  1. Alpha smiled at the girl next to her as Terry, her little wolf, tried to cuddle and kiss the woman. Nalani hadn't been there when she had gotten Terry; she had apologized that she couldn't make it to the meeting between her, Alpha, and Aaron. That had been enough leverage for Alpha to rope the girl into going on this adventure with her. Terry had been starving for a bit and, unfortunately, Alpha didn't have the physical skill to hunt down a decent meal for the wolf. With Nalani, however, she hoped that she could catch something with an extra hand.

"How you feeling?" Alpha asked, happily looking at her partner with thinly veiled interest. "I heard Dunnstads had a bunch of birds and fish, I'm sure we can find something for Terry to eat here!" she smiled, gesturing to the happy pup.

Terry merely ran circles around the two, barking with slobber running down his muzzle. Despite his size, Terry seemed to be nothing more than a little puppy at heart. "Aww, you're a good boy, yes you are!" Alpha cooed at the pup, giving him a rough nudge and ruffled his head. She then turned to face Nalani. "I'm ready when you are!"

  2. Laughing loudly at the affection the little dire wolf was showing her, Nalani gently patted the creature that was absolutely loving on her to no end. Honestly? Life had gotten the better of Faye, and she had found herself quickly absorbed by work when she said she would meet up with Alpha and Aaron. After apologizing to the two multiple times {It's in her Canadian blood, after all} she promised them both that she 'owed them', and when Alpha brought up that she needed some help getting some food for her new companion, the Felis was more than happy to oblige. Besides, she needed to practice and learn a little from her anyways, for how own Beast Taming skills. The only thing she had right now that was even close was her little Mystery Egg, which she liked to care in her arms.

She turned her attention towards Alpha as the girl asked her question, gently pushing the dire wolf aside to pet the little egg sitting in her lap as she smiled at her friends, "Honestly, just ready to get your little pup some food.
" she answered, laughing as she watched Terry dance around, but as soon as Alpha announced that she was ready, Nalani jumped to her feet as well. She needed to get out more, adventure a little, and most of all: Enjoy her time with friends.

    "I'm ready, let's get started~"

    {BAD POST BUT LETS GO}

  3. Alpha jumped in optimism, quickly grabbing Nalani's hand into her own. She looked at the Felis with bright, shining eyes. "Oooh," she cooed, rubbing a finger at the egg. "You have one too! How close is it to hatching?"

Before Alpha could even get an answer, she reached into her satchel and took out a smaller egg, beaming with pride as she showed it off to her friend. Terry bit on Alpha's pant leg and tried to drag her to the coast but to no avail. "This little guy is gonna be named Hecate when he hatches! Maybe he'd be friends with yours too!" she grinned enthusiastically.

"Anyways," she promptly put the egg back in her bag and clasped onto Nalani's hand once again. Terry gave a pitiful whine and Alpha gave him a small pat on the back with her foot. "We should go now!" she pulled Nalani's hand along, attempting to get the lady to budge from the start. Her eyes gleamed with wild expectations and fantasy. She released one of her hands from the iron grip on the orange-haired girl to point to the pier up ahead.

"We're gonna go fishing along the shoreline with our hands and stuff! Let's go, Terry gets a bit grumpy when he's hungry." And, as if to accentuate her point, Terry gave out a loud bark. "Let's go!"

  4. Nalani blinked in surprise but smiled at her younger friends energy, laughing softly. 'Hecate', what a nice name! She hadn't even thought about what she was going to name her little pet yet, or even know what it was going to be when it hatched. She had decided that, once it came to that time, she would choose then, "Of course they'll be friends!~ As long as one doesn't want to, y'know, eat the other." She said jokingly, not meaning to sound overly dark and honestly making a little joke, holding the egg up to her cheek and giving it a soft rub. She was actually quite excited to have a pet of her own, as her apartment in real life didn't allow pets. Virtual reality video game perks, right?

She blinked at her friends once again as her hand was taken, stuffing her egg away as she did so, only to have the other taken as well. And here she went, as Alpha usually did, pulling Nalani along with excitement to wherever she wanted to go. Her lips split into a grin at her excitement, feeling a youthful energy burn in her chest as she watched her. Ah, to be young and innocent. But who even knew if she was this young irl? That would be... Entirely strange, but honestly, pretty impressive.

"Okay, yah, fishing it is." she replied, allowing herself to be pulled ahead with her towards the pier. She wondered a little about how they were going to catch the fish, but she decided she wouldn't let a trival thing like that stop her from actually catching a fish. This was a video game, for goodness sakes, they could catch a fish whatever way they wanted!... Even though having some poles would be nice. Alpha had mentioned her hands, but even that seemed to be a little daunting.

Upon arriving near the water, she cocked her head to the side before looking at her friend, "Are you sure we won't accidentally grab something that's gonna hurt us?" she asked, just for precaution. She liked to think about these things before she actually got into the situation- Helped deal with problems that came along later.

  5. Alpha laughed at Nalani's worry, giving her a pat on the back (well, as far as she could reach anyway with her abnormally small, hobbit-like size) and a reassuring grin. "The fishes warm up to me, I guess! I feel kind of bad since they're just so sweet and trusting but, well, Terry's gotta eat!"

Unless something like a shark settles down in the stream, something which Alpha highly doubted would happen, then this tiny adventure of theirs should go pretty smoothly and be lots of fun! Terry barked impatiently, not willing to put up with more chatter when he could be eating a feast of seafood instead. Alpha pulled him into a gentle, calming hug. "We're going Terry," she laughed as his tail wagged and drool dripped from his loose tongue. "No need to rush us! We're gonna get you some fish right now!"

Then a spear materialized in front of her, a long, weak thing that would be considered barely noticeable in terms of weapon strength and quality. It was good enough for hunting fish at least. It seems a spark was lit as she grabbed it and jumped up high, waving it around haphazardly.

"Let's go Nalani!" she urged before turning around, eyeing the stream for the running salmon. Terry laid down, his tail thumping on the floor and hunger in his eyes.

  6. Thats right. Fish may not be beasts, but they were still animals. With both the girls having skills that had to do with Beast Taming, the fish should almost slide right into their hands. And their doom, but they wouldn't know that until they were well into the dingos' tummy. She smiled and nodded at her enthusiasm, deciding to trust the girl for the time being as she watched the sheer glee she and her pet shared. She really needed to up her skill and get a beast of her own. Obviously not now, but definitely soon. She also had to up her other skills as well... Wow, I really haven't been paying attention that much, have I? More like she was just getting situated.

When the spear spawned into her hand, she felt her heart sink a little. She had yet to really obtain any weapons yet except for the stingy one they gave at the beginning, which was hardly nothing, and she definitely did not have a spear nor did she ever think she would need one until now. She smiled a kind of half hearted smile and nodded, raising a fist in the air, "Yah... Lets go~" she didn't sound 100% enthusiastic, but she tried, right? She turned her own gaze towards the stream, pink eyes aimed towards the water.

She could see glints of the sun hitting scales as fish curiously swam closer to her, but as soon as she leaned forward, they all swam away hurriedly, as if aware of her scheme. She furrowed her eyebrows together more before proceeding to pull off her cute little black shoes and socks, setting them to the side as she carefully stepped into the stream. The water was cold on her feet, but she kinda liked it, squishing her toes into the dirt below as she set herself still, pushing hair out of her face while looking around for a good fish to catch, "You see any big ones Alpha? All I can find are little ones over here." she called, watching as one inched closer, pink eyes dancing with focus.

  7. Alpha hid a frown upon hearing Nalani's less-than-enthusiastic cheer, the girl seeming to be a bit reserved after she had gotten her spear out. Was she shy with weapons? Alpha certainly knew that, the first time she entered the game, Merkaba's scythe had terrified the living daylight out of her. Hesitantly, she tried to concentrate on the stream of fish but, each time she tried to spear one of the running salmon, her aim failed her. She grumbled after she missed yet another fish, probably the fifth one in a row, by at least an entire feet. It was like the little critters were mocking her now.

She took a quick peek at Nalani, trying to see how she was doing but she wasn't doing too well either. The girl had her eyebrows furrowed and Alpha worried that she just wasn't having fun (then again, Alpha wasn't either with contemplation and concern for Nalani hanging right over her shoulder). Terry, as if sensing their mutual displeasure, gave a quick, demanding bark. Alpha couldn't help but smile; the dog had been trying, albeit poorly, to distract them.

Alpha put a finger over her lips, signalling for Terry to be quiet for a moment. Absently, she could hear Nalani asking her some sort of question but a glance at Nalani showed that the girl was still watching intently for a good fish to catch. Alpha muffled her giggles; she knew what would be the best thing to cheer them both up. She laid down her spear on one of the stones that littered the stream and put both her hands in the water. Then, after a few moments, an entire school of tiny minnows visited her. Alpha closed her eyes, waiting.

Then, what she had waited for came. A giant salmon, definitely the biggest of them all, began rubbing itself on her hand. She felt a bit bad for her plans for it but she shrugged the feelings away. With both hands, she hefted the fish above water, careful to keep it in her grip with its slippery scales and slimy coat. If she could just get this to Nalani's side, the girl would be so excited to find the perfect fish! Alpha grinned, unable to hold her excitement for the event. Nalani would love it!

Terry, however, couldn't hold in his gluttonous delight, pacing around anxiously and waiting for Alpha to give it to him for a quick munch. She, however, ignored him and walked passed him, slowly and nimbly making her way to Nalani's area and, when the coast was clear, quickly released the fish next to her.

"Nalani!" she cried in mock surprise. "Look, there's a huge fish there! Lucky!" Terry, meanwhile, didn't share the same enthusiasm and simply slumped over, lying back down with a mournful look in his eyes. He gave a grieving yowl.

  8. Nalani frowned gently as she touched her finger to the water, some of the smaller fishes inching closer as she did so, but none were big enough to feed Alpha's wolf. She hadn't heard back from her about her question, but she just took it as the other girl was focusing just as much as she was, so she honestly wasn't bothered much. It wasn't until she spoke up that she looked back at Alpha with a curious look, turning her gaze down below her.

Sitting right there, near her feet, was a gigantic salmon, staring up at her with it's beady little eyes as it just seemed to be in a trance. It was the last thing Nalani had expected, and her pink gaze quickly widened in surprise, scurrying to move away from the large creature. Unfortunately, that ended with her slipping on a rock she had yet to be aware was around, her feet flying out from under her as a loud squeal resounded through the air. It happened only in a few seconds though it seemed like slow motion for her as she fell into the water with a loud SPLASH. The water was shallow enough for her to be completely submerged, but enough for her to be completely soaked from head to toe and the bottom half of her bottom sitting in the water.

She was in a daze as she sat there, confused as to what just happened. Had she seriously got that frightened by a fish that she had fallen into the water? She blinked a couple times as if trying to make sense of the situation, before suddenly bursting into little giggles, raising her hands to her face and pushing some wet hair off her cheek, looking back towards Alpha with an embarrassed grin, "Yah, well, I totally did not mean for that to happen. Whoops~" before letting out yet another loud laugh.

Fortunately, the fish hadn't seemed to get frightened, maybe was even amused as it swam in a circle and then over to Nalani's body in the water. It took her only a couple seconds this time to scoop the big fish up, holding it as tight as she could in her hands as it thrashed about, obviously regretting its decision, "Caught it~" Boy, she was a mess.

  9. Alpha flinched as Nalani got coated in a splash of water and debris. The plan wasn't really going so well. She bit her lip nervously, not wanting to interfere while Terry gave a choked laugh at the failure. She sent a glare at him. Sometimes she wondered what she did to deserve such an annoying pup but, one more look at his puppy-dog eyes and cute muzzle reminded her why she kept him along. Nalani's giggles, however, reminded her where her attention should be as she looked back at the girl to see her with a huge grin. Alpha breathed a sigh in relief; at least she didn't totally mess up.

"Yah, well, I totally did not mean for that to happen. Whoops~"

Guilt won over and Alpha couldn't help but feel responsible for Nalani's obvious embarrassment over the event. "I'm sorry Nalani, it was my fau—" she tried to confess and apologize for her failure, face gloomy and down, before Nalani let out another loud laugh, shocking Alpha for a moment. "What?" she began but promptly shut her mouth upon seeing Nalani still fishing in the waters.

Alpha couldn't help but watch, eyes widened and admiration fluttered across her features. Despite such a moment, Nalani continued to look for the fish and Alpha felt really impressed and amazed by the internal strength of her companion. Finally, after a short moment, the blonde girl stood up with a fish in her hands flopping around. Alpha felt astonished and proud of having the woman as her friend.

"Amazing Nalani!" she cheered, eyes bright and previous predicament forgotten. "You're so cool and awesome and I'd never seen anyone catch a fish like you Nalani! You should be a fisherperson or something!" she continued on and on, spewing compliments and gestures of worship before the girl. "You're my idol!" Alpha finished, eye glinting.

Internally, Alpha cheered and whooped in victory. Nalani was so cool!

  10. The little girls delight was absolutely adorable. Nalani grinned at the praise, shoo-ing it off with her hand. She couldn't help but blush a little as a sense of pride flowed through her. It was awesome to have someone younger than you looking up to you, made you feel actually quite accomplished, actually! She patted the fish in her arms that was already well on it's way to death, before looking over at Terry and Alpha with the same wide grin, "It was nothing, honestly. The fishy was so amused by my theatrics, it didn't even try to swim away when I fell~" she giggled, moving to get out of the stream.

She stepped carefully back into the grass, still sopping wet, but first made her way over to Terry and set the big fish down in front of him, kneeling down to his height and gently running her hand over his head, "There yah go, boy~ A big meal for a big man." she cooed, before getting to her feet and turning to alpha, ringing out the edge of her shirt. Thankfully, the sun was beaming right down into the area her and Alpha were standing in, so she would dry soon enough, "Do we have to get any more for Terry? Some for later? We can even try grabbing some for ourselves and roasting them on a fire." she proposed, looking at Alpha with a curious look and at Terry.

It was whatever the two wanted to do, honestly. She was free and was getting kinda hungry, so if Alpha was up for grabbing some fish, they could. They could even head back to the village if they want and pick up some food from the tavern, or... Stepping closer to the stream and grabbing Alpha's arm as she did so, she suddenly pushed the younger girl into the water so that she too could get completely soaked, giggling was she did so, "And that's what you get for scaring the crap out of me."

It was the only explanation to why the big fish had been near her so suddenly, and why Alpha had pointed it out to her in the first place. The girl must have planted it beside her, which she didn't really mind. She had been a little suspicious about how sudden it had been at first, but had been too busy falling to really pay attention.

  11. Terry tore into the fish like a starved child who'd found a piece of gourmet chocolate coated in brownie fudge and caramel on Christmas Eve. Which is a nice way to say that there wasn't even the tiniest piece of bone or flesh left when he licked his paw to signify a job well done. It was an accomplishment that not many can boast about (eating raw fish in rickety split) and Alpha didn't know whether to feel proud or disgusted that the dog had basically swallowed their catch whole. She opted, instead, to ignore it to avoid the complicated question as to what to feel about the debacle.

She then turned her attention away from the content pup who decided to have a nice nap after his mid-time meal and gave Nalani her complete and total regard. "I don't think Terry'll need anymore," she gestured to the plump dog. He had his tongue lolling out, drool puddling underneath, and had a goofy smile on his face. She rolled her eyes, stifling a laugh at the pup. "But if you're hungry, we can catch something to eat!"

She watched curiously as Nalani took another step into the stream, wondering if the girl was going to catch some fish until, suddenly, a hand grabbed her arm and pulled her into the water with a splash. "Nalani!" Alpha spluttered, kicking up some water as her entire outfit got soaking wet and the surrounding water-life fled from the disturbance. Upon hearing Nalani's next words, however, Alpha simply groaned and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, embarrassed at being caught. "You got me," she laughed.

Then Alpha caught an average sized fish in corner of her eyes, swimming obliviously in the pool of water as if a large human had not just caused the water to ripple and splattered the river water all over. Quickly, with swift fingers and adept speed, she grabbed the streaming salmon with both of her hands and held it over her head victoriously. The fish was lifeless and limp in her arms, barely flopping as if it was too lazy and considered the act of struggling to be a bore.

"Let's go eat!" Alpha cheered, jumping up enthusiastically and bringing another wave of water splashing up. She skipped with the fish cradled in her arms and dropped it on Terry, eyes grinning. "It's time to teach you how to cook, boy!" she laughed. Sure, she knew that it'd be impossible to teach a dingo how to cook food (especially without thumbs) but this was a game, after all, and Terry was smarter than most (if not all) the dogs she had ever met before. She looked back behind her shoulder at Nalani, flashing her signature, confident smirk. "C'mon Nalani!"

    @Nalani Rosa

  12. It was Nalani's turn to cheer for her little friend as she too snatched a fish out of the water, giving her friend a wide grin, "Nice catch!" she exclaimed, watching her get to her feet while letting out a small 'oop', accidentally getting splashed by the water she brought up with her. She watched the second fish squirm around in her little hands and nodded in agreement at her exclamation to go eat, smiling and nodding in agreement, "Alright, lets go eat, just give me a moment to grab my stuff and I'll catch up~"

Moving over to pull on her boots, she smiled to herself. It was really nice to already have such a great friend in the game such as Alphabet, someone whom accepted her for who she was and who she could just enjoy having a good time with. She'd never really expected, when she went into this game, to even make any friends that she would really enjoy spending some time with. Yah, it had been her goal, but she'd made one so quick who accepted her so easily- And honestly? It made her really happy.

"Hey, hey. Wait up!" she called, turning and running while pulling on her second boot, catching up to the girl and her dingo. She wondered what other adventures were held in store for her and her little friend.
