Staring down at the neon city from where they stood silently, he remembered what Nellie had said earlier about the city that never slept, New York reminded him again about Tokyo for that city rarly slept either but than again he didn't livein Tokyo although he could haved visit whenever he wanted like he had in the past with Michiko. Oyama, his home town in Shizuoka was far different than Tokyo. Oyama was a large town and had it's own fair of neon lights itself but at the foothills of the great mountain of Japan, the city for the most part went to sleep besides the many expressways leading into and out of the city. Out in Oyama, one could witness the stars and gaze upon them as much as they liked without interupption. By the tone of her voice and the feeling of Nellie's head rubbing agianst his shoulder, he gently released his hand from hers and wrapped his arm around her, reeling her inwards agianst his shoulder completely, allowing her head to rest agianst his. The two were awfully close but this was normal for them he thought? the first day they met, Nellie playing as Alia ended up sleeping on top of him, If that didn't scream close enough than he had no idea what did. Romance hadn't been on his mind for a few years now but now, how could he? he had gone through so much and was given little time to recover, it didn't help either he was always near women that held interest in him.

These last few months however spending time with Alia and Nellie had changed him, maybe fixed those cracks he gain after those horrible events? He really couldn't tell but one thing he did know was that Nellie was different from most other women he met and by how she acted around him, he could also tell she felt the same as him. He wasn't sure how or If Nellie could handle being in the shadow of Michiko and Satoya and a few other, god his romantic life was too damm complicated, he sometimes wished he was someone else entirely. Still holding her head, he tightly held her close as he spoke to in a low voice, "It's ok, I understand, I know how you feel even If your not sure how to express it or say it, It's ok I understand Nellie." He contiuned to hold her tightly, he didn't want to let go of her. It had taken a moment for the whole event to seep into his mind for him to realize they were having a moment! Well he would say he wasn't expecting that but considering he was holding her hand since they got here, it was only to be a matter of time before something happened right? They two stood in silence for a mere moments as he collected the thoughts in his mind, he need to figure what he had wanted to do or say to Nellie next, he was sure what he had just said to her probably confused her or have made her speechless, not knowing what to say. He didn't want to confuse her anymore than he had already but there was something he had to do, he had to confirm what he already knew for his own sanity sake. Taking his arms off Nellie, he turned his entire body to face Nellie, he stared into her eyes with his own as if he was staring into her very soul to read it. He pulled her close until there were only a mere five inches away from each other lips, he wrapped his arms around her again as if he was hugging her, he spoke to her again in his quiet, soft tone, "Nellie....my beautiful Ice Queen, Close your eyes." He gave her a few moments to close her eyes or to prepare herself. Letting out a small sigh, slowly he closed the distance between the two, landing his lips on hers, his tongue went forward, breeching the inside of her mouth, he twisted his tongue agianst her's in a series of "Tag".

The next moments that came next was a series of internal feeling he hadn't felt in some years....It's was a surprising to him in a way, there wern't any words to really describe the emotions that were running through his mind, Joy? happiness? Sorrow? He felt happy he found the joy of finding someone like him that shared his own feelings but there was still a small part of him that nudged at him, reminding him of Satoya....but she was dead, he would remember her and keep her legacy alive but he also knew he couldn't let her death effect him forever, besides he already knew she would of told him to move on with his own life. Than of course there was Michiko, the woman he ran out on since he wanted to make his own decisions in his own life, despite still being the best of friends and being business partners, even though she would never it have in her to say it to him, he knew she had never forgiven him what he did and he knew it stilled heavily affected her to this day that she refused to marry any man. He wasn't going to allow those fact that came with memories of the past to bother him, right now it was him and Nellie and he was going to enjoy his long, passionate kiss with her. It became clear he didn't want this moment to end, Kissing Nellie felt different from kissing any other woman he had kissed pior, even from Satoya, Nellie must of been special he assumed.

After It felt like time had stopped, he finally pulled his lips away from Nellie's but he wasn't done staring into her soul through her beautiful purple eyes. He held her tight before he gathered the will to finall speak in his usual serious tone, " After you turn eighteen and after your graduation from your highschool, I want you to return to me....In Japan, in Oyama......and live with me possibly as my future wife....If that's something you want. I will do my best to make you feel at home there, I will help you to understand our culture and our way of life, I will help you continue your education and find something you enjoy doing for a living, best of all you have me and maybe in the future, Little Ice Princesses running around....I find you special Nellie and I don't want your life being decided by your parents." Ryosuke went silent for a moment, hesitating, not knowing what to say at first, everythin he had just said was impulsive but he still meant word he had said to Nellie, he hoped she believed him as well.....otherwise it be awkward for the both of them for the next few minutes and the rest of the evening. Gaining the will to speak again, he spoke as before, "Nellia......I have only known you now for a few months now yet I feel as close to you as I was with Satoya and Michiko and I know that couldn't have been just a coincidence. I know that girl under that mask you must put on every day and I have loved that woman ever since we spend the night sleeping in that fox hole all that time ago. I don't want you to ever put that mask on ever again even If your not with me."

Nellie couldn't help but sigh happily a bit as he pulled her in closer after dropping her hand. He was strong she could feel it in him. He was gentle too and she liked that. She looked up at the stars and then down at the city lights below. Then back up at the stars once more. It was peaceful up here and how no one had managed to build a house or something like that close the top where they were now was beyond her. If she could have she likely would live up here in a small little home just so that she could be away from the busy. Smiling as she saw buding romances and all that happening at a distance. Still she liked that no one was here and it was a place that blooming romances could get closer and all that stuff. Granted it was so peaceful up here that to ruin it with anything like that was just silly. No one in her family understood her need for the calm and quiet but Ryosuke did. So maybe that's why the butterflies were there and yet why it felt so right to be up here with him.

She must have been thinking loudly. But Ryosuke understood her feelings towards him. Even though she couldn't express it or say it. She wasn't sure how to do either of those things. Romance was not something that she had time to think about on most days but with him she thought about it. With him she was okay even if she was in the shadow of the woman that had come before her. She was okay with that. Completely okay with it because she could logic her way through it. She took a breath and smiled leaning in as close as possible. She would figure it all out she always did. And the silence and actions spoke loudly and that was a good thing in her mind. His arm moved and she was about to say something to his words when he turned his entire body to face her causing her to look up at him. He was hugging her now from the front. She did as he said closing her eyes not really sure why but this was her trusting him. Then all of the sudden he was kissing her and she didn't hestitate in kissing him back. Though for a split second her mind went to the fact that she was supposed to slap someone who did such a thing but the fireworks were going off in her head and she didn't want it to stop.

Her tongue at first tentatively danced with his and the fireworks only exploded more. She wasn't sure what she was feeling but she liked it. She felt like she was lighter than air like nothing mattered but what was happenign right there in that moment and then it stopped and it took a second for her to open her eyes back up again and stare into his like he was doing into hers. She finally blinked and then she listened to his words as he began to speak them her mind in a way clear and yet she was all a buzz. He went silent after he spoke at first. The words rolling into her head and her mind simply screaming that it would be amazing to live in Japan and to have someone there to come home too. To have someone other than her brothers to come home too. To actually be on her own without having to wear a mask. Then just as she was to say something he spoke again.

She finally spoke after his last words a smile a geniune smile. One that was new found one that was meant for him. "I would love nothing more then to never have to wear one. I actually graduated highschool but i graduated at 17 instead of at 18 and I turned 18 a few weeks ago. My mother wanted me to not think about college for a year because she wanted me at home for the boys it meant that she could do other things. Not that i'm not the one that's been raising the two to begin with. But she wanted to coach me on all the things that i needed to remember to do so that i could get a degree even though the money the family has made should not having me need too and the man i marry not having me need too." In other words they wanted her fully available to do all the things that would get her a suitor is what it was. Not that there werent already a line of them. All she wanted right now was the one that was standing in front of her because she didn't see him as a suitor she saw him as person as someone that her mind filled with joy and her stomach with butterflies every time she thought of him and that kiss had sent fireworks all through her and she still had not come down from that.

She did look down at the governor's house and shook her head. Probably another half hour maybe and then they would have to be back down there but she would be on his arm and that was all that she needed. simple things there were only simply things that she needed.

He felt reliefed when he saw her geniune smile, she understood him and his words and from that smile he had never seen before from her, he could tell she was happy, perhaps the happiest she had ever been in her life knowing she could do what she loved and would never have to wear a mask ever again, not even infront of her parents, he wouldn't allow such a thing anyway since he understood her pain. He didn't want her to goto the same pain as he did but If they were going to be together, she had to knew her relationship with her parents would become strained even If they accepted him as her future husband. He knew that pain all too well since his relationship with his mother was strained when he enlisted into the military to get out of his arranged marriage with Michiko. To this day, his relationship with his mother hasn't recovered and he could never see it ever recovering since his family could have controlled and owned a hospital, it didn't matter If he owned half of it with Michiko, that wasn't goo enough for his mother, no, she wanted the entire thing. To this day, he'd never understand why his father fell in love with such a greedy woman, at least he had his father on his side. He wasn't the best parent himself but at least he had always supported him in what he did and allowed him to do what he wanted with his life within reason. He was surprised by all the fighting his parents did over him, they never got divorced despite how divorced worked in Japan.​

"Nellie....Am glad you think that way but.....Are you sure you want to be Mrs.Hiroka, my wife? You know what will happen with your family right? Even if they accept me, I doubt they would accept someone like me when they had.......other plans to sell you off. I don't know your relationship with your brothers but I can tell there important to you. You being with me may hinder your relationship with them and undoubtly with your parents, I know this since my mother still hasn't forgiven me when I did nearly ten years ago. Despite being successful and having more wealth than I could do with, it still wasn't good enoughand franky.....I highly doubt our relationship will ever recover. At least my father understands and allows me to do what I want with my life within reason. As Mrs.Hiroka, this will most likely happen you as well but it may turn out worse for you, can you accept that in exchange for freedom, happiness and love?"​

He looked the other way away from Alia for a minute after he finished talking, he had said far more than he had orginally wanted to but it was important nonetheless to him and her especially. She needed to figure out If she was willing to accept the conquences of the actions she could take to be happy with him. He knew it wasn't an easy decision, it wasn't easy for him ten years ago but he learned over these years that were would always be conquences to one's decisions, even the simplist of ones, he wanted to know what she would pick, Freedom, Happiness and Love with him or Secruity and sacrfice for her family? He knew she wouldn't just abandon her brothers since she didn't want them to have the same fate as her If she had never met Ryosuke months pior, It would definitely be a hard decision, he just hoped it wouldn't destroy her mentally. Looking back towards Alia, he held her tightly in her arms, not wanting to let go.

"Whatever decision you make Nellie, I will never hold it agianst you, I understand what you must do if you choose agianst being with me. I will understand if you seek to stay by your brother's side to help them so they don't suffer a similar fate where there controlled by your parents, Self sacrfice ia an honorable trait not found in many, even I don't have it, I chose to ran away instead of honoring my families agreement, Iv'e known Michiko since I was a child and yet instead of being honor bound, I chose to break her heart and run away despite never taking her feeling into consideration. My decision broke a woman's heart and her mind for now she's a formaer shell of her former shell, I brought dishonour to her, her family and my own for my own happiness, I don't know if you can walk a similar path as me, only you can answer that Nellie. If you choose to be with me, I will ask for your parent's permission and court you like a gentlemen should and I will give your parents wealth and connections to sweeten the deal beacuse I know people like that care more about such things than pure happiness of others. You could also....."

He hesitated for a moment before speaking, he didn't think she would ever do what he would suggest next but he thought he would say it anyway, he knew he probably wouldn't do it either.

"Of course elope with me and return to the land of the rising land but that is........an extreme action. I wouldn't hold that agianst you either If you wish, after all you are of age now, an adult under the law and therfor you are allowed to make your own decisions whether your parents like it or not. Whatever you decide I will help you either way, Education is important but you don't need to get it here if you don't wish it, Japan has many worth while Colleges for people with talents or even If you wanted to, you could even fill a role similar to what Satoya did in the world, the world is endless, it's what you make of it with it's opportunities that come out of it."

Nellie looked at him still with a smile and when he looked away after he spoke his first set of words. She actually had weighed out pros and cons of persuing her own happiness since the day she had met him in game as Alia. It had taken some time and many talks with thos at home that were there doing the things that her parents didn't want her doing and things she had learned to do some of them anyways. Like cooking and learning how to sew. Learning about cars even though she couldn't drive one because it was against the rules for her. There were many Roles out there in life and some didn't want to prescribe in detail to all of them. And she was one of them. She was supposed to be a dainty flower and a good daughter and do as her parents said. But she was no dainty flower. She prefered to rough house with her brothers and practice her sword skills and anything that came into her fancy. She wanted to help others not hinder them and she didn't want to sit there and be greedy like both of her parents wanted to be and in this she had raised her brother practically to be the same but they were pranksters and so she had taken the heat for many of the things that they had done as the duty of being the older sister. And yet the relationship she had with them she was sure would never change.

They had already asked about her playing the game and more. They were small now but they did actually get what she was doing. She gave them credit when it was due. So when they had been spying on them earlier she knew what the little ones were likely thinking too. They wanted to see there sissy happy and they usually knew when she was lying and though she never actually lied to them they knew the mask that she put on when it came to their parents. Everything weighed on her mind but when she had turned eighteen she had started to do the things that she knew her parents were going to be upset with her about. As a matter of fact her mother had been yelling at her for most of the trip to get their gowns. Calling her words she had never heard out of her mother. And the reason for this was because Alia had literally taken paperwork to the courts to get full custody of her brothers. She could prove to that her parents weren't fit but she couldn't yet prove that she was the one that was better off but there were enough witnesses to the point that the court had sent her a letter back and a number of other things had transpired. Much to her surprise her father was not the one that was upset by this.

It was one of those things that she was pretty sure that her father knew that his baby girl was slipping through his fingers and that there wasn't much he was going to be able to do to keep his daughter his but perhaps get her into a relationship where she would have no c hoice. However, even that wasn't something he seemed to have complete control over and he wanted it. But he knew full well that he wouldn't be able to stand against his daughter in court for the boys. He knew full well that he was no parent. He had tired with his eldest and with his eldest wanting them when she had them most of the time well it wasn't like there was much he could do. Her mother on the other hand was so distraught with the thought that he dutiful daughter would do such a thing that she literally would have had Nellie in tears had it not been for the stylist actually saying something about it turning her mothers wrath on the stylist and away from her so she knew that relations with her mother would never be okay. And she knew that she would likely be called in a hush tone a whore when it came to trying to choose her own suitor and not from the pool that either of her parents wanted her too.

She was sure that a decision to go with Ryosuke would throw her father for a loop but that he would be okay because he woiuld get something out of it as Ryosuke was saying right now. and she did rather like the way her name sounded with Ryosuke's last name with it. So after he was done talking to him she turned to look at him and it wasn't a mask she put on but it was her own duty and her willingness to do a duty to herself which she had only done a few times in her life. It took her a moment to square her shoulders and look at him with the look of a young woman and not of a kid. Of someone who had been making decisions since she was far younger than this. A deep breath and then a smile but also a tone of seriousness in it.

"my relationship with my parents is changing as it is. At eighteen I have the choice of living at home or taking one of the smaller homes that get used by my parents from time to time. And of being on my own or of moving in with my betrothed. However, my parents figured I would stay at home because that was where i was most comfortable. I threw another little twist in the perfect lives. Or at least the ones that they want everyone thinking anyways." She took a moment. "I currently am doing the one thing that my mother is livid about already. My father i think is finally learning that his daughter is in a sense slipping through his fingers. I have paperwork with the courts to get custody of my brothers. My brothers being old enough to at least read and ask what the concepts of such things are have pretty much told the people that have talked to them that they'd rather stay with me then with our parents. Our parents aren't very shall we say happy about this but my father isn't fighting it. The courts pretty much just have my mother to deal with. And since my father has given his blessing in a matter of words my mother is the one that needs working on and the boys have been trying." She took a breath. "So you can imagine how home life has been with them home lately." She shook her head.

"I'd rather be happy and responsible for my brothers and have the freedom of teaching them and struggling maybe just a little then of having to sit there and marry someone who doesn't understand me and doesn't care to understand me and just wants be because i'm a pretty face to havve on their arm. I'm a little to smart for some of the suitors that are on the list for my mother. I think she wants me to be some prima dona that makes my man look good and just by my presence gets him everything he needs. But most of the suitors i've even given a second too want me under their thumb and hate that i can turn the tables on them in matters of seconds." She shook her head. "I will take the strain in the relationship with my mother and father for happiness and and freedom and love. but my brothers do mean the world to me. and I want them with me. So if i have to fight tooth and nail for them I will. and they know I will. I am their lioness. their mama bear, because i've protected them." She smiled at him.

What happened next was something she never thought she'd so but she moved closer to him and kissed him like he had to her. "I'm willing to take the chance to have love and happiness and to do what i can to make the parents see that this is the best. because if i know my father he'd rather see my smile then look miserable. my mother would rather i be miserable but that's besides the point i think i could work on them both. strain and all." She smiled and looked up at him getting lost in his eyes. She wanted him. No one else had moved her as much as he had and she had never felt comfortable on this level with anyone other than him. She would take the struggles for the journey to happiness and for the love that she knew was there.

 

He was shocked by shat she said, he didn't realize how strongly she had felt by such the things she told him but it only proved in the end on what he already knew, that she had a will of fire that couldn't be extinguished by any means....well besides for him probably but why would he do such a thing? She initally cought him off guard when she came in closer and landed her lips on his, her tongue breeched his lips. There was no tag or hide in seek this time, this there was only full blown action as their tongue wrapped arounc each other,creating quite the show for the two. When she finally pulled away, Ryosuke chuckled a bit outloud when he remembered Nellie calling herself a "Lioness" from her statement that she was saying she was essentially her brother's mother in her own right.From what she told him, "Lioness" and "Ice Queen" stuck well as nicknames for Nellie since they displayed her personality quite well just like his own nickname,"Oyama's Black Wolve" displayed his personality well.
"Your their Lioness huh? Would you be my Lioness and Seto's than? Am sure he enjoy having a Lioness as well. I seem to have more luck with you than Seto does!" He said half jokingly, He still took her seriously but he thought a little humor in this tense conversation would help them greatly. He tone changed though to something slightly more serious as he gently pulled her head inwards to lay on his shoulder before laying his own head agianst hers.

"Nellie that is quite the responsibility you have taken up for the well being of your brothers which is commendable and honourable, that is something am not even entirely sure I could do If I was in your shoes. I understand your situation now and it's.....ok, am ok with it, your brothers can live with us, rooming isn't an issue. You understand though what will be required of you don't you? As much as I would want to help, I won't be able to to support you all the time due to my business and possible career in the near future, am not saying your not important, am not saying that at all beacuse you are important to me more than you know but I need to work to keep things afloat and to make the dreams of other's come true.There is also......the facts that your brothers would probably never see me as a father figure, am not sure what to make of that to be honest. I'll try my best to help you but ultimately they would be your responsibility when I can't be around, I don't mean to offend you but this will be....a challenge to say at the least. All three of you will have to become acustomed to Oyama and the general way of those who live in Japan, it will be not be an easy task for you nor your brothers. I don't know how much I can be around for and I know that sounds horrible but you have to be independent somewhat from me, you will definitely need to be able to drive where I live since I live in the mountains on a mountain pass, there is no public transportation where I live. I feel as if am a horrible person to you now but I don't know how to tell you anyway Nellie, Am sorry Nellie."

He didn't feel the greatest after telling her something like that even he agreed to take his brothers in as well, he just felt like an asshole for telling her what was on his mind but he also felt he also needed to tell her of the challenges she would need to endue, he knew she would tackle them head on and do whatever was requred for her brother's sake but how much would that take into their future time together? In a way it was like he was adopting children as his own but he wasn't? He tried not to think about it too much or else his head would start to pound but even still how could he think like that?! Thinking that way made him out to be some scumbag, maybe he was just a manwhore and he just didn't realize it or he simply rejected it. He held her tightly as he closed his eyes.

"I am....honoured your willing to take a change on become my wife, to be Mrs.Hiroka. Later tonight after I speak to the Governor about our business, I will speak to your father about courting you and making you my wife, I WILL make my intentions clear to him and I will pay our with my wealth and connections If need be, If a deal cannot be broken.....well than I guess we would have to do the unhonorable thing and elope or simply leave with me and return later for your brothers. Am not sure I can help you in court however, I do not know the United States laws as well as you do nor do I know any good, honorable lawyers over here. I wish I could be of more help but I don't know If I can do anything in my capacity but I'll try."

He went quiet for a moment after he cleared his throat, he wanted to change the subject to something a bit more positive or maybe positve just in general really. Opening his eyes, he looked down towards the manor's down the hills including the Governor's manor, the party was really going by this point "So much for a civilized party" he thought to himself as he could make out a few gentlement outside in the west side of the courtyard being idiots, they were clearly drunk to some degree, he just could tell by this distance. He looked back to Nellie and stared into her before gently kissing her on the cheeck

"Maybe when your settled in with me back home, you could become a Shrine Priestess like the rest of the Shinto Priestesses and help take care of a shrine. I know all the girls there quite well since the Shrine next to my house and I let them use my Dojo for archery." He rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand as he laughed a little "Although most people I live near think I know them TOO well, now much I can do about it!"
