He spent the next fifteen minutes on the move towards the greater deamon when he came upon the King of the new kingdom as he fired a wave of ice at the monster they were all battling, He didn't hesitate to walk over to the King and a girl besides him and bow slightly. "Your Majesty, I am at your disposal. I will aid you the best I can if that's what you wish my lord." He turned to the girl for a moment to get a better look at her, a white haired female Felis. He noted her appearance with a slight shrug before turning his attention to the giant deamon in the distance. Gripping his Odachi tightly, he
held it with his two hands out forward, Focusing on his breathing, he quickly collected the energy through his magic and channeled into his hand and blade. The energy went from the normal color of energy into dark energy as he harvested it for his own needs. Cutting his surpluss energy off from the rest of his body, he made the energy around the blade physical as a ebony aura took form. Trusting his Odachi forward Seto yelled out

    Reality Slash!
He swung the blade using all his might horizontally, the Odachi's ebony aura created one after the other, three mid sized magical slashes in succession horizontally moved forward like an energy of destruction, moving at a speed a human could never match, the three slashes ripped through the air and into the beast, causing a mighty roar, they didn't do major damage but he did manage to hit in between the joints or at least he thought. @Astor Balthas @Ilusa Nakhalee

Landing a solid hit mattered over the course of a boss fight. While the severity depended on the boss, most of the hitting becomes more vital the further the combat progresses. Alonso landed on his feet, one hand on the ground as the bearish combatant pushed himself away to gain a better view of his surroundings. He did not want to be on the receiving end of an attack that could end most of his health bar. Growling, the Felis began to ponder whether he should have just set himself into a Tank role instead of DPS. Too late now to switch between the two anyways. A sigh escaped his throat as he prepped to go in for another attack.

However, @Lucia Mierz summoned up a horde of undead creatures to swarm the boss in efforts to assist. While they did their best to go around, the man's impressive mass was a little big to maneuver around. Interception was not done on the Berserker's end. He was forced to hop to the side to avoid getting trampled, and he was far from happy about that. "Might wanna aim these damn things better next time," the Felis said. Today was for being irritable. Not a good thing, since his real world workouts required him to be careful of his physical attributes in multiple ways.

Alpha didn't know how to duel-wield swords; she'd seen a few people do it once but she never found out how they did it. As of such, she was physically incapable of attacking with both of her weapons at once (despite having around three items of offensive potential). That didn't, however, stop her from trying to learn and, amidst her wanderings and pilgrimage, she found wisdom. She couldn't wield two weapons at once, no. She could, however, throw weapons and that made a huge difference.

"Try to fight this! Double Dagger Attack!" she called out as she flipped her Wolf's Claw from out of her inventory and, in a swift motion, threw it straight at the giant. And, as it flew through the air, she unsheathed her regular blade, Envenomed Fang and charged. She flew as fast as the thrown blade, mostly in part due to her mastered rogue skill. Unfortunately, the residual nature magic she had imbued within the Wolf's Claw didn't last long and barely managed to pierce the enemy. She cursed and, thrust her Envenomed Fang into the small cut as she retrieved and pocketed her other weapon.

She breathed but found that the air was hot and dry. She really hoped this battle wasn't going to last too long.

What exactly had Alia been thinking when she decided that it would be a good idea to join a boss fight. She had gotten back into the game after some time away from it due to a few things that had been going on outside of game and the things she had heard about in game from a few of those that had told her. She wasn't sure how she felt about it all. But she had decided that it would be a good idea to jump into a boss fight. Yea she was crazy and doing crazy was well not a bad idea at the moment or at least she didn't think it was a bad idea at the moment. She took a deep breath and looked around her looking up at the Azog. Well if they were all insects to him she might as well show him what insects could do to him.

She found herself in the same zone as Seto in had been awhile in game since she's seen Seto. She just smiled as she made her attack duel wielding as she went. Her movements just as they should be fluid in motion though the did not hit for as hard as she wanted too.

Kohaku was armed with a new gadget and some new armor. It wasn't anything special that was for sure but it showed off what he had done in a way. The Faerin didn't mind what the others might think of all this. After all it didn't ever matter to him until it needed to matter to him. He wound up in zone four looking around and squaring up for a good attack on the beast that was before them. There were not taunts and there was no reason for him to care about taunting the fire monster. The problem though. He couldn't use his magic to help him out this time. It was all on the skill with his crossbow now. Which when it came to ranged weaponary was not the favorite of his to use. He usually liked his knives but he wanted to get used to it.

In get used to it he had decided that the boss fight was a good a time as any to actually use the crossbow with its supply of bolts. He didn't say anything just moved up and took his shot hoping it would land and do at least a little damage to the massive fire monster who was making him angry.

The defeat of the fire creature brought upon a larger one, standing tall a hundred feet. It would be impossible to attack it, but luckily the support imbued all the gears with magic, allowing them to hurt the fire abomination.

Even looking at it hurts, literally. She joined the rest of the group up the bridge, which offers no protection at all. With the shield she has, she can barely even move forward with the heat stinging every part of her body. She stopped in the foremost line of the formation, with her shield held up high. Previously Astor, the King of Astorea gave her an advice to go auto if she isn't proficient yet. Giving it a try, her body moves on its own with the flow, taking few steps before slamming magic-imbued shield to the giant.

Coughing Ozwin finally pulled himself out of some rubble to see that everything had apparently gone to hell while he had his hands occupied... again. Really if every time he showed up late there was a bigger fire monster he would simply have to stop going places... or showing up in a timely matter... Yeah that wasn't happening.

Well only one thing to do for it... recklessly charge forth and blast the sonova dollar store lighter with lightning. It wasn't like he was multifaceted and skillful person anyway. He had a trident that would melt before he got close and it wasn't exactly like he had a ship to crash into the giant ass freak.

Astor felt rather good that he was able to do a lot damage to Azog and freezing his body (?) with his massive ice spell. With @Ilusa Nakhalee ’s powerful buff, he thought about trying again, though the volcanic smog made it absolutely terrible for his sight. He launched several ice spears at the boss... However... the trajectory was arced flaccidly in midair, starting high first and then quickly descended down into the group a few feet away.

Looking around to see if anyone had noticed his massive fumble, he quickly ran over to where the ice spears landed and picked them up before he hurled it at Azog's massive body, only to miss again.

Turning his head back toward Ilusa, Astor had a face overwhelmed with shock as he slowly came back to her and rested his forehead against her shoulder as depression hung about him.

Oh how far had the King fell... and to add to insult, the rest of his zone-mates' eyes were fixed on him with an indescribable intensity. Like @Seto Kurama and @Alia

"I will relinquish my crown because of this..." he said.

Stelluna gazed upon the towering fire elemental that the Deacons of Flame had summoned. At least, that's what she thought it was; She wasn't a mage and this was way out of her area of expertise. She decided that whatever the elemental was trying to do, it was best to try and stop it. Atop the thin bridge, she charged forward, aiming to grab its attention, only to be forced back a particularly fierce burst of fire. She almost fell off the bridge avoiding it but manage to keep her grip. She had a feeling that it wasn't on purpose, the elemental was just that fiery.

Impressive though the heroes' opening salvos were, Azog did not return their attacks with any of his own. Instead he did as the royal always do, and bid his minions handle the fight for him. As the energy taken from the rifts empowered him and left him impervious to all forms of harm the great Prince of Fire shaped and wielded the energy in his hands.

Raising one of his arms high above his head, the energy began to pool and coalesce into a vague javelin-like shape, slowly taking on a more and more absolute form as he willed something into being. Something gleaming and blinding in its white-hot intensity, longer even than he was tall, which would be able to strike the very edges of the crater from where he waited in its center. The fact that he ignored those about him and confidently focused on his task spoke measures about how perfectly this situation suited him.

    the summons

From the Spires located at the far sides of the volcanic crater, small rifts begin to form as the summoning ritual begun by the cultists continues. Azog, Prince of Flames, would need an army to serve him in this world and an army is what they had sworn to provide. Atop each spire a powerful figure appeared.

One was a woman of flame and ashes who hurled powerful bolts of fire. The second, a figure resembling a stout dwarf, whose hammer seemed ready to crush enemies aside. The last of them was a strange assemblage of earth and flame, whose roar caused jets of flame to sweep out across the battlefield in giant waves.

As each jumped down from their pillars and landed upon the battlefield, fissures start to form in zones 1 and 3, small pools of lava beginning to rise up from them. Before too much longer, anyone within those zones would have to flee for their lives or sink within the slowly rising magma.

As the Summons begin to attack the heroes, the rifts that they had entered through belch huge solar-flare like beams of flame that reach out to Azog and surround him with a golden hue. All further attempts to harm him are futile until the Summons are slain, whose link to the rifts allows Azog to keep drawing protection from his own realm.

    Actions
Everyone must pick a role. Your role determines what action you can do. If you already have a role, you cannot change it. Everyone is allowed to perform one of these actions per cycle system-wise. RP-wise, you can combine mastery, do multiple actions, or socialize, etc; the system only counts the action you pick from the spreadsheets to calculate damage or support.
    • Tank - Protect allies, disrupt enemies, and mitigate zonal damage.
    • DPS - Damage, damage, and more damage.
    • Support - Heal, buff, and dispel conditions from allies. You can only support people in the same zone as you.
    • Hybrid - All of the above.
Hydromancy, Alchemy, Cooking: These can only be performed by people with those mastery.
Replenish Thirst: (Requires: Alchemy, Cooking) You spend this turn to give everyone in your zone +30 to their water meter.

Rain: (Requires: Hydromancy) You spend this turn to prevent burning for half a cycle and give everyone in your zone +20 to their water meter

    Notes:
    • Fire damage heals Azog. He is immune to Poison and to physical weapons (however, it is assumed that magic casters are helping to imbue attackers' weapons with magic so they can do damage to Azog.
    • If you have made a Reckless Attack you take x2 damage from the Summons. If you have made two Reckless Attacks you take x3 damage from the Summons.
    • You can may now only Attack or Support if you are in the same zone as your target/ally. A person in zone 1 cannot attack a monster in zone 2, for instance. They must occupy the same space. The exception to this is Azog.
    • If you don't think you'll be able to post within 15+ hours, reply in the alcove. We will not damage you.

    OOC
All posting cooldowns have been refreshed!

You can have up to 2 posts per OOC account. This means that you can post twice per cycle, HOWEVER, if you are joining with 2 characters, it will be 1 post for each of them.

You cannot attack Azog this turn In order to target his summons, you need to be in the same some they are in! Make sure you edit the HP accordingly to match those in your zone.

You can start in any zone. Your character can only move 1 zone per post (diagonal counts); it does not count as an action. If you have mastered Rogue or Mobility, you can move 2 zones per turn.

Zone 5 is where the temple was, which has been completely demolished by Azog. No one can enter this zone.

Zone 1 and 3 are full of volcanic hills and rocks, nothing noteworthy. They are beginning to flood with lava.

Zone 2, 7, and 9 all feature curved spires that tower and arch over the top of the volcano. These zones feature hills that you have to run up to get behind the spires. These spires also obscure vision; you cannot attack the boss here.

Zone 4, 6, and 8 all feature thin bridges that lead up to Azog (in zone 5). You must climb up to be able to get on the bridge, the zone movement covers this.

Azog seemingly didn't react to Roland's attempt at taunting him, instead, it spawned several elementals with the intent of dragging out the battle. Roland let out a low growl as they attack his friends and allies around him, none of the creatures dedicating themselves to attacking the swordsman. Grumbling under his breath Roland headed towards @Astor Balthas were he had just received a powerful blow. The seemingly female elementals had attacked with the highest ferocity here, clearing aiming to take down the ring leader. "You stand out too much!" Roland said with a flourish of his blades, positioning himself between the man and the elementals. Focusing on his opponent, Roland tied together with a string of attacks aimed at the maiden in the immediate vicinity, his frost imbued weapons doing well to cut through her defenses. "Listen up!" he yelled at the fire maiden with a slight slur, "If you pathetic pieces of tinder want a fight, focus on me! If you don't I'm going to start tearing you up one by one until you're nothing but matches!"

As the creature made of molten rock appeared, Claire grimaced. The blast of flame hadn't done too much damage, but it was as if all the moisture was gone from the air. The searing heat seemed to deplete her strength quicker than normal, as if she'd spent an entire day running a marathon instead of just barely half an hour of standing around. Granted, the entire area was a molten hellhole, but Claire thought she wouldn't be so bad.

Oh. The little meter draining in the corner of her vision showed the answer. Right. She kept forgetting that these basic little needs were actual game mechanics, but now her thirst meter going down made it pretty apparent now.

Ah, but she read about this. Hm. Looks like keeping people hydrated would have to be a priority. "Careful!" she shouted, sending floating globes of water towards everyone. "Get too dehydrated and you won't be able to regenerate health!"

Of course the giant wasn't going to fall without doing any fight. The prince of fire summoned three creatures of fire to attack all the groups. One menacing fiery creature assembled in the middle of the bridge and unleashes a fiery blast which damages everyone in its vicinity. Her shield proved useful to mitigate the damage, but she doesn't know if her teammates can withstand another blast. They need to replenish their thirst.

She ran into the creature, trying to get its attention to her. The auto attack system did it job, as she jumped and slammed her shield into the face of the Archon. The effect of the surprising attack is quite noticeable as the creature stumbles and try to regain balance. Corvella hits her shield with her sword, taunting the creature gladiator-style.

Hot, hot, hot, hot! Now there were more fire monsters?! That isn't fair dammit! ... actually ganging up on the boss could be considered unfair by some views but that wasn't important right now. What was important is that this walking zippo decided it would come down here and try and mess with him, Ozwin the great man of the sea, lover of lovely women, and drinker of fine wine?

Speaking of lovely women and a nice drink. "Thanks for the drink lovely miss, allow me to return the favor later!" Ozwin shouted towards @Claire Thalassa . He noticed @Corvella blocking the beast from the front so he slipped around and began stabbing at volcano face with a lightning lance flurry.
