  1. Aaron frowned at everything that had unfurled. This worried him. Everything about this. He was glad that the puzzle worked correctly, but the strange eyeball, the fact that they now seemed able to leave so easily, the fact that they had not defeated all the witches (to his knowledge), nor helped The Risen, nor freed the Spirit Wolf, nor learned what had been imprisoned. All that had been accomplished on this mission, it seemed, was learning how powerful their foes were. Which was an important accomplishment, to be sure. But Aaron worried it wasn't enough. Especially since an item as vile as the Necronomicon had been discovered, and was in the hands of a player. Would it's evil be contained?

He shook his head. He didn't know. But he knew that he had done all he could in this. He watched his energy slowly decreasing, watched ABC struggling and failing to accept her loss. So much pain and sorrow had come from this adventure. Wasn't it supposed to be a game? Perhaps he would take a break, after all of this. He would return, of course, but a little while of a break to clear his head. The nagging worry again creeped up that perhaps this was more than a game. He approached the portal slowly.

"Until we meet again, Druid. I wish you well on your path," he said to Ornson, before stepping through the portal himself.

  2. Lucia couldn't help feeling a measure of bitterness at the sight of things. Though she was glad there was no mega-boss at the end, at the same time the conclusion wasn't very satisfying. They couldn't help change the mountain back, couldn't rescue the risen, couldn't protect the spirit wolf completely. She could only lament her own weakness while looking down at the Necronomicon in her hand. A sharp gaze on the book as she recalled what had happened to her when she took it. Inhaling sharply, she decided she needed to change; she would change and become something that wouldn't be restrained or taken lightly, but to do that, was difficult alone. She'd have to look harder to find the truths of the gift she was given and take hold of the chance she was offered.

"Ornsen, do take care of yourself. If there is a time you need me in the future, I'll come to assist you. I'm afraid I won't be terribly hard for you to find." Lucia admitted with a dry smile, the Druid would no doubt be able to find her easily in her forest home since the area around her would no doubt be filled with dark terrible things. Even so though, she was committed to supporting 'the divine' rather then any villainous evil from another world. It was that promise that made her glance around the others, a sigh creeping from her lips, they had lost a lot, the damage was great in a lot of ways, but she felt between herself and Alpha the loss was particularly harsh. "Well... Next time." She murmured thinking that she'd be able to change, she tried to offer Alphabet some more sympathetic words before making her way off to separate from he group, intending to begin gathering the required materials to evolve into whatever monster the game's goddess plotted out for her.

    Epilogue

After walking through the portal Ornson had made, you found yourself violently pulled through the fabric of space and time, which eventually ejected you in different locations unbeknown to you… When you checked your UI, it seemed the teleportation had booted you from the group as well. With nearly nothing to show for your hard work, you return to your dwelling, completely overwhelmed by what felt like years since you last saw the bright sun.

A week after your investigation in the Bloodthrone Mountains, when the rush of that deadly adventure was slowly cooling down within you, an Ynglar agent made on contact with you through a letter that was discretely delivered to your bedside. Upon uncovering the content, it became clear that Ornson was the one who wrote the message. It read:

    Letter

    Greetings Friends,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and that you were able to safely teleport out of the Mountains. The magical abnormally in that place was overwhelming to the point where I couldn’t guarantee a safe and comfortable teleportation. Regardless, if you are reading this message, then it must mean that an Ynglar agent has been able to locate you.

Since our departure, I have been busy conversing with the Brotherhood and trading information about the Blood Coven. It seems that our expedition has proven to be very crucial information to them. For a powerful magic organization like them to consider the Blood Coven as extremely dangerous, I think we will need their assistance in the foreseeable future when we further explore the mountain and stopping the Coven’s vile plans.

Since we are the only ones who have had a lot of experience with the occult blood magic, it would be monumental if we are able to work together again in the future.

Also, the Ynglar Brotherhood has finished analyzing the blood crystals that we were able to retrieve from the statues. It seemed to be a conduit for blood magic. The Brotherhood would like to keep the majority of the crystals for research, but they will gladly give you items fashioned with fragments of them within, which may produce interesting effects under certain condition. I’m not exactly clear on how these items work, so please come to the Brotherhood’s branch in southern Norforva.

I have encoded a magic tracker to guide you there.

    [Assym norforva nald tryssten.]

    Ornson

If you were to activate the magic tracking spell in the letter, you will receive a ping in your palm menu under the navigation button. With a single tap, you will receive a trackable coordinate to help you find your way to where Ornson has been residing.

At the location Ornson had led you to, you come upon a massive fortress that was perfectly square in shape, extending far up into the sky. There was but a single door, and no window as far as you can see. When you knock on the door, a small window opened up before a pair of faded blue eyes met you.

“Tracker?” he questioned you with an old gruff voice.

When you produced the letter from your inventory, the peeper closed as the door cracked opened slightly, revealing a very old and lanky man in a blue robe. With his wrinkly, thin hand, he ushered you into a narrowed hallway, which eventually took you to the corner of the building, where you began your ascend up the stairs. It would seem that you stopped on the third floor, where he whispered a spell that produced an entrance you have not seen before. It would appear that the Brotherhood was serious about sectioning off access, even to those affiliated with a trusted insider.

The room you arrived in was a massive library and magical atelier full of artifacts, books, and wondrous models of things you can’t possibly comprehend. Investigation mode would only show everything as [???] to you, not helpful at all. Aside you were the companions you had traveled with, all standing in front of an ornate counter. It seemed that they were talking to a bespectacled Faerin woman behind it.

“Ah, welcome, glad you were able to make it. I hope your journey has been kind to you!” the woman chimed, addressing you.

“So we didn’t exactly have enough materials to produce a lot, but please feel free to request some of the special items Ornson had mentioned here, we’ll have them ready in a few hours! Consider them a gift from the Brotherhood and a thank you for your service! And with this, I hope our partnership will be a good one. There is a lot we have to do in a few weeks’ time. For now, please come, I’ll show you some of the items in our catalog.”

  5. Lucia was gravely conflicted upon arriving, she was quick to try and pick up where things had left off but when she arrived she was met with a struggle from the start. To some extent, she had drain magic, so she didn't feel a strong attraction the the Blood Pact. At the same time though there would be times when there was nothing for her to drain. With a groaning sigh she made up her mind with a deep breath. "I suppose... it's too much for me to refuse. The Blood Pact will be the best choice for me after all I suppose." She couldn't help sighing heavily. Her soft breath coming out as she shook her head back and forth with concern for her decision.

It might be a bad idea, the blood pact wasn't an item she'd be able to use for a long time after all, but even so she still felt it would be important to have something as a back up plan. "Please..." She added trying to maintain as much grace and humility as she could.

  6. There was a bit of mixed feelings with Amalia when it came to Ornson. On one hand, she was grateful that the NPC she'd saved had survived an affair that seemed almost impossible to. On the other hand, he did borderline molest her at that point in the healing pool. That was awkward for her, though she could understand the druid's interest was purely academic.

Manicured nails tapped the portrait of the 'Blood Pact' twice and she looked up at the woman speaking to her, a small smile on her pink lips.

"I'll take the ring I suppose."
she told the woman curtly. Sure she couldn't use it yet, but it wasn't as if she even wanted to. She saw it's value as a precious gem and it's magical applications worth more than the rest. It was possible she could pawn it in the future for something of equal value, perhaps something that was more aesthetically pleasing to her. "As much as I like the dress it wouldn't be flattering on me and I don't think the color goes with what I was going for." it seemed like something she would wear to a ballroom if she were dancing latin, no, she was partial to white.

Once the trade was conducted she would produce a small letter herself, this one she presented to the woman she was dealing with. "A letter for Ornson, you can inspect it if you must. But it's simply well wishes and inn I frequent if he's in meeting. I've grown fond of the druid."

  7. Aaron mused over his options for a while. He was certainly lacking in his defensive capabilities, but he was even more lacking on the offensive side of things. He cleared his throat after a moment. "If it's not too much to ask, could I request a Crimson pact longsword (3 points) and a crimson kite shield (1 point)? I have the money to afford armor of my own, but I've found no smith who will forge for me a sword or shield for a decent price. If I am to be useful when we all gather again to strike at this enemy once more, this equipment will be necessary."

He thought to himself for a few moments. He wouldn't use his new sword and shield for a while. Honestly, at this point, he wasn't sure if he would be able to. He would save them for a while, and only switch to them when it seemed like he was falling behind those whom he was traveling with.

"And if you ever need assistance of any kind, please, let me know. If Ornson is characteristic of those who work alongside of you, then it would be my honor to do the same."

    Reward added.

  8. Alpha smiled down at the fragment she held in her hands. Terry reincarnated. It seemed that, even in the midst of bad occurrences and deadly experiences, all things could end well. It didn't mean that she could push away Terry's death (it was something she suspected would haunt her for a very long time) but it gave her hope. And, with that hope that she had fostered from the fragment she held in her hands in a protectively cusp, she gave a bright and joyous grin at the people who awaited her. "Haha, I think that Blood Pact thingy sounds cool! It's all nice and yellow; did you know that yellow is one of my favorite colors?! My favorites are yellow, green, purple, brown, white, indigo, pink..." she continued on to list every color available on the spectrum.

Finally, after her excited ramblings, she turned to Ornson, all dislike of him having faded away with the bittersweet ending of the Raid and the week that had passed in between then and now. "If you need anything, just ask me! Got it?" and that was as close as a one-sided reconciliation that Alpha was willing to oblige.

    Reward Added.
