"That's how I feel about Chipotle. That menu is a riddle of some kind, I swear..." Eleanor muttered under her breath, as if cursing the very establishment. "Food isn't bad though." As the waitress stepped by them again, she raised a hand to get their attention. "Ehm, could I have some extra water, please? Thank you." Taking a sip from the glass of water that soon made it's way to their table, Eleanor sighed. She certainly loved cities. From the large buildings, to the dark allies. To the nightlife, to the bustling festivals. Not that she loved interacting with each of these facets, but that she enjoyed pursuing and observing each of them. If only, she quietly fantasized, there were just a little less people... Less cantankerous people. Regardless, it gave her a place to absorb information, and she was rather good at blending in. "It is interesting. I wonder who first invented such an idea." She tapped her fingers on the table, glancing around. "I'll do some research after I hop off today."
"Can I ask you to message me your findings later? I'd really love to see what you find out." This felt like the start of a beautiful friendship- even if it was mostly caused by convenience and Solaria's selfish desire to not be alone. She wasn't a fan of being by herself, and it wasn't like she knew enough people to ask to hang out yet. But in the end, this wasn't just fun- it was educational. What a great addition! Another bite of food, another sip of water- she took it slow and steady, finally taking some time from talking to enjoy her meal. "I've never actually been to a Chipolte- my friend goes to it on her own and gets some for me while I'm studying sometimes, though. I've heard that it's pretty bad for the health, but it really is delicious. I'm sure lucky to have someone who knows what I like!" "I usually eat at home though. I've been learning to cook since I was a kid, and it's kind of fun. And if I don't cook it, there's no way that girl is gonna eat a healthy meal!" Groaning softly, she let out a laugh again- a bit softer, a bit easier on the ears. "But eating out is nice sometimes. I should try it outside games. I don't really know where the good places to eat are in Amherst, though..."
"I suppose I can keep you informed on what I find." Taking the last bite of her bread, Eleanor stood from her seat. She'd spoken less as a friend doing a favor, and more as a colleague doing research for an associate. "I much prefer ramen, honestly, when it comes to convenience and efficiency and most things, in general." "If you'll excuse me. I've got some work to get to." Turning her palm towards the ceiling, Eleanor quickly transitioned through the menus to add Solaria as a friend. "Thank you for the food and the conversation. It was nice meeting you." Taking a step back, the dark blue haired girl took a deep bow. A mannerism probably very foreign to most within the game. As she turned to walk from the table, her hands slipped back into her pockets, and she glanced around. Back she went, to chasing a needle in a haystack lead. Perhaps it would lead to something.... Perhaps it wouldn't. Either way, she enjoyed the hunt.
"Ramen's really good that way- cheap and convenient. But it's not the healthiest thing there is, at least not if you eat it constantly. And trust me, if I don't cook or make her go somewhere that has healthy food, ramen would be her choice of meal three meals a day." She laughed a bit, adding, "And if you don't eat enough healthy food, I'll have to make you too!" It was a playful 'thread', of course. It wasn't like she could force feed vegetables to someone she wasn't right next to physically- and it was very possible that Eleanor didn't live in Massachusetts, or even close. Thankfully, the woman was willing to deal with her enough to add her on her friend's list, which she quickly added. "I look forward to hearing from you. I hope the rest of your day is as nice as this has been for me!" With a soft wave, she watched Eleanor leave, pursuing the check as the door closed. It was a nice change, but perhaps it was a sign she should get to work soon- even if that was just studying for her next test.
