    Azog the Prince of Fire
    ❰ 7000 / 7000 HP ❱
The sky above the temple began to rip open and roared with thunder, the summoning completed. As all watched the scene unfold, the deafening tolls of bells could be heard. Those who wondered who might be crazy enough to ring them in the middle of this massive catastrophe were quickly given their answer, as the two most massive of bells ripped themselves loose, knocking over the towers containing them in the process. As they drifted up into the air in defiance of gravity their forms became more clear. They weren’t bells at all but rather ornate golden vambraces, at least 15 feet wide, that had been re-purposed as bells. Though they seemed to be floating in midair at first, flames burst forth from the centers of each and became the familiar shapes of powerful arms.

Then came the eerie sight of fiery hands ripping apart the fabric of time and space as a colossal fiery form, nearly 100 feet tall, entered the mortal realm. In the seconds before the rift was forced closed and reality became stitched together once more, you could see the twisted world of fire behind him, choked with ash and drowned in molten lava. The intense heat that rushed forth from the rift forced you to turn your head and close your eyes in tears as it extinguished breathable air for a second, eliciting desperate gasping among those who witnessed the sight.

“Asym Azog wzorg ven finyr ara oveqz bar’orth westyr ven dalthorax!!!” the giant elemental spoke in a hoarse and booming voice, almost too loud for anyone to even comprehend. Anyone with mastery over Pyromancy would immediately notice the similarity between their incantation and the language of fire elemental. Those who could understand the titan would alert the rest of the adventurers that the fire elemental referred to himself as Azog, the Prince of Fire, who would crush the insects that plagued this, his realm.

    Actions
Everyone must pick a role. Your role determines what action you can do. Everyone is allowed to perform one of these actions per cycle. RP-wise, you can do a number of things, but the system only counts the action you pick from the spreadsheets.
    • Health Calculator - Everyone starts at full HP regardless of damage in the last event.
    • Tank - Protect allies, disrupt enemies, and mitigate zonal damage.
    • DPS - Damage, damage, and more damage.
    • Support - Heal, buff, and dispel conditions from allies.
    • Hybrid - All of the above.
Hydromancy, Alchemy, Cooking: These can only be performed by people with those mastery.
Replenish Thirst: (Requires: Hydromancy, Alchemy, Cooking) You spend this turn to give everyone in your zone +30 to their water meter.

Rain: (Requires: Hydromancy) You spend this turn to cleanse the burning debuff from everyone in the zone you're in or an adjacent one.

    Notes:
    • Anyone rolling a natural 12 or less will result in a missed attack.
    • Fire damage heals him
    • Immune to Poison
    • Immune to physical weapon. However, assume that the Ynglar Brotherhood is helping everyone with this so physical attackers do not need to worry about it.
    • Vulnerable to Cold and Water damage. Necromancy and Hydromancy manually multiply their final attack result by 2.

    OOC
All cool downs have been reset.
    • If you ONLY join the event on 1 character. You can post twice per cycle, as long as there are 2 posts from other people in between them.
    • If you join with 2 characters, you can ONLY do 1 post for each character per cycle.
    1. Post a Status Tracker in this thread.
    2. If your action requires you to roll, roll at: (Roll) Azog the Prince of Fire before posting. How to link rolls.

You can start in any zone. Your character can only move1 zone per cycle (diagonal counts); it does not count as an action. If you have mastered Rogue or Mobility, you can move 1 zone per turn.

Zone 5 is where the temple was, which has been completely demolished by Azog. No one can enter or go through this zone.

Zone 1 and 3 are full of volcanic hills and rocks, nothing noteworthy.

Zone 2, 7, and 9 all feature curved spires that tower and arch over the top of the volcano. These zones feature hills that you have to run up to get behind the spires. These spires also obscure vision; you cannot attack the boss here.

Zone 4, 6, and 8 all feature thin bridges that lead up to Azog (in zone 5). You must climb up to be able to get on the bridge, the zone movement covers this.

Alpha panted as a flamed behemoth seemed tear through spatial and temporal planes with its massive hands. Heat rushed up her head and she choked, unable to breathe as a dizziness overcame her and clouded her mind. It lasted for a second which felt like eternity before she gasped, throat parched and dry and hurting but, still, she was alive. The strange, chanting words it had spoke (which sounded like something out of a high fantasy film) felt like it had struck her. Rumbling. Powerful.

She shook her head and, with her tongue sticking out, she called out to the elemental prince with a coarse cackle, her enthusiasm having been fed instead of stifled. It was hot. She was sweating. She definitely hated the heat. But this was the first exciting battle she'd seen in a while.

"Fight me!" she grinned, unsheathing her blade and, coating it with the familiar light green of her naturamancy, dashed up the bridge to strike the Goliath.

Imbuement: Zone 8's fighters have their weapons imbued passively by her holy magic, allowing them to attack the Prince.

Things were heating up, and not in the good way! As the temple began to crumble around her, Temperance ran as fast as a bunny girl in heels could, which turned out to be pretty fucking fast! Rather than just tripping her way past people, the girl summoned paths of ice and skated down them in order to be one of the fastest people out of the temple. That ice probably meant a few people slipped and fell, but that was a problem for boring ethics professors to debate over the right or wrongness of! Yay scruples!

Standing on the bridge at the front of the temple, she watched as an even bigger fire guy appeared out of the bells-turned-magical-bracelets. His fashion sense was almost as hot as his sculpted muscular body, and it took a healthy dose of ice cubes down her own back to make her snap out of the squirming that looking at him caused.
"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTHAT'S COLD!" she hissed, skipping around while everyone caught up and began to watch the world crumble apart. She looked about and tried to find some of the heavy hitters from before, summoning up her powerful holy magic to give them a nice big buff! The necromancer was strong as DICK. But she was a necromancer, and those were gross-gross-icky-bad, so she didn't get a buff. Instead, she sent three orbs of light into the air, which raced outwards and struck their targets.

If Gwyn was being honest with herself, she really should have expected this. Not necessarily the giant fire elemental ripping its way from the plane of fire into the material plane of the game, but rather the summoning of something covered in fire in an enclosed space being dangerous. She should not have still been in that building, but at least she had made it out with the majority of the other players. As she moved away from the volcano, eyes locked on the creature forcing its way into the world, the ranger sighed and patted out a few singed edges to her clothes. Luckily her ponytail hadn't caught. She would prefer the smell of the volcanic abomination's sulfurous plumes of smoke and ash over burning hair. Awful.

There was nothing for it though, the thing had to be dealt with. Like the elemental before, however, there was only so much wood and metal could do to something formed of rage and flame. She only had so much energy for the sake of churning out Power Shots and the like. However, the mages nearby caught her eye. Magic buffs. Gwyn barked out a laugh and hauled her longbow up, the momentary caution bleeding away in the presence of the magical enchantments beginning to light up all over the battlefield. She still possessed a fair amount of hesitancy toward magic itself, but she trusted trained hands to wield it better than the deacons wielded this monstrosity they faced now.

Gwyn let out a slow exhale as the magic of one of the gathered casters focused on her. A gleaming light seemed to settle under her skin, a glow showing through her hands and forearms. When she lifted her weapon with a growing grin, it looked for a moment like she had strung a sunbeam along the midnight black bow. This? This should could work with.

    Solar Shot

She fired the first of many strikes to come toward the blistering heat of their collective enemy before calling over her shoulder to the caster in question. "Thanks, hon!" @Temperance certainly deserved fair thanks and it'd be rude not to offer some. God, supports really were a dream come true. Fucking MVPs.

Okay. So, Ash Mouth had been pretty big. But he sure had nothing on this guy. There was nothing left of the temple aside from ruins, lava, and, just, everything on fire. Like, everything.

Ash looked around at the field. Couldn't see many people around, but it was likely that some people had scattered to the other side of the temple during the mad dash to get out. Luckily most people here had escaped major injury, so there wasn't much to patch up for the time being.

Well, time to get to work then. There were a couple of people around who looked ready to attack. While Ash was sort of tempted to join them, she got her one good hit in on Ash Mouth before and that would be enough for her. Anyway, this guy looked a whole lot bigger and meaner, and she'd be able to help best if she was supporting from the sides.

So, that said, Ash focused and concentrated. Best to hit this guy hard at the beginning. A couple of people around were going to attack? Well then, Ash was going to give them a bit of a boost to start off.

She stared in horror at the... thing in the middle. Some sort of elemental creature that had torn a hole through time and space to torment them. That was their enemy. She stood back and watched as others charged ahead with barely any hesitation, shooting arrows or waving swords. Casting spells and healing, or whatever people do when confronted by a big fiery creature from Terra hell.

Kyupin swallowed down the whimper building in her throat. She couldn’t run away, not without feeling guilt for 1000 years if somebody died. What if she could’ve saved them? She highly doubted it, but... what if?!

So, she'd follow in the footsteps of all the other crazy adventurers that had run to put a stop to this fiery madness... Kyupin ran up a hill, tailing after @Ashiore Evretto. It would be no good if one of their supports would die, and it seemed like Temperance was covered by Gwyn. Skidding to a stop, she nocked her arrow and let loose upon (what she hoped was) the final boss.

Roland wasn't really particularly surprised when their celebration was cut short. To put it simply, one possessed elemental wasn't enough to call as a server wide emergency. As the prince of fire began to take form Roland's lips turn distastefully. It wasn't one of the Tora after all, his hopes for finding more about the religious lore of the world was suddenly slashed. The creature began to speak in a booming dialect as Roland moved forward to it. As it had formed it had forced everyone out of the temple, melting it with ease and filling the immediate area with a large blanket of smoke. It would only be a matter of time until it scorching attacks managed to burn through everyone's armor. Taking advantage of the chaos Roland had tried to separate himself as much as he could from the others, take cover in one of the volcanic rocks near by as he applied a new coating to his blades. It was an alchemic ingredient much like a liquid metal, it caused his attacks to have a frost like an attack, perfect for dealing with fire creatures.

With the first phase of his plan complete, Roland took a nice and long hard draft from his whiskey flask before pushing himself up. In a drunken haze, Roland almost mistook his new buff courtesy of @Temperance for a new whiskey related perk. Sadly he realized his mistake but gave the bunny girl a friendly wave of thanks before stalking up behind the elemental lord. "Hey Ugly!" he said feeling suddenly lacking in the wit department, "Are you going to let the real god show up or what? Because I'm tired of dealing with low-level whelps like you. Really, just look at you, all one element, and fire at that. The weakest of the elementals. I could literally kill you by spitting on you! You should feel bad. Your mom should feel bad, and you should just go back to hell and bring the real god out already you pathetic piece of burning oak tree." With the tirade of insults flung, Roland finished off the taunt with a flourish of his two blades aiming his alchemically enhanced blades at the torso of the creature.

Lucia could only leer at the creature, still filled with anger of earlier. A deep frown on her face as she gestured with her hand knowing that she should have diversified further. "Next time I'll make sure I can tank too." She spoke with a sly grin watching her army return to her side once more, having been displaced during the escape, the Tal'darim Knight Order wouldn't be annihilated so easily. "For now, we're at a disadvantage my friends! For that, I can only take any blame you might have, but next time, you'll be able to better perform your duties I assure you. For now, I can only ask you charge to the front as before and fight as hard as you can until we fall together!" She spoke with a warm grin watching the knights coming together with frost tipped spears, once more getting into formation, but as they stood with shields and spears raised, it was clear the formation was different. The knight order in it's entirety split off into smaller cells to act as wings for the other players charging forward into the fray. Small five man cells followed along behind other players, once more intending on thrusting as many frost colored blades as they could into the monster's body.

While they made an effort to maintain an offensive, Lucia made an effort to do a service to the people who were charging forward, intending on sacrificing the cell to try and protect them. It was a useless effort, she knew, but even if it was just a sacrifice made to sooth the hearts of those fighting it would be worthwhile. Her Death Knights were endless and numberless but the players themselves were not. With a gesture she commanded from the rear trying to stay close to Ashiore who was giving her additional support.

They answered the call later than most would suggest, perhaps, but there was little need to get caught in the initial rush of players swarming an event. They remembered the siege and how quickly and tempestuously things had changed there. They didn't care for it in the least.

And so, when Rook arrived it was to the world falling apart. The Velten was content to cross their hands in front of themselves and blink owlishly up at the impressive beast pulling itself tooth and nail into the world. There was a long moment where they heard nothing despite the roaring of the flames and the calls to arms. Everything bled out from the world save the gold and orange and red of fire. For a moment, everything else was dull and gray as if already buried in a tomb of ash. And then she raged. As the rift closed and the Prince of Fire made his claim, The Ash Cat raged. The Cindered Queen reached through their Astramancy with such a caterwaul of rage and hatred and jealously bleeding into a blinding chorus of her voice and her voice alone. It was... distracting.

With a delicate hand, the Faerin pulled their tarot cards out to skim their fingers along the backs. Rook could feel the patron of Pyromancy at the edges of their sense trying to claw her own way into the world through him. It wouldn't work, but she was trying all the same. Instead, they sighed gently and pressed her back. The gentle hands of Illumancy's patron helped.

    The Star. The Lovers.
    Inspiration. Decisiveness.

The holy power, so other in its nature to someone like Rook, came to them regardless of the disconnect. The patron was a quieter sort, reticent and nervous. It didn't often rise to move the cards without being actively bade to do so, but here it would help. The Queen of Cats could not be allowed to attack the Prince of Fire, her fury at the assumed usurper from her own plane would only lead to her healing him. Instead, it was Illumancy who struck out with a spell that gave the Faerin's Astramancy teeth.

Though it was satisfying for ursula to see her bombs blow the monster up and how the continuous attacks from everyone managed to take down the large elemental, things went south moments after real quick. Between lava or being crushed by the crumbling temple, Ursa somehow managed to flee from inside the structure before it turned to dust. With a low grunt, she got up to her feet and cursed being back outside in this hell-heat area; if that wasn’t enough, the appearance of the huge monsters before them forced her to gasp and cough on the sudden but momentaneous lack of air.

Her blue orbs locked on the gigantic enemy before her — even for someone as clueless in magic as her, it was apparent that no fire or bomb of hers would deal any damage to this hellfire creature. Ursula glanced around as her eyes tried to register something useful in amidst the chaos ensuing in the battlefield and soon enough they found a massive steam vent. Ursula’s lips curled up in a massive grin as she knew just what she had to do.

The blacksmith sprinted towards the steam vent and crouched near it, removing and assembling all her tinker-equipment in her ridiculously large backpack. Soon enough, she had a steampunk suit of armor slightly big, though not quite considered large yet. Connected it’s steam engine to the vent, and with proper timing got the thing to work. Once inside aboard her own creation, Ursula noticed how @Ashiore Evretto 's buff affected her tinkerchine — a quick thumbs up from the suit’s large gauntlets acknowledged the support’s work.

Ursa removed a large boulder from the ground using her suit with ease and climbed up to the bridge. “AYE, BURNBUTT!” her steam suit’s large gauntlet-gears turned at impressive speeds while the steam engine on the back let out a vicious hiss. “TAKE ‘DIS, YA FUDGIN’ MOTHERQUACKER!” Suddenly, a large steam explosion ensued, shooting the large boulder straight at the monster.

Things were really kicking off and a lot of powerful attacks were being thrown out! The really tall archer lady standing with her on the bridge was among the better fighters it seemed, with a really strong shot that tore through the air and sunk into the hunky sexy fire guy! She was sad to see him being hurt like that, but his friends from before were kind of assholes so she didn't feel THAT bad about it. The archer was nicer than him, and thanked her for the buff she had been given.

Smiling, Temperance skipped over to the large lady who was preparing another shot and stood up, snatching three arrows out of the woman's quiver.
"YOINK!" she shouted, scrunching her nose and lips up and making a funny little face as she examined the three arrows in her hands. Raising each to her lips, she gave them a kiss that left a wisp of holy magic on their ends, then held them out for Gwyn to take.
"Try these three! They've been made mightier with the power of my love! Also some holy magic to WRECK HIS SHIT. Pretty cool!"

She hadn't expected this when she accepted the summon. First the enormous mushroom giant in the forest, then the godforsaken wurm-infested tunnels beneath the castle, now this? Maybe she really did have a death wish, continuing to play the game.

But she was here now. Looking around for a large group of people, Claire spotted a few people huddled over in a group. It was best to stay together with people who could cover for you, so Claire made her way over to them.

And, well, obviously a fire creature would be weak to ice and water, wouldn't it? Time to give it a try. She put her hands together and summoned a ball of water, lobbing it at the giant creature in the center. But it looked like it wasn't enough, and the ball evaporated seconds after it left her hands. Frustrated, Claire scowled. Great. Just, great.

The flaming elemental hadn't had a chance to react to Roland's verbal beat down before he began to move. Unbeknownst to him Alpha had attacked the creature previously and now stood rather in a compromising situation beside him. His entire plan had been to draw the creatures ire away from others, he guessed it was a bad idea to start with behind the monster, that would be the first place a rogue would think to attack him. Roland swung a sword at the creature but was simply too concerned with getting out of the area to actually hit it.

Moving northwest, Roland continued to scream at the beast at the top of his lungs, "I wonder how your God feels about having sniveling creatures like you worship him. Surely he detests you, I'm sure I wouldn't want a bunch of half baked pieces of burning splinters harassing me while I'm trying to be omnipotent. It's actually kind of sad, I don't think you're even smart enough to o understand a word I am saying, I bet that nonsense you spouted earlier was the babbling of a child to your race. Well, I guess all of your kind likely speak it, since your intelligence is equal to that of children right? Oh wait, is that a cloud coming? Oh no, your main weakness, a naturally occurring phenomenon is on its way, better go hiddddeee"

Opening his eyes, he pushed himself off the ground using his arms, not knowing where he was he looked around to take his surrounding in, he didn't know where he was at, the last thing he remembered was helping bring down the leader of the cult than there was victory for him and the others when the leader was struck down but than there was a tremor? an earthquake that was followed by an explosion with lava filling up the inner sanctum. What came last was him teleporting himself out of the temple but everything after that was blank, did he use too much energy in his teleportation? He wasn't sure but one thing he did know, the job wasn't over yet! His suspicion was confirmed when a bunch of players helped him up and told him now of the greater fire deamon up the ridge across the bridge. He thanked the players as they began climbing the ridge to the bridge "Climb? I don't think so"He laughed to himself at the idea of him climbing, why climb when he could teleport? Looking up the ridge where he could see a small portion of the bridge from afar, he snapped both his index and middle fingers together and placed them on his forehead, concentrating his energy from his mind, he instantly teleported to the top of the ridge where the bridge laid.

There he saw the monster he was destined to fight, he stood there in awe of the best of it's sheer size but it didn't scare him, calculations began running through his mind how he could deal damage to such a beast, the beast within him relished to enter battle "Yes He is worthy of battling, I can now test my full power agianst such an opponent!" The two were agreeement in that the two wanted to fight it and the beast within him allowed him to use his power for the time being but what for the future? He wondered if he could damage the beast with his arcanamancy at this range, Gripping his fist together, he began powering up, sending his energy throughout his body to his hands. After gathering an signficant amount of energy in the palms of his hands, he tried releasing it............but nothing. He sighed in dissapointment, he must of used too much energy when he teleported. Seeing he had to let his recharge somewhat, he decided to get closer, possibly to the next zone in hoping getting closer.
