  1. The creature’s nose wiggled adorably at the mention of bread and water as it sniffed carefully for any traces of the aforementioned food. Given a moment or two, it’d shake his head once after catching the vague scent of dried meat. “No no, didn’t you goofballs learn anything on the surface? Rabbits clearly eat carrots! Lots and lots of carrots! And maybe some cabbage...” His armed stretched wide upon saying this, showing a great display for just exactly how many carrots were implied.

    “Unfortunately that odd portal the two of you came through won’t allow me to leave. Something about honoring the task at hand and adhering to a sacred duty. You know how it is.” It seemed as though the rabbit's words were left intentionally vague as he'd mutter bitterly while glaring at the thresh hold behind the two women. A light would pique in his eyes as he’d return his gaze back upon them however. “But you! You’re different! You could go back and fetch me some. You said there was an inn right? Surely they’d have a few to spare. As many as you can bring back! … Please?” To be honest, the display was a little desperate. Perhaps the solitude had gotten to the creature’s brain.

    OOC: Feel free to exit the instance, retrieve carrots and then return! If you choose to do so, the tavern is willing to sell up to a total of 10 carrots at the cost of 10 g each. If not well... find another way past that door!

  2. She paced the room, running a finger along the bookshelf idly as she worked through the situation in the back of her mind. She was curious as to what was on the other side of that door, but she doubted her partner was going to be on board with just killing the miserable rabbit man and having a look for themselves. She had to think of something that would work out in everyone's favor, or just take the odd rabbit creature down herself. She doubted that farmers daughter was much use in a fight anyway, but as she has learned before, there was always more than one way to solve problems in this world.

    "So, Tell us what's on the other side of hat door, and We'll bring you back all the carrots you can eat. Ok maybe not ALL, but I can promise at least a bushel. I hate to be rude and demand things of someone we just met, but we were sent down here to accomplish a goal, and that goal can not be met until we know what all is going on down here."

    She tipped her head to the side and her tail swishes back and forth lazily. the rabbit was a poor negotiator, and had allowed his desperation to not only reveal his weaknesses, but bring them front and center, becoming the focal point of the discussion.

    "You're trapped down here and you have to guard that doorway, sure, but as the sole custodian It seems perfectly reasonable to me to assume you have the authority to let us in and have a look around, as long as you're keeping an eye on us. That sounds perfectly fine, right?"

    The room was a bit crowded with the three of them. Not in the ordinary sense, but if a fight broke out, there wouldn't be much room to swing a pole-arm that farmers daughter wielded, nor would it offer a lot of head room for her to move around either. The ceiling is low, so she'd have to tumble instead of jump to avoid certain attacks. She was more than a little interested in what her partner had to say, but if the possibility of avoiding a fight with an unknown opponent presented itself, all the better.

    She turned to face Rosalie and asked evenly "How about it? He helps us, we help him? And worst case scenario, we'll have some carrots for Rabbit Stew."

    She pointedly emphasized the last two words, making sure the rabbit man understood her meaning with crystal clarity.

  3. "So, Tell us what's on the other side of hat door, and We'll bring you back all the carrots you can eat. Ok maybe not ALL, but I can promise at least a bushel--"

    "DEAL!!!"

    Before the bushy fox woman could proceed any further, the rabbit had already leaped at her offer with little to no hesitance. Clearly he hadn't intended on putting up much of a fight to begin with so long as carrots were involved. "Bring them back and we can talk."

    As if by magic, a strange and mysterious force immediately ejected the pair from the rabbit hole without any further consideration. A small message appeared across the in-game interfaces that both players were using.

    The Suspicious Rabbit Hole: (Quest Objectives Updated!)
    [ ] - Bring the rabbit at least a bushel worth of carrots.

  4. Rosalie looked at Dempsey as she dealt with the rabbit. It looked like she was going for a bit of an aggressive negotiation- but before she could get too far into it it was all over. He'd agreed to tell them what was behind the door in exchange for carrots, and now- again much like Alice- Rosalie found herself back above ground, as if she'd woken from a dream.

    "So, that's that then," she said. "Time to buy some carrots. ...you know, in real life, carrots aren't really that good for rabbits. But then they don't talk in real life either." Rosalie knows both of these things from personal experience. "I guess this really is like a different world with its own rules. Things like cat people and talking rabbits are just things I'm going to have to get used to." Among other things, she thought.

  5. After dealing with the shock of being ejected so abruptly, she stood and checked herself over, dusting off debris and dirt as she found it, and finally adjusted her clothes and armor.

    "Yeah. You said you know some farming stuff right? so you'd know where we can buy some carrots too? I was just kind of bluffing with all of that, but it seems I have been called out. So, now we need to find a ton of carrots. Any idea? We can check the Inn of course, and maybe pilfer some from peoples yard gardens tonight... But an entire bushel is going to take some doing."

    She looked toward Rosalie with a hopeful expression.

    "For what it's worth, I'm perfectly OK with just marching down there and killing that guy if that's what it's going to take. He doesn't seem to be entirely stable, and there's a chance he's just going to attacks us as soon as he gets what he wants anyway. I'll let you decide. With me in charge we wound up right back were we started, and this doesn't seem to be one of those 'go here, kill that, win' kind of quests" she paused for a moment thoughtfully, then asked "Any idea what the quest reward is even?"

    She waited for a response as she picked at a tiny bit of twig stuck in her hair that she noticed form the corner of her eye.

  6. Tag me once you guys decide on the next course of action! Otherwise feel free to keep posting btw.

  7. ((Otay!))

  8. Rosalie checked over her own clothes as well, brushing away some dirt. She was looking forward to getting new clothes at some point. Some of it might end up being more on the masculine side to appease her real self, but on the other hand, she was starting to build up an idea of what she should be like as a resident of this world- and "masculine" wasn't looking like it. She definitely wasn't going to be acting like Dempsey, at least.

    "I picked the mastery, at least," Rosalie explained with regards to her farming skill. "I don't actually know anything about real farming... not past 'the cow says moo' at least," she added with a laugh. "I don't even know how much a bushel is. But yeah, the inn's a good start... could head to the city, they probably have a market," she suggested.

    She frowned a bit at Dempsey's killing suggestion. This wasn't the kind of game where you solved all your problems through violence. If she wanted that she'd go back to GGO. But she raised a good point with regards to the reward. "That's the thing," she said, rubbing her chin- Rosalie definitely had better skin than her player. "We don't know what we're getting out of this- or what the consequences will be if we mess it up," she says. "I think killing the rabbit is too big a risk. If he turns out to be an enemy, we can fight back then."

    @Dempsey Fabijain

  9. she scratched the back of her neck and tried at her best 'isnt that funny' expression as she explained her plan and how it all went wrong;

    "Here's the thing. On top of everything else that went horribly wrong with my plan, I don't know what a bushel is either. I think for right now our best bet is to head out to the farms outside of town and ask around. Someone has to have however many that is for sale, and it'll be cheaper if we buy directly from the source. And I suppose... since I'm the one who goofed, I'll go ahead and cover the cost. Sound fair?"

    she straightened and smiled, pleased with how well she figured she had handled the situation.

    "Except, if it winds up being that much, I'm going to need you to help me carry them. That doesn't sound terribly unreasonable to me all things considered."

    She stood, half turned and ready to take of on her merry way, with her lovely companion in tow, but holding just in case @Rosalie Browne had thoughts or suggestions.

  10. Rosalie was about to head towards the tavern entrance, but she turned back to listen to Dempsey's suggestion. It definitely made more sense than trying to buy in bulk from a store. And it'd be good for her to know where the local farms were- she might be able to get work at one of them.

    "I could go along with that. And thanks, I don't have much money of my own anyway," she said, putting her hands in her pockets and shrugging. "And I wouldn't be much use on a farm if I couldn't carry some carrots," she added. She'd allow Dempsey to lead the way to wherever it was they were going.

  11. After asking around for a few moments, the two of you quickly get directions and head towards a local farm that offers fresh produce. Thankfully most of their crops are ready for harvest due to it being the correct season. Upon arriving, an adorable golden retriever rushes up to greet you and begins playfully nipping at your hands. It seems to of caught whiff of some dried meat and looks up at Dempsey expectantly.

    Off in the distance, an elderly man ceases his labors and looks up towards the both of you as he shambles over. He looks rather soiled and covered in sweat, true signs of a lower class laborer. His wrinkled sun tanned face smiles as he greets you both. A window appears in your interface after inspecting the man once he finishes speaking casually to ascertain and understand the purpose of your visit.

    Trade Requested!
    Farmer Oak has agreed to sell you a bushel of carrots.
    Asking Price:
    100 g

    Accept/Decline

  12. "ONE. HUNDRED. GOLD?! For some FUCKING Carrots?! RAHHHH!!!"

    She cringes. She knew it wouldn't be cheap, but 100g was a decent chunk of change regardless, and she still had raid supplies to pay for. with a shake of her head she slowly forced her right index to the 'accept' button with a sour expression. She'd have to spend the entire week trying to make up for this loss, but she knew well that this was the inevitable result of a chain of actions that began the moment the quest was offered to her. She had to know what was in that hole, then she had to know what was behind that door. Lastly, she knew that regardless of the cost, she would see this through to completion no matter the time and energy expended, if only to satisfy her own curiosity.

    Minutes later, She and Rosalie found themselves trudging back into town, each with a 25 pound bag of carrots in tow.

    @Hecatus

  13. While Dempsey dealt with the farm's owner, Rosalie got a bit distracted by his dog. The Felis didn't seem to be acquiescing to his request for meat, so Rosalie just pet the dog instead. She'd definitely need to get a cool dog at some point.

    Dempsey seemed... pretty upset at the price, to say the least. "Don't worry about it," she said as she picked up her share of the carrots. "Somewhere along the line we've got to come out of this ahead somehow." That was how these quests worked, wasn't it?

    @Dempsey Fabijain @Hecatus

  14. With carrots in tow, the two of you return back into the depths of the mysterious hole. Again, it distorts your vision, only for you to reappear back into that strange but oh so familiar room filled with the musky odor of old books and antiquity. The hare seems to have been eagerly waiting, as immediately upon arrival he leaps up from his seat out of joy and rushes over to greet you.

    “Wonder! Absolutely, jolly good, fan-freaking-tastically wonderful! I didn’t imagine you’d literally bring as many carrots as I had asked for!” His arms swung wide to demonstrate the amount of carrots the two carried in tow. After all, the haul brought along was no small joke. “Praise to the goddesses for all their fine work! Praaaisee!”

    Without warning, the creature would begin magically inhaling all the carrots (bags and all) directly into his belly. A powerful vacuuming force would suction each and every single stick into what seemed like an endless black hole of a stomach (while surprisingly leaving everything else undisturbed). The creature then let out a powerful belch before covering his mouth and pretending to be embarrassed. “Phewwww! Thank you for the meaaaaal! And with that, I think I'll take a naaaaap... No peaking behind the... ZZzzzzzzZZZZzz”

    It then flopped back onto its designated chair, its eyes groggily shutting. Within seconds, a raucous snoring could be heard as the rabbit had already somehow miraculously passed out. The door seems uncannily within reach and unguarded now.

    In the corner if your interface, a strange currency icon with a carrot etched on one face appears. The game has indicated that four of these strange coins have been obtained by each of you!

    4 Carrot Coins Earned! (Each)

  15. She watches the rabbit man inhale 50 pounds of carrots at once with a mixture of horror, disgust, and curiosity. Even for a moment after, as the thing passed out asleep she continued to stare, and just focus on getting her head completely around the scene she just witnessed.

    With the rabbit out cold, she browses the room, looking for anything that may be of value but decided better of it. Something in the back of her mind simply screamed for her to leave things alone and find out what was on the other side of the mysterious door. She reached for it and turned the knob, then braced herself for more barrenness and looked back to her partner for the time being with a questioning look and a playful grin

    "You ready for this farm girl? We need to be ready for just about anything... this quest is.. well it's weird, and I don't like weird. Not like this anyway..."
