unless you pick an action that let you (i.e. attack).

Attack: (cost 10 EN) You attack as normal. Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers.

Reckless Attack: (cost 10 HP and 10 EN) You attack with abandon, doing more damage but expose yourself to more danger. Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers THEN, add an extra +30 to the result.

Berserk: Only for characters with Berserk. You must subtract 10 EN when you enter Berserk the first time, on top of the energy cost of your chosen attack. Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers, then ADD whatever amount your mastery says below certain HP threshold.

Remember that there are threshold limits to this skill, so if your HP is too high, you cannot benefit immediately.

Rest: (No cost) you rest, recovering 20 EN. You may not roll.

    Role: Support
Naturamancy, Illumancy, or Muse qualify. You only roll if you attack as an action.

Pick one of these actions to use, you can flavor it however you want. You cannot roll the die unless you pick an action that let you (i.e. attack). All support spells scale off of support magic. You can only support people who are in or adjacent to your zone.

Attack: (cost 5 EN) Roll d100 and add appropriate modifiers then divide the result by 2.

Single Healing: base 5 + 3 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +7 for Expert and Mastered) = final heal amount. You may not roll.
    • Cost: 2 EN per tier (including beginner).
    • Note: You can heal with any tier below your current level to converse energy.
    • E.g. Adept Heal: 17 HP / costs 10 MP.
    • Note: Tag the person you are healing and write the amount.

Group Healing (max 3 targets): base 5 + 3 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +5 for Expert and Mastered) = final heal amount divided by 3 (Round up). You may not roll.
    • Cost: 3 EN per tier (including beginner).
    • Note: You can heal with any tier below your current level to converse energy.
    • E.g. Adept Heal: 17/3 = 6 HP for 3 people / costs 15 MP.
    • Note: Tag the people you are healing and write the amount.
Single Damage Buff: base 5 + 3 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +6 for Expert and Mastered) = final buff amount. You may not roll.
    • Buff lasts 3 rounds for 1 target.
    • Cost: 2 EN per tier (including beginner).
    • Note: Tag the person you are buffing and write the amount.
AoE Damage Buff: base 5 + 1 per mastery tier (excluding beginner, but +2 for Expert and Mastered) = final amount divided by 2 (Round up). You may not roll.
    • Buff lasts 3 rounds for 3 targets.
    • Cost: 2 EN per tier (including beginner).
    • Note: Tag the people you are buffing and write the amount.
Revive: (costs 20 EN) Revive someone and put them at 20 HP and 40 EN, with no Death Affliction. One use per Support per event. No character may be revived twice. You may not roll.

Rest: (No cost) you rest, recovering 15 EN. You may not roll.

Passive Regeneration: (no cost - passive) +0.5 EN for every light armor piece and magical tool per tier (round up). This happens automatically at the end of every action the user does.

The status bar in your post should reflect that this energy has been gained after energy costs for casting.

    Modifiers
For this cycle, everyone gets a +5 modifier to their roll per mastery tier (except beginner). +10 for Expert rank.

In addition: If you had Beast Taming (IF you have tamed a beast) or Dual Wielding (IF you are wielding an extra weapon), you ALSO get +2 modifier per mastery tier (except beginner) +5 for expert.

  4. Rory saw the giant, and his two mushroom buddies. He gritted his teeth, and then charged at the giant, yelling a battle cry as he banged his shield, trying to get his attention.

Hopefully this will attract blows to him, instead of the other players who were in battle. He looked around for a moment before stareing at the boss and yelling at it, calling it names. Just about anything to make it look down at him. People were yelling orders, others were running, slicing, fighting. What ever the case, it was madness, and Rory always enjoyed the thrill of a fight, and it was about the same as it was in real life as he saw the giant turn towards him.

  7. With the longbow temporarily out of order and unable to be used, Gwyn was quick to whistle out Nathair's orders over the din of the battle. The almost bird-like tune sent the anaconda turning away from the battle, one eye still angled to look back behind it warily, and headed toward her. She raised a hand to smooth across the tame's head and sighed. "Catch your breath, this won't stop us." The huntress set to pulling the string over the notch at the top and fought hard against the stiff wood until it finally bent enough to catch the loop on the other side. "There we go. Let's try that again."

  10. Preferring to save her arrows for when she really needed them, Kaeliel decided to concentrate on healing for the moment. She began by approaching Gwyn, who seemed to be one of the more injured members of the group and was unable to fight while her bow was broken anyway. "Need a little health boost?" she asked, before picking the healing spell from her menu. After chanting a brief incantation, Kaeliel's spell would bring forth bursts of green healing energy around Gwyn's wounds. The beginner-level spell had little effect, but it was better than nothing.

"If I could heal your bow, I would," she added apologetically, before looking about the battlefield for anyone else who might be injured- while also looking for the right time to strike back.

  13. Alpha watched the anaconda with fascination as it followed the lead of a blonde-haired woman. She could see scratches and injuries on the lady's body yet, instead of immediately deciding to heal her, remained transfixed by her skill in taming beasts and her performance alongside her companion. Alpha's eyes sparkled and she stared at the fighting woman with a respectful reverence before she finally squealed. "That's so cool and cute and awesome! Where'd you get a snake?! And you guys are just perfect for each other; aren't animals the best?!" she cooed, absent-mindedly weaving a healing spell through her fingers. She grinned, happy that her naturamancy didn't require her to perform lame chants like others (incantations were a pain in the butt). "No worries, though! Alpha is on your side!"

  16. Within her sight as she was attacked by the purple mushrooms, another fighter had been hit by the same attack. She rushed to heal Avalon, not certain how their health would be so far and not up to looking for answers. She just knew she had to help- they were attacked because she'd rushed in, weren't they?

It was then that she saw Mycolossus attack with a sweeping blow of it's sword (which she naturally wondered why it even had). Rushing to the fourth zone where the flung Kasumi Kurogami had landed, she rushed to help her recover, certain it would be quite painful.

  19. It was time for Kirito to brandish his twin swords and show off. It's been a while since he had seen any action while escorting this group of refugees. He's kept mostly to himself the entire event, since he didn't want to get in people's way, being a newbie and all.

With his blades steadied at his sides, Kirito dashed up to the pink doom shrooms, passing @Emmeline Valenick and @Legatos Vox on the way. After he narrowly stopped himself from crashing into them, he turned back and shouted, "Sorry, I'm going ahead now!"

Afterward, he came in with a power, overhead strike, putting all of his might into the downward sink, slicing through the monsters' head and drawing blood (?) with his strike before he performed a few more cuts. To his surprise, Terrasphere's combat and movement were much smoother than SAO and ALO combined, in fact, he was almost struggling from the realistic weight and momentum, fortunately, he did enough damage to some how bring down the pink group.

The boy was very surprised to find the dead Mycodians below his feet. "Whoops, I killed them..." he said, awkwardly fiddling in the middle of the battlefield.

  22. Things began to really kick off as groups began to focus down the Doom Shrooms on either side of the main boss, who appeared to be having none of their shit. She gulped as it lifted its mighty sword and prepared to attack, knowing that if it came down upon her then she would surely be crushed beneath its onslaught! Luckily she was spared that potential fate when a girl in dark clothing ran up and began to taunt the boss into focusing its rage down upon her. Lemming was grateful that such idealistic fools existed to take the brunt of damage on her behalf, which allowed her to instead focus on being Top Bitch. She glanced across the battlefield at where Gwyn was firing, wondering how she could hope to compete with the talented huntress when, suddenly, the woman's bowstring snapped. Frowning at Gwyn's setback, she looked up at the mycolossus. She wanted to out-do the huntress, yes, but by force of her own power. Not because Gwyn was held back by malfunctions!

Snarling, she did something she was loathe to do, and allowed herself to channel more malefic energy than was safe or stable. Pushing her attacks to dangerous limits, tendrils of the dark energy began to snap at her own body and leave small burns and cuts across her clothes and flesh. She ignored the discomfort and pain and send out a volley of dark bolts which struck the boss, tearing at it.

  26. Roland grinned. He wasn't sure what was going on, after the deadly poison he had taken a concoction he thought was a status reliever. It was, it got rid of the poison effects, but it had replaced them with new ones. He had been passed out for who only knows how long. It seemed the elves had pulled him into a cart nursing him slowly back to health. It wasn't until the large monster appeared that he was awoken. Except, he wasn't in Terra Sphere anymore. He had landed in some retro game, full of disco lights, and laser beams.

    It was awesome.

Wasting no time, he ran forward to the giant mecha trex, with chainsaws for arms, screaming his head off. "TIME TO DIE METHATHOR!" Lifting both giant hammers on either side of him Roland ran forward slashing at the robot's legs hoping to cut the hydrolytic converters.

  29. Asuna felt the heat of battle again. It really had been awhile hadn't it? She brandished her rapier and would not hold back. This was a chance to not just regain a bit of her old self but also to have a good time for once. Asuna 'The Flash' had taken to the field once again. It brought back a lot of memories, not all were good but the good ones were great. The other players were doing a good job against the minions, which meant she could test her mettle against the boss itself. A slight smirk on her face as she leaned forward and charged in her familiar manner with her sword ready to attack.

Her eye caught something just then that brought her even greater joy. It was him after all. Unless it was someone trying to play him... Kirito. He too had gone with a familiar avatar. So he once again is playing these. Was that actually a good thing? It was not something she had time to focus on at the moment. Asuna wanted to talk to him. to see how he was doing. That would all have to wait for after this battle. She did a quick double swipe of her weapon against the Mycolossus' leg. Before jumping back some and bracing for it's inevitable counter attack. Her own knowledge of how to fight in a game like this being burdened by her low level.

"Urk!" He winced as he watched his health drain a bit. He was fine, but still every bit of damage dealt was concerning. After all no one had any clue if the enemy had any other tricks up their sleeves... Best be cautious... "Hrm... resistant til the end are we?"

Muttered the white haired man as he felt irritation crawl down his spine his attention focused on the pink mushroom being. Only for his musings to be cut short by glimpsing a black coat clad player not too far off. He was quite surprised to see a name that he only heard rumors about.

Surely this couldn't be the same person? That was highly unlikely, perhaps it was another copy cat? Many cling to such famed names to garner attention to themselves... Mentally shrugging focused on heading towards the Boss. His blade though small, rang true as it sliced into the giant mushroom beast dealing a piteous amount of damage to the shroomish monster. Yet, it was damage in the end.

  36. As the battle progressed and both forces clashed against each other, chaos ensued on the battlefield engulfing most adventurers – the giant mycolossus finally made its first move thanks to the efforts of a tank player, which resulted in a deafening roar capable of stopping the rogue on her feet for a few moments. The white-haired faerin retreated a few steps to recover , watching as the mycolossus’ hit the ground with a mighty strike wreaking havoc on the middle formation.

“My, oh my… It’s a sha~me this isn’t your typical game, don’t you think…?” The rogue muttered under her breath, glancing over the rest of the battle. “It’s a shame I can’t mute the sound and put some calm elevator music to relax~!” Upon gathering enough information to plan her next move, she readied her cinquedeas before setting off to try and fight back the remaining purple shroomfolk.

When the woman closed in, she was received with a combined attack from two purple doom shrooms. Avalon took note of an opportunity to strike and evaded both horizontal assaults with a quick somersault forward, proceeding with a low kick to one of her opponents’ legs. As the doom shroom fell to the ground from her low kick, the rogue rolled in a clock-wise motion to avoid a stab attack from the second purple shroom’s sword. The white haired faerin got up to her feet as her enemy tried to pull out the sword from the ground and stabbed it in the head with her weapons until it stopped moving.

By the time she was finished, the previous purple shroom was up on its feet once more. This time around Avalon grabbed the near-dead shroom she defeated a moment before and threw it towards the other, much like in a dancing spin move while at the same time stealing its sword. As Avalon’s enemy struggled to deal with a fallen comrade in arms and the situation at hand, Avalon pierced both with the shroom sword, finishing them in one stab.

“Now, now~! What a cute couple!” For a moment, the rogue could feel a warm sensation run through her body. She finally caught note of her HP raising a bit from fighting in the frontlines and noticed her healer (@Solaria) not so far away from herself. She smiled and waved at her healer, a scene that did not match her previous actions. Avalon returned to the fight shortly after.

  39. Adventurer after adventurer bolted past Eudora, shouldering her and shoving her out of the way. And yet her knees stayed locked into place. The Mycolossus stood towering in front of them, a behemoth if there ever was one. Its sword hovered in the air, and the world slowed. Her heart was beating in her throat, and Eudora could almost feel the veins that were popping out of the foreheads of every player that passed her by. She looked behind her and saw the Yladians staying back, showing their support by covering their hides.

So this is what it meant to dive headfirst into battle. Her knees bent, her ankles clicked, and Eudora found herself running straight in to the clearing that barely contained the Mycolossus and its brethren. As one fell, the green energy seeped into the giant, Eudora halted again. She instead held her breath, let her arrow fly, a small grunt escaping from her lips. She wasn’t sure if it was in frustration from the shoddy aim or from the seeming futile attempt at felling this monstrosity.

  42. Sometimes, the real life got in the way of the gaming life. Such was the situation for the Felis running through the forest, or rather the person behind the avatar. A slide in real life has caused her to arrive hours later than she intended to, and she found an empty place, with abandoned items. It clearly meant that there were not enough people.

Still, that only meant that the tracks were quite easy to find. So obviously she followed them. As she followed the trail she found proof of some fight; she had to avoid some sporophic looking thing that made the fur on her tail stand. Then there were some odd coprses; of mushrooms they were blue green and red. Then the trail divided. Ilusa grumbled a little and then picked the random trail.

Which was what led her to finding herself at the end of the group that was fighting a giant mushroom monster. A small mewl of distress escaped her. That was not what she signed up for! It was supposed to be helping people move not fight!

But the next moment her ears perked in excitement. After all, fight meant hurt people. Hurt people meant people she could heal. People she could heal meant damage negated.

Nodding to herself with her spirits restored, Ilusa looked around, concentrating on the floating bars to see the ones in most need of healing. She saw people attacking the boss and the single purple mushroom that reminded her of the felled trio (and were there some pink mushrooms dead? Yes, yes there were).

There she found one. A female, whose health was the lowest. But-

Before she decided to do it, she noticed that there was another female who was forcing the monster to keep its focus on her. Thus there was a dilemma. To heal the one who is a ‘tank’ or one who is more hurt? The tactical decision and with it being but a game, with no worry for true death there was no hurry.

In the end, she made a decision; a Tank was more important. Locking on her target (named Kasumi) she concentrated, while it seemed someone else had also healed her, it was just a little bit. Thus she took a deep breath and from memory started the chant. Light poured from her hands and shot off to the small, black haired female human.
