Blinking futilely into the surrounding darkness, she stumbled over a crate of some sort of fabric, the long cloth tangling around her feet as she fell. Grabbing onto the nearest support — a rack, the worn wood creaking under her weight — Amane bit back a squawk of surprise, glancing anxiously back at the expert that grew ever closer, trying her best to quicken her pace as she blindly scrambled over the discarded textiles on the floor. She hoped dearly that the dimness that hindered her passage at the same time hid her from view — at the speed she was going, it wouldn't take the expert long to catch up to the party.
Out of nowhere a hand grasped her own, and in shock she nearly yanked her arm back, but the grip was soft, though strong, and hauled her over several overturned barrels with no problem. Relaxing, Amane hurried after the figure leading her, using them as a support as she navigated the pitch blackness before her.
"Thank you," she said to the elf, (for who else could it be? That hand certainly didn't feel like Alonso's), subconsciously throwing her a faint smile, unseen as it probably went in this darkness beyond. Drawing beside the Yladian, the mage thought she saw a deep purple face framed with silver hair, but most disconcertingly of all a set of pupiless, garnet eyes, before the elf was once again obscured by shadow.
What was that? Surely Yladians don't all look like that, or else the Falderen people would surely have spread more rumors, of demons, dark influence and the like. Perhaps it has something to do the unique malefic energy that she possesses?
"I understand, I think," she managed to get out after their ally was done imparting new advice, before Amane had to duck behind some of the scattered furniture around, taking cover from the flying debris.
"And I'll cover you!" she shouted back towards Alonso, her lips moving as she subsequently began enunciating a spell under her breath. Wisps of light settled over her fingers, its luminosity blinding in the blackness, and she once again caught sight of the elf's red eyes as the glow casted the Yladian's features into detail. But there were much more immediate and pressing issues to consider, and so she pushed the elf's unusual appearance aside to consider later. The beams of light shot towards Alonso once the spell had fully manifested, enveloping him in a translucent, golden shield.
OOC:Ducking for cover, casting a shield over Alonso if the previous does not already count as one action. If it's not permitted she'll rest to recover EN instead~
