The time was close to being twelve-thirty when the blonde lad logged into his VR Rig, the time prior to that was him preparing and letting the rig download the file from his Email, after that he spiffed up and placed his VR Rig upon his head, when he logged in he suddenly found himself in a dark room, and in the room he saw a chair, some tools and a large block of white material. He slowly approached it before sitting down, he was unsure of what the hell was going on, but he sighed and looked down to see him in his trousers, which made him try to cover himself, but as quickly as he attempted this did he realize the futility in it. "Like hell anyone is watching me, if so, they're a bunch of perverts." The simple fact was he now had something before him, he reached out to touch the substance before him. "It's... it seems to be comprised of phyllosilicate minerals... it's just clay." He stated as he rubbed his fingers together and gave the substance a whiff, making sure he was correct in his analyze of the white like material, when he was done he looked at the tools before him.

He was unsure of what he was suppose to do here, but as he sat there for five minutes it became clear to him.
"I need to carve my avatar." His words ringing out from his lips and into the null void about his being, without hesitation he quickly began carving, using his tools and fingers to shape the material to his whim, he wasn't the best at this and when he finally was done with the shaping of the character, he looked at a menu that popped up before him. He gave the settings a overview before viewing the races and when he saw the race named Yladian, it caught his attention, so he quickly clicked on it and his clay models ears and body type chance slightly, it was apparent this was a Elven like folk, which made Alistair speak out. "So... this is a fantasy game?" "Hmm... would explain these race names and their... features." His statement was clearly true as he went though each race only to notice a change in his characters form every time, but after viewing each one he decided to stick with the Yaldian as it seemed the most Elf like of the two available.

Once he did that and approved of all the changes, he put in a username, once he placed it in after thinking long and hard about it, but when he contemplated on it he entered it and was suddenly surrounded by a large pool of bright blue light, before he knew it he was hearing the chirping of birds. The gentle breeze of air upon his skin and the sound of tree's rustling in that breeze he felt, when he opened his eyes he looked about, quickly trying to find his ground and position, it was apparent his spawn point was randomized and he was somewhere in some large forest inside this Terrasphere. Without hesitation he quickly made his way up into one of the large trees around him, wanting to asset his situation with more assurance of his safety, climbing up the rough bark and grasping onto the branches was simple but rigorous. He hadn't had a workout like that since his days in bootcamp, but once he was up about twenty-feet he trued to access his user interface, unsure of how the mechanics of this game operated, but after five minutes he found it, upon his right hand.

With him now clicking on the icon that said "Player Information", he quickly saw everything about his avatar and the name with it, Dot, he did like the choice of it seeing how it was his code name back when he was a sniper, for all he left was a dot, a dot in the center of his foes foreheads with a single bullet. As he sat there in the tree, his fingers clicking on each tab to explore the content this world held, he quickly found his way to Masteries, he saw he had three Mastery points which he browsed through the basic Masteries list and found Range, Rogue and Naturamancy to be alluring to him. He didn't understand why magic drew his attention, but it did and when he picked them, the others disappeared and he forgot what the others where or what they held but he knew they were once there.
"Strange, it seems the system affect my... memory in a way... makes me forget the knowledge here until I need it?" "Unusual indeed." He retorted before noticing an item being placed into his inventory, he quickly entered it to see a gift box was added, and with him opening it he was given a choice on items to have, he observed them before picking a recurve bow as his weapon, and a cotton tunic, his green hair dancing about as he equipped them and stayed there, resting his mind.

  2. A bright light shined in the forest, catching her attention. There was something off about it, something alien and peculiar. Having been practicing with her rather large book in her tiny hands, she was a bit worried. Had she done something bad to the forest? But her magic was nature based. Could she even hurt the forest if she wanted to?

In a flight of fancy, she followed the bright light, arriving to see no more brilliance of a star- simply a stranger. Had that always been how people arrived? She didn't remember feeling blinded when she logged in for the first time, or anytime someone appeared before her. Then again, she usually didn't see people logging in.

Well, only one way to find out. Taking a deep breath, she called to him with the most audible voice she could. "Um...Did you just arrive? There was a really bright light...Like a sun had descended. It was so bright it hurt my eyes! I was wondering, was it you?"

She'd spoken too quickly, causing most of the air to rush out with her words. Projection had never been her strong suit, but she wanted to be more friendly in this world- and so she often found herself using half her stamina just to be audible. Looking down at her book, she found her purple hair tickling her cheeks.

"It was an unusual light...Like it was calling for me, even though it hurt."

Harken to the sound of a voice filling the air, the sound of what could only be described as a female, rather young in fact made the long pointy ears of the male twitch and flick upon his deep green eyes peaking out from the branches. He quickly drew his bow and notched an arrow upon it, going towards the end of his branch and pointing it towards the location of the previous voice, only to spot the colour of violet, and a large book in the hands of a very small person. He quickly realized it was another person, but this one was much different, he couldn't tell as only a fraction of his head was above the leaves, just enough so his eyes could lock onto the figure. Nary did he pull back the string as he knew he would have to let the arrow fly through the air, but seeing this figure before him made him suddenly stop and place the bow over his arms and allowing it to rest upon his back.

"Ye know, it's rude just te sneak up upon another, especially one who has the high ground." "But, no matter." "Tis fine." "Who might you be little lass?" His clear, thick and rumbustious Scottish accent filling the air, giving him a much more adult appeal than what his avatar held as he stood up, the figure he held was thin, slender. But not without hiding some muscle underneath the tunic he wore, as he squatted back own and grabbed hold of the branch he was perched upon, he hopped down from one branch to another before reaching the ground within minutes of speaking. His short, bob style hair with two series of hair standing upon his colic, the near peach skin gleaming in the light as his aura was distance and cold like, but his tone of voice was gentle and calming. "I won ask again... what yer name be little one?" He asked in the same tone, the accent ever so thick as his green hair danced about and showed off his thin eyebrows, his pointed small nose also apparent, his avatar giving him the appearance of a seventeen year old, while his voice was that of a man in his near thirties or higher.

  4. His words had a unique drawl to them, one she couldn't quite place. As his accent became more recognizable, however, the small fae merely giggled- perhaps he was speaking in native dialect, rather than the more common methods of the states? Or he was in character. Whatever the reason for his word usage, it surely amused the girl.

"I didn't intend to sneak up on you. I saw a bright light and was surprised by it, so I ran here as fast as I could." With an apologetic bow, she peeked up again at him The lithe figure, long ears- he was clearly an elf. With the bow at his back, it was almost like in a fairy tale already. What had his intentions been, she wondered?

But it was him asking the questions, she realized. His voice met her ears for a few moments, before she'd finally snapped out of her daze. "Ah...my name? It's Harveste. And I'm not that small! For a faerin, I'm actually a pretty average height!"

Pouting with her small cheeks puffed out, she turned red to the realization she wasn't helping her case by throwing a somewhat childish tantrum. She'd made the character shorter than her real self just to escape her height complex. Maybe that wasn't the best idea...

Her voice wasn't a dead-fire give away, but it was certainly a bit lower for such a small female. In reality, she was a unique blend of bedroom voice and a slightly medium soprano. In the game, it blended a bit awkwardly, making her have a somewhat higher pitch then normal when she projected herself- but at the same time, it was usually an adult's tone with her words. Usually being the operative word. "It's rude to ask someone their name without giving your own, though."

As the five foot five inch Yladian stood there, listening to the words of the young female, he had no clue of her age nor was he going to ask her, but when she stated she wasn't little and that it was normal of the Faerin to be of that height, he just sighed. "Very well, Harveste, if ye say so." He said as his tone turned much more somber like, becoming distant and cold in a manner, for he clearly saw she could handle herself by her know how of the races, clearly she was more skilled at this game than most others would like to be. But when he heard her declare that he to should reveal his name, his title towards her as it was "rude", he gave a slight chuckle as his Scottish accent flowed out once more like honey tea in summer. "Oi, ye wish to know me name then?" "Ye can call me Dot."

His words rhythmed through the air, the deep toned voice sang a song of maturity about him as he looked about after talking to her, he needed to be vigilant at all costs, either that or he would be at a disadvantage, something he clearly didn't like. "Tell me Harveste, how long have ye been logged into the game?" "Clearly... ye know me own time, just now." Dots voice was clearly genuine, he was just trying to learn his way about and get as much information as possible before he tried to ditch this girl and make his way alone. Being with others, it wasn't something he was fond of, he was more of the lone wolf type of person, always had and always will, he worked better that way. "And before ye make assumptions, I am not a Faerin, I'm Yladian, the other elf in the racial selection." His deep forest green eyes locked back onto the girls bright blue ones, his monk style green hair dancing about as the two strands at his colic sputtered about when his head shifted.

  6. "Um, I was well aware you weren't a faerin. Faerin are basically fairies, aren't they? Elves are quite different in generalized mythology." She spoke as if she knew what she was talking about, but she was aware that their world and this one likely saw that differently. After all, the different species were just factual things here. Calling them myths wasn't really right, either, huh? "Also, your ears are a bit of a giveaway, I believe."

With a soft smile, she kept her eyes on the stranger. His accent was distinct, but not easily placed. She'd have to look into it later. "Dot, huh? That's a nice, simple name. As for my play time, I'm not sure I can say. I don't really have a good sense of time when I'm playing. But in general, I've been here a couple weeks I think, generally."

Yes, she was getting used to the game- and more importantly, to the controls of virtual reality. She'd be lying if she said she felt accustomed at all, though. "It takes a lot of getting used to, but I'm sure you'll do fine. At least so far, you aren't already in the midst of being chased, right?"

"Hmmm... I see." He simple stated, looking at her with a more focused stare while also looking about, he was going to make sure nothing took him off-guard while he was with this girl, he could tell she would handle herself, but being ex military would allow him to flee yet. But when Harveste said something about being chased he looked at her once more, having a slight concern upon his face as he responded rather quickly. "So... ye where being chased?" "Why?" Dot proclaimed to her, wanting to know the reason why just incase they would be over ran by a group of some sorts, he wasn't wanting to be out numbered soo soon after logging into this strange new world.

"Who was chasing ye?" He asked her once more, not wanting to take a chance of an ambushed by anything or anyone, he didn't think she would betray a new player, she didn't seem to be like that. But if anyone would know of deception, it was himself as being a agent of the military he had to be willing to do anything to complete a mission, and as he felt uneasy he drew his bow from his back once more and notched an arrow. "I'm just bein' careful lassie, not need te worry." He said with his usual tone of voice, his stance was not as good as a master or journeyman with a bow, but from what he read and watched on the net, he was close enough to be considered a beginner.

  8. Slightly stammering, she sputtered her words in rapid succession. "N-No, I wasn't being chased this time! I mean I just get chased in general. I-I seem really good at aggravating the animals and monsters, that's all. It's not like there's anyone specific. It's just to say you should always be careful!"

Catching her breath, she was honestly amazed at just how many words came out in one go- and how tiring it was. "Man, I really need to start doing my breathing exercises again...And maybe the vocal training too..." Embarrassed, she could tell just how much energy it took her to speak up.

"Sorry for confusing you with that. The forest can be dangerous, especially when you first start off. Even though it's the spawn zone, it's also kind of...Difficult, sometimes. But, that aside, Dot...You're already really good with a bow, aren't you? I feel like I'm looking at a natural! What's it like? I'd love to ask you a bit about archery as you get used to it, if you don't mind!"

He looked at the young girl and sighed, unlatching the arrow from the string before twirling it in his fingers, staring about her and him as she spoke about the spawn region being dangerous and how she wasn't being chased currently. "Geez, so not even me LZ is safe, seems I should go Oscar Mike den." He retorted out loud, knowing this girl wouldn't understand military lingo, but as he listened to her talk about how he looked like a natural and began inquiring about archery, he just held up the arrow. "Now, now hang on der, first off slow down, yer speaking far too fast for me to understand ye." "And second, I ain't had any trainin' wit a bow in me life, just studied the stances while I wuz in rehabilitin'."

He said as he began twirling the arrow shaft in between his fingers, knowing that is seemed easy to most on how he was doing this, in fact he had much time to train his fingers with a large gold doubloon, an arrow shaft was just a long thinner object to get past. "I will say, I am not bad at a long distance, but not with a bow." He said, just giving her a little insight onto what he was mentioning about rehabilitation, if she didn't understand where he was coming from he wouldn't bother with explaining it any further. "Listen, if the LZ is soo dangerous', we should skedaddle den." Dot phrased his sentence, his emerald eyes glimmering as he began to trot about, kneeling down, running his hand along the grass and felt the breeze, as well as a faint scent of spices on the summer air.

  10. Oscar Mike? What did the game have to do with hot dogs? Wait, no, that was the wrong term for the brand too. And then, he used an acronym she didn't know. Oh, if only she had her notepad, this would be even more useful! "Um, I didn't quite understand some of that. LZ? Oscar Mike? I don't know anyone by that name, and I'm not very good with acronyms..." As she spoke, she was beginning to feel like a failure of a writer. But, on the plus side, she was surely learning a lot! As he'd spoken of her speed, she struggled but managed to slow down.

"Oh? You look so good with the bow, though. I wouldn't have thought you were new to archery. And...apparently in rehabilitation? For what, if I may ask? I know it's personal, though, so...You don't actually have to answer. I just can't help being curious."

With a soft smile, she internally beat up herself for her words. What was the point of playing a game and trying to be something not yourself, then just asking the first thing that popped into your head like you normally would? Especially of a stranger!

"S-Sorry, I know my curiosity can get the better of me. I've been in physical rehabilitation to some degree myself, actually. I can't help wondering when I hear for someone else, like the kinds of exercises they had you do for your own issues. I still do the stretches they taught me regularly, to work on not being so weak I'll break my hip the moment I fall."

So much for not talking too much about the real world...

When Dot heard Harveste talk about what he was stating and how she didn't understand it, he just sighed and turned around as he spoke out in a calm tone. "It's military lingo, I was in the military, United States Rangers to be precise." "I went into rehabilitation after I suffered from damage to my hearing during my time deployed." He said, not putting out anymore information about himself and when he heard her talk about her own rehabilitation and lessons she had to take due to what seemed to be a bad hip. He simply sighed and walked up to her and placed a hand on her head before speaking out once more. "Sorry to hear that, just, being in the military makes me hesitant to talk to people, I was always trained to not trust anyone." "Don't take it the wrong way."

Dot said and turns back around, looking upon the light that he could see about one-hundred meters away from their location, it seemed to be the forest breach which was good, he could still smell fresh herbs and spices fluttering about. It smelt like garlic, butter and various other ingredients used for cooking or for medical remedies, it made him wonder exactly their location and how far they where from civilization. "Tell me Harveste, how far are we from the nearest town?" "And exactly where are we?" He asked as he tilted his head slightly around to use one eye to lock onto her, his pointed ears flicking as he kept twirling the arrow shaft in his other hand, letting his enhanced hearing help him scan the area about them more.

  12. "I see, that explains a lot." Okay, so it only explained a bit- but she could easily understand playing this kind of game when your senses were wonky. "It's nice to be able to have senses we don't have at home. This place is the first place I've ever been able to smell. I'm sorry to hear about your hearing, though. I'd give you some of mine in a heartbeat if I could. I have hyperacusia IRL. I hear waaaay too loud. We're opposites that way."

Gently smiling, she felt a twinge of embarrassment as the man- not too tall, but not too short either- began to pet her head. Her face was soon tinted pink, though she seemed to gracefully ignore it as she watched his fiddling. "This is the forests in Brisshal. Brisshal is where everyone starts, but where in Brisshal is always a mystery. If you want a big city, Stokbon's not too far- not close either, though." She took a moment to collect her thoughts again.

"There are some villages in this area, if you don't mind a bit smaller. I recommend Honeyhome. At least just to start out, since it's not too far at all comparatively. It's much smaller, but lots of players go there."

  13. Dot

    Dot

"Brisshal, Stokbon and Honeyhome, I see." That was all he could really say as he looks over to her and then walks behind her, looking towards the deeper region of the forest as he was curious about how much further they were from the center of it. "Hey, Harveste, how far are we from the center of this forest?" "I'm would rather avoid civilization for now, since I know little of how people of this world will react to my race or yours." He said, trying to be as cautious as possible while notching an arrow to his bows string, pulling it up and scanning the area before him, not wanting to take a chance. He didn't know what was in these forests, wolves, bears, honey badgers, anything could be a danger to not only him but to Harveste as well, and if he was to become stronger in this world, despite how realistic it was, knowing that something about this game was odd.

  14. "The center of the forest isn't too far. There's a nice clearing near the center, with lots of fauna and some less troublesome animals that I like to play in when I'm wanting to just work on my naturamancy. A place full of trees makes it easy to hide in the worst case scenario, but it's also a bit dangerous..."

Holding a hand out, she smiled easily. "There are wolves and bears and such in the forests, but also less easily aggravated animals like squirrels. Just be careful, since I've heard there can be hornets in the trees sometimes, too." The thought of a hornet was terrifying to her, honestly. "I really don't like bees and such much...Even if honey is delicious and helps healing..."

When Dor heard what Harveste said about how far they were from the center of the forest, he would only nod to her words, hearing about the dangers lurking outside of the place, but when he saw her hold out a hand for him, Dot just shook his head and bent down. "Just get on my shoulders, I want to have free hands for my bow encase shit goes down." "I want to be able to retaliate if a tango appears." He said to her, Dot's emerald glimmering eyes darting about as he spotted something in the distance, a small figure about the size of a small dog scampering about, this caused him to quickly pull back on the string of his bow to ready an arrow as he looked in that direction.

"Look, twelve o'clock to ten o'clock." Dot stated as he turned his head slightly to Harveste while his arrow head moved to the direction, his green tunic dancing slightly as his arms and upper torso moved ever so slightly while his hair did the very same thing. A gentle breeze tracing along the locks upon his head while his pointed elven ears twitched and flicked with every snapping twig, tweeting bird or crushing leaf's about their location. "Harveste, make a decision, we need to hurry." Dots words filled the air about them once again as he took in the scent of the forest, the musky, earthen aroma filled with the subtle sweetness of local flora and berries.
