    Auction Eggs

    Stokbon — Auction Mystique
Auction Mystique. One of the most prestigious trading plazas in Stokbon for purveyors of all forms of magic. You obtain an invitation to one of the more renowned events offered there: the Auction Mystique. Whether you obtained it through your reputation, accident, or whatnot, you are now attending a battleground of gold, wealth, and fame. As you take a seat, a numbered sign offered to you to signify your participation in the event, a man walks up to the lit stage which sits right
in front of the crowded amphitheatre. A man in a top hat, a snooty cane, and a coat made of expensive fabrics most people couldn't even name.

He addresses all of you: "Welcome ladies and gentlemen! The Auction Mystique is now open."

There is a refined, quiet cheer and slow claps. Everyone's faces were pointed and blank as if they were all up for show and the world was witnessing their every move. The ringleader, once again, twirled and winked at his audience. "Now, today is a special day in the auction's history. Why, you may ask? Well, a special anonymous contributor who proved sympathetic for our cause had decided to donate a few prized valuables into our collection today...may he rest in peace."

"In honor of his memory, we will be holding a raffle. Come up and get a ticket, or a few if you're so inclined, and hope that mother luck shines on you.

There's a list of items displayed on the curtain. A blatant projection, shared hallucination, or some sort of magical construct. Little icons begin to appear, blurred and then hyper-focused...

  2. Curious to try her luck at the raffle, The Admiral purchased several tickets and went to see if she might win one of the silly little eggs, to add to her awkward collection.

  3. "I-I wonder if I can afford to? The tickets don't look too expensive..." Her inner worries of familial gambling addiction made her awkward as she picked a ticket up to roll for the egg. "I want to make a cute friend if I can...A-And it can't hurt me right? So this should be fun! Yeah, it's just a game!

  6. This was the first time he ever heard about this. In fact, from the look of the eggs, he wondered if he might test his luck on winning them.

  7. A game of luck is it? Don't see the harm in giving it a try I suppose, Ozwin thought as he went for a shot.

  11. No chance of death but a chance to get a new friend, Each egg drew the Faerin's attention but none more then the blue egg with a slight airiness to it. "A little hand please lady Endra.~"

  12. "Well, if not that one, maybe this will be the time," Tyris said, his previous failure just making him more determined to win.

  14. Okay... it doesn't really matter if he wins a game of chance or not... He was just trying for curiosity's sake after all... Just another try or two...

  15. To be honest, Verity doesn't know why he is retrying this, but at least there are second chances. He just hopes it's not going to be an addiction.
