_____Alice puffed her cheeks up with protest as she tailed loosely behind her best friend. Every time she ran into him again he would lead her somewhere to deal with people and this was no different. It seemed, tension had grown between players and NPCs and some wanted to lessen the friction or wave others to the players side since they had less time to accumulate wealth and power. So where did this leave the shut in Faerin, well someone wanted a garden and was willing to discuss politics, finance, and alliances if the garden was to their liking. ”Now remember Alice, you don’t have to worry too much about anything but growing the garden and getting some experience under your belt. I’ll be talking with some other nobles in the area and hopefully some comes to help you like I requested.” _____Alice flared with temper as she waved her hands wildly at the air waving her sings to the back of her friend who could guess she was protesting about being left alone. Alice was not someone who did well without her friend to hide behind. Her blonde hair waving as she rushed and tightly gripped her friends hand trying to slow him down. His gaze turning as she waved that maybe she could go with him and do the garden job last when he was done only to get a slow no from him as he waved her off. _____Alice was not happy as she let him go, her hands resting as if holding an air version of his hand as he walked away for a few moments before turning to the manor. Sky blue eyes glowed faintly with tears, her right hand covered with bandages while a scar crossed her nose into the covering as she pressed forward. He trusted her to get this noble on their side, she had to muster her courage to get this done or he might get mad at her for not trying hard enough. Her white dress waving slowly in the wind while her small pet bubble fish formed at her side and swam around the girl happily. Mission get some noble to help the players or not fight was almost underway, hopefully it went smoothly... @Harveste Thrown die: 100
How had she gotten talked into helping with the garden? She didn't even know the stranger that had asked it of her, but he'd had enough charm to get her interest. Then again, this was a quest that Harveste was sure she'd do well in. She wasn't much of a fighter, but a garden was the best 'battlefield' for a naturamancy user. Finding herself near a bright eyed blonde that somehow managed to be just a bit shorter than her, a small smile caught her lips. "Are you Alice, perhaps? Someone asked me to come help you with the plants." Her words were gentle, albeit a bit bubbly- much like the fish that was swirling around the girl in circles, which somehow lead her to giggle. "I'm Harveste, a Naturamancer like you. Your friend there is quite cute...Do they have a name?" Stretching her arms above her head, she gave the sun a small smile as well. It was a good day to work with the plants, as well as a good day to meet new people. Perhaps, after this job was over, she'd have someone she could relate to a bit better on her friends list. It wouldn't hurt to hope, would it? "Let's get along well, both with each other and the plants. Okay?" Thrown die: 65 ((Total so far: 265/320))
_____Alice’s heart skipped a beat at the sudden new voice. Her hands quickly moving to her sides as she jumped in surprise and spun around. She looked like a terrified wild animal, her eyes locking on the girl watching for any reason to bolt like hell was at her heels. But they also held hope that maybe she could get along with the person as her head did not fully have to rise to the sky to see their eyes or face. It took Alice a moment to calm down to nod at the remark to her name, and when asked about her pet she turned to look at the fish who blew bubbles allowing Alice to point at them hoping her intent was clear. _____If the girl seemed confused or guessed something differently aloud Alice would take her dagger from her waist and carefully wrote down ‘Bubbles’ in the dirt before pointing at her pet who swam around happily between the two. He was far more social then Alice and it slightly helped her open up at times. Shifting her weight to bow and nod to Harveste before she moved forward with Bubbles quickly turning to follow her. When she reached a small patch of grass Alice skipped slightly exposing the dark soles of her bare feet before she looked at the manor. _____The yard already had a great deal of work done, the grass glowed bright green and the trees that dotted the area never seemed healthier. A small river cut across the property's front yard forming a small bridge along the path to the front door. The building was covered with tan stones along with ivory tracing some creaks and running along the small building. To the right side of the house was a flat area of land fenced in with rich soil. Alice’s face glowing happily at the blank canvas for the garden, she simply hoped she was mostly allowed to freely pick the plants as she rushed to the area. _____As she passed the fencing Alice would fumble backwards as the house owner moved into her line of sight scaring her out of her wits. Hands fumbled as she lost her footing even more and began to fall to the ground without much chance of catching herself from the embarrassment of landing flat on her butt. Alice looked about ready to cry as she sat on the ground unless caught, but she held together and stood up wiping the tears from her eyes before they started falling. Then she realized the largest challenge was before her, informing the house owner they had been there to help with the garden when she could not speak and sign language was swing or miss. @Harveste Thrown die: 38 ((Total so far: 303/320))
Harveste was quiet when she held a hand to help up the nearly crying girl, merely smiling to her as she kept herself ready to help her up. Seeing the tears, she gave a cheerful reaction. "A smile would suit you better. It's okay, the ground can be mean to everyone...But it's also a kind heart in its own way. It's possible it just wanted to be closer to you, right?" She knew it was a foolish method of trying to cheer someone up. She knew her words were childish and outright strange. But by personifying things, she always felt a little bit better. Hopefully, Alice would feel the same. It was then she noticed the owner of the mansion. Being a more vocal person despite her own timid appearance, she waved to the stranger she didn't know. "We're here to help with the garden. Can you point us to where you want us working?" She got a rather silent reply, pouting a bit as she turned to give her full attention. The master had only pointed, but it was enough to give them a hint. "Let's go, shall we Alice? I'm sure if they see your smile, the flowers will bloom beautifully. Let's make them smile, too. Bubbles would like to see it too I bet, right? So please smile, for all of us!" Thrown die: 88 ((Total: 391/320))
_____If Alice could laugh she figured this would have been about the time one would do such. But since her voice was lost she simply smiled a closed mouth sign of joy. Moving over to the area she turned to her pet and nodded slowly before the bubble fish moved forward and allowed drops from his bubble to cover the field like a light drizzle of rain. Alice moved herself forward and took out her dagger before placing it in the soil and drawing very small symbols for magic. She was still very bad at using magic without a foundation and in this case both the soil and symbols would serve that purpose. _____Moving back slightly from her small work space before she clasped her hands softly and moved them upward and apart, motioning a growing tree. Her mute spell casting did not end there as she moved her right leg up slightly and hopped to her left three times before reversing the process of her hops using her right leg this time. While it was clearly silly to watch this was her best way of using magic without chanting like many said was faster and better. Slowly though as she repeated the entire dance two more times the area began to grow. _____Where she drew small circles with stars, rose bushes of flowers, a slightly colorful arrangement of roses, but despite the differences the both blended together and with the house nearby. Her hexagons with a circle in the center grew trees that provided both shade and faint scents to accompany the roses. Between it all rose blades of grass nearly as green as the front yard had. But this all was not without a decent toll on Alice as she took a knee in some of the remain dirt and glanced at her work. She still had a long way to go, and above all needed a less childish dance for it. A light shade of Crimson crossed her face as she felt eyes on her judging her down as a small kid despite her real age. Thrown die: 77 ((Total: 468/320))
It would be lying to say it in another other way than she was staring- and that would be doubly rude compared to what she was doing. Her eyes watched with a silent bewilderment and curiosity, seeing the girl's dance amusing her senses while making her wish to dance as well. However, even with the skills of a novice rogue, Harveste knew she wouldn't last on her feet long if she did such. No, dancing would just ruin the hard work Alice had just done. Hopefully, just her words would do. "Your magic is amazing. I've never seen it done that way...It was like seeing a flower flutter in a breeze, enjoying the wind and awaiting the rain." Her words held no ill will, but merely a sincerity as she twirled, wanting to join in somehow. "I'm supposed to be light on my feet as a rogue, but I'm clumsy. If I were to dance, I'd just harm the flowers instead. So...I'll stay here, by their side, and wish them well instead." Her hands moved in the air, her eyes locked onto her spellbook, a grimoire that was quite heavy if she only used one hand. As she stared at the book, recalling the dance lifted her heart as she read the words aloud in a tune of some sort, an urge to blend together filling her mind. As the flowers bloomed a bit more further from the house to add to the view, she grinned. "I can't dance, but I can sing. Like this, don't you think we make an excellent pair?" _____Alice was still fairly nervous and shy about her dance but waved the gesture for thank you before she rose back to her feet and tried to even her breath some. The had been making good progress with the garden but it still seemed to lack something very key to the entire thing. Her hands lightly tapped her chin and elbow as she tried to think of what was missing from the garden until it dawned on her and drew her to place a closed fist to her palm as she looked to the center of the garden. _____Her dagger redrawn as she began to draw a much larger circle than her previous tree hexagons had in the center. Between the two layers she wrote a number of symbols and in the circle drew what seemed as random lines crossing and leaving circles here and there. It had got the attention of the owner as Alice just kept working on the project before waving her bubble fish over to fill the cut into dirt with some water. It was clear this was not something she was used to doing as she double and triple checked every line of the circle before baking away. _____The owner, from what Alice could tell held a lot of self pride and wanted to brag of their wealth and living. While this was not exactly something Alice enjoyed seeing or feeding into she wanted to impress her friend and show that she was not weak or some little kid. Call it her pride taking over or her envy to others who knows. Left hand waved slowly across the air, streaks calm and precise, each motion had to be done perfectly to minimize how much strain she took. Right hand rose upward before slowly waving as it came down and the motions switched sides. _____Her face turned pale quickly as she slid her right foot out and backwards moving both hands to the ground and against each other at the palms before pushing up as the earth slightly shook. A small sapling breaching the grass as it quickly began to expand and split forming shapes and designs found in books of Norse pattern. It was easily a one of a kind tree as the wood turned white and the leafs dyed shades of the roses that rested around it. Alice burnt every last bit of her magic to finish the tree, eyes rolling slightly to the back of her skull as she closed them and blacked out free falling backwards.
She nearly screamed as she saw the girl begin to fall, but was able to hold it in thanks to her natural instinct to avoid noise like a plague. With great speed that she wouldn't have realized before she even had, she rushed to catch the knocked out girl, just barely keeping her from landing on the ground in her unconscious state. "Now I know how my folks felt when I was a kid," She mused softly, memories of fainting being a regular occurrence coming to mind. She lifted the girl to the best of her ability after making sure her grimoire was stored away, trying to figure out the best place to help her rest. There was a clear spot that needed some more green, she decided- and so, she used a spell to grow a tree, not wanting the girl to get worse from the heat. Nearly dragging her to the tree's shade, she smiled gently. If she thought of it as only sleeping, she could handle it, mostly. Still, her heart was racing at unhealthy speeds. In a hope to help the girl rest and calm herself, she sat beside the limp body and began to sing again. Though the song was somewhat sad, it was a joyous melody and seemed to help heal her aching heart that wanted nothing more than to shake the girl awake with vigor. It was lucky that she had her own past, she figured. She knew what not to do...And, for the most part, could handle keeping from doing it.
