Claire's eyes widened as people were leaving. The rational part of her mind realized that it was because the bridge they were on was beginning to crumble as the sea of lava rose around them, but that was no excuse! People were leaving her, they were going away, dashing for safety to climb the spires where even more fire creatures had emerged.

No, no, no, this couldn't be happening. Claire dashed after the nearest person she saw going, she couldn't let them out of her sight. As she hauled herself up the spire, she saw the monsters staring at her, sitting impassively. One in particular was wider and larger than the others, so it must be taking up more space.

'Space that other people could have stood on,' she thought, reeling at the unimaginable horror of being separated from the others. No, she couldn't allow that to happen.

Summoning up a burst of magic, Claire leapt for the Archon, water and ice swirling around her polearm in a deadly spiral. A single lunge fueled by desperation was enough, and the beast howled as it crumbled.

There. Now more people could join them. She wouldn't be alone, she wouldn't be left behind. Things would be fine. Just fine.

As she let her arms fall, no longer shielding her eyes from the wave of shot her way, she came to see multiple others who had joined her upon the spire. "H-hey." She gave a weak wave to @Lucia Mierz and @Kohaku, before noticing @Verity fallen at her feet. Stepping over and past him, she reached her right hand back to help him up, while her eyes and left hand pointed towards the creature.

Standing on weak legs, the monster was obviously on it's last legs. Briefly entering investigation mode, Eleanor observed that it was on the verge of death. Suddenly, @Claire Thalassa had arrived, finishing it off in a rather spectacular manner. "Hey, Claire. Good to see you again!" The woman in blue smiled, sweat running down her forehead. It took her a moment to realize she still had her hand out, arcane energies swirling around. The attack was about to be released, and it was still pointed at where the archon had been, now Claire.

"Ehh!!" Quickly moving her hand towards the giant, flaming beacon of a foe, the spark sputtered off, weakly splattering against the back of the enemy. Embarrassed, she rubbed the back of her neck, bringing her hand back, as pain twinged through the joints of her fingers. Awkwardly, she figured introductions were necessary when... They probably weren't. greeting those around her again, she smiled and waved to those she had not yet met, such as @Verity and @Kohaku. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Eleanor." She took off her hat, setting it on the ground beside herself, as it was quite too hot for the garment.

His mass stood its ground as the rumbling of the volcanic ruins began to act up, making it known that Azog was trying to kill everyone into the painful flames below. Noticing his position was closer to where @Ursa held up, the bearish cat dad lunged for the remaining debris, leaping from each surface to avoid getting swallowed up by the fiery death below. Most others seemed to be focused on the other zones regardless. This was where having an even distribution was going to be vital. Lava based raids always had the issue of the thing called lava to hamper a party's resistances.

Sweat bean to stream down his being. His endurance had taken a hit, but not quite enough to full on take the man out of the game. Of course, after this whole Fire Prince mess he was going to be out of it for a while. Enemies were in his line of site as the man charged. Alonso refused to fail again. Targeting the Volcanic Maiden, the Felis clasped both hands together, eyes narrowed with a snarl as he put his full weight into the hammering blow. Now or never at the cost of his guard. A battle cry echoed from the brawler as his attack bore into the fire loving lady.

In turn, the man was blasted with a strong blaze. He stumbled back, rage building within his battered semblance of a being. A hulking mass who did not go down easy. Oh, Alonso was going to make all of them pay for the insanity that transpired this day.

Seeing as her spot was starting to crumble, Harveste looked all around to find a good place to escape. She wanted to thank the one that healed her, but opted to do so at a later time, instead jumping to the best of her ability with the help of her Rogue skill, going from a zone that was falling to pieces to a much more stable area- albeit an area with fire creatures now running amok.

She knew well she couldn't fight all that well. Running behind a rather bulky looking man, she called out to him. "I'll give you a power up, so please, do your best!" Not that she expected any less of the stranger, but as she sent a buff his way, she could only pray he'd find it helpful. "I'm not very strong even in magic...But I can do this much!"

Elysian tried not to panic as lava began swallowing the crumbling bridge she was perched upon. With quick feet she tried not to stumble as she ran and lunged for a safe section. Thankfully she made it only to be faced with two new enemies. They weren't as threatening as the giant boss but they still posed a threat. Others were already attacking so she joined in. Taking her bow from her back she strung yet another arrow and aimed carefully. Yet just as she was releasing the ground beneath her shook, making her lose her balance momentarily and instead of the arrow striking her foe it flew off into the distant lava.

"Uhhh...." She stammered and quickly took cover behind a pile of crumbling rocks. Hopefully her rogue skill would keep her hidden. At least until she could attack again.

As the bridges crumbles and fall into the lava beneath, Corvella runs and jumps from remaining platform to platform, escaped just in time before she falls into fiery death. Landed on position with other fighters, she spotted two enemies nearby. One hole faced like she fought before, but noticeably smaller.

Then her attention turned into the fiery woman foe, blasting @Alonso Thorlion with stream of blaze. That one looked much dangerous with the destructing power it has, so she decided to deal with it first. With the creature's attention still on the others, Corvella leaps and tries to lunge her sword into the woman-looking figure, but her armor's clanking gives her position away. It resulted in the Volcanic Maiden to dodge to the left, only getting a scratch to the arm. Enraged, she shoots a wild fireball from the other arm to exposed Corvella, throwing her backwards. She grunted in pain, trying to recover herself from the attack. Good thing her armor absorbed most of the attack.

Alpha looked over to find a myriad of characters slowly trickling in around her. It was a pleasant sight and she sighed in relief, bringing up her palm to face the burliest man she had found. Surely he had to be pretty strong, right? With a breath, she craned her head to the side and addressed him but found herself noticing a similarity in appearances between this man and a man she had met before (she couldn't remember his face but she remembered the man who had participated with her in the Arena to have a blue color scheme and a muscular physique).

"Don't I know you from somewhere?" she muttered before shaking her head. Those thoughts could come later and, right now, she had to make sure that she'd get all those cool loot stuffs from defeating 'Big, Fat, and Ugly' up there. "Okay, just go out and kill 'em all, tiger! If you do a good job and I end up getting some bunny slippers or something, I'll reward you with some Honeyed Clams at Druuk Island!" she cheered him on encouragingly as she her fingers began to tingle and she left the man with renewed vigor.

_____Things had gone from ok, to much much worse then ok. Everything was going crazy and Lucia was now to far away from Alice she could not help her dearest friend. Thankfully she was already in a decent spot to not swim in any lava, the idea comforting her as she turned to those she was with, some she had no clue who they had been and others she slightly recalled. Waving her Ui to pen another healing spell before doing her best to recover the most injured of the group.

”I’ll do my best to heal everyone here… Just give a shout if you need it and I'll try to get around to healing you when I can…”

_____Her voice was weak and likely not heard by most but as she moved to the back line and kept her hands at the ready she seemed to clearly display she was going to focus on supporting the group.

Oh boy, time to go, time to go! Ash leapt off the crumbling bridge beneath her, landing on some rocks that were thankfully still sturdy enough. Looking wildly around for any free space, she saw the spires that once obscured people's visions of Azog in the center. People were climbing up them though she could also see flaming monsters at the top. Ooh boy. This didn't look like fun.

But there wasn't anything else for it. The spire she aimed for was getting crowded so they'd have to shove the monsters out of the way. All right then.

Struggling up to the top, Ash barely made it in time to see some people land some hits on the creatures. She remembered seeing @Ursa earlier in the fight, and it seemed as though the woman could pack a punch. Well, time to help her out with that again. The sooner they brought down all the monsters, the better.

Ash began her casting again. A bit out of breath from the climb, her chanting was a bit more difficult to understand than usual and the stream of energy going to Ursa was less empowering than she had hoped. Still, it was something.

Gwyn was getting incredibly tired of the sheer amount of fucking lava, if she were being honest and upfront about her feelings. That was one of those self-care and mental health things, right? Being true to yourself and your emotions to better understand where you are in life and all that jazz. Where she was in life, as much of one as she could call her halfhearted presence in a virtual reality video game, was currently running like a bat out of hell away from the crumbling rock and volcanic glass ground giving way to a veritable ocean of lava. She was going north, demons or not, after this and finding the first pile of white snow to throw herself in. There would be snow angels. Snowball fights. Snowwomen would be built. She'd go fucking skiing. Anything to make her feel like she wasn't a piece of dried jerky like she did at present.

Taking to the spire with the others took little effort and absolutely no pause. On the brighter side of things, always with the silver-linings in the middle of the shit storm after all, neither of the summons on this particular spire were Kindlings. Those tanky little fucks were going to be a constant thorn in her side. She could feel it already.

With a huff and a wheezed breath from the heat pouring off the Archon, Gwyn joined in the attack made by the oddly infuriated tinkerer. She understood being annoyed at the whole thing and disgusted by a few key features, but the screaming really wasn't necessary. She barely paid attention as two gleaming arrows fucking obliterated the Pyromancy Archor. The archer was a little distracted wondering if the woman needed a drink badder than her. Getting close enough, even ranged, to attack the damn thing was parching... but all that yelling between the heat and ash must be playing hell on her throat.

It was getting hard to breathe, the air felt thick and she was so thirsty she felt like she could drink an entire lake of water. Her hands were sweaty as she gripped her bow but she knew there was no giving up. She decided to accept this invitation and she would fight until the end. After taking a few breaths of whatever oxygen she could the Felis stepped out from her cover and pulled back her bow for another attack. Hopefully she wouldn't miss this time. She couldn't miss this time.

Elysian released her arrow and watched with a grin as it sunk deep into her enemy. She was sure it didn't do much damage but even a little was better than nothing.

Being on fire fucking SUCKED, but in all the excitement to escape the collapsing bridge, Temperance had not realized that parts of her clothing were smouldering and that she was being harmed! It was hard to tell you were on fire when the air itself felt like it was burning and baking, but as she tossed her cloak to the side and started to beat out her own flames, others from the bridge began to surround her in a large group. They took the fight to all the nasty creatures, so she played her part and began to wave her hands in the air. It was difficult to conjure up anything cold with all the heat around, but after a moment she got a small blizzard going. The blizzard was immediately melted into rain of course, well, more like slushy hail! As it splattered across the spire, the flames on her clothing and that of other people were snuffed right out. It also provided a tingly fresh feeling as a welcome relief from the heat!

“GUUUUH, GET OUT, OOOOOUT!” Ursa snarled as her steam suit’s drill sunk deeper and deeper in the Pyromancy Archon’s flesh. With each inch that Ursa managed to push, the more the monster assaulted the tinker blacksmith with flames and roars. At some point, the creature managed to regain its footing and push Ursa and her steam suit back

As the Tinkerer retreated, though, two arrows literally obliterated the pyromancy Archon, barely leaving anything recognizable of the monster’s previous form. Ursa’s only reaction was an audible whistle and a thumbs up of her tinker-suit’s large gauntlets. As ursula commended @Gwyn’s work, however, she noticed that the volcanic maiden had all of her attention locked towards @Corvella . Willing to make use of this chance, Ursula pointed both of her suit’s large gauntlets toward the monster.

On the suit’s back, the steam engine hissed as it started turning all gears at max capability — even more so as @Ashiore Evretto 's buff increased their efficiency. Both gauntlets rotated at high speeds as she charged more and more energy into them before she finally let go of the trigger mechanism; both gauntlets were launched like rockets aiming for the volcanic maiden. The mechanical fists packed enough force to release a loud and vicious cracking sound upon impact while the enemy was blown away from zone seven from so much force on both punches. The gauntlets were reeled in back by large and flexible metal cables and connected back to the suit with a satisfying "clang".

    Twin Rocket Punches

Before that happened, however, the hellish maiden still managed to hurl a fireball at Ursa and turned the blacksmith into a toasty little gold bear. Ursa fell to the ground with a loud thud thanks to suit’s weight. She’d need to take a quick break after being roasted alive like that.

The rain was certainly welcome. Not wasting a second, Aporia set out all of the empty jars that she had amassed so far to collect the falling water. Sure enough, she felt it getting humider as she wiped her sweating forehead with one of her baggy sleeves. This was probably going to be a long battle, though she really, really hoped it wouldn't. She couldn't imagine how anyone thought that this would qualify for prime-time entertainment. This was pure torture....

    Are these people masochists...?

Huffing and doing her best to not pass out, Aporia stayed put and continued running her stall behind ample cover...

The archer moved around the others gathered on the spire as she wove through to find a prime sniper's nest of sorts. The choices were rather limited. Further back on the big stone spire, further up on the big stone spire, a little to the left on the big stone spire, a little to the right on the big stone spire, and if she was feeling a little ballsy... dead in the middle of the big stone spire. How scandalous. All in all, not a lot to work with.

At least she had her height advantage on the field that soothed a bit of her wariness. Most rangers didn't do well cornered with a bunch of people that could be stupid and put their dumb heads or meaty backs right in the way of an arrow in flight. Luckily her current group was a majority of people who would be staying out of her way. The burly Felis, the pleasant Tank, and the odd Human she had some experience with. All three she had run into on previous quests, though despite the time spent in @Beretta's company she likely knew her the least. No matter, really. All were hands on and up close. They wouldn't be playing part in her shooting gallery as she lined up a strike on the massive Prince.

Gwyn tried her best to keep an eye on their gaggle of supporting players, however. There wasn't a lot of room, even with the summons slain, and she was unnerved by how little room to maneuver they had. Not to mention... if that elemental decided to sweep his sword around? He could easily shatter a spire and send them all into the stew of bubbling magma below. Hopefully they could all keep fair footing. Hopefully they could all finish the fight without learning what it felt like to burn alive. She imagined the pain would quickly dull into nothingness at least as the extreme heat at away nerve endings. Can't feel the pain of burning alive if half your nervous system is burnt out and your body goes into shock, numbing your conscious mind from the experience entirely. There were probably worse ways to go. Probably.

For now, she'd focus back on Azog himself with another flurry of imbued arrows, though now lacking the extra power behind them. It seemed @Ursa had turned her eyes to the Volcanic Maiden to finish off that particular blight on the battlefield in a masterful show of vengeance.
