The thirst that came with unbearable heat was quickly quenched by the thoughtful Claire. It did nothing to help the damage she'd taken from that heat blast, but something was always better than nothing. It just meant she'd have to fight that much harder to make sure nobody else would get hurt. Luckily, the summon that tormented them was easily taken down by the masses.

It didn't look like she'd be needed here. With a cat-like nimbleness, Kyupin ran and hopped off the bridge, then sprinted up another bridge, where a dwarf seemed determined to jump into Azog's arms.

    Not on her watch.

Her fingers hooked around the bowstring, pulling it taut and letting loose arrow after arrow at the stout figure.

Seeing the attack coming, Lucia turned her eyes away, ducking down to make herself a smaller target. Immediately a pair of shields were thrust down around her in an effort to safeguard her from the direct flame. While it didn't save her from the residual heat and scorching flame licking at her from the ends, it was different from simply eating a direct attack. With the help of Sylvanas and another knight remaining close by though, Lucia dusted her darkened cheongsam off a bit before rising back up just as the pair pulled their shields away. By the time she was preparing to arrange a counter attack, a critical hit had been struck, one that made her inwardly relieved. There was no bitterness about not having the chance to strike the blow herself, in truth she wasn't one who ever had that kind of expectation from the start with her luck. Instead, seeing the creature defeated, she glanced around to those the others to check the damage. "Thank you for the help." She mentioned glancing first the one who cast the support for her thirst meter. With a frown though she recognized quickly she couldn't do much more where she stood. "We can't stand here and lick our wounds-- Let's rotate to the other side and see what we can do." She spoke with a strong decisiveness in her tone.

She would surely return back to the bridge, no doubt, if for no other reason then she liked the advantages of that side section, but for now she lifted her Tome and gestured with a hand causing the dark knights to suddenly halt. Retreating like a tide of smoke, the creatures pulled back to follow Lucia around to the other end behind Alonso who had started off before her. The Undead wouldn't be able to arrange themselves and form up after such a forced march so instead she lifted a hand deciding to use her own skills to strike the creature while they gathered themselves up. With a few hand gestures she cast a spell from her repertoire she hadn't used up until now. It was a high end spell, not like the arrows she'd used in the past. Once she completed the sequence of gestures, she swung a hand fiercely at the creature. The ominous chill of a gentle breeze would blow by before an unseen blade crafted from a frigid force. It wasn't enough to end it, but it was a good follow up she felt with a nod.

After the Kindling Ember fought its way past Gwyn, Beretta, Alonso, Lucia and Kyupin, it reached the ruins of the temple and the pit of lava in which Azog rests. Reaching down into the golden flames, the Ember catches fire and blows away in a cloud of ash as from its crumbling husk come wisps of pyromantic energy. They drift across Azog's mighty form and heal many of the wounds inflicted upon him as he lets out a booming laugh, the weapon forging in his hand nearly complete.

The Volcanic Maiden was all that remained and prevented Azog from being harmed, fighting in zone 6.

The monsters that had appeared were being dealt with quickly and viciously by the different groups of heroic people that had come to fight this giant flaming freak, and that was okay by Temperance's standards. Granted she could do without the presence of the undead... but they seemed to be throwing themselves directly into the fire, so that was a pair of warm clean socks in her book. The most immediate concern she had was keeping people healed, and after she and the little girl threw a couple of healing spells at the powerful mage guy, he appeared to be doing a lot better.

A shriek from the volcanic maiden saturated the air around her with horrible heat, causing her to sweat and her mouth to become dry, her throat raw. Red mage needed food, badly! But as she prepared to hydrate herself and everyone around her, the same flaming woman hit the shouting man with the two swords and he was engulfed in flame for taunting her. He had been shouting a lot at the bad guys, and it seemed whenever he did, their attention became focused on him more and more... so he was a sort of idiot.
Or maybe he was doing it on purpose, wow! What a really STUPID but interesting plan that was! If he was volunteering to play martyr and take the brunt of the hits though, she was more than happy to let him! Focusing her magic into a powerful healing spell, she cast it upon the man to help ease the bite of some of his nasty wounds.

Of course he was still on fire but... that was something he could deal with! Yay teamwork!
"Put out the fire and you should be just fine! Yay you!"

_____It seemed Alice would not be sitting around for that long before things started to go wrong. As the boss chose to summon Alice looked to what group was struggling the most. Hopping across the stones towards the group farthest away from her current location however stopping at the fighting nearest to see Lucia and some others in a small pickle. Tapping her UI carefully before a wave of pollen blew from behind the group healing the three who had suffered some damage.

_____Alice did not exactly look like she planned to stay in the same area as the enemy for much longer as she trembled in place seeing clear view of both the summon the group was fighting and the boss himself. ”Note to self… Stop following shiny things!” Alice mostly mumbled to herself as she moved to the edge of zone eight nearing zone seven, she still had some ground to cover before she was at her targeted location.

“HAH, YOU SCARED LITTLE BURNSHIT.” Ursa shouted to Azog as it went and used its fancy magic to become invulnerable to attacks. For a moment, the blacksmith cursed her ability to not use it as apparently anything goes with magic.

Summoned minions advanced on the bunch of adventurers, and as far as her vision could tell, there was at least one in every major zone. The one that arrived at zone 4 with a face not unlike that of a god damned volcano attacked and though it didn’t seem to do much harm at first, Ursa quickly felt her skin and entire body burn and scream for water. Thanks to efforts from magic casters, that was quickly taken care of, along with the monster itself.

With that said, Ursula quickly tried her best to reach a zone that required her help to kick the butt of these things. Much to her chagrin, the direct way to zone eight was a bit too dangerous for someone in a hulking steam suit. Sighing in annoyance, Ursula changed her path, heading to zone seven in order to rendezvous with the rest of the adventurers. When the blacksmith finally managed to run up the hills to proceed to the other zones however, She realized her steam suit slowed down considerably until it outright stopped, leaving her stuck in an awkward position. Ursula cursed her luck as she was stuck inside her suit with no fuel and no ability to attack either, as the spires obscured one’s vision of Azog.

"Oh goddamn it! This ain't my lucky day! Shoulda remained in the fudging mines!"

She looked up at the boss as the fiery dwarf tossed himself off the edge of their bridge and into the flames. Her heart leaped into her throat. "No–!" She watched helplessly as the weapon continued to form, flames licking at the wounds they'd managed to inflict on the giant man. And still, there was nothing she could do to him.

It was too hot to even cry - her tears quickly wicked away. She shook her head, side to side, and gave a small wave of appreciation to @Alice. There were probably others who deserved healing, but it had already been done. She would use it to her advantage.

Once again, she sprinted down the ramp, hopping off as soon as she was closer to stable ground, and made her way up to the final bridge. The woman on fire stood, furious and shrieking.

Kyupin looked around her. Looked at the adventures all gathered together to put a stop to this madness. She would do her part too. Lifting her bow, pulling the string taut, Kyupin breathed deeply. She let the tension build, and then let loose. The arrow sailed through the air - it flew true, the head of the arrow easily piercing the woman's throat, ending the echoing scream. It was a horrible end. Painful, rage-filled, wavering off as blood drowned her voice.

And then the woman was dead.

img The large elemental, even after all the damage it was taking, refused to dirty it's own hands. Either that, or it found itself too slow to swat so many flies and needed smaller, more mobile allies. Beretta was drawn away from her rather too close for comfort position with the spirit. A dwarven looking creature sacrificed itself, from the shouts and constantly flowing communication, it looked like the summons fell in a short time. Beretta smiled slightly at this. The payers here were definitely of a different tier than what these games attracted. There was no need for a 'hero' like the Kirito legend n this. That was probably because they had no need to fear death here.

Beretta took a few seconds to make sure she had the energy to continue. The dwarf had made a weak swing for her earlier but was a lot less dangerous than it looked. In fact this whole thing seemed to be less than it looked. She could not help but think that there was going to be a twist here. Sadly, battles were not a good place to contemplate....

So she just went right back to where she left off. Punching a boss more than 5 x her size at point blank range.

While nobody was looking, amongst the mess of players, another one appeared. As all were focused on the hulking mass of flames they called the "Prince of Fire", a little bolt of arcane mana, like any other, flew over people's heads and disappeared into Azog.

That was done by some blue-haired Yladian who, despite being very scared of that oversized mass of heat, still retained enough control over herself to open up the spell list and select a basic spell. No heroic entry lines, no taunts, just the chant.

She was hoping no one else would even notice. She was here to take in the sights, hopefully watch it die and skedaddle.

In hindsight, perhaps she should have taken up stealth and thievery instead of magic when she made her character...

    Empowered Solar Shot

The last of the imbued arrows was sent sailing toward the Prince of Flames as she watched the Maiden fall in the other zone. The power draped around the entity writhed and flexed and then? Faded away, cast off in wisps, leaving it wide open for another holy strike. The blazing path of the gleaming, holy arrows slammed into one of the healed rifts in the body of the elemental. It was paltry compared to what footing they had lost against it. Gwyn forced herself not to snarl at the setback of it, instead rallying to use the frustration against it. If he thought to heal himself, then they would only manage to tear into him more and more. Every second he prolonged the fight, every extra attack he allowed? The further he fell from whatever immortal status he thought himself. He was making her target practice last far longer than need be. She should practically thank him.

Unfortunately, as the archer glanced around to recount the heads in her Zone, she bit out a low curse. At least @Kyupin Felnya wasn't around to scold her for it. The real problem with their current set up? No support save the tiny Faerin. She didn't recognize any of her current team as Hydromancers either. There were a lot of players gathered in the opposing zones, four and six full to bursting, so she didn't blame their current full staff of supports, but she had a dreadful feeling she hoped was wrong. For now all she could do was test the string of her longbow with a reassuring pluck and ready the next round of shots. They'd have a lot less bite without that damage buff, but there was still a lot of damage on the battlefield to heal and thirsts to quench. Gwyn would make do. She always did.

Ursula tried to pull her body out of the suit not once, twice and not even thrice, but more than four attempts were required until she finally managed to squeeze out of the steam suit. If running out of steam because of her carelessness wasn’t enough, she couldn’t control the her strength properly as she managed to free herself, and ultimately hit face first on the ground eating a good amount of volcanic dust in the process. After a quick coughing fit, the blacksmith was finally recovered and ready to kick some ass… Or not!

Then reality sunk in her face as she realized she couldn’t do much without her steam suit, unlike all those newcomers. “Aye, ‘dis really ain’t my day… Guess I can’t help it. Gotta find some way to fix this thing…” Ursula crouched near the steam engine and scratched her chin as her eyes scanned the tinkering machine; the problem wasn’t necessarily tied to a lack of fuel, but rather, a malfunctioning regulator gear. Filling the poor thing with more steam would mean nothing if its core components couldn’t regulate the amount of steam released.

Ursula jumped up back on the suit and picked up her toolbox, as well as a gauntlet connector mechanism just like one of her suit’s large gauntlets. To put her equipment to work, she’d need to fix the regulator and fill the thing with steam. Unfortunately, that would take a while.

imgSeveral quick punches followed by a straight and hard sideways kick into the blazing inferno. How on earth she was not a burnt rice crispy right now was beyond her. Although, yes, this was not Earth so maybe it just was okay. Beretta only played these games for work not for fun so it really was a little annoying when logic flipped upside down in these things. Luckily she did this for so long that it was no longer a problem. It was about learning how the individual game's idea of reality worked. Most, if not all of them, went with this kind of approach.

"This boss is barely moving, it's minions were beaten..."

Beretta jumped back and pulled back a bit more as she watched it for a moment. Standing up straight she closed her eyes and sighed quietly.

"Alright, I guess we had a good time here."

Her eyes opened and her fists clenched. She refused to approach it again. Her analysis was coming together and she used her own instincts to remain where she was back at the deeper area of Zone 8.

"Damm, this bastard harder to damage than he thought, I'll have to try something else my sleeve." The inner beast took a liking to the fustrated Seto who had became fustratated at the fact that him and everyone else wasn't doing enough damage to the monster. It wanted some more enteratment so it figured it would jumped into his thoughts to intervine as it enjoyed Seto's suffering "Bloody fool, Fire a full power Abyss Cannon, we'll rip a hole right through that beast!" He nodded his head back and forth "NO! I can't do that! If I fire that, there's a real possibility it could kill dozens of players off and at the moment we need all the help we can. The deamon simply growled at him before dissappearing "Than don't die weakling, I've lent you my power for a reason, Use it or else I'll take control!" Seto took mental note before coming to reality, looking around, he noticed the King and the girl were still with him, he was pleasently surprised however when he saw Alia, he yelled out for her "Alia it's awhile, you sure as hell picked a time to check up on ol Seto didn't you?"He didn't get to speak as another player yelled at for him, looking over his shoulder, he looked at the male player, a rather tall one he noted like himself "I guess so as the Majesty is Pre occuiped at the moment. Seto Yelled out towards the players near him "GET BACK! AM GOING TO SEND A POWERFUL ATTACK AT THAT GREATER DEAMON!"

He took a offensive stance with his sword as he quickly collected energy from his body again into his hands and his blade. After a minute of powering up with an Aura of dark energy taking form over Seto's body and blade, He twirled his body and his blade in a three hundred and sixty degree circle

    Erupting Hurricane!

Out of the spining circle, came out a powerful wind of dark energy that took shape of a hurricane of his previous attack. The dark hurricane ripped through the air as his last attack as it went flying into the greater deamon, causing another roar from it. Using such energy, he fell back on his knee's, he had used a decent amount of energy in that last attack, at this rate an Abyss Cannon would most likely knock him out.

Many others in the same zone started to launch attacks at Azog, which was the hint that she was doing the right thing. Selecting a different spell from the menu, Sylpha marvelled at how an outside force took over her actions, completed the magic she would otherwise have no idea how to actually cast and fling it towards the big red target. It's relative ineffectiveness went by unnoticed.

Yeah, it wasn't as cool as what the others were doing, but she was here to see them do cool things, not do cool things herself. Therefore, her only hope was that she did not attract Azog's ire... or anyone in the same zone as her.
